We are members of watermelon swim school for more than a year now. We missed a session and asked for a make up token. We have been told that we cannot get a makeup token. When we contacted earlier before missing a class they said you have to miss a session in order to get a make up token. When we missed they are saying we cannot issue a token since u missed. The message we are getting contradiction messages from the school. It's totally unacceptable and misleading. Totally irresponsible employees.

Watermelon Swim WC has been SO amazing for our 3 year old daughter. We have tried other swim centers and she was always afraid of the instructors, and/or the instructors were disorganized; we've been coming here for 3 months now and every lesson is clearly taught and engaging for the children! I love how every lane has a dedicated set up of toys/tools so there are plenty of kinesthetic learning opportunities for the kids. I also appreciate how they make sure that everyone celebrates everyone elses accomplishments; if someone graduates a level, the whole class (and group of parents) claps for them, promoting a great community revolving around safe water play. I especially have been very pleased with our daughters instructor Frank; normally she is very afraid of other men besides dad, but our daughter has warmed up to him and every lesson is spent with them laughing together, high-fiving each other, and having what seems to be a great time! I am so glad we took a chance on Watermelon Swim WC and I know my girl will continue to strengthen her swimming skills there! :)

Worse customer service experience ever you could have by call.
We have 2 session / week for our toddler and since started Tuesday one not able to join most of the time because of our busy schedule and call them drop to 1 course/ week.
Paying 8 times / month, since didn’t able to attend most of Tuesday class and keep getting time limited make up class.
They drop my 2 separate call after tell them drop Tuesday class request and not answering again.
At this point I am going to cancel all the class and find alternative one.
Also I don’t recommend this place to anyone around my community.

We’ve been going to Watermelon Swim for over 2 years now. We started when our eldest was about 21 months and now have all 3 of our children enrolled. Our eldest is currently with Donavan now and we couldn’t be happier. Our son can be very hyperactive and out of control, and Mr. Donavan is so patient with him. We love Watermelon Swim! My son, Kameron, is currently in the water babies class with Mr. Frank. We look forward to class all week and to seeing our other baby friends. This class has helped Kam acclimate to the water and get comfortable. I love that they teach safety, even at such a young age. The greeting song with the large mirror, wheels on the bus goodbye song, and the play time on the mat are our favorites, followed by baby yoga. We’ve had such a wonderful experience at this location! Everyone is super friendly and always willing to help. There’s plenty of seating in the waiting area, though we usually end up standing because we’re just so excited to watch.

Before each class, we change our daughter into her swimwear in the locker room, and after class, we head back in to change her out — it’s always a smooth process and the facility is very clean and organized.

At the end of each class, the teacher gives us a quick update when we pick her up from the locker room — which we really appreciate. Our daughter is three and has Mr. Ethan, and he is absolutely amazing. He’s 100% engaged in every lesson, answers all our questions, and our daughter absolutely adores him.

We honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. There was a point when we weren’t sure she was progressing, but we stuck with it — and then out of the blue, something clicked. One day in our pool at home, she suddenly wanted to swim to us. We thought, “Okay, we’ll let her try, but we’ll probably have to catch her.” And to our surprise, she just started kicking and swimming right across the pool! It was the most incredible moment.

We’re so thankful for everything this program — and Mr. Ethan — has done for her!

My son has been in Watermelon swim for about a year now almost two. My son is 3 years old and he is in level 3. My son has suffered from his adenoids and tonsils causing him to always get sick! Every single month we were in the hospital due to him not being able to breathe etc. When I called the swim school to ask them what can I do for my son they quickly tried to help me as best as they could and I couldn’t thank them enough! My son is now super healthy and he finally moved up to level 3! This weekend we went to my parents house and they have a pool. My son fell in the pool and he instantly put his swimming skills to the task! I was so proud of him! As a mother I wanted to jump in but my son is going to swimming lessons and I needed in to know what to do and he immediately turned on his back and floated, flipped and swam to safety! After that he started to throw himself into the pool and grab the wall and aim back to safety! I was so proud and I thank Watermelon swim by have the patients teach my child and every child that walk in through those door!

WATERMELON SWIM is a total waste of money. In 7 mos I paid almost $1700 for my 2 grandson to have a 30 min session once a week. In all of that time they never "graduated" past the water safety phase. Each week they repeated exactly the same exercises. After we notified them we were withdrawing the boys the manager reached out and said he would move them to a more experienced "older" instructor. I simply refused to waste another penny. Instead they are taking lessons with Sunsational Swim who have advanced them to actually kicking, using their arms, and floating without support. Thr confidence level has soared and they are traversingball over thr pool. Something Watermelon Swim never managed to accomplish. The progress they have made in 5 lessons 30 min lessons is beyond remarkable. I can honestly say I believe Watermelon Swim deliberately stalls their progress for the money. I would never, ever recommend Watermelon Swim.

