Never thought I was a "yoga" person but this is a very different yoga experience. There are people in these classes of all shapes and sizes, from different backgrounds and races but the studio does such a good job at making everyone feel at ease. It doesn't matter if you can do zero poses correctly or all of them done right, the idea to release all burdens the moment you walk in and breathe is the most important thing. This place allows you to go at your own pace without judgement and because the poses are the same each session, you can stop thinking, you don't have to watch what the person next to you is doing and just listen to the instructor and your own inner guide. Best practice for mind and body. Highly recommend this studio!!

Started going here a couple of weeks ago and I’m certainly enjoying it. It’s obvious a lot of the negative reviews here are untruthful because the staff and quality of service are excellent. I’d most certainly recommend and have been recommending that people come try this out. I always feel a new baby right after a session!

Great workout provided by great friendly and very knowledgeable staff and instructors. Helps ease your daily stress levels and anxiety as well as providing a great workout that is guaranteed to make you sweat. Combined with great people in class and challenges you can sign up for makes it a great place to combat what ever it is on your agenda outside of the studio and find encouragement from supportive people. Bikram Yoga definitely helps with mental and physical fitness and health!

Today was my first day and I am naturally not a fan of heat, but I gave it try. I have to admit I didn't prepare well for the heat. On the other hand the poses, Christian, the other instructors and the heat brought out more about myself that I have been suppressing for so long. I will be back to do more and to get better.

Bikram for me, is an internal battle from within to separate the outside from what should remain

Every day we get bombarded with toxic energies and the process of this practice assists with not only the separation of the toxins from our bodies but the elevated sense of what would remain.

Taking good care of my Mind, Body, and Spirit, for it has been entrusted to me for safekeeping.

This is awesome, authentic Bikram studio. As a person who is late the EVERYTHING, I can tell you that I have arrived to find the doors locked before, but that was my fault because it says that that will be the case both on the website and on the door. When I am inside, ready to practice, it's nice to know that your zen will not be disturbed by people coming to set up their area once class has started.I can also say, that more than once, I have pulled into the lot, like a bat out of hell, at 5 til and when I've been spotted, various teachers have stood and held the door open, because they are wanting all who desire to practice to be able to do so. This place is clean and consistently friendly. One of the best!

I have been attending this studio for four years, and it has changed my life, most noticeably by ridding me of the sciatica pain that plagued me for years. I remember thinking after my first class, having endured 90 minutes of 105 degree heat and 40% humidity while wearing the yoga equivalent of a sweat suit (long tights and a t-shirt), "I ain't coming back here again!" I felt certain as I drove away that I would be so stiff and sore I wouldn't be able to get out of bed the next day. Not only was I not stiff and sore the next day, but I felt great!! I felt less sore and less stiff than I had in a long time!! So I went back the very next day and have been a regular practitioner ever since.

If you are considering yoga, I encourage you to give Bikram Yoga a try. And if you are looking for a great studio at which to practice, Bikram Yoga Marietta is, in my opinion, a fantastic place. The instructors are warm, welcoming and friendly. They instruct the classes in a clear manner and always encourage you to do what you can do and not worry about what others are doing. The facility is super clean, including the hot room and the bathrooms, and filtered water is provided. Make sure to hydrate before you come to class, as well as bring a bottle of water with you. If you forget the water, the studio has bottled water for sale. (The owner is to be commended for recently switching to water bottled in aluminum containers as a way of reducing the ecological burden caused by plastic; she also did away with providing free plastic bags to put our wet clothes in, for the same reason, so make sure to bring a waterproof bag for your wet clothes.) The owner is always trying to encourage us to make yoga a part of our lives. She does this by, among other things, holding periodic 90-day "challenges" (completely voluntary and free of charge), at the conclusion of which everybody (including non-challenger yogis) are invited to a potluck celebration held at the studio. The challenges, pot lucks, and camaraderie at the studio make it a special place.

I have been attending for over ten years. I have been an avid yoga practitioner for decades, and I have been to dozens of yoga studios. I like this studio the best because of the quality and consistency of the classes, their standards of teaching excellence, and the welcoming atmosphere. In my experience this studio attracts the most diverse clients from all walks of life, creeds, races, cultures, ages, genders, orientations, and physical abilities. All types of people with all types of backgrounds are supported here. They go to a lot of effort to ensure cleanliness. Most importantly, the staff and management are respectful and appreciative of each client. I saw that some reviewers complained they could not enter the class "LATE". As a client I am glad that my yoga class is peaceful and serene an does not have late people coming inside after the class already started to ruin my meditation.

