I’ve only been coming to this gym for a few weeks now and I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience so far. As a novice to Muay Thai, I’ve really enjoyed training with Coach Lam since he has shown a lot of patience teaching me the basics but continues to push me past my limits. The gym is also large and always really clean and organized. I’m really glad I signed up and committed to this experience and I think I picked the perfect gym to start my Muay Thai training.

Bangkok Fitness has been an amazing facility. The atmosphere is inclusive and everyone is courteous and respectful. The mats, pads and bags are well kept and clean. I'm grateful for the guidance of all the coaches. Their experience shows in the structure of each class. There is a good balance between foundational techniques and advanced skills, and physical conditioning and mental discipline. I feel driven to push myself past my own limitations and look forward to growth and self-empowerment; sharpening my skills and improving my fitness.

Great gym with great trainers. I’ve had so much fun and learned so much over the last year of going there and can confidently say they treat everyone equally as far as learning opportunities go and you won’t find better Muay Thai in the Atlanta area.

The best -and only- gym if you want to receive real Muay Thai kickboxing training or if you are looking for some serious high-intensity training for fitness/fun. The owner (Master Khunpon) and coach Lamsongkram ("Lam") are former Thai World Champions and it shows. I've attended kickboxing classes for close to a decade at different gyms, in different states, and this one is by far the BEST. Kickboxing is an incredibly fun sport, so don't let it deter you if you've never done it before. If you stick with it, your fitness will become evident. Everyone at the gym is so friendly and welcoming, and they've accommodated some private lessons for my young children too. The mats are kept clean. I attend only the fitness kickboxing classes with coach Lam or coach Devin due to my schedule, but they offer a great combination of bag and pad work, calisthenics and small hand weights every now and then. All I need to stay in shape! However, if you are looking to spar with others you'll need to join the Muay Thai classes.

This gym is an absolute gem for anyone seeking the true art of Muay Thai. The trainers here are not only highly skilled fighters but also exceptional teachers. They have a rare ability to transmit the essence of traditional Muay Thai — from precise techniques and fight strategy to the cultural respect and discipline that are at the heart of the sport.
Every session is structured, motivating, and filled with valuable details that elevate your skill level, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced fighter. What makes this place truly special is the passion the trainers have for sharing their knowledge — you can feel their commitment to preserving the authenticity of Muay Thai in every class.
If you’re looking for more than just a workout and want to immerse yourself in the real, traditional Muay Thai experience, this is the place to be.

Broken limbs? They don't care, you're required to pay.
I am a 36-year old woman, who has been consistently boxing since 2021. When I moved to Atlanta in 2024, I searched for a boxing gym that aligned with my fitness goals and relationships between boxers and coaches. I thought I found that with Bangkok. The staff signed me up for a year membership. I had no problems dedicating to a year since I was familiar with the sport. I unexpectedly broke my leg in October 2024. The break completely severed the ankle from the leg. I was in pins for a month, then required surgery to apply six anchors on each side of my legs, and several casts, followed by a boot with a cane, and now a boot. I am not allowed to walk long distances, drive or do sports. I emailed Bangkok's management to cancel my membership. I provided all X-Rays, my Orthopedic Surgeon's letterhead stating I was not allowed to do sports, and called the facility itself. They are pressing me to financially fulfill the year-membership, asking that in order to cancel I have to pay over $800. They're taking advantage of members who have experienced life-changing injuries. I feel bamboozled, and my desire to provide cancellation documentation to provide proof of my injury is not good enough to cancel my membership. Please change your policy, and please cancel my membership! Bangkok has lost me as a fellow boxing enthusiast, and I abhor that this is how Bangkok's management is treating their members.

I feel very fortunate Bangkok Boxing is here in Atlanta. I had been training muay thai at another gym since 2023 until they abruptly closed a month ago. I loved that gym and did not think I would find another one like it…I was wrong. This is a top tier facility that has it all: excellent instruction, very welcoming, super clean and an accomodating schedule. I am very happy!

I’m extremely disappointed with this experience. When I signed up, I was told I had a 6-month contract. Now I find out I’m being charged for 12 months at $179 per month. When I questioned this, I was told I agreed to a 12-month contract, but after reviewing the terms, it turns out there were only 12- and 24-month options all along. This lack of transparency is unacceptable. Customers deserve clear, honest communication upfront—not surprises down the line. Do better.

