Bad experience overall. Staff were rude, the vibe was off, and the machines are in rough shape — you can’t even read the weight numbers. An employee kept taking weights from the Smith machine I was using without saying anything.

Tried canceling my membership and got the total runaround — one person told me to call a number, the number said I had to do it in person, and when I went back, the same employee admitted he didn’t even know how to cancel memberships. Super unprofessional. Wouldn’t recommend this gym at all.

Cancellation NIGHTMARE. I am attaching photos of the headache you have to go through to cancel a membership here. The reviews before did not lie about how terrible this place is when you want to leave. The amount of fees being added for a location I've never even once checked into is insane. I requested to cancel two weeks after signing up and they are making it seem as if they are doing me a favor to keep charging me for access until December 2025.

First and foremost, normally I don’t leave a review, but this time I have to. I walked into the gym, and I didn’t think anything of it until one of the people at the front desk started talking to me about the fitness program. I told him I wasn’t interested in “the offer they have here at YouFit,” and then he asked for my weight. I told him my weight, and immediately started going off about how obesity can cause a multitude of health issues and didn’t let me talk at all. He told me I already know how to work out, and he proceeded to ask me if I was sure about not taking him up on his offer. I respectfully told him, “If it worked before, it can definitely work again,” and left to begin my workout. Someone who was standing behind me came up to me saying that even they got offended by the way he was implying everything. I came to work out, not to ask for advice from someone who thinks they know what they’re doing. I believe his name was moe

Your management is below any expectation,defrauding and lying,scamming your customers and conducting un-ethical company.
The managers from this location admitted that I was lied to about my membership and they made me pay for PT being deceived with information ,just because the person was transferred to a different location and he knew will not be responsabile ,my designated trainer many times suggested we go for a coffee for 30min and we work another 30 so she can bill for 2 classes. When i refused she got upset and told me to go take a group class! Mind you i paid 140$ for Pt monthly. As reason to cancel my PT program, I reported the PT from another location in North Port,FL who send over text his personal photos and i was told by your manager: “ this things happen” !!!!

I have sent many emails, requests to cancel my memberships with no luck. They keep trying to charge my card for membership. You will be served with lawsuit and report to BBB.

I came in last week to make a membership since youfit Biscayne was the only local gym In my area with a cheap memebrship pricing, I love the way Samuel greeted his self to me when I walked in, usually when I walk in a gym, it's usually a hey 👋 and that's it but Samuel is very professional in took care of me, went over the details of the membership with me, usually other gyms dont mention an annual fee but Samuel made sure he mention every detail.

This place is the worst. I would never tell anyone to go here. These people I got out of the gym because of health reasons they told me to get a letter from my doctor and my bill would be clear. I went to that place like 7 times to cancel my membership. The administrator is never there. They told me it was cancelled but I ended up in Collections as the card that they were using wasnt active anymore. I hope someone from the staff calls me or sends me an email and gives me my money back. I just got out of there paying $340. I feel horrible after such a bad experience.

I had an amazing experience at this location, and I can't emphasize enough how much I appreciated the assistance from SAMUEL, the membership advisor. He truly went above and beyond in providing me with all the necessary information I needed before I made the important decision to sign up for a membership. I recall visiting about five months ago; the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a welcoming smile from him, which instantly made me feel at ease. I'm genuinely pleased to see that he is still with the company, as his dedication and professionalism clearly shine through.

Additionally, I've noticed some exciting changes since my last visit, particularly the new management. The interior of the facility looks remarkably refreshed and inviting, which speaks volumes about the positive direction the team is taking. I am writing to formally express my deep concern and dissatisfaction regarding the repeated and unresolved issues with the air conditioning system at your 79th Street YouFit facility.

For the past six months, the gym has consistently been without functioning air conditioning for days at a time. This is not an occasional inconvenience — it has become a chronic problem that impacts every paying member who expects a safe, comfortable environment to exercise. Frankly, this is unacceptable for a fitness facility in Miami, Florida, where high heat and humidity are daily realities, not seasonal exceptions.

As you know, proper climate control in a gym is not a luxury — it is a health and safety requirement. Exercising in such extreme indoor heat increases the risk of dehydration, heat exhaustion, and even heat stroke. It also creates an unpleasant and unhygienic environment that discourages members from using the gym they pay for. Your staff has kindly acknowledged the issue multiple times, but the problem persists without any permanent solution or clear communication as to when or how this will be resolved.

I find it highly concerning that this has dragged on for so long with no apparent urgency from management to fix it properly. As a paying member, I expect — and deserve — a safe, functional facility where basic amenities like air conditioning are consistently operational.

