I mainly joined this gym because it was very clean. Recently, the cleaning lady resigned. Don’t know if they have even hired anyone to clean because the gym is absolutely disgusting. People go the gym to benefit their health not yo be exposed to diseases.

Updated review- broken machines will not me fixed for months the issues in my review are still not fixed and now one of the bikes has an out of service sign. Also this gym always runs out of paper towels to clean the machine. How is something so basic always falling short? I really think management needs work. They responded to my review saying I should email concerns because apparently telling the staff every other day when you come in doesn’t work lol. Also- look at how the bathroom looks with bloodied tampons in the garbage. Aren’t there health codes regarding this?

It’s a pretty good gym except I’m not sure why they have so many employees but can’t fix basic things. I have been asking for over a year for them to place a bottle holder on a bike. And I have been asking for over 3 months for them to replace a petal grip on another bike. Also sometimes the gym looks dirty with a lot of dust and used paper towels on the floor. Also people don’t restock the weights and neither do the employees so you have to walk around the entire gym looking for weights. Better management is needed.

This gym has turned into a joke, no space to do anything. Theres some bs class every corner of the gym that wont actually help anyone get in shape, and all rooms are closed unless theres a class going on so people have to stretch or warm up in the middle of the walk space.

This gym has lost much of the service it had a few years ago. They play such loud music—reggaeton and "Reparto"—that I can't hear the music I wear to work out. The machines are dirty, and there's paper everywhere. The staff doesn't provide good customer service; they tend to be careless when dealing with customers, unfriendly to the point of being rude. I really had to change.

I wanted to go to the gym for 2 months, from November to December, and I asked them if they could cancel my membership afterward because I live in France. They told me they would help by canceling my plan, but they didn’t do it and kept taking all my money until May. So they lied to me and stole over €600. Great memory of Miami😡

Unfortunately, my experience at this gym has been quite disappointing. First of all, the music is excessively loud. They constantly play reggaeton and reparto at such a high volume that not even noise-canceling headphones can block it out. This makes working out uncomfortable and far from motivating, especially for those who prefer to listen to their own music or simply focus on their routine.

Additionally, on more than one occasion, they have closed the gym earlier than the scheduled time, forcing clients to leave without prior notice and not allowing us to finish our workouts. This is a complete lack of respect for those of us who pay for a service with a set schedule.

Management urgently needs to improve both the environment and their respect for users' time. Training here has become more stressful than productive.

Yesterday I was at this location and the staff wouldn't even let me get in the locker room to wash my hands because supposedly the bathroom was broken.

This YouFit location is smaller than the one at 8311 West Flagler and not as clean as that one, but it's fairly equipped and members are friendly, which doesn't seem the case of some namely "personal trainers". One thing that influenced my decision to take 2 star off the rating is that a couple of them use a boombox to tune a radio station that plays music not proper for a workout environment, but like for some teenagers hangout on a weekend! Most members bring head pieces to play their sounds, and even with noise cancellation the booming is annoying. I noticed it's not just me uncomfortable but they don't seem to care.
Besides a military background, I have been visiting gyms since the days of Jack LaLanne, maybe it's because we lowered the bars here in Miami, but management doesn't pay attention to what customers value. Another detail I noticed, they don't have a single clock hanging on the walls: it's a basic thing.

I love this youfit compared to other locations. It has a sauna, movie theater, grass patch for walking lunches, new workout machines and new free weight machines and even multiple squat racks.

However down falls are. They have two large dedicated areas reserved for just personal training. Which is kinda of unfair because the equipment there could easily be used for regular members but is not available. For example the square foam blocks. If you're going to have dedicated areas at least have a few of the items in the regular area.
Or why not add a slightly larger grass area in the middle with some of the equipments for regular member ships?
There's a larger enough are in-between the leg machines and cardio area.

Also the room that they do classes is are always locked and not available if you're not in a class. Which is kinda annoying because there's not many areas for us to do free weights. The grass patch provided gets crowded with just a few people. Atleast make the room available if you have 2 big reserved areas?

