⚠️ Unsafe gym conditions at YouFit Coral Gables!

The gym machines work, but the heat is unbearable. The temperature feels like 92°F inside and there is NO AC. This is unsafe—anyone could faint from heat exhaustion or a heat stroke.

What makes it worse is the management’s response: they suggested I just visit during “cooler hours.” That is not a solution. Paying members deserve a safe and comfortable gym, not excuses.

When are you going to fix this problem? Until the AC is repaired, this gym is dangerous and unacceptable.

Este lugar va de mal en peor cada dia. Una multitud impresionante en un espacio absurdo porque casi la mitad del lugar lo han agarrado para personal training, maquinas rotas todo el tiempo, sin mantenimiento. Musica escandalosa todo el tiempo ( regueton ) de mal gusto, no hay aire acondicionado ( esta roto desde hace 1 year ) y siempre que preguntas los del front desk no saben ni donde estan parados solo estan atentos de hacer vida social entre ellos y la musica asquerosa esa que ponen. Este YouFit NO tiene aire acondicionado y ni siquiera ventiladores en el área de pesas solo un ventilador en la entrada. El calor dentro del gimnasio es insoportable, parece una sauna más que un lugar para entrenar. Es completamente inseguro y antihigiénico.

No entiendo cómo pueden cobrar una membresía cuando ni siquiera ofrecen condiciones mínimas para hacer ejercicio. Esto no es solo incómodo, es un riesgo para la salud.

No lo recomiendo a nadie. Una decepción total.

Estuve en ese gimnasio era nueva en el pais hace 4 años aproximadamente, y mirando las opiniones veo que sigue sucediendo lo mismo, señores con el respeto que ustedes se merecen, el gym no es obligado que es eso que uní no puede darse baja cuando lo desee, no jueguen con la situación económica de las personas, uno puede perder su trabajo y los bancos que son créditos que uno tiene no pueden hacer nada para que uno les pague, y estoy hablando muchas veces de grandes deudas, como un gym te va a obligar a que tu le pagues como me dijeron a mi tu firmaste un contrato y solo que tu te mueras puedes dejar de pagarnos aunque no vengas más, error de nosotros la población nos da un puesto de trabajo y nos creemos que vamos a hacernos ricos, no los ricos son los dueños a ellos les da negocio que tu vayas con cualquier tipo de membresía al final rs ganancia para ellos cada persona que se inscriba en su gym, los trabajadores nos tenemos que conformar con nuestro salario y punto si quieren más sean dueños, les pido a los dueños de los gimnasios que busquen personas capacitadas para desempeñar esos puestos, que sean humildes, amables, uno a veces va a un gym a desestresarse, a respirar, a entrenar de forma moderada, no todos podemos ser fitnes ni tenemos la juventud para empezar, algunos estamos terminando nuestra carrera de la vida y solo necesitamos cuidar nuestra salud, amenonos y ayudemonos para poder ser grandemente bendecidos, no les digo que si ustedes ven personas jóvenes con posibilidades los embullen a que entrenen con fuerza y que gasten su dinero en algo provechoso para ellos como una buena figura. Pero fíjense, analicen y dense cuenta que todos no somos iguales, que a veces tienes el dinero pero te falta la edad o tienes la edad y no tienes el dinero suficiente. This morning we reported a broken fan, and the manager, Eliane, dismissed our concern. When my husband pointed out that we pay our membership on time every month, an employee named Juan rudely told him to be quiet and escalated the situation. Instead of resolving the issue, Juan was disrespectful, confrontational, and even challenged my husband to a physical fight after his shift. His behavior was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. This experience was extremely disappointing.

Pésima atención tanto de los managers como de los trabajadores. La desinformación del personal hace que cometas errores que luego ellos mismos no pueden solucionar. Falta total de empatía y cero capacidad de gestión. No sé por dónde empezar a quejarme de este gimnasio. Pésima experiencia y total falta de profesionalismo.

Cuando quedé embarazada, fui personalmente al gimnasio para solicitar la pausa de mi membresía. Me dijeron que debía regresar en tres meses para extenderlo, lo cual hice. Sin embargo, en julio me informaron que no era el momento y que debía volver en agosto. Al hacerlo, no solo registraron mi visita como una sesión de ejercicio sin mi consentimiento cosa que no fue cierta ya que estaba embarazada y no estaba haciendo ejercicio, sino que también usaron esto como excusa para cobrarme el mes completo, un sin fin de errores de su personal.

