Women's Lift Lab is like a home away from home! Mike and the WLL crew (Michelle, Becca, Emily, Hailey) are knowledgeable, approachable, friendly, and accommodating. The community of members is also incredible, which I think is a sign of a stellar business and atmosphere.
I've been going to WLL as often as possible for the last three months (I wish I had started way sooner) and will be a member for as long as they'll have me!

My only regret is I live too far to be in-person. Joined Women's Lift Lab almost six months ago now, and it's been incredible.
I have all the good excuses to avoid the gym. Kids, career, aging parents, Everest sized piles of responsibility. Doesn't matter. Working out at the lab is the most important investment in myself I could possibly make.

For anyone who needs a good starting point on their fitness journey, Women's Lift Lab is the place for you!
I have been a member of the lab for over a year now, and the atmosphere is not like any other gym that I have been to. Prior to the pandemic, I was a frequent attendee at a local CrossFit gym, which I liked a lot; however, it was never really a "true fit". It felt forced, and honestly, I really didn't see any overall gains. Post-pandemic, I attempted to go back to this gym, but w/ all the changes and the precautions, I just couldn't do it.
After some time passed, and I packed on more pounds, I knew I had to do something. I came across Women's Lift Lab on a google search. What pulled me in was the health education aspect and coaching. This is what was missing from my previous gym experiences. Mike and Michelle (the owners) focus on your overall well being - any underlying health conditions that can impede on current/future progress, your current lifestyle - and how that will impact your health goals, and there is a nutrition consultation - if you want to become just overall healthier/leaner/more defined or cut. Additionally, if you have experienced any previous injuries (which can cause you to be reluctant to work out), they can come up with a plan to help understand your baseline issue, and help rehabilitate you to regain your confidence about working out. During workouts, they closely watch your form and correct as needed. Mike and Michelle truly care about all of their members and want to see you win! Again, if you are on the fence, just give them a call, shoot them an email and tell them your story - they are nonjudgmental and will get you back on track! They did it for me, and can do it for you

I have been going to the lift lab since I moved to Gainesville in July 2022. It has been the best thing I have done for my mental and physical health in a long time. As someone who lives with PCOS and insulin resistance, and has struggled with weight her whole life, it’s been hard to find a way to exercise that doesn’t feel like punishment. And boy, this was exactly what I needed. There’s no negative body talk or diet talk, just people empowering each other to do better than yesterday. There are people here of all shapes, sizes and abilities, and the staff works with you to make sure you’re challenging yourself appropriately but not hurting yourself. I’ve worked mostly with Chelsea, who’s super knowledgeable about strength training and lets me know “the why” about what we’re doing. She modifies exercises if I need them, and pushes me to believe in myself and do more than I did before. Mike, one of the owners of the gym (along with his partner Michelle, who is also lovely) is super nice and very skilled in helping people achieve their potential and increase mobility. This place isn’t just about getting “a good pump” (although you can get one here LOL), it’s about an inclusive, friendly community where you feel empowered to move your body in a fun way. Appreciate y’all so much. ❤️

This place is absolutely amazing and welcoming. I was very luck to find a gym for all women that encourages us to be strong and lift heavy without the fear of judgement. I have been going to the Women's Lift Lab since April 2021 and it's been the best investment I have made on my physical and mental health. Mike and Michelle work very hard each day to maintain a positive atmosphere, where all ages, shapes, and skill levels feel truly welcomed from day one. The workouts are challenging and no two days are alike at the lab. There is constant reinvesting in new equipment and thoughtful touches for members. I have made continuous progress and my confidence on what my body can do has increased greatly. Most importantly, I have found a wonderful community. Mike and Michelle are among the most genuinely caring and supportive people I've ever met and I can't thank them enough for all they do. I have been to many gyms over the years and even with the nicest gyms, there were days where I just did not want to go because of the people. This is the first gym/training facility that I have ever been to that I LOVE going to every single time. I am always excited for the workout, the people, and the progress I know comes with it. The owners are some of the most down to earth people you will ever meet. Not only are they easy to get along with but they are so incredibly knowledgable. I have never felt like I was in such good hands then here at Women's Lift Lab.

Women’s Lift Lab is by far the most incredible and supportive place I have ever had the pleasure of working out at. The very first day I entered the facility I was greeted with the most welcoming and encouraging atmosphere, fostered by both the coaches and the other women there. The program is wonderfully comprehensive, hitting all of the needed muscle groups with tons of variety from week to week so I never get bored. I’m pushed every day to better than the day before, and can’t express how much I appreciate that the focus of our workouts is never on aesthetic or pushing towards some pre-determined beauty standard, but towards optimal health and getting crazy strong. I have never been in such a judgement free zone, or had such individual attention and consideration to my needs and goals in a group setting. I cannot recommend this place more to anyone and everyone in the Gainesville area!!

