SWET is a boutique fitness studio. You can expect large group fitness classes specializing in STRENGTH and PERFORMANCE. We channel our inner athletes in every class whether you've played sports or not, we will train like one. We believe that everyone is an athlete. At SWET our level of excellence is studied and implemented in every aspect of the gym from our decor, to our coaches, to our style of workouts and education in each class. WE LIFT, WE SHRED, WE SWET.
You can also take advantage of one-on-one or small group programs that are designed to give you the personal attention and coaching you need at prices you can afford.

Avery was amazing!!! He took me "under his wing" and explained everything that I needed explained. My first class was scary, but everyone that I came in contact with was super. Bri invited me and I'm glad she did. She's FANTASTIC!!! 💯💯💯

Best workout around. This gym is elite. There isn’t a coach there that isn’t great. Workouts are well planned, upscale equipment, app is easy and user friendly. There isn’t a thing missing at SWET. You can tell from the second you walk in this gym its top notch.

I've probably written several reviews for Swet St. Pete (and Seminole), but I honestly can't say enough about how much I love the people and the workouts! I just hit my 924th class today, so you can trust me on this recommendation. The front desk staff and coaches are all incredibly welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable, and they go out of their way to get to know and motivate everyone there. Swet's programming reflects the most current science-based training so that EVERYONE, whether you're a high-level fitness competitor or a gym newbie, can get a great workout and make gains. SWET is hands down the best gym in St. Pete! The workouts are challenging and always varied, so I never hit that ‘plateau’ feeling I’ve experienced at other gyms. The coaches are incredible, and the overall offerings make it a top-tier fitness experience. I started 3 months postpartum and have been going 6 days a week for a year and a half now—I can’t imagine starting my day any other way! If you’re thinking about joining, just do it—you won’t regret it!

I've been going to this gym for three years now. I love it. Great workouts, great formats, and great staff. They have strength training formats and HIIT formats that vary based on the day of the week. The movements are explained in depth and dynamic warmups are done in about 10 minutes at the start of class. The workouts follow immediately and are usually about 32-40 minutes of continuous movement depending on the format. I average about 500 Cals burned every class.

SWET is an amazing gym. The workouts are fantastic and have greatly helped me stay healthy and avoid injuries for my sports (skiing & volleyball). I've been introduced to many new stretches and lifts that help my mobility (getting old kinda sucks). The workouts are also designed to push your body to it's limits if that's your goal. Been working out here as a member for the past two months…all the trainers are super motivating and receptive. The workouts are well designed (challenging but still able to be completed) and always keep your body guessing. They also preach mobility and stretching every class which is so important in reducing injury. 10/10 would recommend to beginners and elite fitness enthusiasts.

SWEAT overall is a great group fitness studio that is welcoming for all levels of strength training enthusiasts. The interactions with the crew is unforgettable, they are extremely friendly and welcoming, from the monthly social outings to greeting you upon entry in the studio. Each coach pays great attention to the members working out, shouting encouragement to you, you never feel like you have to push yourself dangerously and only as much as you can handle. I never feel bad going at my own pace and always end the class dropping in sweat with a nice high-five from the coach. If youre looking to build your strength, stamina, and certainly tone up, I would always recommend the LIFT classes and to start with Fridays LIFT Total Body so you can get an idea of what you would expect if you did LIFT Mondays (Legs) or LIFT Wednesdays (Arms). Because I dont want to bulk up, I always go lighter than whats given usually on the weights for arm day LIFT for example.
While the studio currently excels in strength-focused classes (LIFT and SHRED), the recent removal of cardio related and HIIT options was disappointing for those seeking a well-rounded workout regimen. Similarly, the absence of the Sculpt Sundays class, which blended strength training in faster paced circuits was also a bummer, pretty much the only classes I really went to got removed haha. I personally enjoyed the HIIT classes that focused on arm strength as finding a cardio class that you can stick through without it feeling like a chore is tough so it was sad to see that go. I was told that SHRED and HIIT would be merging at that point, but honestly SHRED alone was wayyyy too difficult for me when I just wanted to focus on the HIIT classes as those were more manageable for my stamina.
Perhaps I missed the announcements but I think addressing the absence of the cardio related classes, or providing alternatives from other local businesses for those looking for those options as a balance, would further enhance the studio's appeal and cater to a broader range of fitness preferences.