Definitely one of the best martial arts and workout facilities/community. Started here just seeking for something to stay active and I’ve been here over a year. Muay Thai is the martial art that I probably knew the least amount of information about but have come to enjoy the most because of the team here. The owner is hands on, the team of instructors is friendly and the facility is clean and welcoming. Would definitely recommend 10/10 times.

I joined this gym on July 10, 2024 after I finally recovered from a herniated disc on my lower back and gained an extreme amount of weight with the intention of getting back into the shape I was in when I did western boxing pre injury.
The atmosphere and quality of the instructors were beyond my wildest dreams. Master Khunpon, Coach CJ, & Kru Stephen have instructed the classes I have attended and all have emphasized technique, practice, and conditioning in order to best exercise the art of Muay Thai.
I currently attend the All Levels classes and the instructors ensure that the techniques taught are applicable to a day one rookie to fighters who have practiced muay thai for almost a decade. There hasn’t been one class where an instructor hadn’t given me one on one instruction during drills.
This gym is perfect for the individual who wishes to get back into shape, or the athlete that wants to take their endurance training to the next level, to the world’s next muay thai world champion!

If you’re looking for authentic Muay Thai training in Atlanta, this is the place to go. The owner, Khunpon, is a retired professional Muay Thai fighter from Thailand, bringing with him authentic coaching expertise. All of the coaches are extremely knowledgeable on proper technique and will correct any mistakes you might have starting out. Additionally, all of the members here are very nice and will give you tips as well. It is really a great, supportive community all around!
Note: I only train Muay Thai here so I can’t speak to the Boxing and BJJ programs.

Be warned of the billing practices, use ABC billing which is horrendous when you try to cancel. With a Doc notes and during COVID when gyms were closed (lockdown, this gym still billed members. Now three years later I am still getting debt collectors trying to collect after this was resolved back in 2020.

The trainers in fitness kickboxing class are awesome! The gym could use some renovations, no air flowing through the gym it is extremely hot when your working out, definitely has a sweaty gym smell do not expect the smell of a clean sanitized gym, the equipment such as the medicine balls has sand coming out of them, punching bags are ok just warn out some are bent in some are hard which makes kicking them tough on your foot. Seems they focus more on Muay Thai they put a lot focus on that class. The pay here my opinion is not worth it! If I signed up for a personal trainer maybe i would feel a little different, but I only signed up for fitness kickboxing. To sign up here it is not a “membership” it is a contract as if you are buying equipment from this place. You either do 6 months or 12 months for whatever class you sign up for. You CAN NOT get out of this contract easily! no matter what has changed in your life. So please do not make the mistake of signing your hard earned money away unless you are willing to buyout the contract and deal with a very rude management via email with no name if you cannot see the contract through its full term. The staff is nice, unfortunately just not a good fit for me.

We absolutely love Bangkok Kickboxing. To be trained by world champions like Khunpon S Dechkampu and his team is amazing. The trainers know exactly how to push you to do your best. The facilities are spacious, clean and have exactly what you need to train. Both my kids and me were a part of the kickboxing family. My daughter (15) loved it and joined again post covid. They sanitise all the workout areas and take the necessary precautions. I love the fact that not only do you get a workout but you (and the kids) learn the art of self defence. You get to choose from just a regular kickboxing workout to Professional Muay Thai Training and even Boxing. I highly recommend Bangkok Boxing Fitness.

Facilities - the building is old and smells of sweat. I do think that the building is due for renovation. However given that most of the clientele here are guys - the building and sweat probably doesn't bother them. There are definitely better gyms out there with better facilities including a nicer bathroom.
Training - I know ku pong is a great boxer but he is not a good trainer. Instead of explaining - he simply says "look". I don't think this is a great training experience at all. If I could have done it correctly, by "looking"
Why am I not watching youtube videos but instead physically at a gym instead?
Membership cancellation - When I signed up, the sales rep made it sounded so easy to cancel the membership. However when I moved out of state, the cancellation process was a nightmare and they required you to give one full month of notice which begins the next billing cycle. So essentially, be prepared to pay 2 months worth of gym fees when you don't even get to use it. Not to mention the tons of calls/ emails/ mails that the gym sends to chase for payment. It is a nightmare that I never have to deal with.
In hindsight - I wished I have never joined the gym.