Lastly, if the theater has cardio equipment why isn't there atleast 2 stair masters in there. Other gyms have atleast 2-3 of each type of cardio machine available in the theaters. Just a suggestion, it might be more appealing.

Like I said, I love this gym compared to other youfit locations but there are definitely somethings that can make it even better!

I’ve been going to this gym for 2yrs now, and I’m consistently impressed. This gym is top notch clean, spacious, and well-maintained. The equipment is always in great condition, and there’s plenty of variety for all types of workouts. What really stands out, though, is the amazing staff. The front desk “Mary” is always welcoming, friendly, and ready to help with anything I need. She makes checking in and getting started a breeze, and she really create a positive vibe as soon as you walk through the door. “This gym is an absolute disaster. The equipment is outdated and constantly broken, the staff is rude and unhelpful, and the place is filthy. I’ve seen cleaner locker rooms in a high school gym. The air conditioning barely works, making it feel like you’re working out in a sauna. They pack the place with so many members that you can never find an available machine, and the classes are overcrowded to the point where you can’t even move. To top it all off, they make canceling your membership nearly impossible, locking you into their overpriced and subpar service. Save your money and go anywhere else—this place is a joke”

This is a fantastic gym, and Carlos is hands down the best trainer there is. From day one he has been my guide through my journey to be a better person, both physically and mentally. To say that he cares would be an understatement. It is very rare now a days to find someone who genuinely loves what they do. Not only that, but his knowledge of fitness, health and nutrition is mind blowing. He does things the RIGHT way, every time.
He expects the best out of you, in AND out of the gym. I KNOW he is giving it his all, which makes me want to give it my all. Less than two months into my training and I am well on my way to being the best version of myself.

I am not one to believe in angels but I think Carlos just might be one, and I mean that with all my heart. He's a good good good dude.

First of all I give only one star not for the gym staff, from the front desk to the trainers are super nice people and they transmit that desire to continue making an effort, I give only one star because it seems unfair to me that they kick out a trainer from the gym, for being late on two occasions, when many times her clients leave her waiting for up to half an hour, in addition to her playing music, Hellooooo we are training we need motivation, just like we take breaks and take our cell phone they have the right to do so, in my opinion the management by the Human Resources staff of this gym is garbage and if my trainer leaves the gym, she doesn't leave, you fired her I'm leaving with her, because it seems to me the worst lack of respect on the part of the Human Resources staff, to kick someone out for taking care of us and helping us improve, forgive me but if her methods are not correct I hope they bring someone better

Put a bad taste in my mouth . Tried to cancel for months and given the run around . Came lady at desk say you have to call this number . Came back asked for the number again and someone told me I had to email them . I emailed them all the info and it was a nightmare . They replied after a while saying that I needed to go in person . Called another Youfit location they told me they could have did everything in person when you were there . Unbelievable. Finally after months was able to get the memebership cancelled. Tim is the Goat! Please get him as your trainer. You won't regret it. I'm so glad I started training. It's fun, it pushes you, and you feel great after (maybe not during but mind over matter) highly recommend!!!

So below is an updated review. This is about 2 years after since Tim left and I got a new trainer-Mario. I have no complaints on any of the staff or any trainers, they're all amazing at this location.

My change from 5 stars to a 2 star review is because of the terms and conditions and their lack of flexibility with their training sessions contract. I made a commitment to training because I wanted to better my health and become stronger. However my initial trainer left and then I got Mario who is a great trainer and a great person. However, June and July of 2024 I had some health issues and a job layoff which caused me to have issues with payment. All they could offer me was a freeze on my account and that was $50. Mind you monthly the training sessions (for 3 per week per month I believe) is $330. That for me is a lot of money but I was willing to invest it in myself and make the commitment. Now since I was behind on two payments (since I started the contract in July of 2023) it should have made my total $660 to owe. I owe now over $1000. The person who initially signed me up for this set my contract to auto renew when I NEVER wanted it to.They told me I could pay it little by little which is concerning considering they told me if I don't I go to collections. Now again I understand this has nothing to do with the workers and everything to do with YouFit. But as someone who has financial issues now and can't even do the sessions nor pay for it is so overwhelming. I don't know what to do honestly. I currently can't pay this off and it seems as though YouFit and YouFit policies don't really care about what happens to you during the contract as long as you either freeze or pay.