Visiting from Texas although I’m a Florida native, I do CrossFit back in San Antonio and I’m here visiting for 3 weeks and needed a good SWEAT! I came on a Saturday and it was a partner workout which I usually dread, but the staff was so sweet and welcoming and so was my partner! I bought a week pass and can’t wait to come back. 10/10

No-nonsense gym with transparent pricing. If you want to have guided training for an affordable price, this is the place to go. They charge $5 for a trial class + a free week, which I think is a fair price. You can go try them out and then decide whether it's the right thing for you, because while they encourage you to find your own pace, it sure is very intense (esp. the cardio).

I was a religious OrangeTheory and F45 gal before trying SWEAT St. Pete and now I will never go anywhere else. SWEAT doesn’t have the franchise aspect of the other chain boutique gyms that can get away with similar workouts each time - SWEAT changes it up every single day. I never know what I am getting into when I show up, but it is ALWAYS 🔥🔥🔥. The coaches and staff are so friendly and ready to help. I couldn’t recommend giving it a shot enough, even if you have “gym-xiety” (fear of trying a new gym) like me. I guarantee you won’t want to go anywhere else after.

A good place for classes If you have been working out, know how to use a barbell / perform crossfit type of movements. They do have 'sculpt' classes but are only offered a few times a month...4 if you're lucky. Otherwise it is primary hit, lift and shred. Membership can be expensive, gym is crowded, & is open. So no AC. The exercise is demonstrated once, of course you can ask questions but with only one coach, it can be difficult to get their attention. Overall, felt it was unsafe for me to continue there. I'd recommend doing the drop in classes prior to signing up.

The class at sweat was decent. Nice space with new equipment and friendly staff. Only complaint would be that the class was very very full and the instructor did not walk around coaching much. Felt more like an at home video workout where we all happened to be there at the same time. Not overly instructional.

I never thought I’d be one to like a class-based gym but I am OBSESSED with Sweat. The name speaks for itself…I leave dripping head to toe every time I go. There are multiple classes to choose from, so if HIIT isn’t you thing you can take Lift or one of the other classes they offer. Everyone is so nice and friendly and I’ve already made a few friends there! Also the aesthetic of the gym is so cute. I really can’t say enough good things about this gym. I am a travel nurse and truly don’t know what I’m gonna do when I move and have to find a new gym because I don’t think anything can compare to Sweat. You can tell they put a lot of thought and effort behind the format of the classes and helping make sure you build strength over time. I’ve only been going for a little over a month and can already see a difference in my body. Like I said I truly am obsessed!!!

When I initially joined it was intimidating because everyone was fit, I had never touched a bar bell or lifted heavy weights. The name has changed and the gym is bigger (and even better) than before, but the skilled and personalized training is still the best. I am 51 years old and healthier and stronger than ever thanks to the workouts and nutrition education I've received at Sweat St.Pete. It is more than just a gym; it is a community, and I'm thankful for the amazing friendships, relationships and support systems I've found there.
From 2017: I’ve been attending personal training and group classes at the Body Shoppe since the opening day and in less than 2 years have transformed my body. Thanks to Jodi’s expert training, ongoing support and positive motivation I’ve become stronger, leaner and healthier than I ever thought I could. The Body Shoppe gym is clean, organized and stylish and the camaraderie with the instructors and other members is great. I didn't know if I would be able to keep up with the challenges but after trying it out for the first time I fell in LOVE! When you look at photos of the people at The Body Shoppe, and see a group of fit people, don't think for a minute we started that way. Jodi and the staff at the Body Shoppe made us that way. When you take a class at the Body Shoppe, you start out thinking "I can't do this" and end the work out thinking "I did it and it felt great - can't wait until the next one!" Jodi and her staff will push you to your limits, while encouraging you to do your best. They will teach you proper technique, at whatever your skill level is. You will never get in a rut because you never do the same workout twice. The nice thing is that you don't have to sign up for a gym membership to take classes - you can pay as you go or buy a package. You're not stuck in a contract. But, you'll go back, because these workouts are addictive. You have the option of group classes (Sweat Shoppe) or semi-private (Small Shoppe), or Open Gym (go at your own pace).
