What a great environment for my daughter. Juan does a great job in not only teaching taekwondo but brings his life experiences and teaches from the heart. Our daughter gets so much more than a “taekwondo class”. She has an excitement, passion, and eagerness to learn the sport she’s loving that gratefully gets matched with the experience and care all parents would be thrilled to have. Thank you Juan

I love this facility. I take the adult boxing class and it’s one of the best workouts I’ve ever had. Coach Juan is a great instructor for both adults and children. I’ve overseen the end of one of his classes with a younger group and I love the discipline and respect he commands. It’s much needed in today’s society.

A couple of years ago, my daughter became interested in martial arts. So, we decided to check out the schools in the area and observe some classes. We unfortunately left most of the schools disappointed. We were NOT impressed by the training and the feeling that we were just a $ sign for a belt factory. Then one evening we walked into Taekwondo Athletic Center (TAC for short). We were MORE than impressed with the training, level of knowledge, experience and coaching skills that Master Instructor Juan Catalan showed. My daughter went back the following evening to try a class and the rest is history. I joined the adult class 2 weeks later at the age of 52. I’m now 55 and in the best shape of my life!
Master Juan Catalan is a superior elite level coach/instructor. If you are looking for a program that provides the mental and physical skills to go to the next level, then this is where you want to be! The level of training and coaching is unparalleled. It opens doors of opportunity, not only to elite level athletics, but to success in all aspects of life. It is a blessing to have the opportunity to train here. Taekwondo Athletic Center is one of the best places for growth. Coach Juan Catalan has helped me grow as an athlete and individual. Together, we have touched souls that I never knew about. Fantastic place for training, conditioning, and different martial arts too! What makes TAC so special is Coach Catalan’s personal touch to training. He doesn’t hire any other instructors to dilute his teachings. Instead, you grow a strong connection to Coach and everyone you meet at TAC! Couldn’t ask for a better teacher and mentor

Coach Juan is amazing. I have been training for over a month and it’s the first time I am this committed and engaged to a class.

For the record, I did reach out to Juan privately about his behavior but he never contacted me to discuss my concerns, nor did he make any attempt to explain, correct or otherwise discuss the behavior with my kids. His only response was, "Sorry it didn't work out."
He's happy to bully children, but when a parent calls him on his behavior he has nothing to say. That's not coaching. As far as his new facility, he did recently down-size his school to a smaller space.

I just pulled my kids out of his program after 18 months. Both are teen black belts and I wish I had done it sooner.
If you are interested in TKD or competitive Olympic sparring you’d be better off at G3 in Margate or Parkland TKD. Both are excellent schools that don’t engage in the bullying and verbal abuse Mr. Catalan prides himself on.

We have been coming here for four years and would not change this school for anyone. Everyone here treats you like family not a number. Sir Catalan has Coached my son four years in a row at a National level. Bringing home the Gold twice. My son has won many State Championships as well under Sir Catalan. If you ever meet my son you would not know he is the current State Champ and National Champ. Catalan has taught him to be humble in defeat as in victory. Sir Catalan himself is very humble, sincere, and honest. I have a three year old that will be joining this School when he is of age. We also do the Summer Camps here as well. There is no such thing as too much Taekwondo!
