Sun Country Sports Center, a family-owned and operated business since 1987, provides recreational and competitive gymnastics at the Millhopper facility. This is the premier training ground for gymnasts in the area. Additional programming, including dance, day camps, Pre-School, After-School, NinjaZone, swimming, rock climbing (and more!) is offered at the West location.

I took my son there for several years, since he was 1 y.o. It was a wonderful experience. He enjoyed gymnastics, ninja and dance classes. He used to go there for camps too. Cannot thank enough the staff for being professional and supportive. Special thanks for Ms. Debbie (gymnastics teacher).

This review is about the swimming program - SwimAmerica at Sun Country Sports Center. My son started here in late June from level of negative 2 - he took a swimming lesson a year ago but never let go of the coach as he was always so scared. After less than two months learning how to swim at Sun Country, he now reached level 4, I believe close to level 5, thanks to Jill, the head coach, and all those wonderful coaches who show tremendous patience when he just started, and all the fine instructions for each stroke and kick improvements. Now he has the confidence in swimming, and more importantly, desire to continue to improve. He even mentioned one day he wants to join a swimming team and complete in a race. I can't say enough how grateful we feel fining this great program. Thank you!

My daughter and I visited the US recently from the UK to watch the Gators. As part of the trip I was able to arrange a couple of sessions at the gymnastics facility!
She had the best time, a welcoming, warming, safe friendly gym. Made some new friends, was coached by the fantastic experienced coaching staff and was able to practice routines whilst also able to learn and try out new skills. As a parent you are able to watch and even though it was a flying visit I got feedback from the coaches. I would absolutely recommend this gymnastic club. My daughter had 2 four hour sessions with the team and I felt that Sam and the team were terrific!! Thank you so much
This was a real opportunity for my daughter and if we come back to Gainesville we will definitely be returning to see the ladies and coaches!

I only have good things to say about Sun Country Sports Center and the experiences Iβve had with their team. Every person Iβve interacted with has been pleasant and goes above and beyond to answer my questions and provide additional information. The program offering is vast and there is always something to choose that my kids enjoy. I am grateful to have such trusting teachers in our community and donβt know what our family would do to stay active without Sun Country!

We had to stay a spell in Gainesville cause of family, so we signed up both kids to the summer camp. It was awesome! Our older child fit right in and weβd get daily reports from him on his adventures. Our younger had some unrelated struggles, which were addressed very sensitively. All the advisors/teachers knew our kids names and projected a sense of confidence and fun that was infectious. Great place for kids.

My son's love Suncountry, both locations. One on team the other loves Ninja school. Everyone is extremely helpful and pleasant. Love that I can drop my older son off and my little can enjoy classes at the other location, they have an amazing amount to offer.

If only 2.5 stars was an option. To start the sign in/ waiver system is convoluted and cumbersome. The gym staff had little concern for the safety of those climbing. The top rope/ lead climbing had some fun moves. The top rope already had a carabiner tied into the climber's end of the rope that is easily cross loaded. If you can tie a figure 8, then you shouldn't pass the belay test (which we never received). The bouldering area is small, short and uninspired. Most problems were completed in a few moves. On the positive side it's a place to climb.

My experience with Sun Country has been horrible from start to finish.
If you have a child with any kind of special needs, I would avoid this place. My daughter was not treated with respect, and they dismissed her immediately and assumed she needed to be in a toddler class as a 4 year old. No steps were taken to ensure she felt welcomed or to slowly acclimate her into the class.
When I sent them an email entailing my experience but it was left completely unanswered. No one responded to the email or called me to discuss my experience.
I had to call them to ask for a refund. They told me a refund would be granted, but instead of a refund they charged me again!! So now I have two charges on my bank account for $205 and I have over $400 tied up. I called to ask about what happened and the response was βI donβt know why you were charged twiceβ
Still no manager has called me to rectify this situation. Iβm sorely disappointed with my experience.

We always had fun coming to this place, but there were some restrictions with what the boys were able to do during the free time in the family fun night. It's a bit frustrating to pay so much money and not be able to do flips and stuff simply because of the limitations on their insurance. We spent lots of money there and I probably won't be a member there again.

This is a business that does right by me.
I am taking a gym class and rock climbing.
The customer service is 5 star! The facility is amazing, the classes are good, the instructors really pay attention to your form. Staff is also well trained and nice.
There are great gymnastic fields, a climbing wall, outdoor pool and I could go on and on.
Go here and focus on your physical well being. You'll not be disappointed.

Great facility! My daughter loves going here! The staff works well with the kids and they are always being challenged to compelte their skill. The summer camp is also great, they do swimming, go on field trips, and stay active! Should definitly send your kids here!!

My daughter has been going here for numerous things for years! After trial and error at other places, we won't go anywhere else. She has been here for Spring Break Camp, Summer Camp, swimming lessons (Coach Eric got her swimming- thanks Eric!) and gymnastics! They always have TONS of fun activities so the kids don't get bored and they stay active!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!!! Highly recommend!!!

The investment of a Sun Country gymnastics enrollment for my children has paid dividends. Both my daughters and my son have learned valuable life skills, as well as strength and athleticism, starting at preschool age. My daughters participate in the competition team (USAG), and the coaches and staff are extremely professional, caring, and trained to work with young children. There is much value in the gymnastics program and we've seen many positive benefits in our children. We've been members of Sun Country for almost 7 years.
