Dirty studio, dirty floors, dirty building. Parking is a nightmare. Building is falling apart. Classes are unorganized and management doesn't address any concerns of their members. If you want some semblance of a civilized yoga studio, look elsewhere.

Pretentious teachers. Yoga routines are chaotic. Building is falling apart. Parking situation is a casino on finding a spot. If you pay for an unlimited membership, they charge you MORE if you miss a class, regardless of the fact you've already paid for a spot in the class. Try Yoga6 instead. Much better run studio.

The Sound Bath experience is an excellent way to decompress and step into the present moment. Jessica’s way of creating a sacred space is very helpful and healing. I look forward to the next moments of stillness that this gathering offers.

I truly can’t get enough of this yoga studio. I started going here with my grandma back in 2016 and although I don’t live in St. Pete anymore I always make it a point to do at least one class at the BE. The teachers are amazing and lead wonderful classes whether it be hot hatha with Jenny or power flow with Kaitlyn. The studio is beautiful and quite literally my happy place. I’ve gone to several yoga studios since moving out of FL and not one has even come close to giving me the same experience the BE still to this day does. This studio holds so much sentimental value to me and I can’t recommend it enough.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this studio. It's more than just a yoga studio. From the moment I walked in, I felt a sense of warmth, acceptance, and peace. The instructors are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also deeply compassionate, creating an environment that fosters both physical and mental transformation. Before joining, I was searching for more than just a workout—I needed a space to reconnect with myself, reduce stress, and find balance in my life. This studio gave me all that and more. The classes cater to all levels, and each session leaves me feeling stronger, more centered, and truly renewed. What sets BE studio apart is the sense of community they cultivate. The instructors genuinely care about their students and create a supportive environment where everyone feels welcome. The fellow yogis are supportive, encouraging, and genuinely invested in each other’s growth. The studio space itself is beautiful and serene, with calming decor and great lighting - it really helps to enhance the yoga experience. All of the teachers are exceptional - they are patient, encouraging, and always provide thoughtful adjustments to help me deepen my practice. Whether you're looking to deepen your practice, relieve stress, or just find a place to breathe, BE is a sanctuary that will change your life too.

Thank you to the entire team for creating such a magical space! I’m forever grateful. 🙏💜

I am so thankful to have found the Body Electric Yoga Company.

Incredible facility. Unmatched community. Knowledgeable, passionate instructors.

I felt all of this just from one class, and I can’t wait to continue my journey here. I think I’ve been to every single yoga studio in St. Pete over the last two months and nothing matches this one.

Thank you Body Electric. I’ve been praying for a space like this.

Absolutely incredible yoga studio, feels like magic actually. I only wish I lived in community I'm in Orlando but visiting on vacation. I popped in the Friday 7:15am community with Holly she was a fantastic teacher, the heat was excellent, only $5 so I had to buy something just to contribute more oh also the sound bath Saturday night! I could ramble on all day about my experience. It's a whole vibe and I wish I could transplant it to my neighborhood, so go enjoy the gem you have and the amazing massage studio next door. Book both same day and treat yourself like I did today!!! LOVED it

REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE WITH A TEACHER & THEN THEY GOUGED ME FOR MY MEMBERSHIP FEE RATHER THAN MAKING IT RIGHT - THOUGH THEY ADMITTED WHAT THE TEACHER SAID TO ME WAS ABSOLUTELY OUT OF LINE. I'd been a member for many years, but was unpleasantly bothered by one teacher who always made negative comments re: me not taking his class. I took all other classes, all other teachers, happily. Both I (and others this guy pestered) politely declined, saying "oh gosh - just doesn't work for my schedule.') But then one day he was subbing for my class and said possibly the most rude, aggressive, insulting thing to me (after again chiding me for not taking his classes). I've since heard around town that this is his mojo. I told him directly and I discussed with managers Abby and Lauren. The end result was that it seemed "discussed" but also "well he's been here 8 years and we've now talked to him so" - I knew that I needed to find a studio that would make me feel good & safe when I walk in at 7am to do healthy, hard things. Here's the rub - after many years of membership, I'd just paid my full annual membership in May. I asked for a prorated refund. They instead only refunded $424 (less than half of what I was due) b/c they said they "charged me back" for non-member costs of my May-June classes. I was trying to be fair and just move on. (E.g. I did not lawyer-up or such.) I said "I'm not a regular customer leaving on a whim - your staff member was aggressive and insulting - I'm only asking for a fair refund of the 10 remaining months I'd paid for." They disregarded my many years of membership payments to them and evidently they needed those extra couple bucks one wee little yogi, me, trying to move the money forth to pay for a nicer studio. So those bucks are my gift to them. #Karma

