I’ve been healing through an injury and found myself back in hot yoga. I used to frequent yoga pod and fell off years ago, coming back is a breath of fresh air. Always clean, friendly, absolutely excellent teachers *every time* and a really nice locker room with showers included. Shout out to Craig for the killer playlist and some of the best cueing I’ve had in a class, something that comes from years of experience that I can really appreciate. Thank you!

Craig’s Hot Yoga Class – A Total Vibe
Craig’s 60-minute Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 am hot yoga classes are the kind of classes that keeps you coming back. The room is a steamy 105 degrees with high humidity, but the time flies by thanks to his magnetic energy and groovy, feel-good playlist.
His flow through the postures keeps you moving and present, and before you know it, you’re holding plank and catching yourself smiling. The sequence is thoughtfully paced, the heat is intense in the best way, and the music adds a whole other layer of motivation.
If you’re looking for a class that makes you sweat, vibe, and lose yourself in the rhythm—Craig’s class is it.

I've tried all the yoga studios in Gainesville and yoga pod has the most classes available and is very reliable. Of course, sometimes a teacher is a newer leader, and sometimes they are seasoned veterans highly practiced. Yoga accepts everyone and I'm happy to practice here and value the amount of classes offered each week. Any skill level is welcome here, but do pay attention to the description of classes.

YogaPod is a wonderful studio—clean, well-maintained, and with a great locker room. The instructors are truly phenomenal and bring so much to each class. The fall and spring schedules offer an excellent variety, making it easy to find classes that fit your needs and preferences. However, the summer schedule is a bit limited and doesn’t offer as many options, which can be disappointing. Despite that, the quality of instruction and overall experience make this studio a great choice year-round.

The hot yoga is nice, but I mostly go for yin. Mike's Yin and Sound classes are nothing short of magical. While the yin is great, the sound portion is what makes the class an essential part of the week. With Mike, every sound journey is a unique piece of art. I would be lost without it on the schedule!

I had an amazing time at the APEX/Yoga Pod studio! It's the ideal place to do Pilates and hot yoga. The whole vibe in the studio is always positive, and everyone is really supportive! Whether you're new to it or you have been practicing for years, the staff and instructors have been super friendly and welcoming! The instructors are very knowledgeable and help me improve my Pilates practice so much. Plus, they introduced me to hot yoga, which I now love just as much as I love Pilates! If you are in Gainesville, definitely give it a try and attend some classes.

Unfortunately since the studios have changed the schedule - it has been close to impossible to get to a hot yoga class, especially at the SW location. Difficult to understand how in "wanting" to do better for its members, Yoga Pod just slashed number of classes that were pretty much filled before. Perhaps Yoga Pod prides itself in having waiting lists every day and people having to fight over spots in the class and that despite taking the money from its members every month. Yoga pod does not provide sufficient opportunities for its members to actually get into the class???? To me its unjustifiable, so I will look to where they take better care of their members.

I have done the Apex Pilates classes at Yoga Pod NW for a little over a year & love them so much! The facility is very clean, everyone is so nice & the teachers are fantastic. Recently I incurred a running injury & they were very flexible & graciously let me pause my membership, which I appreciate. I really love going to the classes & can’t wait to come back.

They jam people into the classes. I didn't have enough room to fully extend my arms to the side because they literally pack you wall to wall. The person next to me didn't try to stagger with me, so I had to move up and down my mat to work around her constantly. There was no space for the instructor to do the poses, so you just had to look around the room and try to guess from what everyone else was doing. The teacher blasted EDM, so it was more workout and less yoga/mindfulness. They don't seem to have much variety in the classes they offer. I only saw 3 different types of classes on the schedule (hot yoga, "flow 1", and "flow 2"). Yoga Pod NW is a definite miss.

Love the $30 for 30 days of yoga deal they start out with. So much so that I started volunteering!
Amazing community, super well run operations, and tons of great classes with excellent instructors 👌🏼
Highly recommended!
Edit: I've been practicing here for over a year and a half and have been to several other studios in other places across the US and Yoga Pod stands out above the rest! The air of friendliness and welcome is unmatched and I've never had a bad class. Check it out!