Finally a gym that is tailored to women and women only! Workouts are held in smaller groups, and individualized attention is payed to each person evenly according to their needs. This facility promotes a very healthy mindset about resistance training, where overall health is prioritized rather than just loosing weight. Best gym I've ever been to! Not only am I noticing major improvements in my strength but also my mobility. Squatting feels easier and my shoulders don't pop every time I move them anymore. I love the focus on long term health and I've learned a lot about how to maintain strength and mobility. The owners are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. This is a hidden gem in Gainesville, FL! I have gone to several different gyms in town and I'm so glad I landed on WLL last year. Switching from a commercial gym (where you are nothing but a number), to private training is one of the best decisions that can be made. Women's Lift Lab is the kind of place where you walk through the door and all the people working there know your name--and the name of all your muscles, tendons, and ligaments. They know that my muscles were pre-maturely atrophied by my emo stage, mostly ignored by my starving artist stage, and then became weird and uneven during my circus stage. And yet, WLL still loves my guts and everything holding them in. Or at least they tell me so and prove it by making me strong and promising that I will, one day, have all the abs and not just the three lopsided ones I have now EVEN though--let's be honest and we all know it--I have never gotten over any of my stages. Especially that emo one--it's never going away. They know it--and still help and support this weirdo out. But all joking aside, as someone with a number of syndromes--including EDS--they are an incredibly knowledgeable team that I haven't found anywhere else. Before finding them, I regularly got injured due to most exercise places not fully understanding those of us whose bodies are just not normal. After six months at WLL I have found that I'm stronger, more knowledgeable, and not as prone to injuries while at work, jamming hard core to the Black Parade, or doing needle splits off a trapeze. Thanks WLL--you're genuinely the best.

I love Women's Lift Lab!! Trainers are amazing... Very knowledgeable and willing to help all types of women. Their workout programs are for all to do. If you don't understand something, the trainers have no problem explaining it to you and/or showing you the proper way to.
This is not your typical gym, this is an amazing gym for women!! If you need help with nutrition, don't have to go far, owner Dr. Mike, helps you with all your nutrition needs. With his program I was able to loose 90lbs and gain so much confidence and 💪 muscle!!

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Mike and Michelle. This is a team you want to have in your corner providing guidance while you get stronger and improve and maintain mobility in your joints. Besides obviously being great at training, Dr. Mike backs it up with science and has answers for your questions on most any health topic. I’ve been a member of their virtual online program for a year and a half and I’ve also visited in person at WLL. If I lived closer, that’s where I’d be! I never thought I’d be deadlifting 200 lbs. at age 62.

WLL is one of the smartest and best choices you can make for your physical and mental health. Dr. Mike & Michelle are a phenomenal team that provide superior value when it comes to women's health. They care about how your joints and muscles move first, which helps prevent injury and will keep me moving well. In 4 months I've started replacing fat with muscle, but more importantly, I'm moving better and feel better. I'm learning habits that will help me continue moving well even as I age. I had some strength when I started, but I also had a ton of muscles overcompensating and not working how they should. The on site program has been exceptional for correcting form and fixing my overcompensation issues. On top of all that, they also are incredible at supporting, encouraging, & motivating all their onsite and online members. They really celebrate everyone's wins and progress, and thus created an amazing community of strong supportive women.

Dr Mike & Michelle have been awesome! I started one month ago (at 45yo) and I could barely bend down without being in incredible pain from an autoimmune disorder. I'm 51 years old with the body of someone much older. When I was 21 I was in a car accident and broke my back in 4 places. Over the last 30 years I have become used to the daily pain. In July I was diagnosed with Hashimotos hypothyroiditis and was directed to Women's Lift Lab. I originally hoped Dr. Mike and Michelle could guide me in the direction of keeping autoimmune flair ups to a minimum. It didn't even cross my mind that I could do something to improve my back and that consistent pain. I've been going to WLL for 3 weeks now. 3 weeks. I can't even begin to describe how it has already changed my life. I still have a very long road ahead of me but I already notice a difference. I have decreased my use of ibuprofen and muscle relaxers. I'm standing taller and am lifting things I previously let my family help me with. Dr. Mike is so patient with me and my limitations. He has enough faith in me for both of us. I've learned so much already and am seriously excited about my future. Michelle is literally the sweetest. I love talking to her in between sets. I cannot stress enough how blessed I am to have found them both. I HIGHLY recommend every woman join WLL in whatever capacity they can.

I’ve been using the virtual lift lab experience for the past two months. Knowing *exactly* what to do at the gym, having help with form, having the encouragement to push a little harder, lift a little heavier, made me all around obsessed with the training! New to the area and found this gym to call home. Not a fan of the bigger commercial gyms. This gym is for people who are serious about working out and getting healthy. I like working out on my own without having to wait for a machine or worry about people looking at me. So far, so good. Small, personal, get in, get out.
