I’m giving this for the personal training. Nasser is absolutely the best trainer. I moved out of state and started training at another gym. It has been a really bad experience. I pay $30 more per session and get half of the workout. Nasser cares about helping his clients reach their goals. There is no corporate bull crap. He will kick your butt in the gym but you see results if you stick with it. He provides a great service to Cartersville.

I've been going to this gym for years now, its a good place to lift and most people are courteous and friendly. I'd love to see some new machines though, a proper hack squat, supine press, or plank machine would be amazing.

Rules need to be enforced. Need a floor manager or ability to report jerk members.

People use speakers in the sauna, gym floor, and shower area.

Some people try to hold or reserve 3-5 machines at a time as they do some stupid wasteful circuit training. You ain’t a fitness expert- you don’t need to tie up 5 machines for 45 minutes.

People set up tripods to record themselves and the surround gym members

A few will not return weights or clean up

Raise prices if needed to keep the trash out.

I’d leave in a heartbeat if a new LA fitness came to town. Almost willing to drive an extra 15 minutes to avoid this gym.

I don’t deal with the staff so I dont have input if management or staff are rude. I use the facility at 4am so I’m a night owl and don’t see them much. But they have the necessary equipment to get a good workout in. The only complaint I have is wished they put up signs in the bathroom for no loud music in the showers, it’s annoying. Other than that it’s alright

Nobody has called me back. Charged me multiple times and no one will answer or call back so I can understand why they are charging me when I’m not due for the annual fee. Will be cancelling sad I’ll have to drive down to cancel and speak to someone. Customer support sucks!!

This owner is very unprofessional based on his responses to his paying customers! Even if you don’t agree or you feel their reviews are biased or self serving you should always show humility and respect! Integrity is a must for business owners who value their clients/customers! I will not be joining this gym and I would strong advise anyone who is looking for a gym to join, to look elsewhere! Beware of the red flags! The managing staff is extremely rude. The front desk people are nice and always say welcome in and good bye but management is ridiculous. Keith has cussed me out twice. The first time he threatened to call the cops on me for simply rescanning in because I had to run to my car and the door was locked because it was after hours. The second time was for me leaving weights beside a machine because the machine doesn’t have spots for the weights and I figured someone would want the weights by the machine. He has an ego problem and can’t admit he’s wrong. When I proved him wrong about the first situation he kept cutting me off and wouldn’t let me talk. Very immature!

It wasn’t 6 plates it was 4. The nearest rack is for rubber plates only. The other closest is in front of the chest machines. Also in the reply did not even acknowledge the first incident. Lastly I was cussed at and the witness your claiming is a trainer who is obviously going to take your side.

Was a great gym in the past but the owner never does up keep on the equipment and the equipment is old,it’s similar to real life fitness.

After the manager was made to post some half baked apology on how he acted like an unprofessional man child towards a member and caused a scene. I made a comment towards the post laughing at it because it was obvious it wasn’t sincere. They ended up blocking me on the Facebook page because of that 😂,shows you how childish the manager of bodyplex is.

I had a horrible experience today at the gym around 2:50 pm. I witnessed the gym manager Keith act irate towards a innocent man of color,it was very horrible to witness because Keith was screaming profanities. Going past the previous reviews of bodyplex it appears to be right. Bodyplex in Cartersville appears not to be family friendly and hateful towards people of color. I am ashamed to consider myself a member of bodyplex.

I had month to month contract had my S/O die! I love coming to this gym! I love the staff and the child care center. My major gripe is the members who treat this place with no respect it's frustrating to come into the gym on a Monday and have to re-rack every weight, go find weights off the ground everywhere. The members are not held accountable for their own actions. Coming from a military gym this drives me insane that nothing is put back and there are no repercussions for the lack of care from the members when it's a 24hr unstaffed gym or any of the time for that matter.

If I could give a review of zero stars I would. The worst gym I’ve ever been to. Equipment is old and not well taken care of. Bathrooms and rest of the gym are filthy. People sit around on equipment staring at their phones not letting other people use equipment. Groups of teenagers stand huddled in front of the mirrors taking selfies. Horrible place to try to work out. Temperature feels like the AC doesn’t work. Membership dues are outrageous and the only way you can get out of a contact is if you move, which you’d still have to pay a chunk of change, or if you die and show proof!

