Ive been an avid runner and have run races at almost every distance, up to 100 miles, but after a disappointing year of falling short of several running goals I finally admitted to myself I needed professional help. I knew of Luc from the local running scene and had seen some of his coaching first hand, including what I like to call "raising a dead man" towards the end of a 100 mile race. When I decided to join the Pain Cave, we went over my goals for the upcoming season and he put together a plan. I threw a lot of wrenches his way, signing up for random races, not always sticking to plan, but the biggest wrench I threw at him was moving 4 hours away just before my goal race. I followed the training plan the best I could and I didn't always understand it but I had faith that he knew what he was doing. With his guidance, I achieved my 100 mile goal and after a short recovery period, we laid out a new set of goals for the remainder of this year. Even though I am 4 hours away, he sends me workouts on a weekly basis and checks in on me, regularly requesting feedback from the workout, but also just to see how I'm doing in general. What I really like is his coaching style; he knows when to push me, like if i start to slack off, but he also recognizes when to give me space and ease up if I need to focus on something other than running. His commitment to his client's goals, his adaptability to any challenges presented to him (like coaching over long distances and shortened training schedules) and his overall attitude makes me proud to call him my coach and my friend.

Luc is a phenomenal trainer! As a novice walking in, I did not know what to expect, however, I found a very caring, professional who knows what he's doing, and pushes you to be your absolute best!! One of the best trainers I've ever met. Luc is a caring and serious professional who treats his clients with respect and understanding of their specific needs and capabilities. He will push you to reach your highest potential, but always taking into consideration your general wellbeing. We drive from Weston to Coral Springs twice a week just to workout at The Pain Cave- that's how much we enjoy this experience, that has become part of our routine.

If you are training for an endurance event, the Pain Cave should be part of your training. I haven't met any other trainers that know how to focus workouts specifically for performance. Luc practices what he preaches, pain & suffering and enjoying doing it. Waking up at 5am, I walk in hating the world, but I always leave with a smile on my face.

Can not say enough about the pain cave!! I have been involved in fitness for about 15 years and never have i encountered a gym quite like this. Not only is the head coach Luc incredibly knowlegbe, he delivers a level of caring that is matched by anywhere i have ever been. My wife and I have trained with Luc Neree for over 2 years. At 70 years of age, I just wanted to be reasonably fit for a man of my age. I was never able to even run. I have completed 2 5k races this past year. Luc not only trains your body, but also your mind. Visiting and working out 5 days a week is an absolute blast. Luc is very professional and educated trainer. He is a young (compared to me) gentleman who really cares for his clients. No matter what level of fitness you are at, Luc Neree can work wonders without letting you get injured. The comaraderi that is developed at class with other clients is amazing. We have made many new friends . It is an absolute joy to have Luc and the Pain Cave in my life.
