Iโve witnessed staff not wipe down equipment after using it. Place needs a real deep clean. 0 improvements in 5 years as a member.

I have been a member since a few months after this location opened- after youfit filed for bankruptcy in 2020 it has progressively gotten worse. consistently gross restrooms - machines inoperable for weeks at a time - staff neglecting to refill paper towels / disinfectant spray during peak hours. Don't even bother reaching out to "corporate" they will ignore you.

Basic facility, nothing special. They have an issue with guests thinking itโs a glamour show, wearing tons of perfume and stinking up the place. Equipment smells like some horrible funk. I spoke to the workers about it and they just shrugged their shoulders rather than deal with it. One woman in particular comes late mornings and really stinks up the whole place. I see people leave the area when she arrives. If they donโt address this, Iโm done with this place. Others too.

Stay far away from this Gym. My family and I had a membership there, and my autopay stopped because my debit card was blocked after it was compromised. We stopped going anyway, so I thought it was no big deal. However, they hired a lawyer to intimidate us for a couple hundred dollars. I am a retired veteran who has never even bounced a check, but now have a $159.00 late fee on my credit report. STAY AWAY FROM YOUFIT!

I've been a long-time member at this gym, but since the change in management, I've seen a significant decline. The equipment is often broken, the TVs are gone, and the music is unpleasant. Most of the front desk staff are friendly, but Mathew (new guy) stands out for his rude and insulting behavior. His actions feel harassing and add no value to the customer experience.
Under the previous manager, the staff would sign me in as a guest on my husband's membership, which was a convenient arrangement. However, when I asked the new manager to reinstate this, they responded in a robotic manner and didn't seem interested in helping. When I raised concerns about Mathew's behavior, the manager sided with him, showing a clear lack of customer service skills and prioritization of staff over customers.
As a result, I've decided to cancel both of my premium family memberships. It's clear that the gym no longer values its customers, and I have no choice but to leave.

Been a member since this location opened and it has only gone downhill lately. Replaced gym equipment that didnโt need to be replaced yet they don't address the lack of air flow or that the A/C doesnโt keep up when it gets hot outside. Can join in the gym but they now offshore the process to cancel your membership in hopes it will be too much of a hassle to do. There are plenty of other gyms that are run much better so thatโs where Iโll be going.

I've been a long-time member, 5+ years, and hate the fact that this facility has declined egregiously. The quantity of out-of-service machines is such that I asked one of the managers if the location was closing down because that's the only explanation for equipment that has been out-of-service for over 6 weeks. 2 of 5 step machines, 1 of 3 cycling machines, 1 of 2 chest press machines, 1 of 2 leg lift machines, and at least one elliptical. And those are just the machines I use. He recommended I email the "info@youfit" support address, so I did, and I got back a generic, "thanks for contacting us, we'll forward your concerns to the appropriate party." That was over 2 weeks ago...nothing since. Either fix your equipment or close.