There is absolutely no doubt: here you will have the best Muay Thai training in Atlanta, maybe the entire state. Khunpon is an experienced fighter and coach. Coming straight from Thailand, can’t get more real than that. He is connected to several of the best fighters in the world, and they come from Thailand to the USA to teach seminars at BBF. No other gym in Atlanta has that privilege. I was instructed by the likes of Samart Payakaroon (regarded as the Best p4p fighter in Muay Thai of all time, 6x fighter of the year), Kaensak Sor Ploenjit (2x fighter of the year) and many others. DEFINITELY worth checking out.

The atmosphere is great and everyone there is very welcoming and helpful. The equipment is clean and very high quality. They have a full gym (squat racks, barbells, dumb bells, kettlebells) if you want to get in a lift before/after your class as well. I also bought my gloves from the gym as well and they are extremely high quality, hand made, full leather, with a four inch Velcro strap for the best wrist support/stability while training. This is not easy to share I am a Marine Vet w/severe PTSD (MST) & I can not express in words how much Master Kru/“coach” Khunpon helps me...when nothing else has. Coach Khunpon makes it comfortable to train i am big far not a pro 😂 no judgment but he does require commitment and a no quit attitude. I am angry from my past I do not trust many people heck I rarely leave my home however coach Khunpon made a plan custom to MY needs so I could train get out the anger I have held on to in a positive way & I feel safe. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS GYM. Before COVID it was fine. As soon as COVID started it became clear that they didn't care and they were determined to get the money one way or another with no plan to safely reopen or consideration for the fact that it is a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. For the amount of money the membership costs you're MUCH better off going to a traditional and reputable gym. At least that way you will have the facilities and cleaning practices for the price point.
-After updating my credit card information with the gym, they still used the old card and charged me for late/unsatisfied payment.
-After asking how billing would be changed during the shelter in place order (because you know, global pandemic happening) I was given the option to buy out the balance of my membership. This went directly against the contract, but I was sent to the membership third party (ABC Financial) to correct. Only later to find out they charged me for a freeze anyway.
- I was told by ABC financial that they had ceased billing and would not bill anything on until the gym reopened. In actuality they did not stop billing until late April, then opened the gym May 1st (which is something I didn't know until I was suddenly threatened with collections. When I told them there was no communication sent out they advised that they had "posted the reopening on instagram")
-Speaking of collections, I got radio silence from the gym up until they decided to threaten me with collections for not paying something I was told they would not bill me for during a pandemic in the first place. No updated cleaning practices, no new tentative opening date, silence. Then "YOUR ACCOUNT IS OVERDUE AND IF YOU DO NOT CORRECT WE WILL SEND YOU TO COLLECTIONS". I called the gym and left messages, no response. I emailed, I was sent to ABC Financial who then told me "they couldn't do anything, the only handle billing". It's soooooo disappointing because I used to enjoy going, but it was a slap in the face for my membership to be handled this way. These are confusing times, but all of my other memberships at least gave the impression they understood that COVID-19 creates some apprehension about being in high touch point areas, despite any openings put in place.

Bangkok Boxing is the best place in Atlanta to train in Muay Thai. They got the latest equipment, huge training space and locker rooms. The coaches here are professionals and training under Kru Kunphon is the best part of being here. There are classes for kids and suitable for all levels and they also offer classes for Yoga, BJJ, Boxing and fitness. I recommend everyone to try out the Free Session.

I really enjoyed the kickboxing class I recently took at Bangkok Boxing- Midtown! It was a great mix of cardio, kickboxing and strength training, with a great instructor. The gym was very clean, they had ample parking and the owner, Khunpon, was very attentive in answering all of my questions. I highly recommend checking them out!

Ive been taking the beginner Muay Thai classes for about 8 months. First time ever trying a martial art and my experience has been great so far. Great instructors, good environment and good classmates. The owner is a hall of fame Muay Thai champion and teaches the beginner classes. There’s also a current top 5 Muay Thai fighter that also teaches beginner and intermediate level classes. You probably won’t find another gym with this high of caliber fighters teaching classes in Atlanta.

I would like to express my gratitude to have such a great place to train stand-up such as Muay Thai and Western Boxing. It’s probably the only place you can train with true masters as Khunpon and Jo, who are from Thailand and have the credibility to teach and learn from. They are a wealth of knowledge and battle tested. I recommend Bangkok Boxing to further your stand-up game or if you are looking just to get in shape.

