I have been practicing at Atlanta Yoga since 2008. This yoga studio offers an array of classes for all levels. The instructor, Elizabeth, tailors and provides attention to each class based on practice level. The environment is very inviting an allows you to define a new yoga practice and grown existing. There is an array of practice levels arranging from basic practitioner to advance (2nd - 3rd Series).

This is a really amazing studio that I have been going to for about 2 years to learn Ashtanga Yoga. The class sizes are small which allow the teachers to really focus on the students and make sure you are learning the poses (asanas) correctly.

There are classes available for all levels and with practice and dedication and the structured direction at Atlanta Yoga you will be able to learn this classical practice of yoga, which will bring more awareness to the natural rhythm of your body, and increase your flexibility and strength.

As a long time yoga class attendee I came to Atlanta Yoga new to Ashtanga. Looking for a teacher training course that taught the art of yoga by viewing it in a way that fosters connection to oneself and to others, bring health and vitality to the mind, body, and spirit, all in an environment that was healthy and not looking for the commercial/ popular bent. Atlanta Yoga is great and has exceeded my expectations as I learn to understand yoga; it has provided sound practices, thoroughness, and a community that is consistent and positive. And as a mental health professional Elizabeth has the added bonus being apart of this world too. So if you are a mental health professional and want to add yoga to your clinical work; Atlanta Yoga is where you want to begin learning and developing as a yoga professional.

I found my yoga family at Atlanta Yoga when I moved here 6 years ago. I’ve been practicing Ashtanga for over 16 years and since practicing with Elizabeth Rogers, my practice has transitioned to new levels. Now only has it enhanced by muscle strength and flexibility, but more importantly deepen my mind and body awareness. I challenge yoga practitioners to experience Ashtanga and reap the benefits of a more enhanced life.

Been with the studio for seven years. The focus is always on the quality of the movement. This is probably the most classical and least commercial studio. The studio had several programs. I recommend Ashtanga as it is of the highest quality even if it is a bit difficult. Most of students I know remain with this practice and the teacher (E.Rogers) and frankly I see very few other alternatives in Atlanta if you really want to learn yoga and not just talk about it. This is a place for yoga instructors to learn; no shortcuts or easy tricks - it just takes time. The studio has moved from 9th street to Kings Plow. It could perhaps benefit from a larger community group focused on classical yoga. This is especially true because advanced Ashtanga community is small and instructors tend to leave to set up their own studios.

Atlanta Yoga "Rocks". I've been practicing at Atlanta Yoga for 15 years and the journey has been one of wonder. I started as a student looking for a place to release the stress and tensions of my day and I just kept on practicing. I'm now a RYT-500 teacher at Atlanta Yoga. Practicing at Atlanta Yoga with so many dedicated yogis, teachers and students has opened up an awareness to my body and mind. I'm really thankful to be around an environment were the teachers teach to your body and share their knowledge and compassion for yoga.
