I signed up for a 23 dollar preimium membership online, the pricing was not upfront and they charged me 100 dollars in the first month. Then keep trying to charge me 46$ per month. To top it off the workers allowed some random man to get access to my personal info and phone number and begin harassing me at home. I signed up with my debit card so it will be a cold day in hell before they get another dollar out of me.

This gym is great if you love hidden fees and having no control over your membership.

When they tell you there is one down payment to start that is a lie. There is an annual fee and an initiation fee both of which cost about $50.

Additionally, cancelling a membership here is nigh impossible, even if you do the month to month option. Do not trust whatever pricing they list on their websites.

And be prepared for the fact that if you want to cancel you will have to make a down payment of $50 bucks for a yearly membership and even if you are month to month when you tell them to cancel the membership they will hold you responsible for any payments for the next 30 days.

If you have any need to move or there is a chance you won’t be in the same town then I highly suggest not joining this gym.

the billing is all run through ABC fitness solutions which has one of the worst call lines I have ever had to deal with. Takes light years to get a human on the phone who can actually tell you what all the unexpected payments are that you have to make just to end your membership.

Find a different gym. YouFit is a scam. ABC Fitness Solutions just wants you to bleed money.

I use the Pinellas Park club and love it, but I seriously dislike this Gainesville club. It's dirty, and they have 1 giant fan that creates a hurricane in about 200 square ft of the 10,000 square ft club, so if you work out under the giant fan, and I had to, it's like being in a hurricane 🌀 I asked the manager to adjust the fan, but he couldn't be bothered with it. I'll cancel the multi club membership I have, and find another club with no wind storms inside.

Youfit gym isn’t always busy like the other gyms around Gainesville. It has everything you need/different things that isn’t in other gyms. Great gym, very clean & not crowded at all. You can always get your workout in and go home. I recommend this gym for people that dislike crowded gyms. Also I want to give a BIG shoutout to Grace. She’s Very helpful and on the tour she did great. She helped me understand everything :) I thought she was the manager for a bit!

I was initially very excited to join YouFit gym. The staff are friendly, the equipment is good, it’s spacious and well maintained. I signed up for the 3-day pass to test the waters, during those days they were calling checking up on me on a daily basis.
I was always questioning the gym staff about the policy and fees to make sure that there are no hidden fees. Unfortunately, on the day I was signing up, it turned out there is:
1) an initiation fee of $47.30 (incl. Taxes)
2) an annual fee of $53.74.
(Keep in mind that I’m new here thus not experienced with the gym policies.)
They could’ve easily mentioned them whenever I asked them about the policy and fees, instead of just trying to make me enroll and surprise me with these fees; specially that they had been calling me for 4 consecutive days (honestly useless calls).

I was so disappointed by this way of treating members, as if they’re just wanting you to enroll and suddenly surprise you with these fees. This is why I insisted after that about knowing all the cancellation fees and policies, I don’t actually want any surprises from my gym.

I’m simply there to workout and not for surprises!

Affordable and very nice gym. There are 3 squat racks and there's space for you to do everything else, like deadlift or hip thrusts without getting in the way of the squat racks. Everything is well managed. I'm very happy with how things are designed at this gym.

The customer service here is an 11/10. Leed, the general manager, was so kind and patient. My s/o went in to talk about some weird billing issues that had already been resolved but weren’t reflecting on his records. Leed printed out a ton of proof that this issue had been resolved to present to our leasing office for an apartment we’re applying for, and even offered his phone # so they could reach out to him if they needed any clarification. Decent gym overall, had everything I needed. It was affordable as well! Wasn't open on time once or twice, but business can't always control that.
However, make sure you cancel 40 days in advance. Otherwise they will charge you for the next 40 days. I am not sure why.

If you leave town before canceling your membership, you have to write a "certified letter" to their office as well (which you need to buy). Then there is a $10 fee with canceling (unless you have premium plan). So in total it can cost between 0-$50 to cancel, which can be roughly 5 months of membership.