El manager de ese momento, Osmani, reconoció la mala gestión y me otorgó un mes adicional de pausa como compensación, el mes de enero. Me aseguró que esto era excepcional, pero que lo harían para corregir su error. Ahora, en enero, me cobraron la mensualidad del gimnasio completa cosa que me molestó mucho y, al solicitar mi baja, acepté pagar el mes siguiente porque conocía la política de aviso con 30 días de anticipación. Lo que no acepto es que me obliguen a pagar la membresía anual de un año más, cuando claramente no pienso regresar.

Para colmo, cuando intenté cancelar, me hicieron llamar por teléfono, pero al llamar me dijeron que debía hacerlo en persona. Al ir en persona, me dijeron que la cancelación solo podía hacerse por teléfono. Un juego absurdo de peloteo y desinformación, con empleados que no tienen idea de lo que hacen.

Si estás pensando en inscribirte, ten en cuenta que aquí salir es más difícil que entrar. La falta de empatía, organización y seriedad hacen que la experiencia sea frustrante y desgastante. No recomiendo este gimnasio en absoluto.

Pocas veces he sentido tanta frustración e impotencia. No se que tan eficientes puedan ser entrenando tu cuerpo, pero, si quieres hacer algunos ejercicios de autocontrol y medir tu paciencia, este es el lugar.

Mi esposa decidió firmar el contrato de permanencia y asumimos las condiciones que en el se expresan. Bastante leoninas, por cierto. Pero las firmamos y asumimos, como no puede ser de otra forma.

Mi esposa salió embarazada y durante este estado, decidió no realizar ejercicios de gym, por tanto, se dirigió personalmente a este lugar para informar de su decisión temporal y además, informar de que previsiblemente no continuaría con el contrato en el próximo año. Todo esto con más de 6 meses de antelación al vencimiento de su primer año como inscrita.

Pues bien, esta visita informativa, por error reconocido por su personal, fue contabilizado como una visita de prácticas de ejercicios, aquí empezó nuestra pesadilla:

Decidieron olvidar este error cometido , no lo documentaron y como es lógico, otros trabajadores hoy son incapaces de reconocer la situación. Disposición nula y además actitud chulesca y negativa. Al ver que es imposible la comunicación con estos señores, mi esposa decidió solicitar tras más de medio año sin ir, solicitar su baja, por su puesto, cumpliendo con suficiente antelación. Tras una conversación absurda, y desgaste de energía inmedible, para solicitar la baja, le han exigido la membresía del próximo año, más un mes adicional, aun sabiendo la situación de bebé recién nacido, abandono por su parte de la actividad, y conocimiento de su diligencia informando en todo momento su situación.

He residido LATAM, Europa y USA. Mi esposa en cada lugar ha estado adherida a este tipo de contratos y conocemos sus implicaciones, pero, en ningún lugar del mundo encontrarás semejante incomprensión e incompetencia comercial. Un gym donde para firmar un contrato sea necesario representarse por un letrado, no creo que tenga demasiado futuro en nuestra comunidad. Disfrutad los 100 dólares y la cuota por descontar de nuestra cuenta, prometo, por supuesto, no pisar jamás vuestras instalaciones y por supuesto, contar mi experiencia y frustración desmedida. Por cierto, doy una estrella porque no he encontrado la forma de valorar con puntuación negativa.

Por si fuera poco:

1. Hablar por teléfono con su oficina central para la gestión de contrato, es un auténtico maratón.
2. La coherencia entre su atención telefónica y presencial, sufren un divorcio inexplicable.

De verdad, reflexionar mucho antes de firmar la permanencia, o bien asume que hacer ejercicios aquí puede implicar una propina de $150.

YouFit has good equipment, and when you actually get to use it, the gym can be a solid place to work out. The problem is, it’s always packed. No matter what time you go, it feels overcrowded, and the wait time for machines is ridiculous. The worst part? The staff doesn’t do anything about the groups of kids just sitting around on machines, glued to their phones instead of actually working out. It makes getting through a workout way more frustrating than it needs to be.

On top of that, the staff isn’t very helpful, especially when it comes to membership issues. Their billing and financing system is run by a separate company, which makes canceling a membership a total nightmare. A friend of mine had his account mishandled, and instead of properly closing it, they sent it to collections, messing up his credit. That alone is a huge red flag.

And for a gym in Miami, one of the most diverse cities, the music selection is awful it’s nonstop new reggaeton and Spanish pop, which wouldn’t be an issue if they at least mixed it up with other genres. But nope, it’s the same thing all day, every day.

