Ester Ordonez needs to be fired immediately. She offers probably the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. I’ve never witnessed gym staff do everything in their power to make sure their guests have the worst time possible. Asia at the front desk I could tell was wanting to be accommodating but Ester bulldozed through and made it her priority that my friend and I don’t get a good workout. If getting in wasn’t difficult enough once we were working out she threatened to call the police on us because we weren’t wearing shoes… mind you it was during a mat abs workout. I have been to gyms in NYC and all over south Florida and I have never been treated like this at a gym. Also i never feel so inclined to write a review but you must know that Ester needs to be fired.

The gym has a very detailed set of rules, but unfortunately they are not enforced. In the weight room, there is almost never a supervisor present, and this leads to unpleasant situations. In particular, many people film themselves with their phones for long periods of time, inevitably including others in the videos without their consent.
For those who come here to train with peace of mind and privacy, this can be very uncomfortable. It would be desirable for management to actually enforce the rules that are already in place, ensuring a more respectful and safe environment for everyone.

Como miembro de YMCA me sorprende que tengan en esta instalación a personas como MICAELA, una persona con falta de empatía, consideración y respeto, en mi caso tuve una cirugía a finales de agosto, días antes llamé para cancelar la suscripción porque no podía hacer uso de las instalaciones, me dijeron que no se podía , porque tenía que ser en persona la cancelación,, pero que le pasarían a la manager el reporte para que ella lo hiciera, eso nunca ocurrió, nunca me llamaron. Volví a llamar después de mi cirugía varias veces y siempre la misma respuesta, que me devolvían la llamada y nunca lo hicieron, hoy septiembre 23 fui en persona a cancelar y me atendió Micaela con una actitud imponente y ruda diciéndome que no la podía cancelar hasta el primero de noviembre porque el sistema era lo que le permitía, y me cobrarían también octubre, Todavía existen personas con este argumento tan precario, como si no supiéramos que los sistemas los manejamos los seres humanos, y adicional con esa actitud, no debería trabajar en servicio al cliente y menos atendiendo a los miembros de una institución tan prestigiosa. Gym: Way too crowded, not enough equipment, and too small a space. If you want to use something, someone's already using it. Backpacks used to save spaces while chit-chatting. People with three different sets of dumbbells in front of them, hoarding them for a half hour. Tried multiple times of day with the same results. Zero staff present to enforce rules, if any. Upside: New equipment.

Also, I know nothing about other facilities on-property, like the pool, camps, etc. I've heard from others that they are great.

AWEFUL!! SERVICE AT THE WESTON, FL, LOCATION IS BY FAR THE WORST I HAVE EVER COME UPON. I AM EXTREMELY REGRETFUL FOR EVER JOINING!! Jasmin (Yasmin) (front desk coordinator) at the Weston location was impossible to reason with; she was rude and seemed only to prefer listening to her voice. I felt like I was listening to a robot with a horrible accent. I would much rather speak to an AI. I have not utilized this facility in months, and I am being charged for a membership. I called to cancel my membership, only to be told repeatedly that I need to visit the facility in PERSON, and that this policy was said to me when I signed up. I was not informed of this 6 years ago, and the fact that there was no alternative was frustrating. They are quick to take my money and ensure that I continue to pay. CANCELLING will be difficult! If you've moved out of town, like I did, be sure to go in person to cancel before you leave. I have no intention of ever visiting this facility. Word of advice: other gyms are much more customer service-oriented. Keep your distance at any YMCA facility, ESPECIALLY the WESTON, FL location!!

I've been member here for more than 4 years. Might apply to you if you are serious and not beginner.

Good:
Price. It's relatively cheap. Maybe the reason why I never canceled considering bad stuff.

Location. More less rare ones in Weston.
New equipment as of this month.

Bad:
Too Crowded. There is never a time of a day when you don't need to prey for the machine you want to use. And am saying this as a morning person.

New equipment is well New. But most of the new ones are usually the machines that no professional would ever recommend using due to motion they induce. But if you are beginner you probably don't care. Any movement is better than zero.

There is a free weight zone that can be just randomly taken by some private class, and when they do, forget about that place for an hour or so. They even put a tape so you dont even try to get around them. Usually they practice in the morning.

Considering wait times, you need to be very flexible on what are you doing. Leg day might become arms day. Or mix of whatever is free at that time.

Overall:
Any gym is good if you usually don't move.

This gym is not good if you know what you are doing. But unfortunately there are zero options in the neighborhood.

I just cancelled my membership with this location. I originally got the membership so my son could attend Summer Camp. We just relocated from Atlanta and I figured this Y would be just like that one. Friendly, Caring, etc. I was wrong. I signed up and went to enroll my son in summer camp only to find out he's not covered under my membership. I call to change my membership, and I got a woman that seemed to have been on her lunch break (sorry to disturb), she was outside, I could hear the wind and she tells me we don't do that over the phone and hangs up on me. After that call, I called back and got someone different. This was a different woman and she said "We can change it, I'll have someone reach out to you." I never heard back. After these 2 communications I was over it. I walk into the facility to cancel my membership. There's a woman working behind the counter helping another customer, she doesn't even acknowledge that I walked in. After 30 mins she calls for someone to help me. It's a younger man that comes around the corner and he says "How can I help?" I said I need to cancel my membership. He says "well we are going to redo our gym, will that make you stay?" I laughed and said "No that will not make me stay." He never once asked why I was cancelling or tried harder to get me to stay. This YMCA needs some work and if that's how they treat the adults I can't imagine how they treat the kids.

