Swim SRQ is the best swimming school for kids. It’s been 2 years for my daughter and she has gone so far. Coaches are dedicated and staff is very friendly. Always looking for a way to feel welcomed.

I would give more stars if I could!! My daughter was not the easiest to teach, but our instructor, Moriah, has done wonders. Moriah has been patient, stern when she needed to be, but most importantly, she made learning to swim fun and engaging. When we started, my daughter would freeze the moment she found herself in the water (and sink like a rock). I cannot express my joy....we just got back from a family vacation and she swam in the deep end of the pool all by herself. She floated beautifully. She dove down and collected toys from the bottom of the pool....she was proud of herself, I'm proud of her, I'm so thankful for Moriah and SwimSRQ.

Do not use this company for swim lessons if you have a child with special needs who requires routine and structure. Our experience with Swim SRQ has traumatized my son to the point that he does not want to get into any pool at all- prior to lessons he loved to be in the pool. This review is specifically for the LWR location but also for the admin for this company in general. This review is specifically for the LWR location, but also for the admin of the company. They will switch swim instructors without warning and force your child into uncomfortable situations with these new strange instructors. You will have no opportunity for a refund as they will offer you a make up class with another new instructor, even if your child is not comfortable. Every week seems to be new rules about which lanes are allowed to be used which also triggered my son who needs routine. Sometimes the kids are disrupted mid lesson to switch lanes/locations in the pool to allow for gym members to use certain lanes. Children are not allowed to use the bathrooms and when I asked about using the family bathroom I was told no because my child was wet. So good luck if your child needs to go to the bathroom- I guess they are expected to go in the pool (which my special needs child will not). I have a son without special needs and have also removed him from lessons here as the quality has really gone down hill over the past 2 months. We will be seeking lessons elsewhere in the area with a company who is open to teaching those of all needs and abilities.

We have been with SwimSRQ since January 2024 with our toddler. Stacy has always been great to work with to answer my emails very quickly and working with us when I need to make adjustments to our Little Ones schedule. All of the instructors we have worked with have been great. They take their time and are kind when it can be tough days with a toddler. Moriah, Peyton, Anna, and Joscelyn have been a pleasure to work with and appreciate them in our Little Ones swimming journey.

I absolutely loved the SwimSRQ experience the intensive 1 on 1 two week course was top-tier. Mrs. Ashley was a wonderful instructor and was very good with the kids. Mrs.Ashley was thorough and explained to me each day’s activities and gave me pointers to work on at home. My four year-old daughter and my six-year-old son are swimming! Day 1 my daughter wouldn’t let the water touch her face and she’s swimming and floating now!!! My babies enjoy the water now more than ever. They are able to roll over and float. They are able to get out of the pool, they absolutely enjoyed themselves and had a wonderful time. Thank you, thank you, thank you I will be back soon. Trying to work out my schedule to bring them one day a week. I’m over 30 miles away, but the class is definitely worth the drive! The LA fitness facility is clean the staff are inviting, the members are nice as well.Thank you Mrs. Ashley for being so patient and kind to my children. You are appreciated.

We've had a great experience with Swim SRQ. We find the instructors to be knowledgeable and focused on teaching fundamentals and proper technique, while also focusing on pool safety. My three little boys have been having lessons with Ms. Katelynn for a few months now and have made amazing progress. They went from refusing to be near the water and screaming to constantly asking me if they can go to their cousin’s house to play in the pool. Swim SRQ Admin is also great about working with your schedule. I wanted specific days with the same instructor and when I didn’t see that available I contacted them and they immediately switched things around to accommodate my family. Response time to any questions or concerns is also very fast and I can tell they really care about all the kids and communicating well with the families. I’m very happy with Swim SRQ so far and highly recommend them!

We have been at swim SRQ for about a year total. We started with mommy and me classes with Mrs. Linda who was GREAT with little ones. Then we started beginner classes with Mrs. Nicole recently she is so patient with my son and goes above and beyond. The owner Josh is a great communicator and always exceeds what I expect. He is very cordial, considerate and willing to work with your schedule. This company has made sure that lessons are available at different times, days and different areas of the community. They truly care about making the availability and cost of swim lessons attainable. We are so thankful to be part of the SWIM SRQ family.

We are now taking our youngest to swim lessons at the new LWR location at LA Fitness, the facility is so nice and clean. My daughters new swim coach, Ms. Moriah, is amazing with the kids and has a wonderful calm temperament that really helps when a child is having a rough day at swim. I couldn’t say more about this team of swim instructors they are all so great. From the office admin to the swim instructors we have had nothing but the best experience.

Ms. Delaney was great with my son. He was comfortable with her from day 1. He is in the intensive class and we are almost done with this class. He went into the pool knowing how to use floaties only. He has learned how to free style, learning how to float in a pool, how to get out on his own. She is so patient with him and as a mother, it's great when you can see the confidence in your child!

My 3.5 year old has been enrolled in SwimSRQ since March 2024. Before that we were enrolled at a different local swim school from 6 months old but progressing slowly.
Since transferring we have been overwhelmed by the development of skill and ability he has learned. Within a few short weeks he was swimming independently, now he is able to do the front and back stroke and retrieve toys from the bottom of the pool. We have to thank Catelynn for fostering our sons swim development and love for swimming! He gets so excited to attend his lesson.

My daughter has been going to SwimSRQ for a couple years now and we are so happy we found them! We love SwimSRQ! We started off at a large swim school where I felt like everything was taught by the books. There wasn’t much individualized and I didn’t feel like my daughter was making much improvements. We found SwimSRQ and have used multiple coaches and have loved all of them. They all have a passion for teaching kids swimming but in a fun manner but also with a priority for keeping them safe. We have especially loved Coach Nicole! This is a great swim school for any kid. The staff is attentive and there are numerous classes to choose from. Swimming is fun for my 6yo but it does not come easily to him. His instructor Jake made him feel at ease every time and taught him necessary safety skills that he will need for a lifetime of swimming.

We travel to FL to visit our relatives and while we were there we enrolled our boys in lessons to make sure they were safe around pools. We have family that live near Lakewood Ranch area. When we visit them we like to keep our 3 year old and 6 year old active in the pools and get them comfortable in the water. We reached out to SwimSRQ for lessons through their website. They were very responsive and provided a variety of timeslots for our two kids. Each child did two lessons during an extended MLK holiday weekend for us. The 3 year old swam 2 Beginner lessons with Nicole, and our 6 year did 2 intermediate lessons with Jake. Toward the end of the second lesson, Nicole was able to get our 3 year old floating on her back. Jake was able to teach our 6 year old proper backstroke kicking technique and getting her to swim straight in the lane. We are very happy with the instructors at SwimSRQ and would definitely go again to SwimSRQ the next time we visit family.