Overall, 4 star gym, but + 1 for price. However, -1 for confusing cancel policy (not on website) and -1 for hidden fees, and finally -1 for expecting customers to send a letter in 2022. Digital solutions are available. Will adjust rating if policies are updated.

This is the third time I’ve come to this gym and the gym hasn’t opened. It is 618am and gym is supposed to be open at 5am. This constantly happens. First few times I figured it was an accident but third time is ridiculous. Other members all were here this morning and were upset as well. Working class people trying to have a schedule and can’t trust the gym to be open on the hours they say. Watched a father son just come to the door and have to walk away and go home….. a mom walking the parking lot was waiting for them to hopefully open and eventually had to leave. I love this gym for good equipment, cleanliness and friendly staff but the music that is played each time I visit is just unbearable. Techno and dubstep is not everyone’s thing. Please play some rock or at least pop so people don’t get annoyed. I’ve talked to few other members about this and they all agree that the playlist should be updated.

Youfit as a whole seems to lack customer service and on top of that corporate is extremely difficult to get a hold of. If you have issues regarding payments, cancellation, etc just know it’s basically your fault in their eyes and nobody is rushing to your aid. I HIGHLY recommend taking the ten minutes to Google “youfit better business bureau” and reading through the complaints. This seems to be habitual for them.

I went to this place it was nice at first however I started going during the day time and I got harassed by one of the trainer/front door clerks who said that I didn't pay my bill. I asked how is it so because its been coming out of my account every month for the past several months. He preceded to tell me that my account information had been deleted and haven't paid in several months. It is very clean and uncrowded. Staff is knowledgeable. My beef is that I canceled my membership on January 25 th of this year. Imagine my surprise when I saw my cc statement that showed a cancellation fee of $10. and also a monthly fee for the month of February, even though I had canceled in January. Upon calling them, they said that I was charged for February because I didn’t give them 10 days notice of my intent to cancel! Of course when I canceled in person at the gym, nobody mentioned that.

Edit: Today was my first time back following their reorganization of the equipment and I have to say, I really hate what they've done with the place. Beside being aestetically displeasing, the setup is uncomfortable and generally makes no sense. There's no natural, comfortable transition from one machine to the next let alone between areas. I'm extra disappointed that they've taken the Express Circuit out completely. It was the main selling point of the whole place. Gotta hurry up and cancel my automatic membership renewal so I can take my money down to GHF.

Went in yesterday to activate my membership only to realize I had registered for "Youfit On Demand," their online subscription. Jordan was extremely helpful in resolving the situation. He was able to transfer my agreement into an official in person gym membership without any additional cancellation or registration fees. He got my membership activated and I was ready to go in no time. Excellent customer service!

I have always enjoyed going to this gym. It's clean, I have never had issues with anyone working there, and I always found the prices to be reasonable and the hours and location to be very convenient. Unfortunately I had to stop going in March with COVID happening and haven't returned since I still find it to be risky and have started working out at home. Since June I have called and emailed YouFit here at this location and it was quite the process getting my membership canceled since I was no longer living in Gainesville. I was told via email correspondence that members were eligible for a refund for the months that the gym was closed. It is now October and I have not seen a refund for the time their doors were closed. I have also written to the headquarters and that went nowhere, and there seems to be no corporate number to call. I really enjoyed this gym and the location but the fact that they've essentially ghosted me on my refund when they claimed they were providing them is extremely upsetting considering how patient I've been. I've tried calling in the past but no one seems to know much- they will tell me just to come in but I'm 8 hours away. How are they going to expect me to do that? My membership is already canceled but the refund seems to not be happening, and that should be easier than canceling a membership.

I'm leaving a review because after attempting to get in touch with them the last few times, they have not been responsive. They seem to be much quicker to respond here, so I just decided to leave a little review. It's a great gym but I'm very disappointed in how they have handled this.

Edit: after posting this and emailing again, I finally got my refund. It took a while and the communication was greatly lacking for a while, but in the end I got my refund and enjoyed the gym so I changed it to 4 stars overall. Thanks!