Overall, the equipment is great, but the experience is not. If they managed the crowd better, trained their staff to handle membership issues properly, and played a more balanced music selection, it would be a decent gym. But as it stands, it’s more frustrating than it’s worth.

The only reason I go is because they accept Classpass and the credit needed are low. This place is a disaster. I never see anyone cleaning. Super disorganized because no one puts their weights back and staff don't go around cleaning up. I frequently spend minutes trying to find the weight needed. Cable machines are in constant disrepair. I've never seen anyone working on them. Free weights- They have multiple workout sections and unlike nicer facilities I've been to they have super limited sets of the lower weights. Finding 10, 15 and 20's is almost impossible at times. They also don't have in between weights like 12s so it limits progress. I would never pay for a membership here unless they cleaned up and the equipment improved.

Very disappointed with the management. I used to go to this gym, so I recommended my mom to start going. Claudina misinformed my mother about the Personal
Trainer plan. Alex was the person who informed my mom she had to pay the personal trainer for 6 months. My mom messaged Claudina asking for assistance, and she purposely ignored my mother. This place has shown uneducated, unprofessional, uncaring, disorganized staff. I’m glad I cancelled my membership, I definitely don’t recommend this gym!

Estoy muy molesta como se manejan los pagos del gym , tuve una experiencia desagradable , informé a la encargada que por razones personales no podía continuar iendo , el primer mes fue bien porque estuve frisada , al segundo mes fui personalmente y le dije con 12 días de que se volviera hacer el pago que no podía incorporarme que quería seguir frisada hasta que pudiera volver , no sé si es incompetencia de la gerencia pero me cobraron el día 20 , según me dicen que debo de avisar un mes antes . Yo no sé qué me pueda pasar mañana como un mes antes yo tengo que decir que no puedo ir, avisé con 12 días antes del pago y aún así me cobraron , no me aceptaron la devolución de lo que me cobraron , ahora que me están cobrando ? .Si no puedo seguir iendo , muy disgustada como se manejó la situación y no estoy conforme con la repuesta que se me dio .

Honestly I’ve always had a good experience with this gym as a guest that’s why i got a membership, but yesterday around 4pm a guy at the front desk was very rude when I asked for a small favor to put my scooter this one time because i forgot my lock, mind you I ALWAYS leave it outside because it’s just the way it is everywhere and thats fine, but he couldve either said “no i cant, it would get me in trouble” or “ok ill make an exception this one time but please blah blah”…I would’ve understood perfectly, but he had to have an awful attitude and tell me he can do the favor to me but hopefully this wont be a problem to him, that i shouldn’t be asking for that because those scooters have exploded in cuba, that is not their problem if i basically didnt bring my lock, that i should let him know when i find a gym that allows my scooter inside, that i dont have the 5 million dollars if the gym burns to the ground because of my scooter,BRO i asked for a favor he couldve said yes or no not necessary to be rude, i work customer service and with clients and i would NEVER speak to a client like that

Most of the time the gym is ok and no issue, but most recently is been a couple days that I’ve come tho the gym and they have and event where the music is extremely loud, no option to listen to your own music on headphones either because of HOW LOUD, consider maybe that some people enjoy their workout with their own music

Disappointing Experience with New Management at YouFit

I’ve been a regular at YouFit for several months, always sticking to the same routine and using the same equipment without any issues. However, my recent experience with the new manager at the location has left me feeling both confused and offended.

On my latest visit, I was told that I could no longer use the spot I had been working out in for months. While I understand that if there’s a trainer working with someone, I need to step aside, on this particular day, no one was training in the area. Yet, the manager approached me very rudely and unprofessionally, insisting I couldn’t work out there anymore. When I asked for clarification or her name, she refused to provide it, which only added to the frustration.

I have videos that clearly show the situation, and it’s evident I wasn’t in anyone’s way. Her behavior was completely unnecessary, and I felt disrespected by her tone and accusations.

Because of this incident, I decided to cancel my membership. It’s disappointing to see that a gym I’ve supported for months would treat its members so poorly. I hope YouFit takes steps to ensure its staff are better trained in customer service and professionalism.

There is young lady KARLA that works in the evening that has No MANNERS whatsoever . She is very rude and has no sense of courtesy. She is very desperate to leave at 11pm every night. In any job you do not leave exactly at the closing time. 15 mins before closing she’s already yelling and harassing people as they finished their work-outs. She needs work training immediately. As she delivery’s poor work ethic every evening and poor attitude which will lead to multiple gym membership cancellations.