I have been attending this studio for the past three years and love each and every instructor I have ever had a class with.
The policies are clearly posted on the door and website and I appreciate the staff following them so that the class is consistent and timely.
Every person is made to feel comfortable and welcome when you walk through the door. Not just the first time, but EVERY TIME!

I bought a Groupon for this studio, and loved it so much I bought 20 more classes. Several of the negative reviews here are from people who just don't like the studio's policies, but I appreciate them. Locking the door five minutes before class begins means I can leave my stuff in the locker room knowing that no one else is in the building. It means no one is going to walk into class once it's started and distract me or the teacher. The floor is different - it's like carpet but it's sanitary. It forces you to use your core and inner thighs more than a regular floor or your mat. This is true Bikram Yoga. Do your homework about what that means. A lot of the negative reviews are simply people who don't like Bikram Yoga. The studio isn't for them. But it might be for you!

UPDATE: I left some clothes there and these amazing people WASHED them for me so they wouldn't be disgusting when I pick them up. That is just above and beyond in my opinion.

I have been a Bikram Yoga enthusiast for 5 years. I try to visit studios when I travel as I hate to miss my every-other-day routine. I enjoyed my visit to the BYM studio tremendously, especially after an overnight train trip - just the thing to work out the kinks and warm my cold toes. This studio is beautiful, clean, and spacious. The staff and local yogis were welcoming and helpful. If you live in Greater Atlanta and want to begin to address your fitness, flexibility, and sanity, give Bikram Yoga Marietta a try. If you are a regular yogi on the road, always try to take in a Bikram class when a studio is available. These are the nicest people. No matter where you travel, finding a Bikram Yoga studio is like finding home.

The sessions are great! The employees are really friendly but I don't like that they close the door 5 minutes before the session starts and will not let you in after you drove miles at 80 miles per hour trying to get there on time... it makes it really hard for people that need that extra minute like me. I will not be purchasing a month of yoga after my Groupon expires.

So much for coming to yoga class today to zen and try out an amazing class referred to by a friend. It turned out to be a money SCAM! You pay online and get to the door and it's closed. NO ONLINE 1ST TIME CUSTOMERS INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT PRIOR TO CLASS POLICIES! And No legit secretary that will answer your questions just in case your interested in coming back. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND JUST GO TO ANOTHER YOGA STUDIO THAT VALUES YOU AND YOUR MONEY!

I have been coming to BYM off and on for about 18 months. The studio is clean, the owner is amazing, and the instructors are extremely helpful and will push you to learn the discomfort that is Bikram Yoga. Looking at the reviews with low stars, it seems they did not know much about Bikram Yoga. If you are interested in Bikram Yoga, definitely come to the studio a FEW times before making a judgement on whether this studio or Bikram Yoga in general is right for you.

I have a PhD in Biopsychology and have studied yoga for 17 years. Bikram yoga is scientifically proven to benefit one's physical and mental well being. The staff at Bikram Yoga Marietta are superb in their own unique ways of instructing the diverse group of practioners this studio attracts. Bikram yoga is challenging, and the positive attitude and friendliness exuded by the teachers and students is inspiring and cultivates confidence and body awareness. In fact, I credit this yoga for helping me to survive injury free, jumping out of an out of control car that proceeded to crash and burn. The discipline of the 26 posture practice reveals itself in so many ways. Namaste and I hope to see you on the mat!

My wife and I first stepped into the studio back in 2010, when the previous owner genuinely and warmly welcomed us with open arms into the community there. She unfortunately passed away & the new owner/director took over without missing a beat. The current director was an instructor then and actually taught our first ever Bikram Yoga class. Needless to say the studio has been a blessing to our health. Its clean, orderly and the staff continues to be welcoming. There is a sense of community there inside and outside the yoga room and the instructors and very helpful with beginners as well as veterans. We highly recommend BYM.

Today was my first time in any yoga class And Im very out of shape probably the most unfit person there lol. I like that they made me feel welcomed and not judged. I was struggleing through that whole 90min class and not once the instructor forced poses on me or made me feel bad in any way. Nothing but encouraging words that i used as my life line to get me through. To describe my experience Awesome balls!!!

The studio owner is respectful and attentive, and makes a wonderful effort to get to know all the students and help them in their practice. I have enjoyed every class I have taken, and been thoroughly impressed by all the instructors. Every time I come in the door I feel welcomed by all the staff.