I urge you to address this matter immediately and provide members with a clear update on how and when this problem will be permanently resolved. Continued neglect of this issue may leave members with no choice but to seek alternative gyms that prioritize member safety and comfort.

JC, trainer manager, is the heartbeat of this gym. He makes training fun while effective and won’t hesitate to help you out. I also really appreciate the Staff, especially the front desk. Even better, the Zumba classes are awesome! Be prepared to be energized by the instructors. I dare you to keep up! I would give it a 5 but the air conditioner in the dance room hasn’t worked for two weeks.

Es us terrible lugar, la atencion es de lo mas espantoso y cutre que he visto en mi vida, hay mas personas que equipos para entrenar, cuando los equipos se rompen pueden pasar asi un mes o mas sin que los arreglen, la zona verde de entrenamiento libre ha sido privatizada por los entrenadores que la dividieron dejando solo un pequeño espacio para los que no pagan un entrenador personal. En fin si tienes una mejor opcion no vayas a este gym por que vas a perder tu dinero y bajo ninguna circusta cia vayas a pagar una suscripcion anual, porque no se pueden cancelar y tendras que pagar el gym por todo un año.Ppr favor no apollemos a negocios asi que nos prestan un mal servicio y nos roban nuestro dinero.Que pena tener que hacer una reseña como esta, pero no quisiera que a mas personas les pase lo que me paso a mi.

I previously left a negative review, but I have to give credit where it’s due—the changes under the new management have completely transformed this gym. The equipment has been reupholstered, the gym is noticeably cleaner, and the staff actually makes an effort to keep things tidy, even though many members still don’t rerack their weights. One of the biggest improvements is the atmosphere—being greeted when you walk in makes such a difference and really sets a positive tone for the workout.

A huge shoutout to the two new managers—I truly appreciate the hard work you’ve put in. It feels like I’m walking into a brand-new gym. Your efforts haven’t gone unnoticed, and it’s made me excited to come back each time. Keep it up!

Great support for young and old. As a senior citizen with injuries, the classes give modifications to meet the variety of needs. I get support but so do the advanced. Fun and upbeat. Greatful to have a place where I'm encouraged to not give up, push through the mental resistance and build strength. I just have to get there the teachers do the rest. Im experiencing less inflammation and more movement in my knee. I even got some exercises i was doing in physical therapy and next steps.

Tengo varios años viniendo a este gym y una de las cosas por las que me he quedado es que las personas que vienen a entrenar son muy amables y humildes y sus coach son muy apasionados y profesionales como por ejemplo Vivi! Le doy 4 estrellas debido a que en el ámbito de la limpieza a decaído mucho el lugar, y no hay como un manager que supervise este tipo de trabajo, antes los espejos estaban súper limpios todo el tiempo, el piso lo barrían y mapiaban, y las máquinas las limpiaban, ahora no está muy sucio y hasta con cucarachas! Si pudieran mejorar eso sería excelente todo nuevamente.

I went in today to cancel my membership (only because I have moved and this is no longer convenient to me).
The assistant, though not busy, made me wait there for over an hour. When I calmly complained that it was taking so long, he told me I was being aggressive and would call 911. As a black man I firstly felt I was being profiled as I was absolutely not being aggressive. And so I called the police myself, and when they arrived they explained to me that this gym calls them all the time unnecessarily. Fortunately the office could see that I was perfectly calm and was simply complaining that I shouldn't be kept waiting that long (and I still don't know why he kept me waiting btw - the gym was not at all busy). Miraculously once the police officer spoke to him, he immediatley canceled my membership.
This was clearly racist behavior towards me , not to mention terrible customer service and I will not ever support nor recommend YouFit given this is the kind of behavior they condone.

This gym does not have a lot of weights if you're trying to build muscle it won't happen. The cardio machines are limitless. I've gone multiple days at different times but the machines are always in use by the same sets of people. I tried to get out of my contract because this membership is useless to me but I am stuck even though I don't have access to the machines I want to use. I was told I had to pay the rest of the year before I can get out of this contract. This gym membership is a scam.

This is the one on NE 79th St. I’ve been going to that gym for about a year, I like the energy, I like to see everybody working out hard and committed. But what’s really bad is that all the weights are all over the place, especially the dumbbells. They are NEVER put back where they should be, the weights are NEVER re-racked. There should be some serious control about that, or the staff members that close the gym at night should make sure everything is placed where they belong. This morning I walked in at 5:00am and the racks where the dumbbells go where almost empty.

