I played 9 holes here and found the course to be a good challenge. The greens were in good shape, though the rough could definitely use some work. Big shout out to Ian on the staff who was very helpful and professional. Overall, a solid experience and I will be back again.

Great course, challenging even without and water features in play. Loads if elevation changes, greens are in great shape minus a few spots here and there. Never super busy and we always get done in. The 3-3.5 hour timeframe. Staff are friendly, starter is great and just a fun course to play.

Such a great piece of property, very unique and well worth playing. This course is built on, for Florida, very hilly ground making it a one of a kind course.

The flip side of that is the place has seriously gone downhill in the past decade. Once well maintained, the fairways have become weedy, sparse, and bumpy due to a lack of basic care. The rough around the greens is full of crab grass and will soon become unplayable, again due to a lack of basic maintenance. The greens have grass but the lack of basic care is showing there too. I doubt they've been properly maintained (aeration and regular sandings) in a decade. Even the biggest feature of the course, an exchange of water for massive white sand bunkers, has become sad, weedy, and unkept.

We come from Jacksonville just to enjoy this amazing place, but fear the worst is in store for the course. Hopefully someone will turn it around soon.

If i could leave a 0 star review i would 1000% do so.

Worst course I’ve ever played in Florida.

To start off $55 for this course?? They must be insane, Rio pinar and 20 other courses cost just as much if not less.

Course looks like it’s abandoned, EVERY SINGLE ROUGH IS 2+ feet high. There are sticker plants in every single bunker why are the weeds around bunkers 2 feet high?? Every single green is in absolute terrible condition, even if you land on the fairway you’ll lose ur ball this course is an absolute trash can pictures are false advertisement, no cart girl, 1970’s driving range absolutely terrible.
Ranger came out on HOLE 1 to say we were off pace because we needed to spend 5 minutes to find a ball on THE FAIRWAY

By far the worst course I’ve played before. Course looks like it hasn’t had any touch up or been maintained for years. If you play here being 100 balls expect to lose every single one even when you land on the fairway.

With some care this could be an amazing course. On the positive side the layout and elevation changes makes this a really interesting and fun course to play. On the negative side the fairways and tee boxes are in poor condition. The greens though were in pretty good condition. The course has no water hazards at all, so I'm thinking that's why the fairways don't see any water as its too expensive to use city water to water them. The course though does have a ton of sand hazards, it almost feels like a desert course as you need to be accurate with your shots.

The Deltona Club is a great golf course that our group visits about 6-7 times annually. The layout is exceptionally well-designed, offering a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels. The staff is always very friendly.
One of the standout features of the course is the strategic placement of the sand bunkers. While there isn't any water hazards to speak of, the numerous bunkers scattered throughout the fairways and greens demand precise shot-making and course management. This adds an extra layer of difficulty that keeps even the most seasoned golfers on their toes.
The course conditions are, with a few exceptions, consistently good, with well-maintained fairways, greens, and tee boxes.
The Deltona Club is an excellent choice for the average weekend golfer looking for a challenging yet fair test of their skills. The course's layout, combined with a fair cost, its good conditioning, makes it a must destination for any golfer in the area. Whether you're a scratch player or a high-handicapper, you're sure to have an enjoyable and memorable round at the Deltona Club.

May have been the all around worst golf experience I’ve had in my entire life. For starters, the course is in terrible shape. Fairways are essentially cow pastures and you’d be lucky to roll a putt on any of the greens without it bouncing off the ground. Second, the organization is awful. The course is completely backed up as you have people going off on whichever holes they please. You could easily park, walk out here, and grab a used cart and go out to any hole and no one would notice (although you couldn’t even pay me to play here again)

Gentleman in the pro shop was also extremely rude and unprofessional. Don’t waste your time or money.

Saw recently a video saying this is a hidden gem. It needs to be hidden way way deeper than this. Price is the best thing about this spot. If you want a backyard style course where you can watch the local residents run barefoot and shirtless across your tee shot, this is your course. If you’re looking for golf just leave the vicinity all together. Nothing worth paying for for miles around

Made the mistake of playing Deltona last Saturday morning. Paid almost $50, asked about greens condition in the pro shop and was told β€œnot perfect, but coming back nicely”. Worst β€œgreens” I’ve ever experienced in 30+ years of playing golf. My advice: STAY AWAY from this course, the rates are at least double what they should be charging right now. Greens are 100% UNPLAYABLE. I tried to contact the course GM but he didn’t even bother to respond.

The course has a nice layout, unfortunately the greens are no fun to play. The roughness of the greens doesn’t allow for you to take your putting game seriously. At $50 for 18 holes during this time of the year, the value compared to the other courses in the area is something to really consider.

We came for vacation, play golf here yesterday, very disappointed of the conditions of the greens, it's like we are playing on the sand, and the growth of the grass is uneven, thick tall or just plain sand. I can't recommend this to anyone. It's cheap to play but you got what you pay for.

