The best word to describe Intro to Tamp Tango Argentino School of Dance is “Awesome”. My wife and I just completed an 8-week introduction to Argentine Tango and we had fun from week 1 to week 8. Fede and Vicky are amazing instructors and are truly committed to sharing their years of knowledge to help you be a better Tango dancer. They start with the basics of walking first then slowly transition you to “Ochos”, “Parada’s”, “Barrida’s”, and so much more. I loved taking these classes with Vicky and Fede! I took both tango I and II. They are really great instructors, very passionate about Argentine Tango, and super talented. Very sweet and dedicated. They explain everything in a way that is easy to understand, it is beginner friendly, and they give good tips. You learn the steps as well as the overall style and mood. You will learn tango correctly from the basics, and develop a strong foundation as well as more advanced techniques and moves. They come around and check your progress and correct or give feedback as needed. Definitely an accesible class to take as an adult!
They are also really friendly and welcoming, and obviously care about you as a student and if you have a good experience. I found it be great value for the price as well. I liked the demos they do in each class. It was structured well, where you could feel the progression with each class, where they build on top of each other so I felt like I was actually learning a skill and becoming good/knowledgable instead of just dropping into classes.
Overall, it was super fun and enjoyable, I learned a lot, and Vicky and Fede have a great teaching style and work really well together. I enjoyed my experience a lot and would highly recommend!

I love the instruction and atmosphere. Instructors really understand the language of dance! It's a super welcoming environment, especially to total Tango noobies like myself! I plan to be a life long Argentine Tango dancer!

Class Pros:
1. Instruction moves quickly, but not TOO quickly.
2. Instructors lead and follow very well
3. The class is organized very well!
4. Students are friendly and helpful
5. Fairly priced (especially compared to Traditional Franchise ballroom lessons, i.e. Fred Astaire Studio)

I discovered Tango Argentino many years ago by a coincidence in Vienna. Almost immediately I was smitten by the passion and harmony. Then it was forgotten for a long time. A few months ago I was looking for a place to get back to it and I found Tampa Tango Argentino dance studio. Federico and Victoria were incredibly welcoming and after a few lessons I knew I found great teachers. They teach steps, sequences and especially connection between partners which is the soul of this dance and makes it so irresistible. You can be a beginner or advanced, in Tampa Tango Argentino you are in good hands. When you watch Federico and Victoria dancing, you simply forget to breath. And you are hooked.

Victoria and Federico are fantastic teachers. I had danced tango in the past, but only once I started taking classes with them have I noticed a substantial progress in my overall technique. They teach in a well thought through manner so that all aspects of the dance are covered, but the classes are also fun! Federico and Victoria are very skilled dancers and teachers. The classes are always fun and engaging. They focus on honing their learners’ technique and do it through careful sequence of steps. Friday night milongas that give an opportunity to practice with the dancers of mixed levels, which is always beneficial for beginners. Excellent Argentine Tango teachers! I would say they are by far the best teachers in the Tampa Bay area! I loved my experience learning Tango there. Federico and Victoria is a very friendly and vibrant couple, and excellent dancers! I very much appreciated and enjoyed their patience in teaching and teaching style, carefully showing all the fundamentals and subtle nuances involved in how to correctly and confidently lead in Argentine Tango. I took my first Tango lesson from Victoria Sarquisse and Federico Jorquera from 2010. They are still the best Instructors in the Tampa Bay area. I like their fundamental way to teach the beginners and depths of techniques for seasoned dancers. It’s much easier to learn when you have a pair instructor to show you steps in the classroom. They always carry a friendly attitude and willing to help students to go on to the next level.

Tampa Tango Argentino does a fantastic job at communicating and expressing the embodiment of Argentine Tango through their teachings and social milongas. This dance helps with relieving that daily stress, your posture, body sensitivity building, flexibility, stability, core body control, communication skills, musicality, adaptability, and constructive criticism. The venue is just the right size for the classes. The dance studio is great for classes comprising of mirrors, a spotless wooden floor, a small social area on the side, and speakers to provide surround sound to cover the entire floor. It always feels like Christmas there and however, there is no water fountain so make sure to bring some water or purchase water for a small price. The classes are fun, challenging, and everyone is always so supporting and helpful to each other. There is always a class available for anyone who may want to learn argentine tango, whether just beginning or looking for a more advanced class. Class sizes are perfect for a balance of individualized attention from both instructors as well as being able to dance with a variety of other dancers with different perspectives and constructive criticism to get the optimal learning experience. Milongas are every Friday and have always felt very comfortable, friendly, fun, homey and all around a great time. Between the friendly community, amazing tango music, and fun dancing it’s an awesome way to spend a Friday night.