Terrible gym etiquette from about 90% of all the people who go here. No one racks their weights at all people don't clean up after themselves. No matter how polite you ask someone how many sets they have, people look at you like you asked them to borrow money. The staff is fighting an uphill battle but regardless they also dont even try to pick up at all. I’ve gone to this gym at 5 am and the gym is still a mess. Personal trainers also dont care and they dont rack weights either, with exceptions on the female trainers who I have seen actually picking weights while helping their clients. There is a young woman (trainer) with red hair who is always very nice as well as a young man with dreads in the front desk who actually greets you, these two are the only ones who seem to care. Lately I have seen more people recording “content at the gym” so take that for what you will. Only reason I still go here is for the location and convenience. Two things which would greatly improve this gym is racking weights and holding people accountable, gym membership along with staff members. However don't hold your breath.

Hola,hace dos meses colocaron una cortina de baño de muy mala calidad donde pasan demasiadas persona,por ende solo sirvió por tres días,luego estuvo todo el tiempo destruida en el cortinero, ya desde hace una semana no tiene cortina uno de los baños,recordando que solo existen dos baños a utilizar,ahora hay que hacer fila para entrar es algo que no se cree cuando tiene al frente del gym un dollar tree Que con solo 2 dólares por si no quieren gastar pueden comprar una y dar mejor servicios.Espero que de pueda colocar la cortina en el transcurso de la semana.Gracias

Weights are anywhere but on the racks. Some of the seats on the machines were ripped up. Had to wait in line for almost every machine. Paid for a month and cancelled my membership two days later. Do a tour before signing up. $69 a month seems like $60 too much for the quality of this gym.

Hoy después de varios meses de ir a entrenar con mi amiga, 2 personas se nos acercaron en medio del entrenamiento para decirnos que no se podía entrenar a otra persona, aclaro varias veces entrenamos juntos y otras sola ella pero yo la ayudo. Nunca en todos estos meses nadie nos dijo nada, imagino también por el comportamiento que tenemos dentro del gimnasio donde por ejemplo como casi nadie ordenamos todo lo que usamos.
Cuando tratamos de explicarles (una chica morena y un muchacho) todo esto de ir juntos a entrenar y a veces lo hacíamos los 2 y a veces yo la ayudo sus dichos fueron no aceptamos entrenadores de afuero, ok yo solo soy su amigo ayudándola y por supuesto pago mi cuota. No solamente que no entendía mi explicación sino que no estaban preparados realmente para afrontar una conversación de este estilo cuando uno trataba de fundamentar solo están preparados para contestar como cassette. Por ejemplo diciendo el chico que yo le estaba sacando el trabajo a él?!?! Otra cláusula supuestamente dice que una vez que alguien pasa la puerta tiene que entrenar tiene que moverse, que??? O sea no puedo entrar con mi pago de cuota e ir usar el baño e irme … No puedo acompañar alguien por acompañarla???? Todo de mala manera y amenazandome de sacarme la membresía varias veces, no solo eso después de irse vuelve a los 5’ para verificar que esté entrenando o “moviéndome” y que me vuelva a registrar xq ya me quedó una mancha como que si pasa otra vez me echaban.
La verdad 0 preparación 0 tacto para tratar a los socios una vergüenza.

3 staff people at the desk, 2 talking among themselves about coffee. The other one is starting at her phone. After a few minutes of standing at the counter, waiting for help - I finally asked if it was possible to get help (This is already telling me what kind of business they are operating here). The lady says, “you have to sign up via the ipad”. Can you tell me what your membership prices are first? “No. We can’t even tell people that over the phone, they have to come in. So you are telling me you don’t know what your membership prices are? “No, I don’t”. Okay - what about your cancellation policies? “You have to call corporate, we don’t do it here”. I asked to myself, so what is the purpose of you standing behind a desk? After signing up for their monthly plan, three pages into filling out forms, they have the following statement.

“Save $3.95 a month by paying directly from your bank account or pay $3.95 for a convenience of deducting it from your bank card”. How is that convenient?! You know what’s convenient - being upfront with potential customers and not all shady, trying to collect data from people before you are honest about all your prices. I can tell this is one of those gyms you can never cancel, and are only there to take your money and not have your back when it comes to solving problems. Walked away after seeing their shadiness and way of “welcoming new members” Stay away from this place, unless you like extra headaches and dishonest policies.

I am writing to share a deeply troubling experience I had at youfit at 553 NE 79th St Miami, which ultimately led to my decision to cancel my membership. The manager, NERLAND has repeatedly made discriminatory comments towards me and my service dog. Despite my attempts to address these issues calmly, the situation escalated during a recent visit.