Ugh where do I start. Been coming here on and off since I moved to GNV 6 years ago. Hot Yoga is great! Corporate Hot Yoga is not! I have done several YTT all over the world, India included. This isn't yoga. This is a corporate workout class designed to take your money. They charge 130$ for a month membership. If you sign up before your class (which you have to or you'll never make it in, they book up fast) and you cancel, they charge you 10$. If you no show it's 20$. They say if you cancel before 8 hours they won't charge you the extra fee, NOT TRUE. I woke up this morning to 40$ worth of late charges even though I made sure to cancel well before 8 hours. Capitalizing on the culture of yoga and charging 170$ without even being able to make it to a class this month. This is absolutely absurd. I'm sorry but no about of sweating makes this ok. You have forever lost a member because of all the nickel and dimming y'all do. Is it not enough you get away with 130$ a month? You need to charge MORE for people not even showing up? Oh and the other previous 1 star review- being turned away for being 2 mins late when they say you get 5! Has happened to me several times. This place is a grift.

Just finished a 57 hour 15 day intensive with 29 of those hours being performed at yoga pod NW.
I was really impressed with the ease of scheduling through their app and the amount of classes they have to offer. The facility is very clean and well kept. They have a couple of showers and a bunch of lockers in the bathroom for convenience.
There seems to be a large amount of teachers and even more soon-to-be teachers that are in training.
My stand out teachers were Keri Johnson, Daisy Nation,Natalie (I forgot her last name), Kate Kiskenin and Kelly Watson.
All in all, I would say it is a good place to drop a gallon of sweat.
I will be returning!

My wife went to YogaPod for a class while I was visiting for a medical interview. She is an RYT500 with her own studio. She arrived two minutes past and wasn’t allowed in. They cited a five minutes policy and turned her away. After leaving she registered for a drop-in elsewhere. She a great class at Searchlight. Today she was texted that it must be intimidating to try new things and to come back to YogaPod. They asked her if she wanted a to rent free mat, implying that they charge to rent a yoga mat. This is a mainstream Pilates and barre space that does hot yoga. They clearly do not embody the values of a yoga studio and we will not be back. Very corporate. There are many other studios in Gainesville and we had a beautiful experience elsewhere same day.

I did the podFIT class and I have never sweated so much in my life. I do usually more cardio intensive, but this class works your heart rate at the same time as working in your core, shoulders, butt, legs, biceps, triceps and probably more all in a 45 minute work out. Not to mention the teachers are so supportive and they know everyone’s name which definitely builds a sense of community at the Yoga Pod. All levels of fitness is welcome and the teachers will even provide you with a modified version of the workout if its too hard. The music is great and I love how you don’t have to wear shoes. The first class is free I believe. I just recommend you bring a towel bc its going to be HOT!!! 10 out of 10 recommend!

Visiting from out of state, I went to YogaPOD for two weeks attending many different classes primarily heated. YogaPOD is a unique atmosphere, there was a relatively diverse community of all shapes, sizes, genders, and levels in each class I attended. The instructors gave good cues for breath, movement, and intention.
In the 12 classes, I attended there was only one class I did not enjoy mostly on account of the playlist. Listening to the Barenaked Ladies "If I Had A $1,000,000,00" might have been my all-time least enjoyable experience. Aside from that 10/10 experience!

The sickest place ever!! I started yoga at a young age and Yoga Pod really allowed me to find myself. This place also feels like a sanctuary. From now on I can only apply to jobs with a yoga pod in the city. Young and innovative staff set the bar extremely high for the yoga community. 10/10.

This Yoga studio is amazing! I have been practicing yoga on my own for awhile (especially because of covid), but decided to try Yoga Pod out this week and it has been a great experience! The staff are so radiant and jolly that it is a pleasure being there before you even begin class. The atmosphere is nice, clean and positive. The only thing that personally bothers me is the fact that there isnt much space in the classes. They allow a lot of people to sign up, so when you get to the class, everyone is packed in one room. They have tape on the floor to help understand where to place your mat, but once you begin doing stretches or different moves in your space, you are afraid that the person in front of you will either accidentally smack your face with their foot in Warrior 3 or you will be guilty of doing so. Because of that, i can never fully relax and yoga is supposed to be relaxing. If they had it spaced out a little more, i would 100% enjoy it much more!!

