After knowing about the events of a couple of weeks ago, in which an autistic boy was treated inappropriately at this gym, I would like to make my opinion clear regarding the lack of tact and humanity shown, allegedly due to complaints from another person, because of his way of approaching others in search of companionship and friendship. The easiest and most convenient solution was to revoke his membership, without taking into account the emotional and psychological repercussions for this young man. Let's remember that psychological health is just as valuable as physical health, and if they caused harm, in my 20 years of experience as a lawyer, I want to make it clear that this is a case of discrimination and prejudice. Finally, I want to make it clear that I would not choose this gym as a place to exercise and spend quality time with friends. This branch of the gym has poor management and mistreats people who deserve equality and inclusion.

They don't even deserve one star. I'm stopping by to mention the poor management by the staff, especially the managers at the East Colonial location. I accuse them of racism and discrimination against customers. If that's their way of saving what little clientele they have, let me tell them they should learn some basic humanity, sensitivity, and manners, among other things. We're all in the same boat, having friends or family with some kind of "special" condition. I hope that some of the managers there will later have to experience firsthand the terrible experience my son and I had with the staff for being so basic and insensitive in handling situations. But there's a God up in heaven who's watching us, and sooner or later, "they'll be judged by the same standard." Now I understand why that place has such bad reviews. I hope my family and I can quickly find a legal way to file a complaint about this situation.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Not only is this gym outdated and weirdly quiet, they’re contracting company is HORRIBLE. They claim that canceling is so easy but I have been requesting cancellation for over 6 months now. They will not refund my money or canceled my membership. This is all because there was an error on THEIR end of what email should be utilized for cancellation notices. The contract stated one email and they are saying another with absolutely no efforts to make it right. RUN from this gym. That will be all the exercise you need and save yourself from this scam of a gym that doesn’t even manage their own memberships. The front staff is great!. However, this YouFit location on East Colonial Drive has had a very poorly functioning A/C system for over a year. It’s extremely hot in here regardless of the time of day. It’s not safe. These concerns have been expressed to management and senior leadership, by many people, on several occasions without any resolution. If you live in the area you’re better off going to Crunch Fitness, Planet Fitness, etc.

I really love this gym. The staff and people are generally great. Yeah you get some dumb college kids that can't clean up after themselves but overall a very chill vibe. Semi decent equipment and the cost is fine.

HOWEVER going to make this one star till they fix the AC. As the summer approaches the place is getting seriously hot and gross. I like building up a sweat, I don't like when the building builds up a sweat in swampland Florida.

Again, staff is great. This is either on ownership or management, do your jobs and fix whatever is going on with the AC and I'll update the review.

I love staff and location but i am going to give 1 star due to an issue that really was corporate greed: I had signed my teen up for personal training sessions which were super. He loved it. He got busy and was just going to use the remaining sessions when he was less busy and this is what gets me: about $300 worth of sessions and they „expire“ so fast. I mean almost right away. That is absolutely absurd to me. They shouldn’t expire at all. We paid for those. And neither the trainer nor the gym get that profit but corporate!!!! How rude! So now we lost hundreds of dollars and no sessions. This is so rude!

Be advised you cannot cancel your membership depending on the level you select. The contract is ambiguous and if you cancel you will still be billed and then sent to collections if you protest the charge. Go to a locally owned gym where you can understand the agreement.

This gym has been rebranded and so has the pricing. My card was stolen and I wasn’t receiving any emails or alerts and since I have slowed my gym activity due to the summer heat I never knew that my account had been canceled. Now they want me to pay a fee and choose one of their new payment plans. For what I used to pay $20 a month to bring a friend for free and access all the Youfit gyms is now it’s up to $37 and still get charged an annual membership fee on top of that. This gym is small and no where near the size of the new planet fitness at the Waterford lakes area next to Launch entertainment center. Also no massage chairs and no relaxation rooms. Also I don’t know about the training now but it was $50 for 30 minutes. And since you’re on their schedule it’s probably 25 minutes of basic YouTube style training. It’s a gym for those who probably need something real close by but if you own a car there are way better options at more affordable pricing with equally the same if not better and more equipment. Bunch of Thieves. How can you keep charging folks membership while your facilities are closed for use. On top of that, your cancellation policy forces human contact by making you cancel in store. This not only inconveniences the consumer (which i'm sure is the purpose of this rule), but further spreads the disease. How are we meant to close our accounts with you when every time I go to my local youfit and it is closed? Big lesson learned during this quarantine, so thank you for opening my eyes to your unethical policies. I will not be forgetting, and will make sure to share my experience so others will be more wary before signing your predatory contracts.