Caution: Do not purchase a two week unlimited package, or probably any unlimited package for that matter. I purchased a two week unlimited package (for my first time trying this yoga studio). I got REALLY sick two days after signing up. Not only did they not offer to extend my package, but they also charged me $8 for not cancelling a class (fyi there's no cancel option through the Mindbody app). In total, I spent $58 for one class because I got sick. The one class I did get to attend was ok, so it might be worth attending a class or two. Try purchasing a drop in package or a package bundle instead of unlimited and maybe it will work out for you. I even inquired about a company package to provide to our employees while I was there, and I was told they don't offer anything like that - fair enough, but silly. Personally, I feel like these are poor business practices for those interested in regularly attending any studio.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for the BE yet! It has been my yoga home for 4 years now. It is one of my favorite places on earth, for real. The teachers are absolutely incredible. I have lived in a handful of cities with bad ass yoga options but the BE tops them all. The physical space is gorgeous, a whole vibe. But back to the teachers-they are sooo good. They put together amazing flows with the perfect music. They are warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and the intimidation factor is zero. My physical shape has varied in my years of practice here and I am treated amazing at all times, no matter what without an ounce of judgment. My growth as a person has been helped along so much by my practice at the BE. If I were to leave the area, I would genuinely miss it as much as the beach and that says a lot <3

Shahar's hot power vinyasa class was a transformative experience, blending chakra pressure points, balance, breath work, meditation, and strength seamlessly. His expertise created a harmonious balance of physical challenge and spiritual connection.

From the start, Shahar's calming presence set the tone. Dynamic poses targeted chakra points, promoting balance and alignment. Breath work was integrated skillfully, enhancing our practice and keeping us present.

Moments of meditation added depth, allowing us to connect with ourselves amidst the flow. Strength-building exercises were woven in, fostering inner resilience.

Overall, Shahar's class is a must-try for those seeking a holistic yoga experience. I left feeling rejuvenated and inspired to continue my journey.

I Will definitely be coming back when I travel to St. Petersburg.

Body Electric embodies all the magic of St Pete in a historic, aesthetically pleasing space. The instructors are kind, welcoming and there are great classes available for beginners and hard core yogis. Fab community vibe, teachers with great playlists and some cool merch too. I just love the BE.

Recently moved to St. Petersburg and have been struggling to find a studio that I can call my home away from home. Just getting back into my practice after life happened and also a knee injury. Body Electric is definitely that place that I can call my home away from home, and look forward to getting back into my practice. Everyone is absolutely welcoming, the classes are challenging, but invigorating, and you can tell it has a really good sense of community. I look forward to continuing my practice and BE the best I can on my mat.

I don’t live in St. Pete but visit often and I am so grateful to have found such an amazing studio! I knew it was my home away from home the minute I walked in the door. The space and the people are warm and welcoming. There is a great variety of classes hot and not. The teachers are friendly and knowledgeable. I can’t speak highly enough about my experience at the BE. Whether you’re new to yoga or advanced, give it a try. You won’t be disappointed!

I’m a hot yoga regular for the last year thanks to a friend introducing me to the studio. The colloquial term we used before inclusive to describe a welcoming environment was eclectic and the BE is very much that. Growing up in inner city Philadelphia, now a 15 year St Pete native, the BE brings back positive city vibes where different ages, abilities and backgrounds collide to form unity under one practice. I read some of the negative reviews before leaving this one. I get it but truly if you come often all the regulars will welcome you and soon you won’t mind if someone overstretched across your mat. And TBH I’ve only experienced super tight classes during high volume Jan or weekends. I attend five days a week. Show up 15 mins early and you’ll be good. Another note on teaching style, I was new to yoga and I didn’t find it hard to catch on quick and go with the flow. I love the different techniques I learn from various teachers & subs too! Recently my husband and I attended a couples workshop with Kristina & loved it. We had a lot of fun, so I recommend checking their workshops out too!

