If I could give you "0" stars I would. The St. Pete Police department made the owner refund me in cash after threatening me and having to admit that the cameras do not record the live feed giving me no recourse in court for your abusive tyrade. Maybe some roid rage, red-faced overprivileged meathead gym owner that can't do basic algebra and has to overcharge people to make ends meet shouldn't be judging people that take public transit to other cities to work jobs far more complicated than yours. If I cannot use the gym lockers to store a change of workout clothes and my workboots in between AA meetings, therapy appointments and other areas of my life that flourish as a result of regular exercise than maybe you're in the wrong profession. The three weeks that I was a member there my card never worked, you never offered me any assistance with the machines, never had a kind word and only worried about the bill. I do not recommend this gym. Thanks for the refund. Go knock someone's tectbooks outta their hands. 👍🥱🤓

My family is staying at the Ronald McDonald house while our son receives life saving care at Johns Hopkins and this Gym generously provides free access for us. I travelled down for the weekend and searched through the various gyms. I’m glad I chose this one because it was exactly what I was after. Friendly and welcoming staff upon entry. At least one of every staple machine/cable. Not a busy gym either (although I hope they get enough business), which lends itself well to when you go at off peak times. I would recommend to any visitor to St Pete who needs a good place to workout.

Not just a gym but a lot more as they offer free weights here, machines and also classes for Zumba, Pilates and basic aerobic fitness. Access is normally 24 hours a day Monday thru Thursday however they do close overnight on the weekends and Friday. There are tanning rooms available, locker rooms with showers and also a daycare to provide quality care for infants and young children. I shouldn't forget to mention when you first walk in you are greeted by friendly faces also a complete snack bar with shakes available also ready to drink items such as water protein shakes and energy drink always in stock. Hunter is the gym manager along with the rest of the staff have been there for a long time and generally know everything there is to know about Fitness and also your fitness goals, with a host of other trainers involved as well truly fantastic.

During my visit to town, I joined Suncoast Fitness for a couple of months, making use of their flexible membership options. Hunter and the guys were incredibly friendly, fostering a sense of community within the gym. Despite not being as expansive as some of the larger chains, I personally prefer this. Suncoast offers an extensive array of equipment, catering to various fitness preferences, whether you're into weightlifting, circuit training, or HIIT workouts. Moreover, the gym is impeccably clean and conveniently situated near St. Pete's major attractions. Without a doubt, Suncoast will remain my top choice whenever I return to town!

Was in town for the long weekend, I didn’t want to go to any cookie cutter gym. I saw the heavy weights and old school machines and I’m like “let me try this one out” the gentleman who signed me in was super friendly and once we shook hands I knew he was my type of lad! Great local gym in downtown st pete. I came in here for a trial pass, I’m new to the area and looking to change from my La fitness membership to something local. It’s very clean; paper and spray throughout to wipe machines, not crowded AT ALL and that’s completely worth a few extra bucks every month over a big box gym. Everything standard you need is here, plus a nice selection of a few machine variations that are less common.

The owner (Hunter) is actually on property as the manager and you can tell it’s run with quality in mind. Local gyms always have nice touches, better people working there, and even small things (like candles in the bathroom). Lots of natural light in several of the rooms (pretty rare in a gym) and in a great location. Showers and Lockers. Definitely recommend if you’re a gym rat. Local is the way to go !

I've been a member of Suncoast Fitness for some time now and I can confidently say that it's helped me reach my fitness goals in ways I never thought possible. I moved to St. Pete about two years ago and was in need of a great gym. I heard that Crunch and the other gyms in the area were always packed and there were lines for equipment. Not at Suncoast. You can work out without being bothered by social media photoshoots in the middle of the gym (Crunch). The ownership and management team is also great.

Hunter has been a friend of mine for many years, but over the years I’ve seen him really grow into the person he is now. I saw he was doing life coaching and I reached out to him, because I wanted some of what he has. I’ve had a lot of issues that have bothered me lately, when I started seeing him for the coaching he’s really helped me out a lot. Can't recommend this place enough; When the gym moved to DTSP, the owner did a great job making use of the space available to him and fitting all the necessary equipment. The staff are awesome, the gym is never too crowded with people, there's all the equipment you could possibly need (including plate-loaded machines, which I usually only see in larger spaces). If you need a gym downtown, go ahead and ditch your apartment fitness center, this place is totally worth it.

