Richard, Michelle, Bryant, Bettina, Melanie, Michael and Robbie are all great trainers. The place is fairly clean, ppl working out are good... no problems everybody is polite and gets along. Occasionally there is the one self absorbed guy sitting on a machine on his phone and being inconsiderate but rarely.

I absolutely love this gym, it’s clean, has a lot to offer, very spacious, and there are not a bunch of big dudes hogging all the equipment. I joined for the hitt classes which are amazing I definitely recommend Taylor and Robbie classes.
The only downside is since the MMA has joined the gym there is absolutely no consideration from those members when there is a class going on. They have removed tons of helpful equipment from the room and even broke some equipment and we can not use it.
They are walking through the workout and they leave their bags and shoes everywhere, on top of a terrible smell.
I don’t want to do exercise and someone takes their shoes off next to my face.

Started coming to this gym a couple of years ago. Had to take a break for a bit but needed to come back to continue taking Taylor's classes. She is great! Very motivational instructor that keeps you going! I take her classes and never want to miss any of the classes. No matter how tired you are, you want to come to her class as you'll feel great after!

Haggle Haggle Haggle! AND outspokenly at the front desk for all to hear. Feels like you're buying a car. Very unprofessional lacking in communication & active listening skills. So disappointed in the front desk cars salesman attitude. Amateurish people skills. Avoid Alan at all costs. After negotiating with the Owner Jon for $60 unlimited classes, Alan would NOT honor it. It took 1 front desk interaction with Alan to know we 3 did not want to associate with this dishonest group. We (friend )had difficulty getting our full refund. A majority of their negative reviews complain about the difficulty of 'Breaking UP, quitting this gym. They continue to charge your credit cards well after you quit. MONTIOR YOUR CHARGES!!

Friendly personnel and great facility. Much bigger inside than it looks from the outside. Very well equipped with free weights, weight training machines, cardio machines, etc. But my main reason for granting 5 stars is its friendly personnel. All my interactions were very pleasant and they would be helpful to take care of any issue I mentioned to them.
I signed up short term to cross train while I recovered from a mild running injury so i was mostly focused on the cardio machines. I great experience.

Absolutely love this place! Not your typical dull, unfriendly crew with no personality that you’re forced to endure everytime you check in; Latiska and her team are delightful and always welcoming whenever I walk in the door. They have created a community-like atmosphere, and I look forward to not only going to the gym but also to see them.

I’ve lived here almost three years and have a corporate gym membership, but just as Phase 1 reopening started, I discovered Upload while at the barbershop next door. I went in for a workout. I enjoyed the experience so much and the pricing was super affordable, that same day I bought a membership.

The facility is spacious and impeccably clean! There are plenty of sanitizer bottles for members to spray down equipment as well as staff members constantly cleaning. Even beyond the additional coronavirus measures that have been implemented, the whole facility from the floors to the bathrooms is spotless and in orderly fashion. I feel very safe even during the high traffic times.

Upload has ample equipment that is well maintained, a variety of classes throughout the week, and I love the TRX room! They have something for everyone and at all fitness levels.

If I have friends visiting, I send them here. The location is close to everything and they have day passes too. I tell everyone about Upload Fitness!

Very clean....nothing standing out. It is a boutique gym. Not necessarily a gym for men and women who want to weight train or lift heavy. Cardio machines are limited. Looking at traffic pass by as you walk or run on the treadmill can get exhausting. African American woman at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful.

This is the worst managed gym I've seen in my 20 years of going to various health clubs and even managing one.
On Oct 5th I was working out on the adductor machine and no was around me for at least 10 feet so I took my mask off to drink water and the manger Latiska Patterson quickly walks up to me, gets within about 3feet, and rudely tells me that's unacceptable and I need to have my mask on. So I told her I'm not able to drink water with my mask on. To which she replies something about how it's their rules and I don't have a right to be a member there.  I had about enough of her harassment and refuse to go to a gym that won't let me drink water so that day I said fine cancel me but refund me the money you took to cover my last two months of my membership (about $135) since I won't be able to use it. She rudely replied I will not refund you.
Earlier that day I informed her that Broward changed the mask rules for gyms so if they want they can let people workout without masks. To which she replied I haven't heard anything. I said you can contact the mayor and he'll get back to you right away. She rudely said, "I'm not going to do that".
Latiska might pretend she cares about "safety" but she doesn't. On a normal day I'll see about 1/3 of the members working out or walking around without their mask on over their face. From what I was told the city has already warned them 3x about this. And if they care so much about safely why would you walk right up to someone who doesn't have their mask on while drinking water and yell at them? Regardless of someone's views on masks if you're going to let some people workout without them coving their face then harass others when they take there's off to drink water then this is clearly a gym I don't want to be apart of.
Like other reviews have stated this gym will continue to charge you after you cancel and not refund you. This is why you have to dispute the charges with your cc company and block them from charging you again.