This awesome space has been keeping yoga weird and letting me flow my own way. They’ve taught me that’s more than an asana practice on the journey. Jai!

This yoga studio is my favorite place to BE! I've been a regular at The Body Electric since 2016 and have only ever had positive experiences during my time there.

The hot room is the best in town, but there are plenty of options for yogis for whom the Florida heat is already enough. All of the instructors add their own personal flair to class, and I love the sense of variety that brings to my practice.

If you are looking for a supportive community you can (powerfully or peacefully) flow with day in and day out, without ever getting bored, consider The Body Electric.

I’ve visited countless yoga studios over the past decade, and this is easily my favorite yoga studio I’ve ever experienced. This place is my very favorite thing about St. Pete. It’s my second home. The vibes are absolutely *perfect* — the “trust your body” ethos, the quality instruction, the welcoming of all people and bodies, the way the front desk and teachers remember your name and greet you.

I love that it isn’t “Burn off your brunch” yoga culture. It’s extremely body-positive and warm, and the instructors invite an inward focus, which means I always leave feeling closer to myself. I’ve loved nearly every instructor I’ve taken class with (over a dozen at this point) and each one brings something unique, whether it be a particularly precise way of cuing, a gentle loving spirit, a deep knowledge of anatomy, the ability to help with inversions & advanced poses, or a command of the room that takes you on a journey. Each has a different vibe and they’re all amazing.

Oh, and the flows are so creative here, and will kick your butt!!! I love that I never ever get bored — it’s a totally different sequence every class, and it’s always modifiable to be harder OR easier, and the instructors really encourage and normalize that. I love that you can be super advanced doing handstands mid-class, or a total beginner struggling with downward dog, and be in class together, both doing your thing. The freedom and affirmation of where everyone’s at feels amazing.

Also, the hot room here is a gamechanger. The vibes there are my favorite in the whole place, and truly you will leave soaked in sweat and feeling amazing. That room feels holy. Go there.

If you can’t tell, I really can’t say enough positive things about this place. This place made me into an athletic person, with zero gym culture, pressure, or bro-y-ness. I have built so much strength here, learned so much, deeply advanced my practice, and felt so at home. COME HERE. 💚

Aesthetically pleasing space. Warm, inviting and inclusive. The teachers are more than qualified and feel very approachable 🫶🏻 I think the no show fee is unreasonable, however, especially since it applies to all classes rather than to just classes that are fully booked. My absence in no way impeded someone else from signing up when there are still 17 spots open. That is simple common sense. Moreover, life is unpredictable and things can go awry within the two hour window. A further amendment could be only apply this fee to those who egregiously violate the policy. Perhaps beyond twice? Just my two cents. I realize other studios have a similar policy but it’s why I’ve not subscribed to those places either.

The Body Electric Yoga Company has transformed the way I view yoga and taught me how yoga is more than a practice within a yoga studio or on your mat at home, but something that you can carry into every aspect of your life. I recently found myself in a high-pressure, stressful work situation and my initial reaction- surprisingly- was to pause, come back to my breath, and be in the present moment- a reaction that I know I wouldn’t have had without practicing at the BE and soaking up all of the good energy and teachings that can support you on and off your mat.

This studio and all of the instructors are such a blessing to our community 💕. Take any class- you won’t regret it!

A very good mix of class offerings including hot, power, and flow (and many others that I haven't had a chance to try). Really appreciate that they offer so many early morning classes throughout the week that I can get to before I start the rest of my day. Much more variety and creativity than other studios in the area. Highly recommend.

I went to the yoga session at Hollander Hotel. Jamie guided us through our own individual journeys in flexibility, peace, and mindfulness!

She reminded us that all of our bodies and yoga experience levels are different and gave us ways to modify the poses to our needs.

Her attitude was positive, uplifting, and understanding.

It was a very good yoga session and I can’t wait to go back!!!

Quite a variety of teachers! Some are great and use super creative methods to make each class a new experience. I would say the same about MOST yoga studios TBH.