In my opinion you fit gyms is quite a scam and a racket, they are noticed on the better Business bureau as a d - rating. All of their complaints are typically about overcharging customers and promising more than they can fulfill.
I had a terrible experience joining them 2 months ago, Misty and Chris signed me into a contract that I clearly did not want and they did not supply me with a signed contract, they told me it would be emailed to me but it was not. Long story short is they never told me about any additional fees.
Within a 2-month period they charged over $500 to my credit card without me knowing
I have a very big ongoing dispute and going to seek legal actions against the company.
Too much to explain in a text, but if you look at Google reviews and yelp, their ratings are extremely poor and all of them is due to disputes overcharging customers.

Went here for my last two years at UCF - I absolutely loved this YouFit! In a convenient location, never too busy, very kind and helpful staff, clean facility, and affordable rates. On the smaller side, but has pretty much all the equipment you need! My only complaint is that the AC would go out sometimes, so it can get pretty hot. Other than that, I loved going here, and I’d recommend it to anyone 😊 The only reason I left was because I moved.

Well my review went down to a two cause I feel a little insulted that I have been attending that gym 5-6 days a week for the past 4-5 years, give mostly my entire contact list, keep up with these random payments, support every business they have let set up a table and grab their business cards and promote them to being embarrassed today July 23/2024 cause I was over due in my monthly payment by eleven days, yes if you owe, you owe but since when has that been a problem?multiple times I have stated it will be paid next week and no problem eve. stated I will pay July 25/2025 but just eleven days and sent back through the door you came in after being so loyal to them but I still love this place and every day I enjoy going in here and working out with my friends but today that action felt like a slap to the face and it even wanted to make me cancel my membership right there on the spot.

I've been going to Youfit on Alafaya for over a year. I love it there! All the staff is so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. There are a variety of classes offered (yoga, Zumba, small group abs/glutes, etc.), plenty of space to work out on the turf, and lots of machines to choose from. If you go, I recommend working out with trainer Arrick -- he makes working out fun & exciting, and he's very knowledgeable & encouraging!

I loved this gym and had zero issues. Over the past two years, I've never missed a payment and have never had any issues. There were many months where I didn't go at all, some months where I'd go daily.

A few months back, I popped in and spoke to the manager on duty about how to cancel my account. I told him I would be moving at the end of June and asked about how to cancel appropriately to ensure I'm not paying for unused time. I was told it would need to be canceled at the beginning of June for the end of June as they couldn't schedule an "end date" ahead of time - it needed to be processed in the same month.

Fast forward to May - I went back in on May 29th and was told that cancellation wouldn't be an issue, and that my account wouldn't renew. The assistant store manager said everything was good to go, I just needed to send an email with my account number to customer service.

Upon doing that, I came to find I'm now stuck paying for an entire month of service that will never be utilized as I'm leaving the State of Florida. So now I'm stuck paying $44 for service that will never be nor can it be utilized.

I was provided with bad information and YouFit absolutely REFUSES to make this right. Had the employees provided me with correct information, or had I not done my due diligence, I wouldn't care anywhere near as much. But the fact of the matter is I did exactly what I was told to do.

This feels like nothing more than a cheap money grab. There is literally zero legal reason to force me to pay for an unused month outside of the fact that they want free money.

I will never use this gym again. These tactics are vile.

While the gym is fine, you are locked into a contract regardless of whether you are able to go to the gym or not. Then, they are not clear on what you have to do to cancel until you are upset that it's automatically renewed without your knowledge and cannot even cancel it for you. You have to send an email to a third party and hope that you are not charged again before they respond.