I'm genuinely surprised by the amount of positive reviews on this place. Our experience was completely opposite to those positive reviews. Free weights are never reracked and scattered throughout the gym(including the cardio cinema and even the sauna). Also, massage chairs are almost always out of service. Oh and some cable machines have been broken for months without repair. Getting a hold of staff is nearly impossible and some have been dismissive about damaged/malfunctioning equipment. I can't in good faith recommending this place to anyone. We're cancelling our membership.

I hope this email finds you well. I am a loyal member of Youfit Gyms, regularly attending the facility located at 8755 sw 24th Street. I have been a dedicated member for over four years, visiting the gym four or more times a week.

I am writing to express my concern and disappointment regarding recent changes at the gym, particularly in relation to the new management and employees. Since their arrival, there have been several negative changes that have impacted my overall gym experience.

Despite bringing up my concerns with the store manager on multiple occasions, I have yet to see any significant improvements. One of my main concerns, in particular, remains unaddressed, despite assurances from the manager.

The issue at hand revolves around the inappropriate music being played in the personal training area. As you may know, Youfit Gyms has a specific playlist of music designed to create a pleasant and motivating atmosphere throughout the entire gym. However, recently, personal trainers have been bringing in their own radios and playing music that is not only excessively loud but also entirely inappropriate for a public setting.

This music not only disrupts my training sessions, making it difficult to hear my personal trainer, but it also creates a distracting and uncomfortable environment for other gym members. Many of us come to the gym to unwind and focus on our workouts, and the intrusive music hampers this experience significantly.

Furthermore, I find it unacceptable that employees are taking it upon themselves to act as DJs while on the job. It goes against the professional standards that I expect from Youfit Gyms and undermines the positive atmosphere that the gym strives to maintain.

I urge you to address this issue promptly to ensure that the appropriate music is played throughout the gym, as intended. Additionally, I kindly request that measures are taken to ensure that employees adhere to company policies and refrain from playing unauthorized music during working hours.

Y mi experiencia es exelente en este youfit, llevo un año visitandolo y nunca lo vi tan organizado y limpio como ahora y sobre esta exelencia me toca mencionar Leyamis Lopez, el trabajo de los entrenadores personales es muy profecional y arduo y toca mensionar algunos de ello como nelson. Laura, Dimo, Leandro, Edward, Arnaldo, los cuales me ha tocado trabajar directamente con cada uno de ellos, sin hablar del trabajo estraordinario del gerente Nandi perez, el cual esta pendiente a cada detalle y a las necesidade de cada miembro y su acompañante tanto asi como de cada uno de su personal.
Toca destacar, que han habido siertas dificultades que se van de sus manos como maquinas rotas, el aire acondicionsdo, roto y lo vemos como trata por todos los medios de solucionar para mantenernos satisfecho, creo que denerian de darle mas recursos para facilitar su trabajo, ya que hace demasiado con poco pero en general mi opinion es exelente.

Massage chairs are all beat up. Only one of them works correctly.
Bathrooms are dirty. Weight machines padding are ripped. Very difficult to cancel membership. I went to front counter and cancelled . I was told I was officially cancelled. I am now receiving collection notices from them and have been reported to my credit report.
Update. I am now getting collection notices and calls aftet cancelling. I called youfit customer service number and they told me I had 3 active accounts under my name!!!!???? How!!!??? I should have only had 1 account and it should have been cancelled. Stay away from the Westchester youfit!!!!