I've been a member at this location for a few years. In the beginning I was very impressed with the staff, equipment, and cleanliness; however, since the change in management this location has quickly gone downhill. On average, I am there 4 - 5 days a week. On a daily occurrence, many of the employees are at the front desk staring at their phones and/or eating. Often employees are not even aware that someone has walked into to gym. Not that I feel like I NEED to be greeted, but it is a good gesture and shows positive customer service.
Several times, the gym has run out of paper towels to wipe down the equipment. Their solution has been to provide one microfiber towel at each cleaning station for ALL gym members to share for wiping down sweaty equipment. The most recent time was for 4 days. (Longest was 2 weeks.) I approached an employee to ask when they anticipated to restock the paper towels and was told at noon that day and that it was "same day delivery". Also the employee was speaking to me with his mouth full while taking bites of his breakfast. When I was there the following day the towels still weren't stocked. Knowing that would probably be the case, I brought my own roll of paper towels. This location happens to be right in the middle of a Publix and a Lowes, both of which sell paper towels. I seemed to have triggered some awareness and they finally sent an employee to purchase a few rolls of paper towels to put out at each station.
Also, I understand that these machines get heavy use and will occasionally need repairs, but the turn around time recently has been absurd. There are only 3 recumbent bikes that are often in use during the morning. One of then consistently is in need of repairs. I had requested at least one addition bike and was told I could use a spin bike instead. That is a completely different piece of equipment. I understand that there is only so much space for new equipment, but they could easily remove one or two of the elliptical machines. They are never all being used at the same time.
One of the draws/perks I took advantage of was that the premium membership allows you to bring a friend for no additional cost. I was utilizing that perk for a while, but no longer needed it so I decided to downgrade my membership to the basic one. I realized that after downgrading, I was being charged more for the basic membership than the premium membership. When I addressed this with the staff I became aware that I had been miss quoted on the membership cost and they also began charging me a "processing fee" even though I was set up for EFT instead of a credit card. The employee didn't offer a solution, so I requested that a manager contact me so the billing issue could be resolved. Of course, I was never contacted by a manager. I eventually was able to make contact with one while at the gym (he's not often there in the mornings when I go) and was offered a refund for the processing fees they had been charging me. He wasn't the least bit apologetic for the error/inconvenience.
All in all, customer service, equipment availability, and cleanliness must not be part of this location's business philosophy.

My recent experience with Youfit has been very disappointing to say the least.
I signed up for a trainer by a "manager" that didn't even work at the location, she was from Miami. Never saw her again, she said she comes once a month, that was a lie. I was signed up for 6 months and she assured me I could cancel anytime with no cancelation fee.
I started my training with Mia. She was very nice and listened to my concerns. Then she switched me over to Kelly who later I found out was the manager of the trainers. She was also excellent to work with.
Unfortunately I have several medical issues and I started hurting, I couldn't do much of the exercises especially weight lifting. Kelly was very accommodating. I had 1 mo remaining and I decided to cancel since I was in pain and not being able to do much and also $280 a month was killing my pocket as other unexpected medical bills arised.
When I went to cancel, the guy that helped me said he had to ask Kelly, as she's walking by, didn't even greet me just answered his question, and then I looked at her and explain I was told I could cancel anytime when I was signed up, then she addressed me and said that's not our policy and I'm not going to argue with you, took me by surprised because I was not arguing, in fact all I did since I got there was apologize to the guy for canceling and praising Mia and Kelly for their good work.
I felt like a number. Now that I needed to cancel she was short and not too sweet with me. So hypocritical. They finally said for me to pay half for the remaining month. So I signed a form saying I would only be charged $140. We'll I was charged the full $280. I contacted Kelly and she said she was not sure why that happened and she would find out and get back with me. I'm still waiting.
I had to contact my bank and dispute the charge.
Kelly finally sent me a text saying something like Hey love here are the specials for this month and the prices. Which I appreciated because I did tell her I wanted to be back.
This review is not against them personally. They were both nice but I did see a slight change when it was time for me to cancel.
Today I got charged $89, I'm not sure what for. I called my bank and disputed, I'm not even wasting my time calling the gym. I also put a hold on the credit card.
This world is pretty messed up. Everything and everyone are all about money and what they can get from others. It's so sad.
All I wanted was to exercise in peace, unfortunately i signed up for a trainer. Never again! I will go back to the gym one day, for now I'm not interested. I'm very disappointed.

Went back for the first time in a month or so and its dirty. The floor was dirty and had small debris on it like it hadn't been vacuumed. Men's bathroom smelled wretched (worse than the average smell for the men's bathroom). Somehow someone's gum is smushed into the deadlift platform and was just left there to flatten over time, like how it does on a sidewalk