I really do love this gym but 90% of the treadmills do not work properly. Two of six stairmasters have problems. Weights are often left out as trip hazards (I know this is not staffing fault). There are times the music is so loud, no amount of jacking up the volume on my headphones can tune it out. Just fix the machines please.

Poorly Maintained Equipment and Cleanliness Issues. This place is quite disappointed! The equipment is extremely outdated, and much of it is in poor condition. The leather on several machines is cracked and damaged, making them uncomfortable and even unsafe to use. It’s clear that the gym hasn’t invested in proper maintenance or updates in a long time.

To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the gym leaves much to be desired. The equipment is often dirty, and the gym mats are old and worn out. Hygiene should be a priority in any gym, but it seems to be neglected here.

Overall, needs to address these issues urgently. The only good thing is staff members.

How could this happen? I went to YouFit this morning.. and surprise!...there was a homeless man at the warming up area. That was very nasty, and they shouldn't let that happen just out of respect to the customers going there.
I can't imagine all the dirtiness he left on the machines he was touching. And of course the members of the staff didn't do anything about it.
I'm wondering if now we will have to share machines with these homeless people. That is pretty upsetting.

No one ever cleans machines. Bathroom is dirty. Massage chairs never work. Machine padding is torn. Told me I had to make a new account for no reason. Now my past account is in collections. It is also difficult to cancel memebership. No one that works ther really knows how. Place is a mess. Go to Planet Fitness or L.A. Fitness near by.

The attention to the public is bad and to the point of being in bad taste, the machines have broken and cracked seats and some machines are out of use, the environment is heavy and has a bad vibe I pay the premium monthly payment and now they do not let me use the VIP space that was previously included in the membership, when you ask to talk to a manager they attend you anyone and they present themselves as a manager and when the time passes you ask to talk to the manager again and they deny themselves saying that they are not a manager, It seems to me that they make fun of the users of the gym, NOT RECOMMENDING.... Terrible experience. La entrenadora apenas me ayudó. Me cobraban una hora de trainer y acaso me daban 20 minutos. Te tratan de hacer miembro con miles de engaños. Cuando enfermé y quise cancelar me trataron muy mal,me sentí con un yugo del que no me querían soltar. Cuando quise cancelar, no pude hacerlo en el gimnasio donde me hice miembro, me dieron un teléfono que es mas fácil ganarse la lotería a que te respondan. Y cuando logras q te respondan tienes que dar cuentas porque querés cancelar. Mira nada se parece más a una película de horror que esto de hacerte miembro al menos en ese gym. Sin decirte todo el dinero que te quitan de tu tarjeta de crédito y sin avisar. Se me parece a algo que dicen por ahí ,algo parecido a robo.

This incident should not reflect poorly on the rest of its hard-working employees. I've enjoyed my three years as a member at this YouFit location. I generally go in late after work, pop my buds in, and tune everything out. The gym is clean and well-equipped, and most staff members have always been extremely courteous and respectful to me.

While mid-set, I sensed three feet to the side of me a staff member signaling towards me to another gym member he knew, openly saying, "Look at this wimp," which, for a second, I took as a joke, turned my head and half smiled back but then looking at me dead in my eyes with a condescending smirk on his face the entire time said, "he dont even speak English."

I'd like to bring this incident to management's attention in hopes that it was an isolated occurrence and not representative of this staff member's typical attitude. Living in different parts of the country, bigotry isn't new to me, but If he has insulted or harassed other members in the past, I sincerely hope actions are taken to prevent this from continuing. All gym members deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and feel comfortable while trying to better their health.

I still believe YouFit has much to offer its members, even though this experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Been going here for years, the staff is always friendly and it has everything you could ever need. They have newer machines now and a designated spot for the personal trainers but you can use it sometimes if there's not too many people there. Everything is pretty clean, if you go in the afternoon you'll most likely see the lady that cleans wiping down equipment and cleaning the floors, there also a big change she'll become your friend since she's super nice heheh. But yeahh great facility overall. :)

Their promo are just a scam to take your money. I was promise to pay $24 a month and ended up paying more $48 a month plus $23 if your payment is late. 3 days later. On top of that $60 yearly fee . Come on. You're better off. You're better off Going to planet fitness or LA. Cheap alternative and offer the same environment and equipment.