I would like to take the opportunity to review You Fit, my gym, at Coral Way & 87 Ave, and express some thoughts on some of the reviews and behavior that I've seen at the gym, so strap in! Ever since I joined You fit in January, I could not have felt more welcomed by the staff. From Day-1, they treated me very well and I've gotten to know several of them, along with some members, which include the managers and my personal trainer, Leandro. They show a great deal of concern, not only for me but for other patrons as well. Leandro is not only an excellent trainer, helping me get back into shape, but addresses my several ailments and injuries that sports and a career have given me. He is also a very nice and caring person, as are the other trainers.
I've read and heard complaints about the equipment being left in places other than where they belong-that is because of the members who don't put it back when they are done. They act as if the saff should clean up after them. They try, as I saw everyone cleaning up today, but it is our responsibility to put things away where we found them. To those who do not, do you live in a barn? What did your mother teach you? Pick up after yourselves and don't leave paper towels and rags lying around for the cleaning staff or another member to have to throw away. I wonder what your house looks like.
I heard a "young lady" complain to the GM that she didn't like the classic rock music that was playing over the gym's audio system. She demanded that it be changed to something "she" liked instead. What? I didn't know she was special. The music selection is chosen by the corporate office and it rotates from genre to genre. For those of you that don't know what that means, it's the different styles of music. I don't personally care for much of the younger crowd's music, but I just deal with it while I'm with my trainer, and when I workout alone, wait for it, I listen to my own. Imagine that. But I wouldn't complain and make a scene. It's bad form.
And one last thing about some of you gym tough-guys; why do you insist on dropping the weights when you're done with a set, and make all that noise when they crash on a rack? You want the whole gym to look at you and see how much weight you were pushing. We are all very impressed. Actually, we're not. You are going to eventually break the weights, and here is something important-the equipment isn't yours! If you want to break something, break your own. And if you need the attention, get a puppy.
Take care of the gym, be polite to the staff and if you have a complaint, make it in a professional manner and I'm sure they will address it. If I hurt some feelings then, oh well...

Someone commented earlier saying: "Sure, weights are all over the place sometimes, but you can't blame staff for people's lack of self government." But, governance by a gym is one of their primay duties. No just sell, check-in, and personal training. People do not self-govern, its why we have police for traffic and violence. The staff needs to manage this. Its a mess and a danger. A lawsuit will come, its just about time.

I do not recommend this gym. At first glance, they seem to offer a flexible contract where you can cancel your membership at any time by just paying one additional month. However, the reality is quite different. Despite canceling, they continue to charge you secretly until you accumulate a significant debt, which they then send to a collection agency. This practice is deceptive and dishonest. Worse still, they offer to eliminate the debt if you decide to return to the gym, which shows a total lack of integrity and ethics. In short, this gym uses unscrupulous tactics to retain their clients and profit dishonestly.

No recomiendo este gimnasio. A primera vista, parecen ofrecer un contrato flexible donde puedes cancelar tu membresía en cualquier momento con solo pagar un mes adicional. Sin embargo, la realidad es muy diferente. A pesar de cancelar, continúan cobrando en secreto hasta que acumulas una deuda significativa, la cual luego envían a una agencia de cobros. Esta práctica es engañosa y deshonesta. Peor aún, te ofrecen eliminar la deuda si decides regresar al gimnasio, lo cual demuestra una falta total de integridad y ética. Beware. Poor billing practices. Gym tells you to call accounting office, and accounting tells you to call gym. No accountability. Poor customer service. Billing errors common. Be careful with annual contracts. Be careful with upgrades, they reset start dates and wont allow downgrades. When canceling my membership, I sent the Email, as instructed. No one ever replied after a week. I called and they hadn't received my Email, so the cancellation clock started as of my call. They want 30 days notice to scam you for an additional month, no other reason. So they got 1 additional month from me. Won't be returning due to their shady business practices. Joining Planet Fitness instead!