Pretty good gym. There's better for cheaper, but the location is very convenient if you live or work downtown. Been asking for more weight plates since end of 2018, they've got space on the sides of equipment for more but I end up fighting for them. Also FYI they have a sneaky annual fee they'll hit you with in month 4. They say it's standard, but I've never seen it at any other gym I've belonged to down here. Didn't mention it upfront when I was negotiating my contract originally, but did when I renewed.

Amazing facility. Front desk staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I met the new employee Elizabeth yesterday. Extremely friendly, welcoming, and always keeping the gym very organized. Upload fitness offers a variety of different classes like yoga, combat class, group fitness, spin, zumba .... I personally take combat classes twice a week with Kenny and Justin and they are absolutely great. Always teaching new techniques and pushing us to achieve our next level. Their group fitness with Jason and Andrew are the best. They are very professional, our classes are always intense with a mix of weights and cardio so if you are looking to get in shape and tone this is the class!!! And to finalize my fitness program I love to take yoga after my regular classes to gain flexibility, stretch my muscles and have a mindset to work with harmony in my Real Estate Business. I joined this gym a few months ago and I love it! Not only the location is close to where I live, it’s clean, has a great layout of weights, nautilus equipment and cardio! Over the years, I’ve been to or had several different kinds of gym memberships in the South Florida area, the greater Toronto area, and gyms in the UK and this was the one gym that made me feel the most uncomfortable. And I’ll tell you why. There is nothing more distressing than when you have fitness goals or when you go to the gym to distress and you’re being bothered during your workout. Not by the members (I love meeting new people) but by the employees. I paid 75 dollars for a monthly pass so I could use the boxing heavy bag in the studio on my conditioning days. I made sure to ask if the heavy bag in the studio would be available to me if there wasn’t a class going on. I already have two other gym memberships but I needed use of a heavy bag. Anyhoo, I was told yes that I could use it during the times when there was’t a class going on. I used the studio/ heavy bag before the 530 p.m class and there were two others using the area as well. It went down hill after the first day. Two different employees on two different days approached me during my workout. The first employee approached me and was concerned about how much time I had left of my workout and had to remind me to put back my equipment after I was done. It threw me off because there was 1.5 hours left before the gym closed and I always put back my equipment after I’m finished with it. I made a complaint the next day and gave my feedback to the manager (a woman that I spoke to on the phone ) on what happened and it was resolved. I went to the gym hours later and went into the studio to do my boxing routine. There was a gentleman working behind the front counter when I signed in. And just as I was about to start boxing, the manager (the woman I spoke to on the phone) approached me the same day during my workout to talk about the space and the incident. How did she know who I was and how did she know I signed in? I honestly just wanted to workout in peace. I already expressed how I felt on the phone. After the discussion, another person came into the studio and worked out just fine without the interference. Like I said, I just wanted to workout and this incident just turned me off. I stayed 30 mins when my workouts are usually 1-1.5 hours , 6 days a week (sometimes twice a day) This is my first negative review about a gym. Keep in mind I’ve worked out at Legacy, Body and Soul boxing gym, Premier, Titan gym, 24 hour fitness and Good life in Canada - and there’s not a single negative review about my experiences there. For me, the gym is about the people who make up the space and I’m not feeling it. I won’t be returning after this month.

This gym is a joke, terrible customer service. It's just impossible to cancel your membership (excuse is that it needs to be processed by "management", which seems to be impossible to catch). When I had to cancel my membership because I didn't have the time to go any longer with my new job, it took them 2 months to cancel. When I asked as a favor if my husband could use my membership for the last 2 months that I paid for nothing, it was refused.They are just interested in your money and treat badly old customers when they leave. Before signing in, just read the reviews and be aware that you gonna have issues with them at the moment of cancelling.