Can't really beat the price of it here in central Florida. When is it not dry season, the greens are usually awesome and receptive with a good smooth role. But in the dry season I wish they would just water the greens. It might cost some money but having fertilizer and sand with no grass on the greens for over a month is just not okay. Get them waters so we can play on grass again.

I remember when this place used to be something, then these new people came in and changed everything. Several years as a member I have decided the last couple, this place is not worth my money or my time. Make a long story short, this place has turned into a complete cow pasture, the fairways have no grass hard as a rock, the grass on greens have different types of grass and they are super slow, they are like Velcro, the tea boxes are a complete mess, the staff particularly some lady named Donna is very rude never smiles, I learned the owner's son bud is the skinny little man who walks in real fast goes and hides in his office never says hello to the members are there guess never a smile or a kind word, this guy should be working the drive-thru window at the Burger King somewhere in the hood, anyway never going back to this place, they should get a bulldozer and turn it into a landfill.

Deltona Club never gets a day off and gets a lot of play, yet the course is in pretty good shape. Number 6 fairway on the south nine is showing significant wear and loss of turf due to dry conditions and constant use. However, the greens are in very good shape and are pretty quick and true to breaking putts.
In August less people golf because of the heat. This allows the turf and grass in the fairways to repair and regenerate. The golfer will have more ball loft on fairway lies because the balls are resting on the knap of grass.

Super friendly staff and nice clean carts; course looks nothing like their we site photos. Most sand areas are forgotten about with grass and weeds growing in them and majority of the edges are not maintained either. Their are areas along the fairways and around the greens that haven’t been mowed in quite awhile. No reason for your ball to be just off those areas and not be able to find your ball. The positives of the course was the staff, the potential of the layout and the greens were not bad. To the negative was the condition of the fairways.

I have been in Florida all week on a business trip and iching to play golf. This was the 3rd time on a course and the first full round. Teed off as a single and the second to go at 0700 following 2 regulars that didn't care to pair up. The first two holes I thought I'd be pushing them all day but then they zoomed and I didn't see them again. On hole 4, I started taking multiple shots and didn't see any groups behind me even though the tee sheet was full.

The staff was great. I saw online that there were two tee times first thing in the morning but choose not to buy until I got to the course. The cart guy was jovial and sent me to the counter where Peggy(?) got me checked in. Hearing that I hadn't been there before she gave me a yardage book which was invaluable since the yardage on my golf app weren't even to the right holes. The starter got me out even if I thought that I preferred to go with a group. Turned out playing multiple balls was what I really wanted today.

There is one picture of a green. Usually a lot of my rating score is driven by the greens. Here the grass was consistent and the ball ran reasonably smooth. They weren't quick but they also weren't painfully slow.

Hopefully you can tell from the pictures that the layout of this course had the potential to be 1st class. Good terrain. Nice sand areas. In fact given how poor the grass was it was surprising how fluffy and debris free the sand areas were.

The pictures of the fairways was typical of all the fairways. Pretty poor.

Overall it was a nice time. I don't think they would have let me walk at that time of day but the green to tee distance wasn't bad and I could have managed it ok.

The golf course has always been a great value for the several years I've been playing here. It has wide, forgiving fairways and the greens are in very good shape. Recently though the grill in the clubhouse has become a problem. My buddy and I always finish our round at about 1230-1 and then stay for lunch. The last few times we've played, the grill is practically closed with just one or two items from the menu available and the guy at the pro shop register handling things at the grill. The employee that usually handles the grill has already left for the day. The food is pretty good too, but it's too bad we might have to go off site for lunch in the future

For the time of year I'm giving this course a five-star rating. Fairways dry just like all the other courses this time of the year but the greens were excellent. Greens are a little slower than most other courses but no dried out spots and they ran true. Very good day of golf.

Busy this time of year, so the pace is slow. Having said that, the condition is good, greens are excellent. Tee boxes could use some attention. Will play again.

Honestly this course has to be the best publicly accessible layout in the Orlando area. Fairways and tee boxes are lush...greens slow but plenty of grass on them as well. Great elevation changes and some nice views. This course way under charges for the conditions, layout, challenge, fun, and playability.

Good course with rolling hills.
Different than your normal flat development courses in florida.
And a very friendly lady greeting you in the pro shop

Friendliest staff in the area and they take pride in the course. We were in town visiting friends, spent some time at their range. Nice folks, wish they worked at our club back home

Played this club recently and left behind a very expensive watch. They put it behind the counter off to the side so no one would steal it. Love this place. I play here alot

Just hit some nuggets at the range. Friendly staff. Decent grass. Balls could definitely be better. I do play this course frequently, usually in great shape, greens are a bit on the slow side.

Beautiful greens, Tuff Fairways! And my friends who play with me here call it the Sahara Desert! Don't get in the traps! No matter what, or you may stay in them day! Price is Right.

Overall in good shape. Fairways are lush as are greens. Greens can be a bit faster and tee boxes good use a bit more care. Good value. Enjoyable course set up. Pleasing to the eye. Have enjoyed this course for years. Try it, you'll like it!