After 2 years of being a member of YouFit and never having a problem until I ran into this short kid named RODOLFO (WITH A MUSTACHE) in the front DESK!! Giving a very poor, sarcastic and demeaning customer service. He does Not meet the criteria to be in the front of ANY business. Equipment in good operation, water fountains in working order, and a pretty clean environment. Bathroom isn't nasty. Sure, weights are all over the place sometimes, but you can't blame staff for people's lack of self government. All you can ask of a YouFit. I've seen some real run down ones. This one is well maintained.

One of the better larger youfits in Miami , there dumbbells needs major organizing weights plates dumbbells are all over the place ! While for some reason they have legit 8-9 employees doing absolutely nothing but talking behind the desk or messing with the tv by the dumbbells acting like they are doing something . Good luck finding dumbbells ill even find plates anything you name it by the restrooms on the floor is ridiculous

Another annoying very distracting thing on their training side by the entrance there is a lady and or sometimes just anyone the trainers are training would be screaming at the top of their lungs that i can hear them through my headphones and it clearly bothers everyone at gym because i hear them complaining and no one / staff says anything they just laugh and not just a pump and you grunt a couple times no it’s screaming for 45 min straight non stop to the point i see people so pissed off they leave the gym .

Lots and lots of socializing !!!! Not enough working out people hogging machines and equipment talking and again no one says anything

The middle aged lady in the early mornings is great and a sweet heart does her job very well all the younger trainers (mostly where transferred from hammocks location which was is a tiny location )just hang out talk and every time myself and -pretty much anyone I've seen go up to the counter to buy something there would be literally 5 of them standing there doing absolutely nothing staring at you in the face trying to buy a drink while the younger girl has her back turned until i say hey excuse me i would like to buy this because if not they would act like the customer doesn't exist or is just there for nothing just 0 craps given lol . And this will probably fall on deaf ears and is the culprit / downfall and the problem when these establishments get a little to big for their own good gyms just aren't the same anymore think I'm just gonna go with LA fitness just because of their service and machines , cleanliness i was at crunch in another town which is awesome but they only have one at south beach here . Lots of young wannabe trainers that don't know what the heck they are doing .

Nobody re racks their weights, dumbbells and plates all over the place. Worst part is no maintenance done on the machines, all the cable pull downs and Row machines aren't smooth at all, cables get stuck and weight stack becomes uneven during lift. Alot of other machines are squeaky including cardio equipment

This may be the largest of the youfit locations in the area but it is also very poorly maintained. The equipment is in constant disrepair (broken cables, torn surfaces). The plates and dumbells are always scattered throughout the gym (sometimes even in the bathroom and sauna). The floor is always unkept and filthy. Management is aware yet makes no effort to correct the problems.

Terrible service, poor hygiene, the machines are useless, the trainers are useless, and they also offered me a month's trial for 1 dollar and upon seeing the conditions, I decided not to go and I made it clear to them and they sent me to collection for a debt that I had never owed. Llevo mucho tiempo asistiendo a ese y otros gym Youfit y el problema con el aire acondicionado en este de la 24 y la 87 es insoportable, ellos siempre dicen que están tratando de solucionarlo pero así es imposible hacer ejercicios, es preferible que antes de entrar los clientes adviertan del problema para que no sufra de fatiga o un desmayo. Se los aseguro es poco saludable hacer ejercicios así.
Por favor eviten consecuencias peores para todos y enciendan los aires o definitivamente arreglenlo que ya este problema sobrepasa un año

After weeks being picked on by the staff because they didn’t like my guess (mi wife), today when i was going to check in they ignored me and passed over me. So when I reacted they got nasty and aggressive with me and my wife. A one point i had for employees on my face screaming and pointing their fingers in my face. All i ask to cancel my subscription and to show me prove that it was cancel and it was deny. They just made us leave treating us that they were going to call the police because it was a private property and we will not be allow to any other gym because they have connections and they were going to send our information to them. Worst experience ever! They don’t have qualified people to deal with costumers.

On the weekends the men’s bathroom is a mess. I saw a barbell plate in the sauna and there was toilet paper on the floor of the stalls. I have mentioned this to management at least two times nothing has been done.