This YouFit location is a small, cozy space, ideal for those who prefer fewer crowds and not as much equipment. However, my recent experience has left me very disappointed.
I was out of the country for three weeks, and during that time, my bank shut down my debit card due to a security issue. Which I was make aware of and was good with that safety step. When I returned home, I found out my YouFit payment hadnโt gone through. I reached out to the billing department via email, but after nine days without a response, I decided to visit the gym in person to speak with the manager.
The staff at the front desk assured me they could assist, but I was surprised to discover that my $10.40 monthly membership had incurred a $30 late fee. While I understand the need for late fees, charging nearly three times my monthly rate feels excessive.
Frustrated, I decided to cancel my membership, given that I only had two months left. However, I was told that I could only cancel in December, the final month of my contract, and would need to provide a 30-day notice. This seemed unfair to me, as I believed I should be able to cancel my membership immediately and pay for the remaining months.
After another call to ABC billing, I was able to cancel my membership through them. I would strongly advise anyone considering this gym to proceed with caution. I initially intended to maintain my membership long-term, but the lack of effective communication and customer service has been disappointing. Itโs a shame, as I had hoped for a better experience.

Been lifting for over 20 years and have been a member at 6 gyms during that time. YouFit is one of the better gyms Iโve belonged to. Equipment is new and spread out, so youโre not on top of other people. I never feel like Iโm waiting to use equipment which is common at other gyms and itโs also not crazy busy when I go (anytime between 5:30am-10am). Place is clean and well organized. Staff is friendly and the price is definitely right.

Recent changes in exercise stations is bad. Looks like they are catering to muscle heads only. All of the circuit area is gone, that was frequently used. Now more leg work out stations (that are not needed) and more free weight stations that are not used often. New configuration is a joke. Have heard other members are not happy, so my opinion is not singular in nature.

BEWARE- they will over charge you and give you a complete runaround when trying to cancel. Everyone there seems to be really good at playing dumb. We have sent multiple emails to cancel and their response is they canโt find the account. Funny, we reversed that charge through our bank and miraculously they find our account but, they still havenโt canceled it. Reading these reviews it looks like this is a regular practice of theirs.

This gym is a scam the people are nice
But the actually plans and pricing arenโt I signed up with a $20 plan for a guest and myself I stopped hitting the gym a couple months ago I canceled my membership stop getting the payment then out of no where I get a $80 dollar charge to my bank account
I called you canโt cancel it from the people in the gym you have to email and call a number I called emailed them many times for the past 2 months but nothing on deleting my account just a bunch of other numbers and emails I could call to apparently delete my account I did all the stuff then the next week they change my plan to a $130 dollar payment from $80 this gym slowly tries to steal your money without you realizing

Edit to original review: Place is going downhill fast. The company is not repairing equipment. Cooler has been broken for over a week. They only have 4 exercise bikes and one has been broken for days. Another one has mismatched pedals so your feet arenโt the same position on each side. Employees are constantly changing now. Not sure whatโs going on but I get the vibe from whatโs going on here that the company culture is probably toxic and getting worse by the day.
I have been a YouFit member for close to ten years now. I may have to go elsewhere. Sad as I really like the Body Combat and Zumba instructors. But if they donโt turn this place around there is a gym closer to me that I actually pass to come here. I can sign up there for the same amount as YouFit so ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Original review:
Great location. Easy to get in and out. Also with it right next to Loweโs and Publix you can work out and the. Go pick up something you need.
This location is cleaner than the N Dale location. The staff are friendly and the equipment is in good working order. This gym also has windows all along the gym which gives it a wonderful open feeling. Too many gyms are claustrophobic where they have a few windows up front and then nothing but walls. Also other gyms try to cram too much equipment in too small of an area. This one does not do that.

Be aware of: The contract you sign is site unseen, as well as any training packages that you purchase. They tell you what it says and have you sign in a little black box. Before you commit to this facility, make note that you can not talk to a human above the gym manager. They give you an email to send your question or complaint to and you will receive a response that is generic with no signature. It is all pre scripted or templated.