Tried to lower my membership payment to basic after cardiac surgery. Lady wanted $150 to change my membership. Which I was told was free and could do at anytime. So decided to cancel membership talked to another lady and she said that once contract was over simply say no to renewing the contract. Never got a call or email. I am absolutely so angry with this gym. Last February of 2023 i moved to Texas from Florida and I canceled my gym membership because there is no youfit where i moved too. I loved everything about youfit, i have friends that i signed up with me and even friends that work there! They have been charging me TILL NOW!!! In June i told them i moved and they said i had a FINAL PAYMENT. I MADE THAT FINAL PAYMENT IN JUNE OF 2023 and now in FEBRUARY OF 2024 im getting calls for ANOTHER final payment of $124. It feels impossible to cancel. I was moving back to florida in 2 months hoping to sign back up but they pissed me off so much. Never will I ever be in a youfit again. I went in to cancel my membership in November and asked if I needed to fill out any paperwork. I was told no, they would record it. It is now February and I have been billed an additional $200 with a different company claiming I needed to provide them written notice. The location claims they don't control billing, and have no control over my account.

Automated phone calls 3 times a week asking for payment and bill collectors calling about a bill I should not owe.

Nice enough gym, but be careful if you think you can cancel your membership easily - you can't

The gym overall has what you need to get a workout in. Locker room is small and not really the cleanest, there is always water on the floor by the fountain (no refill station) and its layout is just awkward. You can see the vision but it’s poorly executed. I will say the trainers are knowledgeable and creative with the lack of support from the facility. If you need a fitness professional it’s a good starting gym. No sauna or steam room, and an annual fee after 30 days??

I moved to an area that did not have a Youfit location near me.
I attempted to cancel multiple times in person and was told there was nothing they could do. I was given a number to call that rang for nearly an hour before someone answered, then was given a complicated process with unlimited steps. After about a month of this I gave up and just blocked the card.

Now they sent me a letter from an attorney attempting to collect on the roughly $100 they think I owe them. According to their dispute response there was a form I was supposed to fill out online or in person... I was told multiple times in person there was nothing they could do.

Very unethical and scummy practices.
Maybe instead of harassing and targeting customers that are leaving, they should track where they're moving too and use that to determine where their gyms should expand, instead of burning a relationship with what could have been a future returning customer.

This business model probably explains the companies recent financial status.

Save yourself a MASSIVE headache and do not sign up here. I never leave bad reviews, but I have to protect people with this one. I've had issues for over 3.5 years with this gym even though I haven't been there in 3 years.

Here's what happened: I tried to cancel back in 2020 after I'd moved 2 hours away. It was also during Covid. So I called & was told I had to come in person, which was ridiculous. I asked to speak to a manager who was always "unavailable". Even when they took a message, I never got a call back.

Eventually, I got a hold of the manager, who was no help, even after I offered them to charge my card a cancellation fee over the phone. Eventually I reached a deal with corporate to pay a fee and they would stop charging me forever. After I paid that fee, they kept charging me for all of the next year. It took FOREVER to get on the phone to try & see what was going on. When I finally reached someone, they refused to cancel my membership on the spot despite agreeing that I had been wrongly charged all year & was due a refund. They said they had to review the case and they would follow up via email (which I knew wouldn't happen since they have never followed up like they promise).

Since I didn't hear back, I emailed them to follow up, and they told me I still owed money - even though the last guy told me I was due a refund. They've also threatened sending me to collections. All in all, I used this gym about 10 times in 1 month, tried to cancel, and I've had to wrongly pay them over $400. This company and its owners (ABC Fitness) treat people like numbers and don't care about you at all. Avoid at all costs.

ps If management replies to this message asking me to "call in", I'm sure the manager will be unavailable as usual.

I’ve tried many gyms but this one has been my favorite. I mostly went in the early hours and every piece of equipment was always available. Clean restrooms and utilities. Did a 3 day trial. Gym is decent but oh my, the phone calls! I have blocked 3 or 4 different numbers harassing me about starting a membership. I have to admit, Youfit, that is unprofessional, and you need to respect people’s contact preferences. I requested not to be called at all and have had to block 3 different numbers because they were harassing me with non-stop calls and texts and emails. I’ve been at this Youfit on and off for about 2 years now and it’s always been really great. The staff members are nice and the equipment and areas are always really clean. I haven’t done it myself, but the personal trainers always seem super kind and encouraging. Since I’ve started two years ago, coming here has aided me in my weight loss journey. I’m down 45lbs!

Started my membership today after visiting the gym on a 3 day pass and I have to say Maddie was beyond helpful. She explained all of the membership options that were available, and did an excellent job at explaining how to use the app to sign in daily. Grateful that she was the one to help me out when I came in. Thank you Maddie!

