Big Ursa Fitness provides results-based personal fitness training for people of all types of lifestyles and backgrounds. Training everyone from young athletes to newly retired folks who are looking to make their second half of life better than the first. Experienced in training around health complications and creating a successful environment for anyone who wants to make a meaningful lifestyle change that prioritizes health and wellbeing.

Currently training in person in Fairmount GA and offer online programs catered to your specific goals. Putting emphasis on the "PERSONAL" in Personal Training.

I cannot say enough about Trainer Kyle and Big Ursa Fitness. He’s not only a certified trainer, but also certified in nutrition and strength training. If you have a problem area he knows how to isolate it and build up around it until it’s functional again. He personalizes your workouts one on one, and works with you to develop a nutrition plan to help you be successful. He sends personal reminders through the BUF app. to help hold you accountable. It’s the best investment we’ve made for ourselves and our future health.

I’ve been working with Kyle at his gym now since Oct 2023. I’ve never been one to be in the gym or really try. I knew that I would probably start with him and give up so when I started I wasn’t expecting anything much from me BUT THEN one week turned into another week and another then a month to now working on my fourth month. I was incredibly shocked at myself that I’ve stuck to it and wanted to dive in and dig deeper into my health. All the while Kyle teaching me about health and changes I never knew was possible, he makes it easy for me to understand. Kyle showed me that there is more to working out than just working out. He showed me answers to my questions when something wasn’t working out right. With his knowledge, understanding and inspiration he’s given me I slowly learned new things and made changes at home. Those changes inspired my husband to also want to eat better and exercise. Kyle is definitely not like other trainers, he 100% listens, cares and helps you understand the what’s, whys and how’s. I know I wouldn’t have came as far as I have if it wasn’t for him and his knowledge. If your looking for a trainer that focuses on individual health needs Big URSA Fitness is where you need to be.

Kyle was great to work with. He's incredibly realistic and will always put your health first. Kyle helped me find a way to step up my fitness with limited equipment at home during a time where I am just too busy to get to a physical gym. Kyle makes sure that not only your fitness improves but he also gives you the reasoning why his methods work and helps you fully understand your body. As corny as it may sound, I feel so fortunate to have met Kyle with Big Ursa Fitness. He was recommended to me by a neighbor who is also a personal trainer. After having some horrible experiences in the past and being EXCEEDINGLY out of shape, I was extremely nervous to begin.

I started working with Kyle a couple months ago, and already I can see incredible results! We went from literal ground zero with struggling to do the basic movements to adding on weights and building on more complex exercises. He really listens not only to me, adjusting what we do based on how I am feeling and recovering that day, to studying my body and adapting to see me succeed rather than fail. I can already see more muscle tone, endurance, balance, but also just confidence in myself and what my body can do.

So many trainers can be cruel, especially when working with a client who is starting out so overweight and out of shape. He has done nothing but offer encouragement, enthusiasm, kindness, joy, support, and laughter with every step of this journey. I plan on sticking with him well into my “in shape” time as I feel I have found a friend and a very inspirational workout partner to boot.

I will never be able to thank Kyle enough for helping me find myself again.

I’m a Boomer who is hitting 70 this year. I played 3 sports in high school and maintained some form of fitness activity all my life. With age and a desk job, I developed a gut, which wouldn’t go away. I also developed a frozen shoulder on both sides, to the point I could not take off a T-shirt. Physical therapy allowed me to limber them up again, but I was hesitant to get into strength training. Kyle convinced me that my body doesn’t need to break down just because I am chronologically older. He designed a training and nutrition program for me which I have implemented over the last few months. This may sound like hyperbole, but I am lifting more weight now than I did in high school. How? Kyle listened to me and learned about my goals and concerns about certain physical limitations. He identified why I was feeling pain with certain exercises and corrected how I was executing them. However, he did not push me to do something that I didn’t feel I could do at that point in time. His focus has always been on what is specifically best for me. He has been very knowledgeable, humble, motivating, and honest as he has worked with me. He’s been a life changer for me. And, yes, my love handles are almost gone and I can detect some ripples in my stomach.

Kyle is incredibly knowledgeable. you will always leave his sessions with more knowledge. he is great at explaining things. he doesn’t just train you, he teaches you. he makes it clear why you are doing what you are doing. he maps out nutrition in a very understandable way. the best part about Kyle is that he is ALWAYS in a great mood. he is always such a pleasure to be around. he is always positive and uplifting. he’s funny and very smart, but most of all he’s very supportive and a very great person. i highly recommend this business for every style of lifting and exercising.
