My Granddaughter had a birthday party at Upward Gymnastics yesterday. They did a fantastic job organizing and setting up for the party, and they made every guest feel welcomed. All her friends had a great time, and were kept motivated by the
team coaches who assisted with the guests and the Birthday girl.

My son has been attending the Ninja Warrior class at Upwards Gymnastics for over a year now, and he absolutely loves it! He’s built up the cutest little toddler muscles from all the core workouts and obstacle training — it’s amazing to see how much stronger and more confident he’s become.

Coach Ben and Coach Dez are absolute superheroes in my son’s eyes! ✨ They make every class so fun, encouraging, and safe. One day, Coach Ben noticed my son was having an asthma attack during class and immediately brought him over to me — he recognized the signs right away, and I was able to get him his inhaler so he could jump right back in. That kind of care and attention means everything to me as a parent.

The entire staff at Upwards Gymnastics goes above and beyond to create a fun, positive, and safe environment for all the kids. We’re so grateful for this amazing team and all they do! Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

we love upward gymnastics! coach krista is kind, caring, understanding and has so much patience. she is so great with my 4 year old daughter. she really knows how to make class fun, exciting yet challenging for these littles. i love seeing my daughters progress over time with the help of her coach! plus the new gym is amazing and offers so much for these kids!

We recently hosted our daughter’s 8th birthday party at Upward and were very impressed. Two coaches led the children through a variety of engaging activities, with the foam pit being a clear favorite! The staff took care of setup, including balloons and tablecloths, and managed the cleanup afterward, which made the experience seamless for us as parents. Coach Krista gives her all to make sure everyone has a great time and that definitely shows from all of the big smiles on all of the children's faces!

I would not go to this facility. I booked a party online and got an email and a phone call over 24 hours later saying " sorry, that was an oversight with the online booking, we don't have that date available....". I will say the owner did personally call me, but frankly she was a little rude. I already sent invites out and my son is now heartbroken. And they are having a "grand opening" On that Saturday, but the facility is not up and running till Monday.??????? And the owner gave me a speech about on what a grand opening is, as if I'm an idiot. They couldn't even TRY and figure out how to do the party on Sunday ( they open for everything on Monday) one of the employess actually said "....who wants to work on a Sunday.....". Poor customer service. I'd go somewhere else!!!!!!

We had our 7 year olds birthday here with a nerf blaster theme. He and the guests had such a fun time and the staff did an amazing time engaging them in a fun and safe way. Highly recommend!

Upward Gymnastics has been an amazing experience for my child and we are super grateful for the patience and dedication from the staff. She has learned so much from her coaches and she is always super excited to come into the gym. The front staff is super helpful and kind. We would recommend this gym to anyone.

This little gym might not seem like much but there is a genuine sense of caring and attention that these coaches give the kids. I would say that Landon who coaches our son is probably one of the best, most attentive coaches for Upward gymnastics. He is always careful and he is focused on the boys' safety and their progress.

Disappointed to say the least is the best I can describe this gym. If you want an all inclusive gym for you child, this isn’t the place. From a competitive level none of these girls are allowed to talk much let alone laugh(these are 3 hour practices and no I don’t mean when the coach is talking) The competitive coach shouldn’t be handling kids under the age of 12 as there is little to none positive reinforcement. Not at all age appropriate from child developmental standpoint. Had multiple discussions with the owner and coach on this issue, especially when my daughter was coming with some very concerning issues form the coach and how she was trying to “teach “ her . If a child feels uncomfortable whether the adult thinks they are right or not, it should always be addressed! Not swept away! With no change of even willing to listen to our concerns after telling us they understood these concerns. I made the decision to pull my child, as it was the best interest for her. Made her hate gymnastics within 2 months. It wasn’t worth my daughter tears or unnecessary stress. Just like any sport. Let alone children under the age of 10 should be having fun. After discussing this with the owner of removing her, The bitterness and unprofessionalism was a little shocking. She double charged my card twice. The second charge being was higher than the first. The first charge wasn’t suppose to come out that night but she did it anyhow . Which I let that go. But following days later a second charge which was MORE than the first charge was charged to my credit card. To feel blind sided was an understatement. When calling the owner visibly upset, rightfully so. I have yet to hear anything from her on this issue. Was able to get the front desk to remove that second charge and had to remove my card. As more automatic charges were set to me coming out. Long story short i asked all the right questions moving to this gym for my daughter. Just dishonesty, lack of inclusiveness, no positive reinforcements, and bitterness from the owner ended her hard work and love for this sport. Just warning other parents with children on the spectrum or need a child appropriate friendly atmosphere to please consider looking elsewhere. If these aren’t your concerns with your child then this gym will be a good fit.

My kids do not attend Upward regularly or go to classes but we attended a private birthday party that was held there and it was a lot of fun for my son. They were able to put on a nerf gun war party and had lots of activities and opportunities for them to play with their nerf guns like the really want to at home! Obstacles and targets, jumping and rolling. It was awesome! As a parent it was a Pleasent experience as well. Easy to sign your kid into their system and sign for liability etc.

