First season there. So far its pretty great. Unfortunately if you have a boy they dont really practice male gymnastics, but my son wanted to try it out with my girls and despite being the only boy during his sessions at nearly 13 years old he doesnt feel ashamed and is having a really great time with his sessions. Of course my girla are loving it too. If you have a boy that doesnt mind the girls, I'd say dont worry too much. It will still build up strength and skills. I have male equipment at home for him to kinda try out as he gets stronger in general.

First impressions. Tumbleweeds has name recognition, this is a plus for them. They also have a lovely facility on the inside with great equipment.
CONS: You can't get a hold of anyone on the phone, so you leave a voicemail and wait a few days for someone to call you back. This worked once. The next time I called I've been waiting over a week with no call back. Finally called me two weeks later.
The front desk staff in person was very curt and snippy no warm welcoming atmosphere here.
Yesterday (Monday) make up class was cancelled with no communication, no email, no phone call, no notice on door, nothing. Myself along with two other parents showed up to a locked door.
PROS: The first trainer my daughter had was very sweet and worked very well with the girls from what I could tell.

We have been attending tumbleweed's for over 9 years now. We started in the infants classes and my daughter is now on the Xcel team, which has been a fun experience for my daughter and our family. My youngest daughter is in two of the weekly classes and just loves being there and learning new skills and building friendships. The coaches really seem to care about their athletes and put their safety first, which is very important, in my opinion. I would definitely recommend tumbleweeds.!

Our daughter left a local gym last May. She was emotionally and mentally beat down from the owners and select few from coaching staff. She was evaluated at several gyms in Brevard County and Orlando area. They all gave the same feedback. She had skills, but needed cleaned up. Tumbleweeds was openly honest and told us also that their optional teams were full, never rude and very responsive. We decided to wait for the Xcel program to start and could not be happier. The Xcel coach is very serious about form and conditioning. Our daughter chose Tumbleweeds as she felt it was the best gym that could help her achieve her goals. The amazing part is I agreed 100%. As a local business owner seeing other business owners that are so hands on with their company was amazing. My daughter has regained her confidence, desire, new skills, cleaning up and would live at Tumbleweeds if allowed. Thankyou Deena and Cheri for giving her the opportunity to chase her dream.

I had a similar issue as Chris and can understand his or her frustration as it sounds like the same person. We moved here from Texas in May and daughter was level 7. When I called I asked about team information and when team stuff took place for this gym. The lady on the phone wasn't super helpful and rude. She told me the owners name and that she was a team parent helping out at the desk but would take my information down. I also asked if team stuff wasn't available that daughter didn't want to lose skill sets so we could get on the books for evaluation and maybe for privates and she told me that private lessons are only for those on team and that people couldn't just schedule private lessons. That currently all team stuff was filled and no evaluations were being done per Deena which was the owner. Not sure if they actually ever took my name and number as I never got a call back but the lady that took mine didn't want to give me her name because she said she wasn't suppose to be answering phones as she was just a team parent but kept pressing that I should look for other gyms if moving because they really didn't want to take on more gymnast. Maybe they no longer have parents answering the phones when short staffed over the summer but this happened to us as well or maybe they are unaware they have people not authorized answering phone lines. However, we found a great gym in Orlando but would of been nice to try out local gyms closer to our home.

Responding to your post. I am just telling you what happened and I actually live near your facility but now drive to take daughter to Orlando gym. The only reason I posted a review was because your gym sent out needing reviews to be placed via your team chat groups to 42 people. One of our friends that actually recommended your gym to us told me I should post my review which is still a team parent and goes to your gym. It's sad that your an owner saying that this is fake. Because it defiantly was not and I was letting you know that we actually ran into the same issue. Maybe instead of saying things are fake you should actually look into what happened and reach out to families because if the owner is actually not saying this stuff then you have someone in your gym doing stuff your unaware of.

We had moved areas and was leaving team to move over to another area. Called asking about this gym because daughter had done team for two years at a prior local gym. A person named Courtney answered stating the owner would not take any girls from HCG as they were to far behind in skill sets to train. I was alittle put off by the comment considering my daughter USAG scores from season and was moving up to platinum on xcel. She said she would get back to me after speaking to the owner. She called back 3 hours later and said that she was correct and the owners didn’t have time to even evaluate or deal with girls coming from the gym. I was highly disgusted with this persons attitude and the fact they wouldn’t even evaluate an athlete and skill set just because of the gym they had left from.

Since I can’t respond to owner comment. The person that answered the phone told me she wasn’t on staff but answering phones that was her name and that she would pass the message along and get back with me since you were short staff. Team tryouts were open and she informed me that the owner didn’t want anymore from HCG in her gym. She also informed me that she had daughters on team already and levels and how full they are. So definitely not confused and you should probably check who is answering your phones and bashing other gyms.

We started bringing our daughter when she was 19/20 months. It started off really well, and we loved that not much is off limits for the kids. Cynthia is absolutely awesome with the kids and knows how to engage with them and teach each skill effectively. The owner was always kind to my daughter and I also. The reason for the 4 stars is the other teacher, Barb. She doesn't seem to enjoy working with the younger kids and I really started to feel like she just didn't like my child (who just turned 2). The atmosphere was just not as positive when she lead the class. She would also make comments out loud about the owner "micromanaging", which was unprofessional. This is the reason we stopped going, it just wasn't fun for us anymore. I would still recommend tumbleweeds to other parents, but I would not recommend this one teacher. If Cynthia taught all of the toddler classes we would be there every day.