I signed up for regular monthly premium, and when I tried to cancel 6 months later they told me I could only cancel if I became DISABLED, MOVED FAR AWAY or payed 6 MONTHS worth of dues? and when I asked the 3rd party which controls their memberships (Youfit won't do anything about it) They just said it was policy without telling me where or when I agreed to it. I was bombarded with emails about "2 months free, when you sign up". So I signed up. And just 2-3 weeks later I seen I'm billed for $46. The plan I picked was $29. So that didn't make sense. Then I call to ask why I got billed when the AD said I got 2 months free. They said they were sorry but that was only 2 months free at the END of my agreement. That was never listed in the AD, i was under the impression it was in the beginning of the agreement like other companies advertise, i feel lied to just to get me to sign into a agreement. I asked to cancel because that wasn't what I agreed to because the ad was misleading. So they said I can't cancel until the $46 was paid. I'm curious where that amount even came from very very bad experience and they won't stop calling for Ads and "Specials" smh very annoying!

Friendly and likable staff, and easy pricing options. I also decided to get a YouFit coach, and the coach is outstanding. I already knew how to use gym equipment and formulate work-outs, but the coach did so much more. Even experienced gym-goers should get a coach for a time just to ensure you are maximizing your workouts and have good form.
Update: 2/24/2022. Coming up on one year with a trainer and I've yet to regret it. I've lost weight, gained muscle, and just feel overall better about my health. All of this, without feeling like I'm over worked or pressured into doing something I'm not ok with. This is one of my best decisions in my later adulthood. You fit is the way to go for sure.

There should be an option to give zero stars. Your customer service sucks and you're charging people without permission. I haven't been there since 2019 and you randomly charged me today. When I called to inquire about the fee that was even higher then when I was originally going, there was no empathy compassion or even a next step.

I started up a basic $10 membership in May 2021. About a month into my membership, I went in person to change my bank account from my old account to the new one I opened in Tampa that would now be my main account. I spent the couple minutes to remove the old account and the girl at the front told me I was all set with the new account. This was around one of the last times I actually attended as I started getting really busy at work. Fast forward to Feb 2022, I find out that they never processed the switch to the new account and have been charging up my old account that is closed. They also put a DEROGATORY REMARK on my credit for $186 saying I havenโt paid and am in collections!!! If they processed the switch correctly, they couldโve collected their monthly fee even though I havenโt even been going.
I have never been in collections and they never mailed me anything or called and left a voicemail. It is their fault they didnโt switch the payment correctly and itโs not fair Iโm dealing with this. Not to mention Iโm paying for a service I havenโt used in forever.
I have an email document from Youfit on June 16th confirming that the payment method should have been changed. WHAT A SCAM! Stick to planet fitness.

It's a decent gym. Struggle to get space on the free weights. Better than PF, not as good as Crunch (smaller than them, less free weights).
EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED that they changed their hours after the pandemic. I have work and family, so if I want to spend time with my kids, I usually can't start working out until after 9:30 when they are in bed. In addition, closing at 6p on weekends is ridiculous. Looking at Anytime Fitness because of the new lack of flexibility. This is not a gym for a working parent.

I have been coming to Race Track YOUFIT for a while and have been arriving almost every day at 6am to train with a really good friend of mine. We both have Limecards.....We go over a routine and then execute it together. I get my member ship removed because the trainers on there are butt hurt because their workouts lack creativity and progress. Been a YOUFIT member for over 7 YEARS. What a slap in the face

Good gym...but you have to wait for the popular machines. Apparently you need 10 minutes to set up your play list for the 2 minutes you're actually using the machine for. Would think management would be more inclined to avoid this scenario that happens so very often.

You can never cancel once you join. I tried to support the local business by paying full membership in Covid time -- even when I know I cannot come by. But it's impossible to cancel -- they just want to suck your blood as long as they can. Going to cancel my credit card and tell all my friends about their bad practice.

Been trying to cancel the membership bc of Covid and they want me to COME IN to cancel. Umm, missing the point? Plus, they want to bill me for another month even though Iโm cancelling before the month begins! AND if I want to put my membership on hold til things get better thatโs fine but oh, I have to come in to do that AND they will still charge me each month. WTH? What kind is customer service is this?? The gym is nice, but their approach to customer service and retention is lacking. You really should consider if losing a client and their potential referrals is worth the hassle you create to collect a $10 cancel fee.