While I was doing squats without shoes on something I’ve done fpr years and numerous times at the gym and seen others do as well NERLAND approached me with 2 other trainers claiming I was violating gym policy. This confrontation seemed highly selective and targeted. She insisted she would show me where it was stated in the contract, but instead of returning with the information, she sent someone else to escort me out of the gym, causing me significant embarrassment in front of other members.

This experience was humiliating and unacceptable. It’s clear that MANAGER NERLAND was waiting for an opportunity to confront me publicly. Such behavior goes against the principles of respect and inclusivity that a gym should promote. as well to mention NERLAND called the police to escort me out of the gym, I hope YOUFIT takes immediate action to address this conduct and ensure that all members are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve

A couple things:
1)as a woman, I felt extremely unsafe anytime I used this gym. So many creeps.
2) Overcrowded, not enough equipment
3) Be careful, because the website tricks you into signing up for a year long membership. I knew that I would only use this gym for three months. I went to sign up for a month to month membership and I got signed up for a yearlong month to month payment
4) impossible, and I mean IMPOSSIBLE to cancel your membership. Customer service takes eons to respond to your emails and when they do it’s vague and they can’t get anything done.

Save your time and money. Don’t go here

Worst gym you could go to. From the very first moment they lied about the price of the membership. They told me I could cancel my no contract membership at any moment without a problem. Now after a month of a bad experience, I tried to cancel the membership and they want to charge me for the next month even though I called to cancel days before the monthly payment day. Not only that but they said the only way there is to not pay that extra month was to call my bank and tell them to cancel that payment, which would affect my credit.
The staff is terrible, they’re rude, they’re not even polite enough to say goodbye when you leave the gym. Also there was always a problem with the guest check in, and one time one of the guys who work at the front desk talked to me in a very rude way telling me I wasn’t checked in because my name wasn’t popping up in the malfunctioning tablet they have. After literally 10 times of putting my phone number my name popped in the screen and he didn’t even said anything.
Anyways just don’t go here for any reason.

Today was my first time there and I wasn't too impressed. One girl said hi when I walked in but didn't offer any assistance. The light skinned girl was very helpful to me. She pretty much was the best part of my whole experience. I wish I'd gotten her name.

After that I went to the locker room. Soon after a women cleaner entered. It seemed that she needed to restock on toilet paper and other items in there. She came in multiple times. I didn't mind at first but she became invasive after a while. If a male cleaner entered the women's locker room as this woman did, it certainly would be an issue, so let's practice equality here!

Afterwards I entered the shower and there was some debris on the floor but nothing to complain about. The shower was available and I was happy about that because the reviews mentioned that during peak hours this can be an issue. The shower was good but the water doesn't get hot enough for me. If there's no steam then it's not hot. This is especially important after an intense workout.

After I finished showering the woman entered again. This time cleaning all around me. I feel uncomfortable but it's her job so I let it go. But, then she came to me and asked me if I had showered. I figured she asked that question because she wanted to clean the showers and wanted to know if I needed to use it. But, No! She then told me to not leave paper and items in the shower. I firmly told her that "I don't know what you're talking about! Bye Now!" She left. My issue here is that she came into the locker room multiple times and never noticed that the shower had debris in it. Also, if she'd cleaned thoroughly the first time she wouldn't have to come back multiple times. I was going to go workout but that put a negative feeling in me so I didn't want to stay, also I needed to get a lock for the lockers.

I left unnoticed and no one said anything positive to me like "I hope you enjoyed it, hope to see you again!"

I have a month-long trail so I'll continue to come. But, if most days are like today I will NOT be staying afterwards.

I'm already looking at other gyms.

BTW I came in at 9:30 am. Everything should have been cleaned and shocked already seeing the gym had recently just opened for the day.

That gym is awful and they are liars, I received a notification on my facebook about them I decided to have a membership with them, someone call me I created the account with them and I asked the person what happen if I need a trainer for a few weeks, she told me that she doesn’t know about that I will have to go there and they will let me know, when I went there, they told me that the gym membership is is a fully year contract that I have to pay 25 a month, even though I go or no I will have to pay it for one year, and I agreed, when I asked about the trainer, they said it is a month to month, if I go I pay if I don’t go I don’t pay, I Aggee’s to pay the $250 to the trainer month to month, what they do, they added an automatic payment on my card without asking.