We unfortunately had to move states due to my husbands job. I didn’t realize how every moment taught at Upward was developing my daughter not only physically, but mentally, socially, and emotionally as well. Coach Krista was amazing and patient with the little ones. Allowing patience and space to have melt downs but staying on schedule. We have tried 3 new gymnastics places in our new “hometown” and my daughter’s growth has drastically dropped. Cindy and the whole Crew know what they are doing!!! Trust them. I am bummed to move my daughter away from Upward Gymnastics. Very well rounded class offered with structure and consistency.

My 7 year old started a few months ago and I literally love this gym. The owner and team coaches are so wonderful. The environment is fun and nurturing and a wonderful place to introduce competition to kids with their Champions Team. I am truly impressed with the wonderful gymnastic sanctuary the owner and staff have created for my child to be a part of. She is engaged and learning gymnastics very fast because of this happy place. We love it there and are looking forward to continuing to grow in their new state of the art gym in Palm Harbor.

BEST BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! We just had our daughter's 5th birthday at Upward Gymnastics. It was awesome from beginning to end. They called ahead of time to help prepare for the party! The coaches were helpful before, during, and after the party. The activities were fun and engaging for the kids. Just the right amount of time to party! A great party all around! Highly recommend. My daughter also attends gymnastics classes where she is learning lots for her first time trying the sport.

I'm not sure where I should start, my daughter joined gymnastics at 3 years old at another gym, the gym she joined at first was going great then once her coach left we were left with high turnover and no communication. I let it slide because she was in a preschool class at the time. Then she moved up and I thought it was going to get better however we were still struggling with high turnover. Assessments came around and we were so excited to see what she accomplished, as I watched assessments she was only being assessed on things they had not learned and from a coach that was not her own. Her scores were obviously low and at the bottom it said needs to work on listening. I was baffled I've watched every practice and never once did I see her get talked to or anything and nothing was ever said to me from the coaches. After putting up with 2 years of the coach turnover and her fighting us to even go to gymnastics anymore we decided to try a new gym, thats when we found Upward. We started upward in August and since then my daughter has moved up 2 levels. Her whole personality revolves around gymnastics now. From the movies and shows she watches to the bars we had to get for home. She makes her own routines at home and is constantly wanting to go to class. Her love for gymnastics is back and more then ever. At almost 6 years old she talks about how she wants to go to the Olympics. I truly believe this is due to Cindy and her team. They push her to be her best and cheer her on. She is not just another number there. My daughters love for gymnastics I can tell is growing at every practice. And as I watch other classes as well it seems the same for others all the children there seem
happy. The coaches are motivating and enthusiastic. Finding Upward was a blessing for us and we can not wait to watch her grow into an incredible gymnast with them.

The professionalism and courtesy that Coach Krista exhibited set the perfect tone for the perfect party. I was quite impressed by the level of awareness and care that Coach Krista exhibited and FUN safety was obviously their main focus. Most of all, we had the most amazing time! I very begrudgingly agreed to let my daughter try gymnastics after months of her begging, I selected this gym purely based on the convenience of being right on 19 as I had driven by many times and seen their sign. The first class was free to try so that was really nice and the class went well so we signed up for weekly classes. As it turns out, that was a happy little impulse that worked out really well. The staff has been really terrific, my daughter can be a lot to handle but the staff is always very patient and kind. My daughter has picked up so many new skills in what I feel is a very short period of time. We have been with the gym for almost a year and will hopefully be around for many to come. We love the whole staff but we especially love Coach Krista and Coach Dana.

My daughter loves it here. The coaches work really hard to make this a great experience for gymnasts and their families. My daughter went from a shy 5 year old, to a confident and outgoing 6 year old. Cindy is a great owner/coach and she really works with families to make sure you get the best bang for your buck. The coaches are experienced and work diligently to build resilience, perseverance and confidence in their gymnasts big and small.

The owner is challenging to work with for monthly classes as well as birthday parties. There were individuals who walked on the mats with their sneakers everytime we were there, including the owner herself. I really tried to stick it out since my daughter's class only had 4 students in it, but I just couldn't. Now I know why there were just 4 kids in her class. I feel bad for the coaches, because they truly tried, it was just management.

Cindy goes above and beyond for her customer service in order to run a successful gym and program. She always makes sure to note each child's individual needs and to help them meet their goals in class/practice or on team and in meets. She is well respected in the USAG and AAU community by other coaches and fellow Judges. Highly disappointed with this gym. I had my 3 year old daughter in Movin Monkeys, was told the schedule would be for Tuesdays, brought her on a Tuesday and was then told they had her down for Thursdays, when they don’t have a Movin monkeys class on thursdays. Bathrooms were not clean, and just overall not a good experience.
