I REPEAT DO NOT COMMIT TO A CONTRACT UNLESS READ CAREFULLY. Don’t be fooled, it may be cheap but it will cost you a lot more in the end. I had multiple personal trainers there and they were not good at all, very unprofessional except one. Canceling the membership was frustrating. There were times ive seen some equipments that were poor quality. I forgot to mention that There was a cockroach. Barely any air conditioning. Love the atmosphere, the staff were great. but Overall this gym could have been the best if they- specifically tim, the manager, was honest and not money hungry. And if things were cleaner. I forgot to make a review since a long time. Glad i made it. Tim will reply with the same message again with how the process works but same story same ole results. No solution but give him more money.

BEWARE - ZONE FITNESS HAS FORGOTTEN THE VERY REASON THEY EXIST IS TO SERVE US THE CONSUMER, NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

In a competitive gym industry where customer service and pricing transparency should be the standard, Zone Fitness falls glaringly short. The owner or manager, Timothy Forrest, seems far more invested in tacking on hidden “junk fees” than actually delivering value to members.

Despite claiming that their “rates reflect the quality and services provided,” my experience was anything but premium. Important membership terms were not disclosed BEFORE SIGNING UP, and canceling my membership has turned into a drawn-out and frustrating ordeal. Requests were delayed, denied, and met with excuses—classic bait-and-switch tactics which continue to leave the matter unresolved.

Bottom line: do yourself a favor and avoid this gym. There are plenty of other fitness centers that genuinely value their members and don’t jeopardize their reputation for a few extra dollars.

I've been going to Zone for quite a while. I stopped during the covid pandemic and started training at home, but I have been back for about a year. I never experienced issues with the start up or stopping as I see some of these people reviewing. I say that "everything is relative to the person giving the review."
I have been in the gym for most of my life and Zone is a very decent gym. I train as if it was my own personal gym, and the staff never bothers me unless I ask for something.
Cost is extremely reasonable, gym is always clean, people are great, and I'm not in lines waiting on equipment.
I put on my headphones and train... what else do you want?

My husband cancelled the membership years ago. It was a hassle because we moved but you still have to go to the location to cancel. So we called and told them that we have moved and wanted to cancel the membership, they told us to write a letter and send to them and we did. My husband has been going to this gym for a while, and I joined a few months ago. I'm not a gym person, and I didn't know much about how to use the equipment. I decided to join a month special and hired a personal trainer. Latroy is super sweet, knowledgeable, and very professional. I felt really comfortable working him. He took his time to listen to my needs and planned a series of exercises to strengthen the muscles of the back of my knees. In addition, he also taught me various exercises for my upper body and full legs as well. My training is over, but I'm still doing everything on my own, and in just a few months, my knee pain and lower back pain are gone, and I feel stronger, with more energy.

I will start by saying that I got a premium membership in January 2024. Membership that guaranteed me to be able to end my contact whenever I wanted. However, today, February 8, 2024, I arrived at the Gim to cancel my membership and they told me that in order to cancel they have to charge me 28.99 corresponding to a payment that is generated on February 15, something totally illogical, since I am making the request cancellation on the 8th, a week before the next payment (February 15), making it clear that they are withholding that payment against my will. It's frustrating, I invite you to look for another option because it really doesn't make sense to be premium in this Gim. I will make something very clear, I did not verbally attack anyone. You lie (Tim) You were smiling at me and I asked you to have a serious conversation, for me it is not at all pleasant or funny that you charge me an amount unnecessarily, I insist you lie and try to balance the scale in your favor when you know perfectly well that your acting is not professional

I was a member here several years ago and loved the facilities, but after hearing from a friend who was recently given the run around by the owner while trying to cancel, I feel compelled to leave a little warning. This is a great, inexpensive gym, but BEWARE when you attempt to cancel. It took me months of frustration and fees to finally get my membership cancelled, read the stipulations of the contract very carefully and continue to follow up with the very kind and helpful gym staff (not the owner) until they stop charging your account. Great gym, but I recommend avoiding a contract if you can. I wish I had just signed up with one of the bigger brand name gyms down the road to avoid all the hassle.
EDIT: Quick edit to clarify that this was not only my friend's experience, but mine as well. I actually had several phone conversations about my membership at the time and you were just as curt and condescending over the phone as you are in your responses to your negative reviews. I enjoyed my time in your gym, but the time spent trying to get out of it was enough to sour my overall experience. Sorry it seems this aspect of the gym has not changed.