My daughter is a Level 8 gymnast on the team at tumbleweeds, and has been there since we moved to Florida six years ago when she was a little bitty level two gymnast. Considering the hours of these girls spend in the gym, they have practically helped to raise her. They love our kids like they are their own, and help to shape them into not only wonderful athletes, but work alongside them helping them to develop character, grit, and perseverance through this grueling sport. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone. As a pediatric physical therapist and former gymnast, I got my girls into the sport because I think all kids should know how to move their bodies, and have been impressed to witness all of their programs, from mommy and me up through the serious Women’s USAG program. They love our kids and let them be kids, while still helping them to grow In their sport!

I started my daughter at Tumbleweeds at 8 mos old and she continued onto the Team program. Deena, Cheri, and all the coaches not only taught gymnastics, they also taught life skills to help these kids become successful in society. We are so blessed to have been part of the Tumbleweeds family during our time in Melbourne! The gym was our daughter’s second home and she loved it there. Her coaches were kind, caring, passionate and highly qualified. Owners Deena and Cheri are amazing. Our girls’ well-being and making sure they were having fun was always top priority. They genuinely care about their gymnasts. Cheri gave every gymnast a heartfelt handwritten note before their very first meet and my daughter still has it to this day. They hosted gym sleepovers, super fun holiday celebrations, team building exercises and even gave our daughter a big going away party when we moved back to Nashville. My daughter (3yo) and her friends loved it here. They had younger coaches who were very sweet and patient with the kids. I often recommend this place to my friends for their own children. Personally, my daughter did not like it anymore because she wasn’t interested in beams and I was over fighting that fight. But we would try again when she gets older. I give it 4 stars solely because the gym itself is a little older and has had a/c and electrical things going on. Staff is great!

My daughter has been going to Tumbleweeds for 4 years . She has been doing gymnastics since she was 3 yo . No gym nor is any person perfect.... but I will say my daughter still loves gymnastics and looks forward to going to the gym everyday to train 20 + hours/week. There is a family atmosphere with focus on having fun no matter what level of gymnastics. Deena and Cheri truly love the kids and do everything they can to get good coaches, develop talent, and encourage kids through fears etc. I have found Deena and Cheri really do listen and try and work through problems that arise with open communication. I have appreciated the ability to talk to them. What shows through the most is how they really view gymnastics as a way to help grow truly exceptional young adults and people for our future. It can be a very hard sport requiring determination, grit, mental toughness, physical strength, hard work and daily dedication as well as leadership through positive team building and encouragement. You will see that when you walk in and watch these kids train and you will see it take place at the gymnastics meets when they compete. As I said no place or person is perfect but we are happy we have a solid place for our daughter to train in Brevard County which allows her the ability to go to school and have some normalcy in her life while training at a high level of gymnastics.

My daughter has been attending Tumbleweeds Gymnastics for several years now, and we couldn't be happier with her progress and the overall experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us warmly and made us feel like part of the Tumbleweeds family.

The facility itself is spacious and well-equipped. Safety is a priority here, with ample padding and safety measures in place. There is plenty of equipment to go around. They are able to facilitate all skill levels from infants to level 10 competition gymnasts.

Tumbleweeds offers a variety of classes for different age groups and skill levels, so there's something for everyone. The gym also has a competitive team which travel around competing at several events throughout the gymnastics season. Tumbleweeds hosts fun events and themed classes, which all the girls look forward to.

Overall, I can't recommend Tumbleweeds Gymnastics enough. It's more than just a gymnastics facility; it's a nurturing and empowering community where children can thrive and grow. We're grateful to be a part of it.

We were welcomed to Tumbleweeds with open arms a few years ago. The owners are very supportive of their gymnasts and parents. They will listen to concerns and issues going on with how teammates are treating each other. Recently several issues were resolved making for a happy environment for all of the girls.
Deena is a talented coach with the ability to coach all levels without showing favoritism.
The gym is kept clean, chalk is vacuumed every night and cleaning staff comes during the day.

My daughter has been going to this gym since she was 2 years old and she’s now 11. She’s on their competitive team and has learned so much. The coaches are truly supportive and want to see the girls succeed while supporting them through their struggles. My daughter went here from ages 5 to 17 . From classes to team . The owners are amazing, professional, and definitely know how to coach and run a gym . I’d recommend this place to all ages ! Giving 3 stars because their teacher to child ratio for the children is not enough is sets them up for injuries because they set up obstacle courses but one teach can not spot where they need to be spotted. My daughter lost a lot of confidence on bars and hurt herself twice with no spot. Only 5. Other than that it is good, a little catty office staff, unnecessary at times. Felt like I couldn’t talk to them.

My daughter started when she was a toddler and instantly loved gymnastics. With another baby on the way, life got busy and we quit going. 2 years later we returned after my daughter begged and everyone in the gym remembered her- love the personal feel! The coaches are tough but loving. They focus on the precision and make safety top priority when learning appropriate skills. We love Tumbleweeds!

I can’t say enough good things about Tumbleweeds. We made the switch from an out of state gym and I’m so happy TW is where we landed. My daughter is thriving there and happier than ever. What a great facility! No kid on earth could resist the allure of this gym from the ninja warrior obstacles to the massive trampoline lined foam pit. No matter what your child is into, there's something for them here. The staff is friendly and the owners have decades of experience behind their belts. I couldn’t have been happier here! My daughter was so happy and loved all the coaches and team girls! They were so welcoming to her and unfortunately we moved out of the state and no longer go here but even when she was leaving they were so supportive and anytime we come back for vacation my daughter is begging to go back to practice with her friends and coaches.

After coaching for several years in different gyms in Florida, I would proudly recommend Tumbleweeds to anyone looking to enroll their child in a gymnastics class.