I’ve been at 3 different YouFits so far and this one has the best equipment. However, it gets really busy because it’s right next to UCF, so it’s hard to find a good time to go in and get through my workout. But they have very nice staff and it’s always clean.

After 60 days, I was charged a 60-day $50 yearly fee that I wasn’t told about when I signed up. Spoke to the front desk, and he said ONLY the monthly fee and signup fee was all I had to worry about if I joined Youfit. I shouldn’t have trusted the employee and read the fine print. Please be aware of this fee before you signup!

Place is pretty chill, decent enough equipment to get a solid workout, can be a bit crowded at times. My main gripe is that they have this big room to host classes, that every other gym I’ve ever been to, allows membership access when classes are not in session. It creates a quiet and private space with plenty of floor room for stretching and ab workouts. The problem here is they restrict access to that room when classes are not in session. Essentially this forces members to do stretches and ab workouts in heavy foot traffic area floor space, which makes it feel crowded, crammed and uncomfortable. This place would be 4 stars if management came to their senses and allowed access to the large room when classes aren’t in session.

I get charged for the month and go the next day to cancel and pay the cancellation fee, and then a month later I’m being charged after I was prompted that I wouldn’t . I mentioned that I’m enrolling in the Air Force when I went the first time yet I need documentation to show even though I cancelled my subscription the month before. Just lost for words that I’d have to go through this even though my plan was cancelled the month before. Before you join make sure you know what your getting into!

Rie Wi’s hip hop Zumba class was amazing! I felt like I was rehearsing as a dancer for a Janet Jackson concert tour. She was filling in for another employee as a substitute while they were out, but I wish she would lead hip hop Zumba more often. Kayla is my trainer and she is the best!! So encouraging and supportive! She is definitely the reason I'm so much closer to reaching my fitness goals!!! 💪🏾💪🏾 The entire staff is always so friendly and welcoming! I love coming here every day after work. Coming in feels like I'm catching up with old friends. They all make feel like I am supported. I have recommended this gym to multiple Friends. My husband even joined!

Robert’s yoga and pilates classes are amazing! He really knows his stuff and has helped with my tension and sore muscles more than I can describe. I have taken many yoga classes through the years and this is by far the best yogi I have encountered.

RJ is also wonderful and brings such a joy and energy. His positivity and uplifting personality make me more confident that I can achieve my goals. He is a master of his craft as well.

I have been working out at this gym for just over two months and it's been a great experience. The gym is well kept and has a lot of options for exercise equipment and also open space to stretch or do bodyweight exercises after. The hours are also good as it's open till midnight (on weekdays) which is sometimes when I feel like exercising. I've been doing twice a week personal training sessions with Hannah, which have also been great. I've learned a lot about the different exercises, had fun and am motivated to keep working when I would usually stop on my own without the accountability. It's great to see the improvement as the classes go by and my form on many of the exercises has gotten better. I would definitely recommend this place to any UCF students who want to get started!

Edit: I am now training with Austin, and that has also been an amazing experience. He's been very encouraging, knowledgeable and accommodating to my availability!

I switched from crunch to come here. They have all the equipment I could want and there are less people in at the times I like to go which is great for me. Plus all of the staff are very nice and super helpful, whether you're in personal training with them or not. I'm glad I made the switch

I have been going to youfit for a couple years now and I have to say, they are definitely the best gym around. All of the staff are always friendly and help whenever you need. I have never seen any equipment down or broken. Also, they recently updated the gym so they have a lot of new equipment and a great layout that makes sense. Oh, aaannnddd they are the only gym I could find with a heavy bag for the boxing enthusiasts.

I love the redesign and the new equipment. It gives a great workout and more chances to do some exercises with the extra equipment.

I gave 3 stars due to the showers are not cleaned on a regular basis. Have seen flies in the showers, hair and left over soap sometimes for days. Maybe a new cleaning crew or more frequent cleaning is needed.

This is a great gym with amazing staff. One of the most friendly staff members is Mark who works at the front desk, he’ll help as much throughout the session as he can. I have also been lucky enough to work with Austin who is a personal trainer at this location and he helped me with my form, eating habits, and helped me become stronger. I definitely recommend!!!
