The gym is located walking distance from my house and it is awesome. 24 hour access and always clean. The people at the desk are friendly and extremely helpful. What is more, the owner is very responsive to members needs. We asked for a hack squat machine and a short time later we got not only a hack squat machine but a belt squat machine as well. It is now absolutely perfect for leg days.

This gym is very close to my home, which I love. Plenty of equipment, machines and weights. I love that I can go at any time in the day. I’ve been a member here for 6 years, when I first started coming the water fountain was cold and it worked well. It has been broken for years now, warm water and only one side works. I do not understand why as a gym you will not fix a water machine when it cost only a couple hundred dollars max and there are so many people who have memberships here. Well equipped. The only negative I have is that there are too many people sitting on benches or at equipment and looking at their cell phones for 5-10 min between sets. It should be policy that “cell phones and social media cannot be used while using equipment”. This wastes way too much time when other people can be using the equipment. I don’t bring my phone in the gym. I’m there to get through my workout as quickly as possible.

This gym caters to the weight section and not the cardio section. I’ve tried talking to many people at the gym about how hot the cardio area is, but I’m brushed off or dismissed, either being told there was nothing they could do or it wasn’t as bad as I indicated on the temperature sign. I took a picture tonight (about 8 pm) to show how warm it is. If they could add more fans to the cardio area and cool it off, it would be a lot better.

*it is still incredibly hot in there; switching the temperature to Celsius does not make it cooler. I don’t think it’s been below 75 degrees F EVER and it is so uncomfortable to workout in. I continue to go to this gym because it is a good location from my home, and I will continue to take pictures until they cool it off. **

8/2024:still very hot in the cardio section with no fans and the lights and sunlight added to it. It was better for a little while, but it has gone back to very warm again the past few months. If they can get the temperature fixed, it’s a good gym.

They say they offer a 1 week trail. It's not true they offer a 1 week show up when staff is there so they can watch you and limit you on what you're able to do. The manager was not interested in helping, had to go to his office to find him, and then seemed unhappy that he had to put his phone down. Then, he tried to get me not to get a membership so he could get me out the door so he could go back into his office. I'm guessing to play on his phone. This gym has a great staff and most importantly a nice selection of dumbbells going to 100lb in 5lb increments. There is also a nice array of weight equipment that you would expect to get a decent workout. This gym is one of the friendliest and cleanest gyms ive ever been to. The staff always has a smile on, ready to help at any time. The staff is also always cleaning something, which is very comforting, considering it’s a public area. Can't say enough good things about this gym! Small to mid-size boutique gym with a nice selection of equipment to cover all your workout needs. Kalil Diaz and his team are doing an amazing job. There is a nice blend of male/female staff eager to answer questions or share a few moments chatting and lending encouragement to us members. Marica and the girls at the front desk are all smiles. Nick and the guys keep everything neat and clean. I sat in on one of Ben's small exercise groups, and trust me, it was challenging but a whole lot of fun. This facility is centrally located and the parking lot is well light at night. I have workout at all times, day and night, and have never been disappointed. Keep up the good work!

I got there with very few people there it had been I long time since I had gym exercise so I read instructions on machines and after adjustments to the weight amount did a few of several machine exercises. TL;DR - Equipment needs some maintenance and staff could be more present in keeping things clean and enforcing or supporting better gym etiquette.

Pads are ripped open on some machines, rubber grips missing on some handles/bars, and some of the tricep ropes are completely frayed. The floors don't look like they've been vacuumed well in months. Bathroom schedule says it hasn't been cleaned or checked in a week. One of the faucets is broken in the men's room. Just a lot of little things that make the place overall feel a bit run down and dirty, but I don't think it would take too much to remedy for the owner.

Staff seem to be doing the bare minimum, spending most of their time sitting on their phones closed off in an office often leaving the front desk empty. They could be keeping up with cleaning better or making some rounds to re-rack some weights that many members leave on machines or even on the floor.