One of the things that I appreciate the most about Bikram Yoga Marietta is the studio policy to lock the doors 5 minutes before class starts. As a student in the room, it not only makes me sure that my belongings in the locker room are secure, but it also prevents interruptions of the class. When class starts I can focus on the class, and do not have to worry about someone arriving late and interrupting the process.

Please carefully consider your options when deciding whether or not to attend yoga at Bikram Yoga Marietta. The studio is not very nice, but more importantly, the staff treated me very poorly, first with indifference then aggression. They do not value customers' time or money (at least in my experience) and WILL NOT allow you in, even if class has not started, no matter the circumstance. The following review is long but very telling about their policies, procedures and customer service. I was about 20 minutes early for a 7p class with Andy. When I signed in, I explained to a female staff member (unaware of her name) that my sister had already been stuck in standstill traffic on I285 for about 25 minutes, but that her ETA was 6:56, 1 minute after they lock the door. She said it was policy not to let people in after 6:55, but she would let her in if she was there at 6:56. I put my yoga mat down in the heated room and went back in the lobby to wait on my sister. As I was speaking with my sister on the phone, the female employee began badgering me, asking if my sister was driving certain cars. She rudely locked the door while it was still 6:56 and class had not yet started. She proceeded to speak in a rude and condescending manner to me. She was more concerned with attending the yoga class herself than speaking with me about my options, the policy specifics and how one could make up the class that was already paid in full. She raised her voice at me, called me names and got too close for my comfort. She refused to provide the owner/manager's contact info, instead saying she would have her call us. When the owner Naedra Fox called, she didn't ask about the situation or offer any solutions. Instead, she immediately told me that I yelled at her employee and was no longer welcome (unaware that we have her employee on camera yelling at me). I have never been treated so poorly at an establishment and would not recommend this place to anyone. There are much nicer studios that are more understanding, customer focused, and have a flexible time policy that more clearly articulates how the timing/refund works. Please check those studios out instead. In a city where an accident can happen at any moment and traffic conditions can change at any time, studios that are willing to work with paying customers and provide reasonable policies that benefit everyone are much appreciated. Sometimes it's the small things that go a long way when running a business.

Came out of town to experience Bikriam yoga as a free spirited environment to enhance my well being. I rented a mat and was told I had to use a towel or leave the class. Of course I left the class since the towel crunches underneath my feet. The proper technique is to use all the muscles in your feet while balancing and this is prohibited when you have a towel underneath. I personally will not return also due to the way it was handled.

I love this studio, the place is very clean, and the instructors are experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. One thing to note is that Bikram Yoga is taught the same at every class and studio. Given this, each class is the same with the slight exception of a few extra tips and encouragement from the instructors. Instructors who don't do the postures themselves so that they can carefully watch over the students and monitor the tightly controlled conditions inside the studio. As the postures, heat and humidity are the same each time, each student can focus on the changes in themselves and breakthroughs that occur during class. With all the confusion and stress in daily life, IMHO it's good to have a constant to measure one's self by. The owners and the staff do a great job at Bikram Yoga Marietta. I highly recommend this studio and practice for any and all. The work out is rigorous and not for the faint of heart. However, no one will drive you to jump off the edge. You are at your own pace and encouraged to take breaks as needed in order to stay in the room the entire class.

I did not like this studio at all. The studio floor is a carpet that's wet with sweat and they insist you stand on it during wide leg poses. I think that's unnecessarily unsanitary. Every other Bikrim studio I've attended has you turn to the side so you can stand on your own yoga mat... and they are bossy here! If you only step on the carpet with one foot they will come over and insist on both. You are not allowed to rest in any other pose except Shavasana and you are not allowed to use blocks or straps to help you ease into poses or modify them for injury or weakness. Here are a few quotes from the classes I attended: "backbends are supposed to be painful"... "don't blink"... "don't wipe the sweat out of your eyes"... "this pose will open space in your brain cells". The instructors ALL repeat the EXACT same script verbatim and I find it very annoying. Bikrim format is the only class they offer - the same class all day every day taught by instructors who think pain means you're doing it right. I'm new to the area so I thought I'd try this studio and, maybe it's right for other people, but I didn't enjoy it. I'll be looking for another studio that is tolerant, offers a greater variety of classes, and has a different philosophy about fitness.

The prior review it is complete opposite of the reality in this "Yoga" classes. The carpet is stinky, Instructors are invasive. Once you sign up with "Groupon" and complete only 4 classes, professional staff is communicating you via email and blaming each person to quit the classes. So actually with groupon you pay "discounted" price and they allow only 4 classes. Then you start receiving nasty harassing emails. Stay away if possible. They are not returning your money and not honoring promised services.