This gym is the best I have ever been to. I’ve been coming here for 1.5 years (since summer 2019) and have gained more strength, muscle, confidence than ever before using the techniques and equipment here, along with the help of many trained fitness staff. I have achieved fitness Goals in both strength gain and fat loss than I ever imagined possible. Thank you suncoast fitness! I work out consistently 3 to 5 days a week and that consistency has been helpful. This place has much better staff, equipment, and prices than any other gym including LA fitness. To be honest it’s the best gym when it comes to hours and equipment. No other compares in St. Petersburg. But..... unfortunately the reviews are very true about poor customer service. They are very very rude when you ask about membership fees and cancelation. I was charged twice in a matter of 10 days and was given a short “we don’t care explanation.” I feel very uncomfortable going into the gym due to covid and there were no precautions taken to prevent the spread of the virus as well as no information sent to members about preventive measures. Customer service is rude, very poor and needs to be restructured. I highly recommend going to another gym. I took a risk knowing the reviews of customer service reviews were bad and unfortunately this is a common theme for this gym. Times are tough for people and they are taking advantage of people’s memberships due to their own revenue loss. I HIGHLY recommend another gym unless you want to deal with multiple charges in the same month and fighting off covid 19. I hope this helps please be aware.

I had to turn off auto-pay because of financial hardships during this epidemic and I figured that they wouldn't be charging because they are closed down anyways. They sent their billing company after me, calling, texting and emailing. I loved this gym and was a member for a couple of years. Excellent classes! The only thing I was disappointed in was the way my discontinuation of membership was handled. Everyone should be aware that they require a 2 month notice of move, which is fine however then they tried to charge me the annual fee even after I had moved away. I was sent to collections for it! I was very surprised that a loyal member of 2 years who ALWAYS paid on time would be treated this way. I would expect a little more consideration.

Not a parking spot at 6 pm had to leave because a back up waiting for spots in the lot. I've already paid and have only been twice and didn't' want to wait longer to get a parking spot. I have mixed feelings about this gym. The location is super convenient for me, it's clean, and the staff is friendly. Overall, if you're looking for just those three things, you're set.

However, both getting a membership and cancelling are a little wild. I signed up for a membership without really understanding anything related to what came with it. I didn't even know tiers existed until a few days later, and I had to call the gym to have them explained. It's on me for not asking more questions when I was there to sign up, but I will say that when I did ask questions, I got vague responses (i.e. "Can I have a guest?" "Yeah, bring them in, and we'll get them taken care of." Does that mean they have to pay? Is it free? Are you going to make them get a membership?) I also was not given a tour of the gym, so I had to wander around for a good while to even find the bathroom. I still don't know where half of the machines I want to use are in there.

Cancelling the membership requires 60 days notice in-person. That seems a little exaggerated to me.

I love, love the spinning staff here!! I have seen super results in just 3 weeks!! Lana, Joyce, etc. all great!! Price is fair monthly considering all the classes are included except Crossfit, but they have it there if u want to do that. Also it is very convenient and hours are fantastic. If you show up early in the morning, you will be greeted by the sweetest man- clapping for you, congratulating you on making it in, and wishing you a great workout! That alone makes the endorphins flow even before I’ve hit the weights or treadmill.

Great classes, especially body pump. Come for the gym, stay for the positive affirmations and the encouragement. Hand down- the highlight of my mornings (besides coffee.)

My wife and i have tried to cancel our accounts several times. Stopping by several times in person. Each time the manager is not in and the account can not be cancelled. We were told to mail a letter in and the accounts would be cancelled. We have mailed in 2 certified letter stating to close our accounts. The accounts were never closed. We stopped paying and were sent to collections. They have terrible customer service and the gym is old and dirty. I would definitely not recommend being a member of this gym.

Huge layout. Older small locker room. Nice and workout knowledgeable staff. Your allowed to dead lift and there's tons of equipment.

This gym is pretty decent and kind of old school. People are friendly and willing to help. Equipment is clean and mostly good working condition. The fees are a little high for what you get. $29.99 per month and some equipment has been broken for a while. No gym court or swimming pool.

Great gym! Joined a few weeks ago on using their Groupon and I’m glad I did. You tend to see familiar faces and there are tons of machines so you hardly have to weight. It can be pretty packed after working hours though. Also some of the equipment is older. But I definitely think I’ll be coming back after my Groupon expires!

A no frills gym that's friendly and usually not too crowded. Good spin classes, and a thorough weight room. Pricing is fair. Wish they'd upgrade some of the facilities in the future, maybe with treadmills that have fans, and new stretching mats

This is not to bad for a local gym. Lots of space versus LA Fitness off 4th. The equipment is a little old but lots of great classes for free. Prices of membership is pretty good too.
