Practicing with Karen is an absolute gift! Her 7:30 AM class is the perfect way to start the day—grounding, energizing, and deeply intentional. She is clearly aligned with her purpose, bringing patience, skill, and a beautiful ego-free presence to every session. Her guidance feels effortless yet profoundly impactful. Truly a universal gift to practice with her. Highly recommend!

What can I say a great place? I felt welcome from the moment started taking classes while I’ve had no yoga experience prior. I needed to loosen up. I’ve been suffering from a lot of muscle tightness the owner Colleen also show me some poses that I can do at home to help me. I would highly recommend a yoga loft.

Dropped in for the Sweaty Betty Vinyasa class Thursday, 1/31/25 while in town on business. Amazing instructor! Great vibe! I’ve been practicing off for years. This was definitely one of the best facilities I’ve experienced. I wish this was my day-to-day studio. Thank you all for welcoming me with open arms.

I have been taking yoga classes at Yoga Loft for five years. The two teachers I've had the privilege of practicing yoga with both challenged me - coming from an ex-collegiate athlete- leaving me more flexible, in shape, and improving my ability to swing a golf club as my shoulders rotate with less pain and no noise. The music may not be my taste, but that's not why I practice Yoga. What is important is the results and mindfulness I achieve.

Yoga Loft is my home studio and has been for many years. I live, work, and play in Ybor, and I am so glad I can practice yoga here as well! The teachers here offer a variety of styles and class types, so whether you’re a beginner as I was when I first found the studio, or someone with many years of practice behind them as I am now, you’ll find a class and instructor that you’ll really connect with. I love that it is a small cozy neighborhood space where everyone knows your name and cares that you are there.

When I returned to Tampa a few years back, I attended several yoga studios to find one that offered the type of classes I like to attend. My first class was a Thursday lunch time class that happened to be taught by the owner. I immediately felt welcomed. The studio was clean and comfortable and most importantly, I enjoyed the class. After one or two more classes, I signed up for the intro offer they had going at the time, (a very reasonable three months for $100!). I spent those three months taking classes with the rest of the instructors and found that whether I wanted a class that was very dynamic and strenuous or calming, Yoga Loft offered it and still does. I also found a community of fellow yogis and now call many of them, and the teachers, friends.
As my knowledge of yoga grew and my practice deepened, I felt ready to begin the 200 hour certification, which I also did at Yoga Loft, and highly recommend to anyone interested.
I have found Yoga Loft to be a clean, comfortable studio with skilled instructors who offer classes that meet students wherever they are on their yoga journey. I would suggest it to anyone looking for a new studio, no matter for what level they are searching.

I had taken a break from yoga and I was not sure how I would feel based on my sports injuries. The teacher had similar injuries and approached my concerns easily. The studio made returning to yoga easy and healthy for my body. The candlelight was a nice touch. I liked this corner of Ybor city. It is slightly off seventh away from the nightlife.

Yoga Loft Studio delivers an outstanding experience for both seasoned practitioners and those aspiring to become yoga instructors, distinguishing itself as a center for wellness and community connection. My personal journey through their array of yoga classes and the Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program has been transformative, endowing me with profound yoga knowledge, a nurturing environment, and significant personal development. A notable aspect of Yoga Loft Studio is the variety of classes available. Whether it's the energetic Vinyasa flows that enhance strength and flexibility or the soothing Yin Yoga sessions that encourage deep relaxation, the studio caters to all preferences. The ambiance of the studio is tranquil and inviting, placing a strong focus on cultivating a space where students can immerse in their practice and discover inner tranquility.

I’ve been going to the Yoga Loft for a couple months and I love the atmosphere the place is always clean and the people are super friendly. I’m new to yoga but the owner and participants are welcoming. It’s an incredible community and so glad started. The price is incredibly reasonable at $70 month that is half the price Bella Prana.

I went about 4 times to this studio, when you get one of the younger girls, it’s a great experience, inclusive and welcoming but then I got the older woman who I guess is the owner and she is very rude, condescending and unhelpful in how she approaches people, she made several rude remarks and just has a superior attitude, which is not what yoga is suppose to be about, which is why I decided to go somewhere else. Sorry to the younger women that work there that do a great job but the older woman needs to stop gatekeeping yoga.

Laurel is one of my favorite yoga instructors in the area. She's all things for all people, really: beginner-friendly yet experienced enough to make it challenging for intermediate-to-advanced practitioners.