The day I took my first class at Yoga Pod was also the first time I would have been attending an in-person practice since the start of the pandemic. I was incredibly nervous and did not know exactly what to expect as I prepared to walk in the doors of this unfamiliar space.
BUT: what I also didn't know, was how quickly this unfamiliar space would transform into a place of comfort, and a space in which I could exist as the most authentic version of myself, without fear of judgement every single time I entered the uplifting and positive environment that is Yoga Pod.
From the moment I walked in the doors on that very first day, I was welcomed with open arms, and met with an abundance of kindness from co-owner Rachel Jarboe, that instantly made me feel at home.
One of the things that I love the most about Yoga Pod is that no matter who it is that is eagerly waiting to greet you at the front desk, no matter your skill level, what class you are taking that day or which instructor is teaching it -- those feelings of acceptance, love, and bliss are not exclusive to your first time entering the studio. Those feelings are ones that are unwavering and ever-present from the moment you arrive at the studio, until the moment you depart. They are the feelings that have become the reason why find myself practicing at the studio as much as I possibly can in between my busy schedule as a college student. And above all: they are the feelings that constantly make me wonder how I ever went without Yoga Pod in my life.
Yoga Pod is not just a yoga studio. Yoga Pod is a community unlike any other I have ever known. It is a community full of people who will fill your days with infectious levels of joy, and who will constantly inspire you to fully embrace the intentional moments of peace/rest/mental clarity that we attempt to create for ourselves when we step onto the mat.
This community has helped me to grow in so many ways, and I truly don’t think I will ever run out of good things to say about the Yoga Pod community, that I am constantly encouraging everyone around me to become apart of!

Apex is amazing! Everytime I arrive I am greeted with warm and friendly faces by every staff member. The facility itself is spotless. Apex is one of the most difficult and rewarding workouts I have ever done. The instructors are so passionate about Lagree and take the time to explain the machine and to answer any questions you may have. This excercise is super challenging and is for EVERYONE! The instructors are there to educate you on positioning, modifications and will challenge you the entire class. Each instructor is different and awesome but they all motivate you by their personal shout-outs!! I have done over 100 classes and I have seen results and I FEEL results. Failure in these excercises is the goal and I will keep on coming back for more. Oh! And the playlists are Ah-mazing..and will keep you pumped!

Ever since I moved to Gainesville two and a half years ago I've been hoping that an Apex style Pilates studio would open up locally. I'm beyond thrilled that Apex opened right around the corner from my house. As a mid-30s momma I was in desperate need of a regular exercise habit. I love Apex because it targets nearly every muscle in your body but most especially your core and you burn a ton of calories. After a month of classes I'm already feeling so much stronger. The Apex method really helps you challenge yourself everytime you come. The teachers I've had have all been super nice. And the studio is really gorgeous.

The new Yoga Pod NW studio is all I had imagined--worth the delays. It seems well-thought-out--enough like YPSW to feel familiar to people who are used to that studio, but w/some snappy adjustments that make it easier to access, put away, and keep clean any of the stuff used for classes. As is the case in SW, everything is immaculately clean (EXTRA COVID-19 precautions in place). APEX equipment state of art and teachers highly trained. Offering the same yoga classes as SW, and alternating days on some --like yin--now I can find a daytime yin class every weekday. Staff rotates between studios, so you will likely find your favorite people at each place (and I can't say enough good things about the staff, but perhaps most importantly right now, they are dedicated to honoring the principles of diversity and inclusivity.) And so the YP community expands...a lovely invitation and offering to all who care to come!

The luxurious interior spaces and spotless, spacious classrooms are downright spa-tastic, but for me, it comes back to the day-in-day-out care, acceptance, and joy exhibited by everyone there.

The staff here are amazing! Extremely kind and passionate about their work, and my experience. I called to modify my membership one day after my initial sign-up and Emily took great care of me. She got me into the membership I needed, and was happy to help in every way. Their facilities are immaculate and they are taking every precaution to safely operate during covid distancing.