Love this gym! Huge gym with plenty of space and plenty of machines. Everything is always clean and well maintained. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Great variety of machines and weights with multiples of the most popular ones. Even at peak hours it’s easy to get in whatever workout I’m trying to do that day.

Such a shame this gym is so money hungry.I really enjoyed going to this gym until I had to cancel my membership. I Paid first and last month when I signed up. Then I paid a 30 day cancellation fee in June 2023 which pushed me to September 2023 “conveniently” when my annual fee was due. I was never told when canceling my membership that I would be still a “member “ until September. Nor would I be charged an annual fee for a gym that I haven’t attended in over a year. Therefore I had to pay the $50 for nothing. Spoke to the owner and said he’s credit it to the account and give me the months for free if I come back…

I love Zone Fitness. My YouFit closed so I checked out a couple gyms near me and as soon as I walked in, Tim, the owner, greeted me and showed me around. As a senior, it was a great deal for me. The machines are nice, they have trainers, weights, everything you need for a great workout. Not crowded at all. I've even bumped into two of my old colleagues there. Treadmills have TVs with ear plugs so that makes boredom a bit easier...LOL. I just wish Tim would put a water bottle filler in. Otherwise Zone is AWESOME!

Be carful with this place; they charge you annual fees also cancelation fees, credit card fees and you have to give 30 days notice if you are leaving. On the top of that if you leave and your annual membership is due in a week or 10 days, they don’t care, they will charge you the annual fees even though you are not going to be a member anymore.

Awesome new gym, equipments are brand new and great quality. Owner is a regular and is extremely friendly. They have personal trainers and group training at very reasonable price on top of your $10 or so monthly membership. It's relatively new so there are never a shortage of equipment. We train with LA Troy who is the best trainer in town. Highly recommended

This review is for you Tim Forrest. Good gym if you are a beginner. Lack of equipment and is small, you get what you pay for. PLEASE READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY. They charge a $10 cancellation fee upon cancellation. This is NOT a no commitment gym, even though it is advertised as such. Once you sign their contract they lock you in for 3 months so that they can include the nonrefundable annual fee if you cancel early. Smart consumers can see the owner’s bias towards positive reviews and criticism towards unfavorable reviews. I have been a member of this gym and choose to be confidential from harassment. Please consider the Esporta across the street, it’s well worth your time and investment rather than dealing with these crooks.

It is obvious that fraudster Forrest has a hard time dealing with negative reviews. It’s okay, elementary physics tells us two negatives don’t attract. Mr. Forrest was right about what his gym has to offer. However, other gyms including Esporta offers all that he has to offer and much more. Mr. Forrest is correct about Zone Fitness offering a monthly membership and the fact that other clubs have an annual fee. However, what Mr. Forrest fails to realize from my previous review and others before me is that he is not transparent about the strings attached to signing up, it is obvious from what his REAL customers have to say. Maybe these negative reviews are too REAL for Mr. Forrest to accept, a small gym owned by a small minded man. Best of luck to you.