One way she does this is by focusing on cueing. Ideally, you should never need to even look at your yoga insturctor; their verbal cues give you all you need to know while you maintain drishti. In practice, most yoga instructors are not structured in their cueing from pose to pose. Laurel isn't flawless about this but is far more consistent than most.

It's also worth noting that Laurel's music selection is not distracting; in fact I don't even remember if she plays any music, which to me is a great sign. I strongly prefer zero music, but that's not the vibe here.

This studio is much more of a beginner studio, which would be my biggest critique. For me, an hour of yoga is a nice warm-up, but I need 75 to 90 minutes to get anywhere beyond "maintenance." Unfortunately Yoga Loft doesn't offer any classes like that, but if they did, I'd come a lot more often.

I've been going here occasionally for a few months now. It's extremely close to my location, but I unfortunately haven't found any other yoga teachers here I vibe with like I do with Laurel.

My journey with the Loft stared in 2014. Several years later, I pursued my teacher's cert (RYT200) through the loft ultimately leading to a teaching position there. I can say as both a practitioner and instructor the dedication to quality is exceptional and now under new management its even better. I learned much through the Loft and highly recommend it no matter where you are within your practice.

I recently relocated from St. Pete and was on a mission to find a studio close to my job. Yoga Loft is a cozy environment ideal for spiritual yoga practices. The fact that there are no mirrors in the studio allows you to focus your attention to the practice rather than your appearance. The burning incense and soft music playing in the background assists in making this a spiritual practice. I also appreciate the lotion, hair ties, and feminine products provided in the bathroom which really comes in handy post-practice.

I recently moved back to Tampa after a long time away and was worried about finding a yoga community I’d like, but Yoga Loft is perfect. The teachers are well-trained, spiritual without being dogmatic or woo-woo, friendly, and available for questions. They encourage a softness in practice in a way that gently reminds me not to grip, clench, or force. There’s definitely more feminine energy here than I’ve experienced in a while. It feels good.

The space is lovely—well cared for and just the right size; not too big, not too small.

The rates are reasonable, and you can try your first 30 days for $30.

I am a competitive powerlifter and I started going here for my mental health and mobility. The Yin sessions on Sunday are my favorite. Long poses help stretch out my knees, ankles, hips, pelvis, lower back, hamstrings, glutes, quads, and calves. I can squat deeper and more comfortably after only a few weeks of attending.

Yoga Loft is awesome! I went to my first class at Yoga Loft tonight. It was a beginner flow class with Rose. I practiced yoga a few years ago for about 6 months to a year, so I have a little exposure to the poses which I did find helpful. Yoga is not typically a painful experience, but one pose that is a bit painful for me is savassana or corpse pose. (For those of your that are completely new, this is when you literally lay flat on your back with legs and arms outstretched at the end of class.) For some reason it hurts my lower back when I lay flat on a hard surface and I usually have to bend my knees for relief. Towards the end of class, Rose had us do a back opener with a bolster. This felt a bit awkward at first as I have never used a bolster (I took yoga in a boardroom at work). When we went into savassana, I could lay flat with no pain! This was so incredible since it has always felt painful to me. The entire time in the pose I could not stop thinking about the fact that it did not hurt.

Beyond that, Rose had a great personality and the studio had a great vibe. Even before I walked in I met a really nice student who is in the teacher training program there. I felt very comfortable for my first time in a public yoga studio. There was chanting and essential oil and I left feeling amazing. I am already planning to go back!

I discovered Yoga Loft soon after I moved to Tampa...and thank goodness I did! This is an amazing studio. For me it's an intimate oasis where I can retreat to, and a community full of love and support. I love all of the teachers. The studio made such an impact on my life that I undertook yoga teacher training here. They have plenty of classes time options and a variety of class levels, I've witnessed many a first timer walk in the door and been guided through their first yoga practice with patience and grace. It's great value for first timers and for returning students.

I've been taking yoga classes in this area for about five years. Yoga Loft is one of the best places on the Tampa side of the bridge. The atmosphere is peaceful, and the space, even though it's small, feels welcoming and cozy. The owner, Ashley, was incredibly nice and accommodating and helped me out with a new member deal. As far as the classes go, if you're not a fan of 'power yoga,' Melissa's class on Wednesday just might be your speed; the class is challenging without being overwhelming.

Very nice smaller studio with many excellent teachers, including Ashley, Melissa and several others. Parking can be a challenge at times (there is no lot), but they offer a great deal on memberships for those who like vinyasa and prefer late-afternoon and evening weekday classes. In the middle of a fun walkable area with lots to do before or after class.