I have a child with Level 2 autism. I have always been worried about her near water. Watermelon swim has given me peace of mind and confidence to bring her around water, after all we live in Florida. The instructors are professional and work hard to ensure that each child in their class gain the skills necessary for water safety. I’ve seen other swim schools and was not impressed with how they work with children with special needs. Watermelon swim trains the instructors on how to approach each child individually based on their specific learning style. My child for example needs a firm instructor, I told the front desk and we found the perfect instructor and she has thrived. So if you’re looking for a swim school, look no further. We have personally worked most with Vivicca Patrick, but every instructor has been so patient and attentive do our daughter and the others swimmers in her class. They work so hard to get to know your child while they introduce them to new skills.

My girls are two and three years old. My three year old went in very excited but my two year old did not. She had a meltdown and it was hard for a parent to watch. However, the comfort I felt with the patience and care that the staff at watermelon swim had was indescribable. They taught us as much as my two year old how to handle the situation. I would like to give a special thanks to Bella the supervisor and Britney their Sunday teacher for the approach they’ve taken to make her feel comfortable and build her confidence. They reward my three year old with every milestone she has achieved while still being patient and caring with my hesitant two year old. My daughter was scared of swimming, ISR wasn't for her. Once she started at watermelon, watching her enjoy the learning and bonding with teachers is very rewarding. She gave amazing Ms. Jaijana 5/5 stars. She does have favorites and to Ms. Cate, she gave her 10/5 stars.
My son is in Mr. Patrick's class learning at a few levels higher than his sister, he enjoys learning with Mr. Patrick. I commend his patience and consistent cheerful spirit in teaching. He also got 5/5 stars.
In conclusion, watermelon is a great fun place. Totally recommend it.

Removed hair dryer because it was a safety hazard but really the reason is because they kept buying the cheapest possible and it kept breaking. As a result they didn't want to spend money to fix it. Not to mention, they do this in January when it's cold out. They make hair dryers for this purpose instead of making up stories, spend the money and get something safe. Being cheap with how expensive classes are is just simply being cheap.

The lack of seating and parking is only the beginning of the issues we've had here. Absolutely would not recommend. We tried to cancel and everything was set, then we got charged for the next month. I tried to get it refunded and was told that a policy I signed 6 months ago stated we would have to submit by the 1st and then swim through the entire next month. This policy wasn't communicated when I called, emailed or submitted the cancellation through the app. The email I received from the team even says "select your drop date; this will be your last class of the month at least 30 days from today" their app allowed me to select 5 December as my last day which falls within that 30 day window. Not to mention there is never anywhere to park, and seating is miniscule. Most days we end up standing for half the session or miss the entire session stuck behind someone. Very disappointed in the customer service at this location and would highly suggest taking your money elsewhere where there will actually be parking available and a seat to watch your child.

Edited: The parking has become an absolute nightmare, and it’s so incredibly crowded. It is impossible to find a seat and watch your child swim. For a whole level my daughter was in, She never even got to be in that level class because there weren’t available. My daughter has been in swimming classes for seven months and has not learned to swim. I do realize that she is no longer afraid of the water in her face, she can somewhat float and she can “hit the wall” which was a huge step…but after 7 months, two classes a week, you would think she would have learned some steps of swimming?? I was extremely excited about this place, but now find myself somewhat disappointed.

My daughter started a few months ago and was TERRIFIED of getting water on her face. She would cry the whole lesson and besides feeling terrible for the instructors that had to deal with her crying, I felt defeated and thought she was just never going to like swimming or being around water. After 4 classes of pure crying she started to feel a little more comfortable and after 2 more classes she actually started to enjoy it, and now she has leveled up to Level 2 and is turning into a little fish 🥹
I can’t even put into words how grateful I am for the patience and continued support from Ms Skylar D, Mr Nick and Ms Bella. They have given my babygirl the confidence that she never thought she had and have given me the peace of mind that when she is with them she is safe, having fun, learning and making great memories! I also wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to Vivicca and Lizzie at the front desk. I used to get so anxious and heart broken watching my daughter just cry and cry the first few lessons, that I would step away to catch my breath and they would always calm me down and assure me that it’s going to get better and they were right!! They also always say hi to my daughter (by name) with smiles on their faces when she walks in, they always cheer her on and have a sticker ready for her after class. Thank you everyone 💕

Since starting Watermelon Swim Wesley Chapel both of my kids have learned so many skills and retained them! The coaches make learning water safety and swimming so much fun.

On day one the kids were very hesitant to put their faces under water and now they’re excitedly jumping in and attempting every exercise their coach presents to them. They look forward to their lessons every week!

Watermelon (Wesley Chapel) is the best swim training school in and around Tampa. Super awesome trainers, friendly support staffs, clean environment, warm water and on top of all, you can see your kid swim and learn the skills. Mr. May is our son’s trainer and he is a super awesome person. He takes utmost care and teaches the swim skills with utmost patience. After the session, he provides feedback on each kid and their progress. He also provides the skills learnt on that day and the next steps. We are super excited to see our sons progress in swimming levels.
