Was vacationing in Florida and booked a 3 hr platform session with Noah for form check. The facilities are spotless with the latest equipment. We started discussing lifts and the next time I looked up it was 6 hrs later. Noah is patient, calm, with an encyclopedic knowledge of training. We reviewed my form for the major lifts , Noah recommended several tweaks with Que’s that I will work on to improve. ( especially the importance of breathing correctly and improving shoulder mobility ). But that was just the beginning. We also talk about nutrition, programming ( set for the next year), and general training philosophy.
Highly recommend coaching at Stronger Seniors.

After my 2019 back surgery, I never thought I’d lift anything ever again. Thanks to Noah, my back has never felt better. He helped me learn and maintain proper form in my lifts, and I appreciated discussing guitar and also the lacrosse ball trick he showed me for un-tweaking my back. I’ve continued with powerlifting, and at 64 years old, my posture and back have never been better

I trained with Noah up until he left for St. Pete, and I can confidently say it was a transformative experience—physically and mentally. As a 68-year-old woman and retired librarian, I wasn’t looking for a “coach” exactly, but someone who could gently teach me how to exercise without injury, and encourage me to stick with it. Over two years later, I can say without hesitation: barbell training works. My blood pressure, LDL, triglycerides, and A1C all improved.
By this age, we know the most valuable things in life—friends, family, health, education, even democracy—require effort. Barbell training is no different. It’s not a spectator sport.
Since I started training, I’ve watched friends struggle to carry groceries, get off the floor, or climb porch steps. Barbell training helps prevent that. It builds strength, bone mass, and resilience—even if you’ve had injuries.
If you’re curious, just talk to Noah. No pressure, no pitch—just a conversation. He’s a kind, genuine person.
If a retired librarian can lift a barbell, so can you.

In my late 50s, I was searching for a meaningful exercise routine that would help me to age more confidently. My daughter recommended strength training, something she found to be very beneficial both physically and mentally. I initially balked at the idea since my point of reference was watching people much younger than myself lifting weights that no person my age would do without getting injured.
The more I thought about it, the more curious I became. Was there a coach who was willing to work with older adults looking to weight train for the first time in their lives? This is how I met Noah Hayden. Not only was he willing to train older adults, but he specialized in working with my age group. At first, I was very self-conscious about my ability to succeed in an activity I felt I had little business being involved in at my age. But with Noah’s encouragement, I began to relax.
Each session I attended became more enjoyable and enlightening. Noah’s ability to evaluate my form and correct issues was impressive. Not only did he have an eye for detail, but he was able to clearly explain the reason behind each correction and how it would improve my performance. Pretty soon, I began to feel stronger and more confident. I acquired a clear understanding of each exercise and the positive effects it was having on my body.
The sign of an excellent coach is one that not only encourages their clients but can educate them as well. I always left our sessions feeling successful and more informed on exactly how I performed that day. Noah’s vast knowledge of the human body and how barbell training contributes to a positive aging experience was impressive. I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to be coached by someone of his caliber.

I have known Coach Noah Hayden since 2018. He is an experienced and confident coach, and you will be in safe care under his supervision. I appreciate his attention to minute detail and making safety while lifting a priority. He is an attentive coach, reflective, and always observant. Coach Noah treats each client individually (no cookie-cutter approach) and is dialed into their strengths and challenges. Noah is flexible and will modify your training if you are healing from surgery/injury while living life outside the gym. He has an excellent understanding of biomechanics and how different anthropometry applies to the movement of the barbell.
Coach Noah's extensive knowledge of programming enables clients to achieve their goals. Noah is a lifelong learner, current with research on lifting, nutrition, aging, and health in general, sharing this knowledge to the benefit of his clients. As an older female lifter, I feel safe under the bar with Noah coaching me.

Noah was the first barbell coach I ever hired; I can’t imagine how I could ever hire a better one.
He is supremely knowledgeable and perceptive, his technical knowledge is encyclopedic; he is an all-around good and very interesting guy, and he is without question the person you want on the platform with you if you progress to lifting significantly challenging weights and you want that activity to always be fun and safe while also being the hardest thing you’ll ever do. Noah will guide you to that happy place and you’ll get there with a smile of satisfaction on your face after every session.
With Noah’s help and guidance, my barbell training became the most difficult, and the most enjoyable activity in my life. The benefits have been immeasurable: physically, mentally, and emotionally. He defines what an excellent coach should be.
Full stop.

At 55, I knew I needed a change. My once-active life had become more sedentary than ever, thanks to work, the pandemic, and a serious lack of a regular exercise routine. My energy levels dipped significantly, and I started feeling the aches and stiffness of a more inactive lifestyle. While I had no major health concerns, I knew I needed a change.
Conceptually, I saw the value of weightlifting, but hadn’t touched a weight machine since high school in the early 1980s. After some online research, I found a gym that catered to my age group and decided to give it a shot. After my first consult visit, I knew I was in the right place and signed up immediately.
From the first training session with Noah Hayden, I could tell I was in the right place. Noah’s approach meshed well with my personality and he explained what to do in the appropriate amount of detail so I understood what was expected. The explanations did not feel rushed or routine and my questions were always answered. And as my skill (and knowledge) grew, he seamlessly transitioned to providing the perfect amount of motivation to push me further.
I walked into the gym with a very narrow focus about learning proper technique for lifting but quickly found much more from Noah on how breathing, sleep, nutrition, etc. all affect the lifting. Noah had each workout individually programmed and ready for me on arrival. His plans kept me appropriately challenged and he gave me the confidence that I could lift what he had programmed. During each lift, he offered support on the parts that were done correctly and guidance on the details that needed improvement between sets, all while confidently supporting my growth.
During my time under the bar, Noah's eagle eye caught any minor form deviations. He'd offer immediate and appropriate corrections through verbal cues, preventing potential injuries and ensuring I maximized each lift.
Thanks to Noah's expert guidance and consistent motivation, all of my lifts (squat, press, bench, and deadlift) soared under his watchful eye. Even more importantly, I now feel genuinely strong and confident in the gym, knowing I'm lifting with proper form to avoid injury.
Without reservation, I wholeheartedly recommend Noah Hayden as a coach and am confident he will accelerate your growth on the platform.

my wife and I are in our mid-seventies. My wife has MS. He is an incredible coach who worked incredibly hard with both of us. In fact, he personally took the time to fabricate a knee brace for my wife to stabilize her hyper flexion during work outs which no brace shop had been able to do. A good and caring coach. We miss him in Michigan

Feeling weak and unsteady? Recovering from an auto accident left me in a fragile state, with a constant fear of falling. I was unsteady and weak and needed to find someone patient and knowledgeable in helping someone in their 50s combat not only the decay from aging but the atrophy from an accident. I found Noah and with his expertise he helped restore my strength and ability to move with confidence throughout my day. Barbell training has restored my independence and confidence to live a full and happy life. That is priceless. Noah Hayden will expertly and gently guide you to new strength levels. I am a lifter for life, thanks to Noah.