I don’t normally post comments but this is absolutely a horrible experience with their membership management team. I referred a could of my friends at the very beginning cause I enjoyed the classes. but when I tried to get out of it because my ankles were fractured. Bad attitude and extreme rigid process for membership cancellation. Plus the referral fees they promised were never happened and they mentioned that they don’t have the note. Horrible horrible experience. I would never go back or recommend anyone to come to this place.

If only I could give no stars.
I had the absolute worst experience here.
I don’t think I’ve experienced this level of unprofessionalism, lack of empathy, non-responsiveness, unorganized management and staff ever in life . Their lack of empathy shows that their customers mean absolutely nothing to them other then a wad of cash. I’d advice to stay clear of this place at all costs.
I took a trial kickboxing class and decided to sign up with Bridgette(front desk). The class was great. I specifically told Bridgette that billing at the very beginning of each month was not a great time for me, so we agreed on a specific billing date. A few months in, I happen to look at my account and saw that they were taking out on the 4th of each month. I reached out to Bangkok and I explained what was going on and a male (can’t remember his name) said he’d try and resolve this issue and get back to me. He never did. I called again. No response. I went in to address this with Bridgette and she told me see remembered the exact conversation about billing and was confused as to why they were taking payments out on the wrong date. She gave me the email to management and told me to email them directly. I did just what she asked me but apparently she had given the wrong email address. I finally was given the correct email address and management emailed me one big excuse as to why billing was being taken on the wrong date. No apology, no nothing. Days later, I re-injured my ankle and was unable to continue kickboxing under doctors orders. So i emailed them a letter from my doctor and they told me I’d have to go through ABC financial to get out of my contract. ABC financial stated that my doctors note from my doctor was not sufficient and that I had to have a permeant disability to get out of contract and told me that an ankle injury wasn’t a permeant injury. They said it was what i agreed to in my contract when I signed it. I went to have a look at my contract and realized I was never shown that part of the contract, nor did I sign to it It was completely blank!. Bridgette said that if I needed to get out of contract, that I should just email management and they would work with me when I initially signed up. I was heated! Never was I given this information. Never did I agree to this absurdity. And now you all want to make it near impossible for me to get out of my contract when I’m severely injured but you don’t believe me so who cares, right? To shorten the story a bit, I ended up getting a doctors note saying I had a permanently disabled foot and ankle BUT THEY DIDN’T WANT TO ACCEPT IT because it didn’t say I was permanently disabled but that my ankle and foot was permanently disabled. RIDICULOUS! They finally agreed to let me out of contract but I had to pay $139 for the month of May which I’m not able to use because I have a disabled foot! . I emailed my dismay to management and they completely ignored me! So unprofessional! I had plenty of friends who came with me to kickboxing or wanted to join but i can’t wait to share with everyone how terrible of a gym this week is. Never again!

I took Muay Thai a few years ago and really fell in love with it. I was excited to see a local gym offering classes and seeming to specialize in it with strong coaching talent...however upon reaching out trying to understand pricing, they said they would only discuss fees and pricing after I came in for a free class. I understand sales and the importance of face to face client interaction, but they would not offer any transparency. The idea of going to a class and dealing with the post work ATL rush hour for a free 5:30 class to potentially find out afterwards that the pricing doesn't offer a good ROI is rather unreasonable, I think. I have lived in several states where I've joined gyms of different disciplines and all have been transparent regarding their pricing structure. This is the first gym I've encountered that basically held their pricing details hostage. It's like if a car dealership said "We won't tell you the price of the vehicle until you come drive it". It felt as if they wanted me in person to try and hard close me or just didn't value my time, as that's all I was trying to figure out, that if their pricing would reflect an equal partnership of my time and money.
Edit: in response to the owner. I did call the gym and got no answer. I did however communicate with a gym rep via email and their exact words were "In regards to specific pricing, I cannot share that information with you through email or over the phone." Again, it's unsettling you all are holding your prices hostage until someone comes in to take a class. Some people may very well like the class and have a great experience but still not be able to afford it etc.

I, Joan Mutanyatta-Comar, have been a member at Bangkok Boxing Fitness (Midtown, Atlanta) since November 2018. This place is phenomenal. All the trainers are exceptional: very professional, friendly, positive, encouraging but at the same time they strive to push you to your highest potential. I usually go for training Monday to Friday and sometimes on Saturdays and each day you get a different trainer. This is awesome because you get to do different workouts. The kids have trainers for boxing and kickboxing 5 times a week and my son always looks forward to going for both.
The receptionist has a pleasant personality, is professional and works well with people from different backgrounds. She is always very helpful and informative. She keeps everyone up-to-date with regards to when the place is open or closed.
I truly enjoy being part of this fitness community.

