Meric is an amazing instructor as are the other instructors there at Akasha. She has a beautiful studio and the calming, peaceful energy is palpable the moment you walk in. I always leave there after a class feeling SO much better than when I first arrived. Thank you, Meric for all that you bring to your studio and all that you have to offer!

I've had the absolute pleasure of practicing yoga and exploring self-care at Meric's studio off and on for the past 3 years, and I can confidently say it's a truly exceptional space.
Meric, the owner and main teacher, embodies the calm and kindness that radiate throughout the studio. Her gentle presence and genuine connection with her students create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that I look forward to each session.
What truly sets this studio apart is Meric's dedication to holistic well-being. She consistently introduces us to exciting and diverse forms of self-care, from the deeply relaxing sound baths to insightful new age methodologies. The sauna and salt room further enhances the studio's ability to provide a comprehensive wellness experience. Her rotating schedule of excellent yoga, tai-chi, and self-care experts add even more value to the offerings.
If you're looking for a yoga studio that goes beyond the physical practice and offers a nurturing environment for personal growth and self-care, look no further. Meric's studio is a true sanctuary. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

My daughter and I love family yoga at Akasha Studios. It was the highlight of my week when she was an infant! While I wish I could make it to more classes during the week, I love that the studio has so many offerings in addition to yoga like salt cave therapy session and massages to sound healings and staycation retreats. Definitely recommend!

I have been practicing yoga for many years and I have to say there are better yoga studios in the area. The staff here is not very friendly. I wasn’t comfortable with kids running around and it felt more like a day care.

In the spirit of *satya* (honesty), I disclose that I am a teacher at Akasha since March 2024. But I started as a newly post-partum mother a year earlier, bringing my brand-new body and tiny new human to Meric’s Friday morning family yoga class.
I fell in love in the first class. Not only with the spacious, clear energy of the space, but with the high-consciousness empathic human that is Meric. She exudes love and light, and to be near her is to feel lifted. 💛
So, skipping many parts of the story, here we are, over a year later, and I have the happy occasion to be teaching at Akasha and Kidsfull Yoga, under the beautiful umbrella of the lovely soul called Meric. I love you, beautiful friend!
And ps, I bless this page and clear it of any negative energy lingering from the lower vibration voices of the internet. And so it is! 🕯️☀️🪷🫶🏼

Akasha is by far the best yoga studio I have ever been to. Meric the owner is so knowledgeable and friendly. She has created a one of a kind studio.
Akasha is so much more than just a yoga studio. There is a salt room where you can take a private yoga class or just spend an hour on your own enjoying some you time. The benefits are amazing. Not to mention the monthly meditation classes that are held within the salt cave which is an incredible experience.
The studio also offers monthly sound therapy and yoga. You will feel relaxed and rejuvenated after this session. It will leave you wanting to come back for more.
I can’t say enough about this amazing studio that Meric has created. You will have to go and experience it for yourself. Enjoy the journey.

I'm a beginner at yoga and starting coming here because of my sister. I have stressful weeks and enjoy the yin yoga on Friday evenings with Chelsea. The perfect way to end a stressful week and reset for the next. Chelsea is a great instructor and I really like how she does personal adjustments to help go into a deeper stretch. The classes are relaxing, but also challenging which I really like. I haven't tried the other classes yet, but definitely want to try out the vinyasa flow & other classes when my schedule opens up. Also a very cute, clean space that I really like!

I love the rejuvenating space I find at Akasha! From the yoga classes to the sauna to the salt cave and special events, this studio has been part of my healing journey. I also love it that there are kids classes, family classes, and a summer camp for kids so my son can participate as well.

Akasha yoga & salt therapy is by far the best yoga studio I have ever been to. It is so much more than just yoga. It is a place to go for healing and self-care. I am so grateful to have met Meric. She has taught me so much. At Akasha I have learned meditation, tapping, breathwork as well as different forms of yoga. I have also learned about aromatherapy through many of her workshops that are offered here. Meric is a wealth of information and I want to continue learning from her. She has brought so much peace into my life. There are so many other yoga studios in the area, but I am willing to drive 30 minutes to Akasha because it is so special. Akasha and Meric have truly changed my life for the better and are one of a kind.