It's even worse than i thought. They won't cancel your membership right away and will make you pay for an additional month and then charge you a $10 cancellation "processing" fee. What a mistake it was joining this gym.

Excellent trainers (especially Roddy & Jessica)! Super-clean facility, with a huge variety of machines. They're all wearing masks and observing social distancing. Best bang for your buck too!

I was a member for over a year because is was the cheapest gym in the area, and to be fair I got what I paid for. Not once was everything in the gym in working order (bathrooms, water fountains, equipment). It was always crowded to the point that I had to wait in line to use any equipment. I was also charged while the gym was closed for the pandemic, and any attempts to correct this were dismissed.

I let them know over a year ago I would like to cancel membership due to a accident. They still took money from my account. Right before COVID they charged my card double and when I called they said they will refund it to come inside and fill out a paper. They had been closed and this morning when I woke up they charged my card double for fees during there closing. How can you charge people for a facility that is not open? Then told me come in today and fill out a paper and it will take 30 days for a refund from the day I first cancelled.

I loved my gym experience, but I had to cancel my gym membership due to them not having a place for kids. I was unaware that the gym membership and training membership were totally different. I cancelled my gym membership, but no one communicated to me that you had to cancel both in order to not get charged. I called and spoke with someone and she got my name & number , but no one called me to fix this issue. I called again today and spoke with someone else, but I got the run around. I just called five minutes ago and I was finally told that I have to come to the gym in order to cancel the trainer membership. What makes me mad is that when I went to cancel my gym membership a month ago Absolutely No One thought to tell me or let me know that I had to cancel both. Communication is the key and I didn't receive that at all with this issue. I was very upset and even thought about going back, but that's out of the question.

There are new rules every single day. My friend had a membership so she could bring a guest. The first day they allowed me to come, but the next day they didn’t allow me because I wasn’t 18 year’s old.

I have been coming here for a few years and it has always been great but in the beginning it was a bit less crowded. However, as membership has increased in this limited space it's gotten very packed very quickly. I constantly find myself waiting for several minutes between excercises while someone else finishes on the only machine in the building that does this specific movement. The water is sometimes cold in the showers and the hours are ok but they shut down sometimes without warning or posting any signs. Overall a great gym for beginners or experienced lifters alike who want a quality commercial gym for $10 a month.

It's a great commercial gym if you are looking to get a quick workout in. It has everything you need and more. Several types of cardio machines and weight machines. There are a handful of benches and duplicates of certain machines or weights in order to allow more people to use them instead of waiting. For the price you pay, it really is a good deal if you compare it to residential, clubhouse, or university gyms.

Okay gym, but can you guys make sure your employees don’t close shop 45 minutes before closing time on the drinks? I’m spending extra monthly primarily for the benefit of the discount on protein shakes. How does it make sense that 45 minutes prior to closing you guys are closing the system down for checkouts at the counter? Feel jipped, and I’m writing a letter to get my money back this month because it seems like the time you guys close the counter keeps getting further and further back.

Staff are friendly, 10 dollar a month plan is an excellent value. While at peak times it can get a little crowded it isn't too hard to get to equipment. Supplies are well stocked and bathrooms are clean. They used to be open til 3 am, wish they went back to those early hours.

I've attended this gym more than a couple times. It has everything you need minus the need for 1-2 more squatting racks/deadlift platforms so people aren't forced to deadlift in the middle of the gym. The cleanliness of this gym is really sub-par considering the labor costs that are going into the number of team members working a on a daily basis. Several of the gym's employees are consistently talking to one another and walking around the gym conversing with trainee's for the sake of discussion. Which is a win/loss. Win in developing a gym community. Loss as in overlooking the fine details of production rate among team members. Often times, there's a medley of cardio machines that are always out of service. Every day a new machine is down. Potentially this is something that can be fixed with a weekly preventative maintenance checklist. There's a lot of small details that can take this gym from a mediocre gym, to the best gym in Gainesville. All of this can be fixed with proper Management. With Crunch Fitness coming in early 2020, the Management must take into account all of the small factors to have the competitive edge over the newer and fresher Crunch Fitness.