This is a great gym! First, it is the cleanest gym of which l have been a member. Second, the staff is friendly and helpful. You can ask them to help you with a piece of equipment and they are there to help and give tips. Third, l do not feel self conscious....l feel that l can work out without the rest of the people and staff judging me. Finally, after letting my body go for over 3 years, l decided to get a trainer. We went in person 30 days prior to our contract ending (as we were told to do) so we wouldn't incur extra fees and we were still charged $85.00 just because we cancelled. Once you finish your contract they charge you for a monthly fee along with a ridiculous cancellation fee. Make sure you look at your contract before signing up with them. I chose to pay more monthly to not have a contract and to be able to cancel whenever I wanted which they said I could do when I signed up. Zone Fitness is my absolute FAVORITE gym I have ever been to! I was a member at LA Fitness until they closed for construction and I was so grateful to move to ZONE! They have new machines, very clean workout area, very clean locker rooms, tons of classes, genuinely friendly and helpful staff and always a have plenty of equipment for members so no waiting an hour for a machine or weight area. They are extremely understanding as well I was injured about a year ago and they allowed me to transfer my membership to my mother at no extra cost. They made it so simple and genuinely wished me well on my injuries. Once I was better I went straight back and got another contract which is only month to month w a 30 cancellation notice and during that cancellation month you can STILL ATTEND THE FACILITY and I absolutely love and appreciate that option. I pay 20 dollar a month and I can bring a guest every time I attend if I would like and have use of the massage chair anytime which is so helpful on my muscles after a good workout. I also live about a minute away which is so convenient, they are located near a gas station as well so if you need coffee or an energy drink to get you going it's right there and also convenient if you're forgetful like myself and forget your water. I seriously cannot express how much I love being a Zone member, if you're looking for a great gym this is definitely the best choice!

Used this gym since they open (ok, a couple of months after they opened). Place was always kept clean and tidy. Great front staff :) unfortunately moving away and will miss this place. Highly recommend this gym. Best deal in town.

This place is a huge scam.

I was an active member here for three years. Not only as a member, but I've taken some personal training boxing classes as well here. Unfortunately due to life events, I was going to let my membership expire for a few months at least until I knew more about my future. If I was still in the area after all this current indecision in my life and some decisions were made (mainly due to living arrangements/location), I was planning on coming back to Zone and re-signing for another year.

My one-year contract expires 6/12/19. In March or April of this year, I spoke to one of the front desk associates about what I needed to do to let it expire and she said to let them know within 30 days of its expiration. Easy enough.

So late May this year, I spoke to the front desk associate about letting it expire. I didn't expect any issues, I was always in good standing with this fitness facility and I just expected to fill out some paperwork. Boy was I wrong. At that time, the front desk associate I spoke to said I would need to pay a $25 cancellation fee. A fee for an expiring contract that I financially-fulfilled in full? What? I told the associate that it couldn't be right and he told me to speak to Tim, the owner. Okay, whatever, I gave him my phone number and waited for Tim to call back. He didn't call. He claimed to have e-mailed me. I just went back and searched my e-mail of my G-mail account (which I believe is the e-mail they have on file), and don't see anything. I can't 100% for sure say that he didn't e-mail me as it is possible that it got stuck in my spam folder and deleted, though.

I finally got around to calling them today and after speaking to the front desk associate, who said Tim was on a conference call, I finally got him to call me back. And the news was worse. No, there wouldn't need to be a $25 cancellation fee, but I would have to cover the next month's billing charge PLUS the annual membership assessment fee of $42.78 if I did want to simply let the contact that I financially fulfilled expire. Yes, I would have to pay over $50 ($42.78 + 10-15 monthly fee + taxes) to be let out of a contract that is fully paid for and so called "expiring" on 6/12/19. He said I "should have known" about this, even though his front-desk employees told me to tell them 30 days or less before date of expiration. He did offer to "waive cancellation fees" in the future, but that doesn't really solve the issue at hand.

Let me make myself clear. I have no problem paying annual membership fees. I did so for years as a member. But if I want to let my contract expire to think about my personal future, I shouldn't be forced to pay NEXT YEAR's annual membership dues for a gym I wouldn't be a part of. This is crazy!

I think this is very shoddy business practices and uses legal fine print to screw over loyal members. Ethical businesses do NOT need to this. A fitness facility I once thought was good and stood up behind morale ethics is nothing more than a penny-grubbing business.

Avoid this place unless you want to wind up throwing $50+ figuratively down the drain at the end of your contract.

