This is my first experience working with a personal trainer — now Val has me hooked. He’s knowledgeable, patient, and has proven to me that I can exercise harder and with more weight than I ever thought I could. After only two months, I feel much stronger. My husband started training with Val, and after seeing his progress, I was inspired to start training with him as well. I have struggled with back pain, and it has made it so challenging to exercise and lose weight in the past on my own. When I saw my husband's successes, I decided it was worth it to get the help of a professional. I have only been training with Val for a few months and already I have been able to see the weight start to come off, and most noticeably, the back pain has lessened! I heartily recommend Val as a personal trainer. I’m 60+ and recently had some pretty serious medical issues. I needed a someone to help coach me back into shape (no way I could do it alone). After six or so months of Val’s guidance, support, and encouragement, I’m probably in better shape than I’ve been in twenty years. He’s incredibly invested in his clients and keeps meticulous notes session to session so we can progressively “pump me up.” The results, though hard-won (no short cuts), are real. Val is someone I hold the utmost respect for. He is a great person, friend, and an amazing personal trainer!! I reached out to him about 4 months ago for a consultation and knew right away he was EXACTLY what I needed. In early-mid April, I began my strength training with him, 3x a week. He is intuitive, empathetic, understanding, and pushes you to be your best without coming off as pushy or overbearing. I’ve met several of his other clients who also love and adore him. He is well-rounded in his ability to get you closer to your best self. We first measured me during the initial session and in 8 short weeks, I had lost about 20 lbs and multiple inches off across the board. 10/10 recommend!!!! 🥰🫶🏻

I’ve been training with Val for the past 6 months. Before I started, I was having pain in my right knee, and my left ankle was frequently giving way. Also, being vegan, I was concerned with being able to build muscle and get stronger. However, I’m very pleased with the progress! My knee pain has gone away, and my ankle feels much stronger. I’ve lost inches off my waist and am much happier with the way I look. I have also gained a lot of strength and am now working towards being able to do push-ups! Training with Val has been a very positive experience. It’s a shame that I have to move states soon. However, Val has given me enough knowledge and confidence to continue on my own.

I started working out with Val about 6 months ago. I have been struggling with my knees popping out of place. It made it very difficult going upstairs and walking at a fast pace. His concerns were my knees but also making sure my core was strong. I came into this program pretty negative not expecting much But I have been very surprised and pleased with what a great encourager he has been to help keep my spirits lifted and keep me on track. After only a couple of months I started seeing results and now I can go up a flight of stairs and my knees do just fine :-) I highly recommend this young man. I do not see where anyone would ever be disappointed.

If you could see the transformations around here of Val's clients, you'd think we're on a reality show. He gets insane results on all kinds of different people and body types. For me though, I have to confess that training with him has been largely for my mental health during a very tough time. He has a unique ability to empower people by keenly understanding what they're capable of and challenging them to break perceived limitations, and his focus on strength training is very grounding for mind as well as body. He has a very unusually high level of intuition and compassion for a military trained tough guy. Val has gifts as a trainer that break the mold, and it's no mystery why he's in such high demand around here!

Where do I start with Val he is a great PT the best I have had its a shame he has moved over to the states lol not sure if I will find anyone as good as this guy. He gives great advice for training and food recipes. He's great to be around u can have a laugh with him. Me being a shy guy when meeting new ppl I didn't feel uncomfortable from day one he's a approachable guy he won't make u feel uncomfortable. And he is just great to be around. Most PT just feel like a PT Val Feels like a friend and a PT. I would 100% recommend Val you will not regret it.

Val is such an amazing personal trainer. He spends a lot of time discussing what has worked for you in the past and understanding the best plan for you. He also has a background in physical therapy so he really understands the right way of building muscle or losing weight in a healthy way. He’s also just a lovely guy in general! Val is a spectacular trainer. I am 61 and have had shoulder and elbow issues for years. Val is rehabbing my joints while helping me build muscle. His knowledge of physiology and strength training is incredible. My massage therapist is amazed at how my alignment has improved. I didn’t think it was possible for me to build muscle on the level that it is. Val trains athletes so I guess I’m an easy client-lol. I look forward to my workouts with Val. He is a pleasure to talk with and is so encouraging. My confidence is growing and I have revisited fitness goals I had given up on long ago. I’m having a blast pushing myself out of my comfort zone!