My family member was treated poorly at this YMCA location. On a particular occasion, she asked one of the employees for help regarding one of the gym equipments. The statement the employee made was “I don’t have time right now. I have another client at the moment I’m helping that pays more than you”. What a piss poor discriminatory statement to make to anyone! Unacceptable!
She canceled her membership!! Obviously, common courtesy does not exist at this YMCA location. Don’t come here!!

Sheesh! I must’ve called over 10 times between 04-07 and 04-08 to simply inquire on swimming lessons. I called the aquatics dept and was on hold for over 20 minutes! I called back, pressed a different option and was told to write an email? Lol? What? They’re on break between 12-4pm so I call back, no answer still from the Aquatics dept. I called the next day, 04-08 at 8:00am still no answer from any dept, nothing but holding customer service music. What kinda facility is this? No one readily available to answer the phones? Interestingly enough, these reviews would make me believe they’re lies. You must have to come into this location to get some type of help / inquiry. Terrible customer service

A great YMCA. Is currently revamping it's upstairs workout area in Spring of 2025, but had an already more than adequate gym and fitness area. Also has a GREAT spin studio with energetic class instructors. Has a healthcare discount for first responders.

The YMCA at Weston is such a wonderful place, and the staff truly make it shine. Everyone there is amazing—so welcoming, confident, and great with the kids. My family has had so many positive experiences, and my kids absolutely love the activities and fun they have there.

That being said, the building could use some attention, especially the front area, to better match the incredible energy and dedication of the team. A little maintenance or renovation could make the experience even better. Overall, we’re so grateful for the memories we’ve made at this YMCA and look forward to many more!

Overcrowded. Recently moved and the nearest gym is this one. So disappointed, the machines are extremely limited and not much variety. The spinning bikes are not able to be used unless you do a class, which is horrible and sometimes I just want to ride “solo”. There is only one bike upstairs which you are EXTREMELY lucky to find it available with so many people and if you do spinning you know you need a mirror in front and to “disconnect” while you ride, I do not want to watch other people workout. There is no open place to work out and the small room they have designated for it is always packed and smells horrible. They are missing more cardio machines and more experienced staff with better attitude. Extremely disappointed and would not expect this from a city like Weston.

I was a member and unexpectedly was told my membership was canceled by Ester the director with absolutely no explanation. I was unable to reach anyone at Weston YMCA that is above the age of 18 or from management and I received no apologies or feedback from the director who canceled my family membership. The only employees that helped me were managers of the aquatics department and only because I had prepaid for private swimming lessons for my child. They apparently have the power to reinstate membership without any help from the membership director. I doubt I will stay a member here simply because of the unprofessionalism, disorganization and mismanagement. I do not recommend this YMCA in Weston for you or your family.

Camp counselors allow kids to be bullied. My son got upset because he was hit repeatedly by another child who got caught cheating at a game and when he hit back he was blamed and told people cheat sometimes. Counselors do not care when a child is picked on. I Removed him immediately and not even asked why we chose to leave and why we were so upset with the program. But instead charged us for another week and is saying to refund is a process and an issue. Do not let them charge you automatically.

I am very disappointed in my experience today granted I have not been here in a long time but this gym was a great gym in the past. I walked in and promptly walked out as I saw that the elevator was out of service which makes the exercise floor inaccessible unless you can climb the super steep stairs (at least to my knowledge… there was no sign indicating otherwise). In addition, I saw a sign saying that purses, backpacks and gym bags of any sort are not allowed up stairs (I- like many people, have things I need with me / on my person and cannot store them in a locker room away from me) - this is a ridiculous “safety rule” I have never seen before. Very disappointing experience to be frank.

Hello this faculty does not allow me to enter the premises of the gymnasium. I had to attend with my parental figure to get this matter sorted out. Even after the fact the faculty staff were incompetent and did not allow entry of the gymnasium. Went to the Cleveland Clinic Physical Therapy annex. The receptionist was rude, couldn't even bother to look up, just pointed to the Kiosk (behind the door) and said to use that.

The gym is crowded, smells bad, and there are damaged machines that do not even have a sign to let you know before you find out yourself. The app to sign in never worked and me and my wife spent 3 weeks trying to set it up, and downloaded it several times but nothing helped, not even the front desk. The kids park is closed for no obvious reason and the excuse they give you when you ask is "there is another park there" despite the fact that you are paying 100$ a month to use the one in the gym. And to make everything worse, the charged me another month even though I canceled my membership a full month before, and now I have to wait another half a month to see if they give me my money back. There cheaper options that work better and have better equipment.