My advice if you're currently a member: get EVERYTHING in writing. Three months before your contract expires, E-MAIL the club and ask them how to proceed to letting your contract expire if that's how you want to go. Because that's what I did in March/April of this year, except I did that in person. And unfortunately for me, in person verbal communications don't have any weight apparently.

Beware....they charge your account even after you send them cancellation notice. They state they never received it. They will charge you 25.00 for cancellation on month to month basis. It states that I agree to pay the non-refundable annual membership fee equal to $__4_1_._7_3__ one (1) time per year beginning __0_5_/_0_1_/2_0_1_7___, and on the same date of each year thereafter, for as long as I am an active member with Zone Fitness Clubs. The annual fee is subject to change. So even thought I have not been an active member for over a year they still charge you annual membership fee. To me active member means that you visit the location and use the equipment

It's alright. They have a good variety of machines but the services they offer are a bit pricy. Another good thing, is they are never full so it ia easy to get the machine or equipment you want.

Honestly this place is a ripoff stay away from it. At first things were going extremely well but after we decided to end the membership after the 1 year more money was being charged. Even after we went and signed the paperwork and payed $80 to cancel everything and were told that no mo more would be deducted, not even a few weeks later over $200 was taken out of an account. Make sure you read every word on the paperwork before you sign it but if it’s possible refrain from attending this gym.

I just want to explain Zones "No contract". They say no contract, pay as you go...this is false advertisement! I joined this gym when it first opened because if the "no contract". Well, a few months ago I was injured in a car accident and was told I can't work out right now. I go and cancel my membership and am told there is a $25 cancellation fee and I have to pay the next 30 days $16ish. So, I said that sounds allot like a contract, they called it an agreement. Watch out for Zone Fitness' agreement, it a slick way if not calling it a contract.

It’s a ripoff! They advertise $10 a month, but when you go in you have to sign a one year contract so you are stuck for the entire year. I told them to cancel my membership because I no longer needed it and they said ok. I kept getting aut-deducts from my checking account. I called them again and they told me I had to come to the location and sign a form to cancel the membership. I made a special trip in person to cancel the membership and they presented me with an $80 plus bill and said if I didn’t pay it they would continue to make deductions from my account and report me to the credit bureaus. I even spoke to Tim the owner and he couldn’t have cared less. It’s a trap and will cost you a lot to leave!

We just started going to the gym, but it has been one of the fairest on pricing with some of the nicest equipment. I would definitely recommend the gym to anyone who is just starting out and is looking for a home. Free weights are somewhat limited, so make sure if that's what you're going for to go in the office hours

totally unhappy with this gym very loud hip hop rap music with vulgar lyrics so bad i had to quit going. on top of that my husband is moving out of the country i called to end his membership only to find out he had to pay the whole year something that was not mentioned when he signed up. but wait there is more he couldn't get in to quit and even though he never worked out there after i called to quit for him. so we had to pay 133.75 to end the contract all totaled 176.55.for a 2 month 10.00 a month membership.

They constantly clean this facility which is a huge plus in my book! The group fitness classes are intense but so worth it! All of the equipment are new! I've been going here for 8 months now and I genuinely love it! The staff are super friendly! I highly recommend this place!

I’ve been going to Zone Fitness since last October and I love it!! The staff members are always so nice and willing to help. There are plenty of machines and the place is kept very clean. There are different monthly payment plans...all of which are very reasonably priced. I actually look forward to going to the gym!!

This is by far one of the best workout facilities in the area. All the machines and free-weights you could ask for, kept in great shape and very clean. The staff/trainers are fantastic, and really want to see you reach your fitness goals. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone that is looking to get into better shape, or keep up with their current progress. 5 stars!

Be very careful of sign up and cancellation fees. Regret ever signing up, honored paying the contract I signed even though circumstances changed that I maybe went a dozen times for the entire year. It's all about getting you to sign up for many services as they can. Then if you need to cancel, here comes more fees...just a bad way to do business from a fellow business owner. Gone are the days of treating people as you want to be treated.