I've been trying to cancel my membership and they continue to take auto payments. I've sent emails, letters and they're still charging my account. They even charged my account when they were shut down for Covid, I'm about over it! I've informed the general manager which he doesn't care to help. Absolutely, disappointed on how they treat their customers/ clients.

I noticed Youfit charged their monthly fee to my account during the Carona lock down, so I call and ask to be refunded for the month. The man on the line insisted (likely fraudulently) that he has no way of refunding me the money without me calling corporate. Instead he suggested, we put my account on hold and use the money as a credit for when I unhold my account.
I come to find out today, a month later, after talking with a very rude girl on the phone, that not only was my account not put on hold, but was charged for another month and the yearly club fee. I told her I wanted to cancel my membership. She claimed the only way cancel is to come in person (I really doubt that) and since I am nowhere near the location today I asked if she could give me the corporate number (so I could maybe talk to someone competent). This woman tells me she doesn't have one for me and that they're just going to continue to charge me fees for a gym I can't go to.
I would recommend this gym to people who like being stolen from and talked down to. They will try to nickle and dime you at every opportunity, stuff like charging for wifi and super overpriced water. Also the colors are tacky and the music is bad.
Wish I could rate something less than 1 stars.

Love this gym; it's clean, visually appealing and enough machines to accommodate everyone. Front desk guys are friendly. Really want to start trying out some of the classes, too!
Update from a few months ago. Guys, seriously? This has got to be the biggest FAIL I have seen since this whole virus blew everything up. Not only did you continue charging people in order to pay your employees, you've been given the green light to open and it's just crickets. Oh, great, ok, a couple locations are open. Nowhere near me and I shouldn't have to go way out of my way after waiting patiently for almost 3 months. No response whatsoever when I've called--phone just rings and rings. From what I can see with your canned responses on facebook, seems like a robot is just providing non-answers to the many members who have questions. What a shame, I used to really love this gym. Gave it 5 stars not too long ago, but I guess the proof is in the pudding.

I upgraded to a lime card, which allows for unlimited bringing of guests. Brought a guest 3 times. Each time, they made my guest stand at the reception area for 5 minutes entering her email, phone number, and etc prior to letting her in. What makes it even more infuriating is the fact that the tablets into which guests are forced to enter their information is so cheap and unresponsive, you have to tap each tiny key on the keyboard several times in order to get a response. Twice, I had to run back to the car to get my reading glasses so that I could help my guess enter information into the tablet. This left both me and my guess shaken and rattled. It took the fun out of the experience.
I told them that had they notified me that they would intentionally make it this difficult to bring a guest, I would not have purchased the lime membership. I thereupon canceled the limecard. They charged me a cancellation fee. This is bad business.
IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER'S RESPONSE BELOW, here are my comments: There are many ways for you to account for guests. You picked the most arduous. This leads people to infer that you do so to intentionally make it difficult for members to utilize the very service they have purchased.
For example, your competitor, Planet Fitness, tracks guests by swiping their driver's licenses. Guests there enter info into a real keyboard ONCE; thereafter, they swipe their driver's license. If you're not equipped for swiping licenses, the least you can do is simplify the process. Use a real keyboard rather than an unresponsive cheap mini tablet. Make guests enter one piece of info rather than multiple. Why do you need two sets of phone numbers and an email to be entered EVERYTIME when a single telephone number would suffice? If you cannot answer this, then I would have to infer that the only reason is to intentionally make it difficult so as to discouraged members from bringing guests.

My rant about Youfit and the sales and management. Worst gym ever. They do not disclose what you are signing what they are locking you into and then lie about what you verbally agreed too. Shame on me for not asking for a written copy. Rudy is a liar of a sales person and Anthony and Lisa the managers apparently have no morals either when it comes to honesty and good customer service