I moved and called to cancel our family membership. The woman on the phone was really rude and tried claiming we have to cancel in person. I explained we already moved and there must be some other way of canceling. She then acted like l had to provide her with proof that we’ve actually moved. It’s pretty welcoming and offers several activities.
Love the easy access to the pool for the kids and the instructors are patient and warm to the kids. Love the family changing room, it’s always kept clean and organized
However, I do wish that the room where they trained people We’re larger, there’s a limited space to stretch or have access to a mirror since the mirror is the only place where trainers go to to train their clients leaving no room for anyone else.
I do love access to the day care, however there is a rule about not accepting kids 30 min prior to closing, which is fine, but the rule should be posted outside next to the schedule where it is of open view to everyone to read it.
Also some of the treadmill machines are out or order and have been for awhile, they should either be worked on or replaced

I canceled my membership today due to their new policy. Teens under 16 years old can no longer use the gym without their parents accompanying them.
This change is a reaction to last years Tik Tok challenges and instead of dealing with those specific teenagers they thought they should punish ALL them. If you are like me, and allow your teen to work out independently this is not option for my family so I canceled our membership. It would have have been nice that the YMCA addressed this issue to all members instead of being elusive about their problem. Rather then apologizing for the issue, they rather see members cancel their membership and loose monthly dues. I no longer will be a member even if they do call and apologize. I will find another gym to allow my teenager to be able to workout independently.

I literally was a member for 2 months while spending some time in Weston and I canceled with 15 days notice like they requested in the beginning of May and stopped going as soon as I canceled and they charged me for the ENTIRE MONTH not refunding me for the other half of the month even though I called many times and e-mail. More expensive than LA fitness with half the equipment and 2-3 times as many people. There are 2 hours of the day when one can effectivly work out without having to deal with some teen on their phone occupying a machine. Honestly the teen part isnt as bad as having to deal with the outrageously early closing times on weekends. As if that wasent enough guest pass policy is outrageous. Genuinly no advantage to having this gym unless ur child wants a place to hang out with his buddies.

I joined the YMCA specifically for their Learn to Swim program. I am an adult woman of a certain age 😊and I finally decided I needed to conquer this skill. I enrolled in the swim program October 2022 and by April 2023 I was doing laps, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly...not ready for the Olympics🎖 but I now have a life skill.

The class had other women and men of a certain age, all with the same goal in mind. Our swim instructor Sam was amazing. He was patient and supportive as well as challenging. He made our Saturday morning swim time worthwhile. We all supported each other and encouraged our attempts to become better swimmers🏊‍♀️.

I now have a group of people that I will forever be friends with. Sam's last month as an instructor is May 2023. He has an internship out of state. I wish him all the best. He will be truly missed.

All of the lifeguards and swim instructors are professional and friendly. They all encouraged our group and gave helpful tips along the way.

I will still continue to be a YMCA member for their group fitness classes and access to the pool.

Lamentablemente me tocó una mala experiencia. Pagué muy entusiasmada clases de natación para mi hija. De 9 años .y pensé que sería mejor pagar personalizadas para empezar. Después que a La Niña le tomaron su evaluación para ver el nivel que estaba. Cada vez que llegábamos a la clase le tocaba un instructor diferente y no tenía idea en que nivel se encontraba La Niña . Y bueno no había un seguimiento de lo que se hacía en cada clase y finalmente La Niña se frustraba y no decía nada por vergüenza. Y podría seguir pero quede realmente triste con mi experiencia en estas clases. Les falta organización y un seguimiento de cada Niño. Espero que a nadie le pase lo que a mi hija le paso !

My experience at The Bonaventure Town Center has been Amazing. My Zumba/ Pilates teacher Karen is the Best. The facility is super clean and the whole staff is great. I would recommend it 💯.

I would give this place -1 if I could, their front desk staff is inefficient and not customer oriented. I enrolled in their membership for Black Friday online, but didn’t use the membership because I moved out of Weston. I called and they said I had to go in person to cancel, although I explained I don’t live there anymore. I went to Weston just to cancel the membership in person, and because I was not there within the first two weeks of the month there is a ridiculous policy that would make you pay again the following month. In addition, after I canceled they charged me a late fee because I wasn’t expecting to pay this membership again and they added a late fee. Beware of their policies because they are not helpful at all in any context or situation, they didn’t acknowledge the fact that I never used the membership and didn’t make any exceptions. I paid the membership 4 months and a late fee because they weren’t helpful at all, not on the phone, not in person, not even when I did the tour at first! Horrible place and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

YMCA de Weston es un excelente lugar para ir al gimnasio . Buenas máquinas , gran espacio , buen lugar para estacionamiento. Faltaría una cafetería .

Registered my 6 year old twice for basketball before the pandemic. Apparently they were applying credits for the cancellation of classes. However I never received a notice about it. So now when I went to register and asked about a possible credit they said they cannot apply anymore credits because were passed that time frame. Spoke to the head of the athletics and he also said the same thing and wouldn’t budge to credit us the 200 for my 8 yr olds basketball lessons. Should’ve done a chargeback with my credit card back then since services were never rendered and they offered the credit which seemed reasonable. This is supposed to be a “Christian charity organization” but there’s nothing Christian about them. Be careful who you give money to.