Beautiful studio in a great location. We visited the salt therapy room today and it was so beautiful and relaxing. My children all really enjoyed their time. Every part of this studio is intentional and well thought. My kids refuse to use public restrooms but this one was so cute and clean! We can’t wait to come back.

I’ve been doing yoga and meditation for just over 17 years. It’s always hard to find authentic, non westernized yoga studios until now. The authenticity of Meric, the owner, and the instructors/individuals she has come in to do classes is unmatched. It feels like coming back home, to your center. Where you can relax and take in the goodness while also feeling safe to be vulnerable to allow yourself to grow. Love this place!!!!

I have been a member at Akasha for over one year and joining was one of the best decisions I have made for my health and wellness. The owner, Meric, has the most beautiful heart and soul. She is one of the kindest and most sincere yoga instructor. She is an encyclopedia of health and wellness and I am so excited for everything I will continue to learn from her. We recently got back from our yoga retreat and it was life changing! Our mountain retreat was incredibly magical and I am still feeling the long lasting effects, even though our yoga retreat was over a month ago. If you can’t decide which local yoga studio to join do not hesitate and come join us at Akasha!

I found Meric through SAMC before she had her own studio and had a wonderful experience. I decided to reach out to her again along with several other Pilates studios to help relieve my pelvic pain I was experiencing during my ninth month of pregnancy. Of all the studios I called, she was the most prompt to answer my questions and supply me with information. I decided to purchase a package of a prenatal classes. I have never done anything like this before. I would say this was one of the best purchases I’ve ever made in my life! I was nine months pregnant with two kids at home. My sister and her three kids had just moved into our home. I honestly can’t say enough good things about her, but I will try. I definitely needed these classes. They were a blessing to me in my life. After the first class, I felt like a different person from when I walked in, she accommodated me in every way due to my limited mobility, it seemed completely natural and effortless for her to recognize my need and help me to get comfortable. It is obvious to me from my experience, watching her interact with her clients and their children, and at times teaching our class while helping other clients that she was called to do this. She has a gift for this. If it wasn’t apparent to me how therapeutic her classes were, they definitely were when I was in the hospital getting an epidural and a C-section. Every time I started to feel scared I felt transported back to her class and started focusing on my breathing. I have never had that experience before. It helped me tremendously, and I felt very grateful to have had this experience. I will definitely be coming back and I wish her nothing but tremendous success with her business.

For me, Akasha Yoga & Salt Therapy focuses on what is most important: the body and the mind. My favorite class to attend is Sound Therapy Yoga. This class is lead by the owner, Meric. She is one of the most wholesome, down-to-earth people you will ever meet, and the way she leads a class is unmatched.

From summer camps, to birthdays, pregnancies to mommy and me classes, and couples time to family yoga, Meriç has blessed each member of my family in some way (there are 8 of us!) My fourth pregnancy was my best and easiest! I can fully attribute it to the addition of Meriç’s yoga classes that were able to help me learn and prep my body in ways that I hadn’t previously. Her knowledge and passion far exceeded any expectations and place her above and beyond when comparing instructors for both us as adults as well looking for an amazing practice for our children. We are beyond grateful to have Akasha Yoga Studios in all of our lives 🙏🙏🙏

Taking Yoga classes from Meric have been such a Blessing!…She is compassionate, patient, knowledgeable and has such a beautiful spirit that allows you to relax and be your true self….Her classes not only support physical well-being but also mental and emotional well being through self awareness and creating an atmosphere that allows you to get to know your true authentic self! …I’m a beginner in yoga and I take the individual sessions and some of the group classes here and there. I initially started out with a lot of stiffness, inflexibility and pain…Yoga with Meric has helped me tremendously in those areas… She individualized the sessions to my limitations and needs and she always says “take your time, don’t rush “….I appreciate that so much…I love the progress that I’ve made and look forward to many more sessions with you Meric…Thanks 🙏🏾..from Nylanda 😊