After several months of membership, I'm still having a lot of fun with my Muay Thai classes! As a former athlete, I consider myself physically fit but these classes are kicking my butt. The classes are taught by actual competitive fighters that teach both strategy and techniques. The 1 hour class is very challenging physically and mentally because it's like learning a new sport as an adult. It's also great to have other class participants that are professional fighters too. Everyone is so patient with the beginners like myself. I don't ever plan to compete but I definitely feel like I am better equipped to take down a few people in a bar fight with my new skills! Ha. It's worth the money.

I have wanting to take Kick Boxing and Muay Thai classes for years. My excuse was either no time, funds are short, or I did not have the motivation. I checked out Bangkok Boxing and was very impressed so I decided to take advantage of the free class. After taking the class I was very impresses, the facility was clean and well equipped, staff were polite, and the instructors are very knowledgeable, so I signed up. My first Muay Thai class was taught by Khunpon, although he is a very advanced and accomplished Muay Thai fighter is has the ability to break down the very fundamental movements which I need. I have never taking martial arts before. I plan to get fit, healthy and lose weight. I’ll re visit this feedback in a month to let you know how much weight I loose.

The owner doesn't care to know you as a client let alone the incredible trainers he has employed. The trainers (all brilliant in their passions) are what keeps that place afloat.
Call someone who cares because no one from management will speak to you over the phone:
- I have witnessed the manager blatantly refusing to come to an awaiting customer via phone whilst the baffled front desk wrestles with what to say.
- I have witnessed the manager interrupting a full class to most disrespectfully reprimand a trainer because he wasn't satisfied with the trainers direction. He is without a doubt an ornery dog that hasn't considered the dynamics of fitness and how they have evolved since he was trained- 100 years ago??
Here is my advice, you may still have time to turn it around:
- Open a textbook on Fitness training or take a few classes
- Be nice to your staff- support them
- Consider Class Pass
- Sanitize the mats/pads
- Look how many people have negatively commented on your 3rd party collector ABC- maybe consider another one with better customer service
- call me if you should need any additional suggestions
Truly, the tragedy is what the gym could actually be.

For those having problems with cancellations they obviously didn't read how it needed to be done. because they stipulate everything before they sign up. I used to box, and since I moved to Atlanta I've been looking for an MMA gym to continue/expand my training. I did trials at almost all the MMA gyms in Atlanta, and this one was definitely the best, which is why I chose to get a year long membership here. They have a really nice facility and great trainers that give you a ton of personal instruction (and the class sizes are smaller than some of the bigger gyms, so you get a lot more one on one learning). They are also very technical, so you know you're learning good technique in this gym. In my first classes, the instructors continued to fine tune my movements until they were correct, before moving on to learning a new technique. I really appreciated the attention to detail. They also were really understanding, and gave me a great price for my membership. Definitely give this gym a try!

Please be careful with signing up for this Gym. The staff and classes are top notch, but their business practices are very shady. I attended the gym for 2 years and was not able to attend classes after moving. A year and half later I received a notice from a company called First Credit claiming that I owe over 600 dollars for non payment of the membership. Mind you, this membership bills directly from my debit acct. I called Bangkok boxing to resolve the issue and they claimed to have no power to address the debt collector. Needless to say I am not the only one to have experienced the issue. I this gym offers good classes but I don't like the fact that they automatically renew your membership on a month to month basis after your contract is up. I've been going since about the new year of 2015 and think it is absolutely great. On my first class, the instructor (He's no longer there) politely told me, "Look, this is gonna be difficult. If you need a break, feel free." For some reason I thought he was just saying that. Absolutely not. I needed a break, many breaks. The workouts are intense, as they should be, but the results come quickly. The classes are typically split between doing combinations on a bag and then doing plyo / body weight exercises.
The kickboxing instructors are Will, James, Victor and Thai Jo. Each has their own style for running the class and they're all great instructors. Highly recommend coming here if you want a workout that doesn't involve just throwing a few dumbbells around. And they've got multiple types of classes for those who are looking to develop their skills in a particular martial arts form in addition to dropping weight and boosting stamina.
