We had the BEST experience celebrating our daughter’s birthday party at WGV! Kelli and Betty were on hand as our party coordinators and coaches, they were GEMS! They both were joyful, eager to help and anticipate needs, move the flow of the party along… they passed out food, drinks, and dessert! They also helped us decorate before the party started! Our daughter said, “this was one of the best days of my life!” So job well done Betty and Kelli!!!! We have been taking classes here also for about 9 months too and are very grateful to have this place in our daughter’s life!

My family has attended the gym for many years. All the employees are helpful and very kind. My kids have loved all the events like Parents night out, summer camp, various classes, and the after school program. It’s a fun, loving, and safe environment. Been a member since 2018, attended events since 2015. My children's coaches are fantastic! Boys program (none competitve) under Coach Bill keeps Lucas' challenged. I've had girls attending Gym-N-learn, camps, Preschool, rec classes (ages from 4yo to 16yo beginners), and team (ages from 9yo to 17yo). Too many amazing coaches over the years to mention. This is a wonderful place for my children to grow in character and the sport of gymnastics!!

My daughter Lacey started here when she was just 3 years old, and we’re now wrapping up her 4th amazing year with this program. I can’t say enough about the entire staff—each coach has brought something special to her gymnastics journey.

She began with Coach Alice, then had the privilege of being coached by the incredible Coach Shan in preschool gymnastics, and has since worked with Coach Kia, Coach Ellie, and Coach Ishi as she’s moved up. Each one of them has been patient, positive, and truly invested in helping her grow—not just as a gymnast, but as a confident little human.

I have to give a special shoutout to Coach Shan—she is absolutely amazing with the littles! 💕 As a parent who sat through class after class watching her interact with young gymnasts (including my very wiggly, constantly-moving daughter who doesn’t always focus), I’ve seen firsthand the care, patience, and joy she brings to each session. She meets each child where they are and finds a way to make learning fun. I’ve never seen anything but kindness, encouragement, and a real love for the kids and the sport.

WGV Gymnastics isn’t just about keeping your kid busy for an hour—it’s about teaching real skills in a supportive environment. The coaches don’t just watch your child, they coach them—and it shows in how the kids improve and thrive. The hard work and dedication of this team speaks for itself in their competitions and in the smiles on our kids' faces.

My girls have been coming to WGV Gymnastics for awhile and we love it! One daughter is currently in the preschool class and Coach Shan has always been kind and understanding. My older daughter is on the “main floor” and has had a great experience with the coaches, learning many skills and gaining a love for the sport. They love class so much they have both asked for their birthday parties at WGVG. We look forward to many years to come training here!

Did you take your shoes off in there? Place is clean as can be for over 200 people that I see there on a given day. All the equipment looks new and the girls seem to be having a grand ole time. 👍

The staff is amazing and my kid is always learning new skills. The facility is so clean and looks new. I love the fact they have a chalk eater and has a lot of windows so it doesn’t look like a dungeon! The viewing area is also big.

The moment you walk in you are welcomed by the smell of feet and black floors that look as if they’ve never been cleaned, that should have been the first red flag for me. My daughter went twice for the preschool class and all I can say is, this is NOT the place for young children learning new skills. The coaches never said a word to me or introduced themselves, they rolled their eyes when my daughter was unable to do something, and they sit there and watch doing nothing rather then assisting the children. Coach Shan apparently is the preschool manager but she should not be working with children, incredibly unprofessional. The preschool class assistants are young girls who have no right working with children so young. Very snobby and nasty energy the moment you walk in this place. I brought my concerns to the gym owner and all she continued to say was “that is not like the coaches” rather than addressing the fact that these coaches are ignorant. I do NOT recommend.

I am so impressed with WGV Gymnastics and their professionalism from the very first interaction. I inquired about my daughter joining their competitive team, and I received a prompt response. The head coach called me within 24 hours and invited my daughter to attend a team practice to see if it would be a good fit for our family. The entire coaching staff was welcoming, kind, and made us feel right at home.

During team practice, we were particularly impressed by the emphasis on foundational skills and drills. The coaches focus on ensuring proper technique and form to build strong, skilled gymnasts. It’s clear they are dedicated to the development of each athlete. I highly recommend WGV for its friendly atmosphere, solid coaching, and commitment to families.

WGV Gymnastics is a fantastic place, offering great classes and experiences. However, the viewing area could be improved. Classes often move around the room, making it difficult to view, especially with the volume of kids involved. It's not a big issue if you're standing, but for seated viewers, it can be challenging. Consider expanding to a larger facility with better viewing options, similar to basketball court setups, to enhance the overall experience.

Our now 5 year old has been at WGV for a year, doing a preschool class once a week. The gym is large and clean. There are lots of class options offered. All of the staff are kind and helpful, it's a very family-oriented place. The owner is wonderful and is often seen working at the front desk or helping her staff/gymnasts. We've loved the preschool Open Gym. Also had our daughter's 5th birthday party at the gym earlier this month and we ALL had a blast.

If you are thinking about sending your child here, do it! My 3 year old started their Gym N Learn program and she did the full year and she has grown immensely. They teach everything from the ABCs to Writing their names, counting, etc, plus all things gymnastics and she loved every single minute of it. Coach Stacey and coach Aliza, along with coach Christina are truly amazing with the kids. My daughter became a strong, confident and brave little girl while she was there and I’m so grateful to them for it!

WGV has been great for my daughter. The coaches are awesome, and the owner is amazing. She knows every parent and gymnast who comes in, and makes a point of speaking to everyone. I'm surprised by the review stating that someone came in and was not acknowledged. That is very unusual at this gym. When your child becomes a WGV gymnast, it is much like joining a large family.

I love the staff and the facility - friendly staff and good equipment selection/condition. I can only speak on behalf of the adult gymnastics class, but it's great. You decide what you want to get out of the class. I prefer to do whatever I want, but coaches are more than welcome to provide a well structured practice. It's also reasonably priced. I drive from Jacksonville because it's the best option for adult classes in this area. The only thing that can make practices better is if practices time was made a bit longer.

The coaches at this gym are fantastic but the owner, Heather Newton, is by far one of the worst business owners I have ever come across unfortunately. In a business that is supposed to help enrich people's lives, she will tell you it is her way or no way and will end all communication with you if you ever try to offer other possibilities or solutions. It is sad because this is not the way I thought an owner of a business would ever respond to situations.