Some things I don't like is the feeling that having a job here makes you extra cool. If you feel so great about where you teach... that's awesome!! I ask only that you teach...without attempting to be cute. Like lip syncing to the music or constantly making lame jokes to be funny (both of which MAY happen here).

Also. I dont feel the need for politics to be ANY part of a yoga class. I respect EVERYONE'S views, but I don't feel that blantly pushing political views is part of a yoga experience. For whatever reason, this particular studio blends politics into the mix. And very blatantly.

I wish I could say I will return, but that's simply not going to happen. Ever again.

If acceptance is your selling point, BE, you may try accepting that not everyone is obligated to agree with you. Especially when we are paying you handsomely FOR YOGA CLASSES, not for lessons on "morality".

A few of instructors are really good, others are terrible. Parking is tight and they haven't paved the overflow lot in 4 years so you'll be walking through the mud in the summer after a rain. They'll bill you $8 for missing a class even with their unlimited membership plan which is a nickel-and-dime of the customer.

BE is a good studio and great teachers, but they always overbook their classes. I showed up 2 mins after the class started and went to walk in, and she said that the class was full and I couldn’t enter even though I had signed up. Just a disappointing experience when you take out take from your work day and get turned away from a yoga class that I did sign up for.

BE - please stop over booking your classes and appreciate people who have taken time to sign up and show up!!

I spent my first month with BodyElectric. The yoga studio itself is very cozy and clean, in fact it is the most beautiful yoga studio I have ever seen. Different classes, LGBTQ+ friendly, and everyone there is also friendly. They have showers too! Prices are affordable. This is what I liked.

What I didn’t like: I took 4 different teachers and none of them actually taught, instead they lead the class. Teaching a yoga class is standing up in front of a group of people and talking them into and out of postures. Part of teaching is also noticing what your students are doing and helping them improve their postures. With the 4 teachers in BodyElectric no one helped students to correct their posture. They didn't even show how it should be done. It was more like "Simon Says".

I am not new to yoga and I know how to do poses, but still I make some mistakes and in yoga it is very important to do poses correctly. Someone who is new to yoga and doesn't know the names of the poses can get a little confused following the flow.

Another significant disadvantage is the number of people. There are a lot of people in a class, there is no place for some poses and someone constantly touches me or I touch someone.

For me it’s important to do the poses correctly, so I will be looking for a teacher, however the vibe and the studio itself is amazing.

BE Athletic and Yoga are amazing. I'd been searching for an exercise outlet, but was dissapointed with local gyms and studios. Then I stumbled upon The BE, did the introductory program and very quickly realized this was unlike any gym/studio I had tried before. This is more than a gym or studio, it is an uncommonly warm and supportive community that will grow you physically and mindfully - if you are open to it. Excellent instructors, facilities and equipment. Thank you Katelyn and Jenny for creating such an amazing place. Many thanks to the great instructors and members for the great energy here. This is a source of health and positive energy! Give it a try, you will love it!

Went to Body Electric Yoga on a friends recommendation for yoga classes while I was in town for the holidays to visit family. Had a great hot yoga class taught by Kristina, facility was well designed, customer service was excellent. To top it off they were offering a free kettlebell class at their athletic location for the holidays. Decided to get up early on Xmas eve to take advantage of this opportunity. The class was awesome. A good workout with quality instruction and equipment. In addition was one of the best workout classes ever for me as it had components of mindfulness and body awareness (something I often find lacking from workout classes) To top it off the director of operations (Abby) gave me and my mother a tour of the place, gave us free guest pass cards to share her love for the place. Amended my payment option from the day previous as no one offered me their 21 day introductory deal. Would highly recommend this yoga studio and fitness studio to anyone. Hopefully I can even encourage my old man to go and take care of himself a little better.

Be sure you will never have anything come up last minute or that you don't feel well last minute because canceling 90 minutes ahead of time with 30+ open spots in a class will incur a fee. Not to mention this studio packs people in like sardines but wants to claim they are taking covid precautions. Take your business elsewhere
Edit to review based on their response: Putting markers on the floor that are so close that when people properly follow them and are doing positions that require arms or legs extended beyond the mat ensures they touch the next persons mat isn't covid protocols. Your studio chose to move the markers closer. No one in government said you had to do that. My remarks were in no way related to mask mandates.