Great Updates since the club has changed hands, Latiska has been there through the changes and it great. Club definitely has a family like feel and has some the best instructors. I used to go to this gym for a months and there was always the same problem. It was one older lady ( who work there) , who was bothering me all the time. At 10:15 , she would go around and in the middle of my workout she would stop me and ask if i wanna buy anything and she always had to remain me that they close at 11pm. And it was like that every night. I know she wants to go home, but I'm smart, if you tell me once, you dont have to repeat every night. She made me feel rushed and uncomfortable. Also, one time I was done already with my workout and it was 10:20pm, she stopped me and ask me if I'm done, and she pointed on her watch. I said:"Yes ", and she said: "Great!" So, I just gave up of going there and I will find another place, where I will be able to workout without rush. This place, never again .

Unfortunately, there is no rating below one. These guys are expensive, around $47 per month and an extra $67 per year. There is no pool or sauna. The gym itself is clean, but some of the equipment are a little old and out dated considering how much they charge. Be careful giving these guys your credit card and be aware that they will charge u even if your account is on hold. Read the other reviews !!!. I wish I had.

Like the gym and the staff and group classes are fun and terrific. Especially use the Core classes which incorporate spin and free weights. You haven't worked out until you've done a group class with Valentina or Carrie. Will kick your butt!!! Not to mention get you fit. Front desk very pleasant. Equipment newish or in great condition. This company was so unorganized! I signed up on March 17, 2012 and found out on March 23, 2012 that I was expecting my first child. Because of early complications I walked in and gave an employee there the medical note from my physician requesting that they keep my account on hold until after the baby. Well, that was far from what happened, I was charges $700+ on a two year contract where someone from their billing source in India or some third world country contacted me very disrespectful about paying off my balance. I work very close by and used to refer my patients to continue care there I wouldn't send a dog there for care!

- 3 drinking fountains, 2 are broken and have warm water, the other leaks water all over the floor and has dirty wet towels soaking up the leaking water. It's been like that for at least 2 months.
- Maintenance is lacking as walls are patched and not painted, baseboards torn off the wall
and missing, light fixture cover hanging above front desk.

Watch out for this gym. They tell you that if you give them 30 days you can get out of your contract, don't believe it! I gave them the 30 and they still charged me another month. In addition to that, watch your contract because they say you go month to month and then all of sudden I got a charge for $51.94 in addition to my monthly fee. Not to mention the gym is filthy, things break and aren't fixed. Equipment handles and bars for the machines are lying all over the place. They are so lazy they can't even replace paper towel and soap dispensers when they are removed or are just broken. And last, forget about their trainers, all under qualified and dangerous!

I finally just decided that all I needed was a treadmill so I ignored all the bad reviews and went. So from a week's perspective:

1. Staff is nice.
2. Price is good
3. Paid upfront for year, so no BS
4. The place is clean.
5. Only one machine out of order.

Hidden Fees! Never a manager on duty! Given excuses over and over from staff as well as attitude! DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!! It was great at very beginning but quickly went down hill. and after 2 years I have STILL been unable to cancel!! They keep taking money from my account!

I absolutely love this club...When I first moved to Florida I was hoping that I would be able to get back into the gym. After three years of physical neglect, my once in shape body was now over 40lbs of fat heavier...I know disgusting. I was hoping that I would be able to get even 3 solid days in weekly. I called and spoke to Ezra and decided to go in to meet with him. This feels like a hard core gym, people there are serious about training. It doesn't feel primal, just serious. People are here to work out, this is not a pick up spot. (Then again I am a bit overweight...lol). This place has really motivated me, I now get in anywhere from 5-6 serious workouts weekly. I even convinced my wife to join although we have a full service gym at the building where we live. She now gets in 5-6 days a week as well. We're both doing the personal training, I'm with Mike, she's with Carol. The head trainer Doug is awesome, I text this guy all the time with "what can I eat" questions. This is a great gym, you should definitely give it a shot.

I recently signed up at pivotal and encountered an issue luckily a well mannerd and courteous manager by the name levar solved at once as far as the gym spacious well laid out and clean i highly recomend

Based on my personal experience. I enjoyed working out at Pivotal Fitness Fort Lauderdale.
Our trainer (Diontae Smith) was always respectful to me and my mother (we both workout there and had the same trainer) The staff was always nice, so were the other trainers.
The place was always clean. There was always a cleaning lady around.
They have all kind of classes and group classes. I just wish they had them more often.