I have enjoyed body building for several years and have made great strides until I was crushed between two cars and mangled under the car that hit me. Twenty years and dozens of rehab sessions later, I wanted to get back into good shape but didn't know what methods were best with all the artificial joints I have and prepping for surgeries to come. Meeting and discussing this with Val about how he could help intrigued me. We both knew the body well and I was convinced he knew what he was on the up and up. Two months into training with Val, I wish I met him earlier. He challenges my will where I 'think' I want to stop...but I don't. He encourages and not pity me, he expects my best and I find the way to do things. When you have the right guide to where you want to go, you will reach it. Val has helped me in my journey and I will continue to accept his expert knowledge...because it works for me.

I believe I was one of Val’s first clients. As a 50 year old woman, there are beautiful things about growing older, it truly is a gift; yet there’s a down side too—when I first met Val, I had gained 15 lbs, on thyroid medication, I was suffering from depression and lack of motivation, I actually didn’t really want a trainer but I needed one. I can not express the sincere gratitude that I have towards Val and how each time we met that he went above and beyond, to help me push through my depression, feel my physical strength again (actually I’ve gained more muscle and strength than I had in my 30’s). Through consistency, excellent coaching, patience, diet and exercise—(and laughter too)—I’m now full of confidence, I stand taller, stronger down to my bones! Val introduced me to different strength training techniques as well as diet tips, which isn’t so much a diet but rather a slight lifestyle change around food that helped balance my hormones, I was able to get off my thyroid medication and I have to brag a bit and say, I look and feel better than some half my age!!! It’s never too late and having worked with other trainers, I’ll say this:—this isn’t just a job to Val, he really truly cares, he gets so excited knowing the end result from day one!! His diverse knowledge of personal training, rehabilitation of injury, military background, compassion, individual precise workouts designed just for you, all make him an indispensable and trusted part of continued healing, growth both physically and mentally. I’ve trained with Val on Multiple Occasions and none of the sessions felt the same and that is exactly how you change and improve. I’ve worked with multiple personal trainers at big box gyms before and while they charge less, for the most part I felt like I was burning money. There is a reason for that, majority of personal trainers get a certificate (which can be obtained in less than a month)! That being said, they have no real world experience when it comes to getting someone real results, while they might know some of it in theory, that’s not enough to get the results you’re looking to attain. Val, who is not only certified, has extensive experience and lives and breathes it. The results speak for themselves. Even though I’ve been working out on consistent basis for more than 2 decades and I consider myself to be in very good shape and fairly knowledgeable, Val was able to push me to my limits during every session (in the best way possible) while walking away from every session feeling wonderful and the hour was well spend. Before considering another trainer because they charge less, consider this…it will cost you more in the long run due to lack of results

I can't thank Val enough for everything that he has done. Val knows what he is talking about, he knows how it is done and has the background to back it up. He wants to know your goals because he wants to make sure he can get you past those goals. I hated working out, I would find every excuse to not work out, but with Val, it isn't miserable. When I lost 10 lbs in my first couple of weeks, he believed I could, and I may have doubted but now he helps me see the improvements that I have made. I have trained with him for a couple of months for a job opportunity, and now that I am getting married, I will continue working out with Val. I am now just finding excuses to work out with Val.

I had the best time training with Val. It was my first experience of a personal trainer and any type of weight lifting. My goals were to be more active, healthy, improved my mental health, be able to do a push up, and reduce my BMI so I qualified for fertility treatment on the NHS. We worked hard at all these goals, and I actually became pregnant naturally just as my BMI became the required amount for treatment which was a direct result of my training with Val. I stopped training with Val once I had my son and then Val moved. But I’d absolutely had started again with him if he was still here. He’s so personal and non judgemental. I think as a women sometimes it can feel a little intimidating having a male personal trainer- but I never got that energy from Val and felt comfortable and enjoyed every session. He was the perfect balance of relaxed but yet still pushed me to work harder than I would ever have done on my own and helped me see what I was really capable of. My mental health massively improved whist training with Val, as well as obviously massively improving my fitness and general physical health. He was very knowledgeable with how best to handle my existing injuries, and also whist we trained through my pregnancy. I’d recommend Val to anyone!