After 2 month I had a back injury because the exercises, that the trainer made me do was not good for my back, because I had an accident a few years ago, so I decided to not return anymore, since July, so I see that they charged me for August I didn’t say nothing but when I see that they charged for October, November I called them to refund me but they said no, I call my back and reported, they replaced the card.
After they go to an other card I had they charged me $500 I mover 8 and $250 in mover 28, $250 December 28, $250 in January and $250 in February I didn’t even know that I thought after I reported the September and October they would stop but they charged all those money I had to call my back to reports it again and they refunded me, but after I received a call from collection.
Those people only abusing people.
That gym is not a place for people to go because they don’t have any words.

As a paying customer I was just denied entry into this gym because they are no longer accepting phone numbers as a form to look up an account (as of this week, it was fine last week and the year I’ve been coming here). Although I have my ID and the ability to verify who I am, unfortunately, Bob, who works at the front desk is unable to use a computer in an effort to locate a paying customer’s account. Also, apparently at 8 PM in the evening, there are no managers on duty. I expected more from a place of business charging a membership fee. This gym is awful. Its so hot and smelly, no one re-racks weights, the bathrooms are disgusting, and its way to small for the amount of people in there. Everyone is packed like sardines and everything is always taken so you end up spending half your time waiting around for something to open up. I've been to a lot of YouFits. From what I've seen, a lot of the standard varies within gyms. I came here for the first time today, and on top of the fact that most of if not all the equipment I found was actually maintained and operational, and the space was clean, the gentleman who goes by Wit helped me solve a technical issue I had been having for months. I had even gone as far as talking to support for it. Well, I walk in and this man fixes it in less than a minute. Which, to me, implies he knows the system very well. On top of that, his attitude, along with his fellow employees was an exemplary display of good customer service that should serve as a template for other YouFits around the area. Give that man a promotion 🗣📢

Hace 1 mes después de 2 visitas al Youfit realice un contrato anual por $ 25.67, con 2 semanas free por $ 4.00, el contrato no tenía fit anual y hoy amanezco con $ 53.49 debitado de fit anual, son unos ladrones y al reclamar nadie tiene conocimiento, no hay responsable, solución llame a este número de teléfono pero es difícil que te atiendan, mejor escribe un email y de 4 a 7 días te responden, tengan cuidado, yo averigüe todo antes de hacer el contrato y no había fit, de lo contrario no lo hubiera hecho,, son estafadores profesionales y lo más bonito es que cuando vas a reclamar a donde te inscribes ellos no pueden hacer nada porque ese tipo de reclamo es con otra oficinas, CUIDADO

The gym is unkept and dirty, most machines have very few or no weights available, nobody re-racks after use so you'll have to look all over the place for the dumbbells you need. Buyer beware.

I was looking forward coming to this gym as its close to my home. i been going with my boyfriend that happens to also be a personal trainer and unfortunately no matter what time of day we go rather it is 4am or 5am or even mid day "while people are at work " its always busy never enough benches , the amount of weights needed or correct weight .. super annoying as he is not only trying to train me but also get his work out done also and since we both are youfit members our only option is 2 go to another location far from home but lucky for him close to him work. for the amount of people that come into this gym not only do they need more parking , space and work out equipment. I honestly am looking for better memberships at this point with other companies and see what they have to offer as i am unhappy with this location and refuse to drive to Hialeah loc. just to work out

Very bad experience in this gym.
I do not recommend it.

The manager of the place offers a lousy Service, changes the prices of the gym in her own way.
Bad customer service.
They don't give you the contract.
They do not explain the contract and all the costs.
They don't check your email.
They do not verify that you received the email with the access link to the app to download the access key to the gym.
I had to give my phone number to the receptionist to get in every day and I had to wait until they were free to be attended to.
The music is very low in the gym.
There is no air conditioning in the classroom.
I received ridicule from the manager and her co-worker.
If you complain about the bad service they provide, call 911 to get you out with the police and they ban you from entering all gyms after collecting the monthly fee and all costs.
My experience in a week at youfit.
What a bad experience.

El lugar esta muy bueno. Muchísimas máquinas para entrenar. Lastima que a veces las personas se quedan a vivir en las maquinas, sin hacer nada y no le permiten a uno poder seguir su entrenamiento.
La atención en la recepción de los domingos por la mañana, y la de los días de semana a última hora, son de terror. Muy maleducadas, siempre metidas en sus teléfonos y ni siquiera saludan cuando alguien entra o se va. De terror!! No me gustaría tener empleados así en un negocio mío, le ponen 0 interés a su trabajo. Todo de mala gana.
El resto del personal es muy amable y se preocupan por los clientes.

So I just got there, first day trying out the gym. I'm going to warm up jumping rope and 2 mins later someone from he staff comes to me and says: you CANT jump inside the gym., like at all.

What kind of gym is this? You guys are nothing but a joke!