As an older, heavier-set woman, I am not usually comfortable in a “fitness facility” . Often the atmosphere is such that I feel very out of place. Bodyplex is a place where I am at ease. Nobody is judgemental. Facility is super clean, with up-to-date equipment. Staff is knowledgeable and kind!

Overall it’s a good gym.

Pros:
1. Trainer Allison is fantastic. She continues to strive for the best for herself and is a really positive influence on others. She works hard and that is reflected in her ability to teach.
2. The equipment is adequate and gets the job done. They have a squat rack & bumper plates.
3. Childcare workers are nice.

Cons:
1. The floors.
2. No sauna use unless the gym is “open”.

This next part does not reflect the gym - just my personal experience: A lot of members have no concept of etiquette.

- I have had a machine I was using taken as I was still using it. I walked away to get a wipe in-between sets. My backpack was on the floor next to the machine I was using. When I got back I was stunned to see what had transpired. Especially when there was another machine to do the same exact thing next to where I had been. This has happened to me twice.

-Some of the members don’t even bother to wipe equipment down after using it.

- There’s a lot of teenagers that go here that are rude and take up equipment by placing their bags on it only to then stand around taking videos of themselves flexing in the mirrors. When you ask them how many sets they have left on the equipment they clearly aren’t using they laugh and say they’re using the equipment. I had time to do multiple things before coming to ask. I gave them ample time to finish their “set”. These kids also deadlift with the steel plates and slam them on the ground. It’s ridiculously distracting and loud. There are bumper plates available.

It saddens me to make this review about a gym I've been a member of almost since it opened. The previous manager was an amazing person, understanding,caring, ethical and professional. He didn't belittle people that worked there, nor did he make people feel like they didn't matter. He was understanding to people's concerns or issues. He didn't call the cops or make a huge scene Infront of other members or use profanity near children.

The new manager has done all of that, and unfortunately I have been present during a few of his unethical, unprofessional scenes that he likes to do Infront of the whole gym. If you have a problem with something someone is doing you don't need to make it extra Infront of the whole gym. That's why you have an office.
I have talked to the owner who is an extremely sweet person. Unfortunately she's not available for anyone to make concerns they have against the new manager. When I asked the front desk for her number they refused to give it to me, so I had to spend hours hunting it down so that I could voice my complaint again the manager. She was understanding, but if people have an issue with the manager but have no way of getting ahold of you that creates a problem for members and employees, and trust me the employees aren't being treated very well either, but what are they supposed to do? All they have is the manager and he's very belittling to some of the staff :( and horrible to some of the members.
I give it two stars bc I used to truly love this gym. Unfortunately I won't renew my membership when it's up. This truly saddens me.

Horrible customer service. Allows my husband to open a gym membership in my name and sign his name put the payment on his credit card then disappeared. I kindly asked them to cancel it and the manger Kevin was beyond rude and yelled at me refusing to help at all. I never used membership or would have since I had 3 surgeries. Also, pulled the memberships showing signatures and they match my husbands. I have never been treated so poorly or felt like I was being attacked by a business. I will let my lawyer deal with this. All over a 50$ balance.

I signed up for a year membership . When it came time to cancel my membership, I looked up how to cancel via the contract that I signed! I sent my email 30 days prior the way my membership contract Told me to. But then I got charged for the following month. So I called them and they told me the only way to cancel my membership was to come it. No where did it say I needed to come in. When I sent my email I received an email that my contract would be canceled when my year was up. So I went in and they made me do a paper cancellation, but she told me I’d still be charged for the next month. I asked to speak to the manager about it but he would not come out to talk to me or even address me professionally. I had to go back and talk to him and he didn’t try to help me he just told me I couldn’t cancel online per “state of Georgia.” But that is a lie because I was able to go on my account that I didn’t find out about until I tried to cancel via the email I received. And guess what I was able to cancel online! He wouldn’t help me or even try to understand the situation; he was very rude to me! He also told me my membership agreement was wrong or outdated that’s why I had to come in to cancel but I never received anything that address that my membership contract was outdated.

I Have been a member of this gym for a year now and I love it. Although the gym could be better maintained and cleaned, it has all the equipment you need. The dry Sauna is my favorite feature; Its not the nicest but it gets the job done. Overall this is the best gym in Cartersville if you are value equipment variety and amenities over cleanliness. If you freak out over a little dust and sweat then you might want to try a Planet Fitness.