The management is a joke, no customer service. They billed my card on the 17th five days latter they sent my account to collections. Keep in-mind my account is paid in full at this point. very rude over the phone, not willing to correct this issue over the phone, they could have simply looked up the payment amount and the date to find the the transaction for 109 in their system. So I go into the gym to correct this issue in person and they find their mistakes..... I received no apology for their errors. Three days after they corrected their billing mistakes, I am still receiving 2 calls a day from a collection agency. If this matter is not resolved I'm seeking legal actions because they're liable for damages to my credit. I can't believe that pivotal fitness sent someone to collections when their account is current. My two-year contract just ended so I am more than happy to cancel my gym membership :-) so I go into the gym and the Same general manager says my account is canceled and is done, but I know better because of the same billing mistake generated a new account under misspelled name that's still billing my card. I think my account is canceled at this point but you never know with pivotal fitness. The gym was clean and some of the staff was nice, The management is a joke for this reason I can't recommended this gym.

Not enough equipment and the ones that are there need an upgrade, the gym its self needs an upgrade, looks depressing. I signed up to this gym for a month and canceled my membership. Way over priced! This gym sucks, find something better people. Not worth the overpriced monthly charges, plus the annual fee, which is even more over priced.

Gym is more than adequate for most people, and my experiences with the staff have been very positive so far. They have a good selection of both free weights, machines, and an abundance treadmills and other cardio equipment. Only giving it 4 stars since I haven't used all of the gyms amenities.

Canceling my membership based on extremely poor interactions with club staff, including confrontations and inappropriate communications. This applies to myself, as well as other members I have seen mistreated by a very entitled staff. An employee (manager) refused me entry into the club one day when I forgot my keys. I had verified my information before to gain entry, but this time the employee refused to let me do so. After trying to talk sense into him, and explain that I am a paying customer, I told him that the situation was f-ed up and I would like to speak to his General Manager. After being refused again, I walked out and was subsequently confronted by the employee who appeared to want to engage in a physical altercation. Absolutely unacceptable. I have witnessed confrontations between staff and members after an alleged intrusion of privacy and possible theft by an employee of the organization (he was allegedly caught red-handed in a member's locker). The entire experience has been unsatisfactory and I am sorry I wasted as much money as I have on this club which I don't even go to anymore because it's an uncomfortable environment.

Their billing practices include hidden fees, and built-in programs making it difficult to cancel. I would find another gym to join locally, this place is poor excuse of a local business and doesn't deserve your business.

This is a good gym, with friendly staff, which is a big plus. For me, the location is ideal.

Pivotat is light-years ahead of the previous gym in this space, and have never had an issue with them. I wonder if the negative reviews are associated with the other gym, which was a mess.

Equipment is good, but could be a bit better maintained. They seem chronically short of benches for free weights.

Generally just fine.

A lot of people complain about cancelling their membership with Pivotal. I canceled in June of 2013 and had no problems. I actually really enjoyed this gym! Their personal trainers also teach free classes to members there and the classes were GREAT! Good variety and the teachers were just awesome!

They have all the equipment a person needs here. No pool or sauna or tennis/basketball courts though...but they do have all the workout equip a person could ever want! Lots of hot people go to this gym including the teachers/trainers and everyone is friendly.

The price is $30 a month...don't be fooled by them waiving the "$200 signup fee for you" they do that for everyone lol. They also charge a once a year random $50 maintenance fee which is kind of silly...but otherwise I LOVED this gym and highly recommend!!!! Easy signup, easy cancellation and fun friendly environment.

Hidden fees and company forces people to stay stuck in contracts. I was told that there would be no problem cancelling my contract, if I had to move or had medical situation. Horrible customer service & care of current customers. Sounds like a great deal, till you have an issue arise... called several times leaving messages with customer service & even visited gym for help... not call backs to follow up or anything yet I have to deal with my problem with no help from the very place I was directed to from their call line. Do not use this company, they pull a total bait & switch just to pack the place up... After being open a year here, now I've been seeing lots of people have issues with them, due to their cancelation policy which they are not clear or open about!

Besides that equipment is not maintained well after a year of being open or fixed when broken... missing clips for equipment, quick rigs used to supplement equipment rather than replace parts or buy new parts.

Pivotal Gyms is a great gym if you want hidden fees and to be stuck in contracts. I ask them prior to signing up if there was any issues with me moving after getting the membership. The manager told me that there would be no problem cancelling my contract. After being told to call a oversees department, sending a certified letter with evidence of my new location, they still call me asking to pay my dues. Do not use this company.