Overall, the gym is affordable and has plenty of equipment to accomplish a wide range of exercises. If you get in and just do your thing much of what I mentioned won't bother most people. With a little jumpstart on the above things this place would easily outshine the other facilities in our area.

Visited here today (25 February 22 ) , and was greeted by a young man after a few minutes.
Husband and I explained to him we are only in the area for a month , and would like to enroll in the monthly
Membership advertise on their website for 32.00 ( no commitment)
He said it’s actually 90.00 a month or a day pass is 10.00. I asked why the difference in price and he said the 32.00 is for those using it long term, which is the opposite of the definition of “ no commitment “.
In total he was asking 180.00 for both my husband and I for one month which is exactly what we pay for an entire year at our home club ..
In closing he did tell us to go to planet fitness…
Being in the fitness industry near 25 years now I have never been turned off so much by a club as I was this one ..

I was visiting family for a week and decided to workout here. I talked to the staff who told me they had already cancelled my membership and I wouldn’t be charged again. The gym as much cleaner now and the staff are very friendly and helpful. But some of the guests need to have better manners at the gym. Quite often people are having personal conversations by the equipment either blocking the equipment from being used by others or being a complete distraction to those that are using equipment by them. There is also people lifting weights right in front of the weight rack, instead of taking the weight somewhere else. It’s blocks access for those of us that would either like to put our weights back ir get new weights. It is because of some of this rude guest behavior that I did not give this place five stars. While this gym is closer to my home driving an extra 7 minutes to go to Planet Fitness is a bit more of a value for me. This gym is small and cramped and the prices for what they have aren't really worth it. There is no unlimited guest pass and it costs $98 to join and they don't offer classes and I don't recall them saying that they offer personal training (I could be mistaken on that though). I give it 3 stars because it appeared clean and it's in a decent location. If I didn't have Planet Fitness to fall back on, I might've considered this gym.

The front office over the past few years has had very poor communication with me when I've tried to cancel memberships. There has been two instances now that I have begun a membership and later needed to cancel. Both times I was continually billed following my cancelation, even with appropriate forms turned in. The second time I was reassured by an employee that it would be taken care of, only to find out 3 months later that I had received additional billings. The gym is also small and less cleanly than other gyms I've experienced.

Upon finally getting my last membership canceled, I seemed to deal with some competent staff who were apologetic and concerned. I'd say there is hope if they can continue to keep the good management.

This is only the second bad review I have ever done in my life! Hi. I have been trying to cancel my membership here since April. I have emailed and called so many different managers and they all say it's done but it's not. I have been charged four times since my first call in early April. 4/16, 5/16, 6/16 and now 7/16. They will not refund me. They keep charging me. It's such a shame.

They require checking account as payment and cannot provide a copy of terms and conditions prior to joining to see what you are signing up for. The website doesn't have it either. If you quit you are charged an extra 30 days.

I have been going here for a little over two years. I have enjoyed the many equipment options and large space available. Very clean. The only thing I was noticing is the amount of members has grown soooooo much it's hard to find a time to go that it's not slammed busy other than late night or super early morning. Other than that I love my island gym

So I started going to this location in March, after I was immunized. I really like the gym itself. The interior is always clean, the staff are friendly and the selection of weights and machines are fantastic. Recently the free weight section was rearranged and, honestly, it’s not great. Before, there was enough space for people to use the dumbbells and benches without issue. Now it feels like people are right on top of each other. I’m not going to take any stars off for this but I would like them to know that the new setup is not great.

My wife has been trying to cancel her membership and has had to jump through an excessive amount of hoops. It is so bad, she’s considered cancelling the card associated with the membership or reporting it as fraud. This type of business practice is manipulative and unethical. She’s tried to cancel her membership and been told she’s had to come in person, been told there is no manager available, amongst the countless amount of information you have required her to provide. When she finally sent in everything you asked, she was told that she would be charged for one more month following the cancellation. She would never complain so I am writing the review.

Edit: We received an email the following day stating the 30 Day cancellation notice had been waived and therefore waiving the additional month fee. We appreciate that and have updated our rating. My wife actually loved the gym and would have returned had not been for this.
