Good equipment but playing NewsMaxx of all things on the TVs is completely unprofessional. Most of the clientele is older men with no spatial awareness who use this as their social hour and don’t wipe down the equipment after doing one set on every machine, so if you’re younger I would avoid or make sure you have good headphones to drown out their drivel. Also just as expensive as huge gyms in major cities but on the island you have very limited choices.

Great location. Clean. Very nice Sauna and steam. Custom bathrooms look great. Not a large gym. Up to date equipment and again very clean. Ive only done the tour at this point. Considering signing up. The hours of operation is the only thing holding me back. $89 a month and they are only open from 7-7 during the week.
I’m sorry but I work full time and by closing by 7pm greatly limits my ability to enjoy the facility.
I’m so so on the 7am opening but definitely think the 7pm closing serves the staff more than the paying clients. Being able to come enjoy the steam rooms and sauna after a long day of work is eliminated by closing so early. I’m already a member at the YMCA so I will continue to think on signing up at Xcel. Is there any possibility management would consider closing at say 8pm? Seems like that would work better for paying members who work. Thanks

I’m in town for Xmas. Was dreading trying to sign up to a gym for a week. Thought that weekly membership would be a drag or extortionate or impossible. On my first visit I was working out within 10 minutes of arrival. Super friendly staff, fantastic quality equipment, clean and tidy. 2 squat racks - very impressive setup! Couldn’t be happier!

Great location and equipment pretty much what ever you need from the gym XFS has you covered and the price is an extra incentive to be less lazy about fitness. I've gone at all different times of the day, and it's not busy to the point of inconvenient weight ( ha ) times.

I am visiting Marco for a month and needed a gym to work out. I opted for a month membership and it hasn't disappointed. It's probably the best facility I've used. Clean modern machines that really work! Great, friendly staff. More than fits my needs. Thank you for being their for us working on our fitness levels

It's clean. Has enough equipment for a good workout, assuming the crowd is as small as today, otherwise, would be a little limited. And locker room is small relative to size of workout area. Clientele is mixed: Half seem to be there to socialize. Half seem to be serious. Expensive for a day pass or membership. No towel service, but it does have sauna/steam. Extra charge for hydro massage bed and of course for an actual massage. It's clearly targeting high end customers, not people who just want to work out. Probably a 4 or 5 for the rich socializers who want to say they went to the gym, a 2 or 3 for serious people. I'm the latter, so I will give a 3.

Great place to workout. The gym is very clean and the equipment is new. The membership ship price is very fair for the quality of the gym. What could be better then a nice workout in the morning and going nextdoor to the Rooster for breakfast.

Xcel Fitness is everything you want when you are working out. The space is always kept clean, the staff are always helpful and polite greeting members and clients as they enter and exit. The amenities offered at Excel are a huge plus, you really get what you pay for and then some. I would highly recommend Excel Fitness Spa to anyone in search of a place to workout and exercise where you will always feel comfortable.

Excellent gym! New machines, super clean -including the bathroom, super friendly staffs (they seem very happy to work there!! That’s a plus) smoothie station is the bomb! I’ve been to several gyms (Equinox, La Fitness Signature, David Barton) Xcel fits up there with them! Keep up the great work!!

Small, fairly expensive gym. They offer short-term passes, which is nice. Decent, new, very clean equipment. Although, they always have the Kardashians & Newsmax on, which gives it... well, that kind of vibe. It’s an okay gym, although ultimately not a good value.

So happy I found this amazing health club on my visit to Marco Island! Absolutely insanely CLEAN !! They have all the equipment you will ever need and have infrared saunas and steamrooms in the locker room that rocked the end of my workout! A must visit if your a fit freak like me 😁

I have been a member of various gyms throughout my life (Life Time Fitness, Anytime Fitness, SNAP) and this was hands down the best gym experience I have ever had. My mom and grandmother joined for a week along with myself as we were down in Marco for a sweet getaway. They have equipment for all ages and by day 3 the staff was greeting us by name. The infared sauna and steam are a fantastic addition to this gym. The area is immaculate, clean, and open! The equipment is flawless and readily available. It is tempting to want to move down to Marco, not only for the great weather, sun and beaches - but for Xcel Fitness and Spa!

This is a perfect gym. Excellent equipment (both machines and free weights) properly maintained. The whole place is spotlessly clean, including the well-appointed changing rooms. There is a studio where I practice my tai chi form. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The members behave safely and responsibly.

This is clearly the best gym in Marco Island. They have a full setup of exercise machines, free weights, hydromassage beds and also have personal trainers on hand. The staff is friendly and the facilities are meticulously clean.
