Recently, I made a decision to switch chiropractic care to Wellman’s Family Healthcare. In a short amount of time, I have been rewarded with a level of care that surpasses any other I’ve had in the past, and with phenomenal results. The package I chose, and qualified for, is called Hero’s for Health. Unfortunately, my insurance does not cover chiropractic, but Wellman’s has a solution for that in their Hero’s for Health incentive program, which makes chiropractic care financially possible. The Hero’s for Health relieves a HUGE financial burden to those like me, who don’t have insurance for this valuable, effective choice of health care. I am so very thankful to Wellman’s for thinking outside the box, and realizing everyone, not just those with “insurance,” should be able to choose how and where they receive care. It has been my observation that every employee at Wellman’s is there to ensure you receive quality hands on therapy. Everyone is on the same page with YOUR individual treatment plan, and I feel like each visit is a spa day with instant relief from pain. Also, within my treatment package is several massages. There just isn’t enough space on this page or enough words to express the quality of those massages. I have had many massages in my life, but never like this. Trust me when I say, you will not receive a massage like this anywhere else in Glynn Co! Massage therapist, Joe, is truly a magician and literally erases pain from your body.

Five months ago I was unable to sit for more than 30 to 60 minutes without experiencing excruciating pain radiating from my hip, shoulders, and neck. After viewing my x-rays with Dr. Amber Wellman, I was convinced to enlist in a program to improve my health and well-being. I want to start of with a personal thank you to each and everyone for this reason.. I came here while suffering severe lower back spasms for 6 days. Upon my first visit I was met with smiles and welcomes and still continues as im going on week 3 of my treatment. I have been to several chiropractors before but never one like this . I actually really liked both doctors and was especially fond of the masseuse. Dr. Jason gave me the MOST thorough, educated, spot on exam I've EVER had. Honest to goodness. He was kind, patient, thoughtful and informative. However, the rates are from the lifestyles of the rich and famous; they require a contractual financial agreement, and all this prior to even receiving an adjustment. My quote was $2k and heavy change, I'm a hard 'crack em' up' and I'm surely not buying a Lincoln Town car without even turning the key to see if the engine runs. On top of that, my quoted total just didn't seem to add up to me, with having already met my insurance deductible with 70% coverage of services. I broke down the number of sessions they explained would be the MINIMUM depending on how well my body responded to the adjustments versus the quoted total and it was far higher than several other providers in town. Now let's just say that they're just that much better than the others. There were a lot of maybes in that quote. Maybe I'll need more adjustments, maybe I'll need electrical stimulation, maybe I'll need massage therapies. Still...not the deciding factor. My absolute disappointment and, honestly, bewilderment, is taking into consideration that the contractual financial agreement, with the possibility of all its countless variables, is presented and expected to be signed and agreed upon PRIOR to one, single adjustment. As I mentioned previously, I am a hard 'crack 'em up.' When I brought this up and questioned my investment being steadfast if there were issues surrounding this fact, there was a pause, some quick thinking and a very broad, non specific 'we could see if we could work something out.' So it was with dashed hopes, ESPECIALLY after the phenomenal exam Dr. Jason did, solely based on the fact they did not provide one single adjustment prior to signing on the big, fat double line, I could not bring myself to agree to such a vested commitment. Had they provided that one session, given me any idea of what technique and equipment they utilize, I feel quite confident I would've signed that day. Because they didn't, however, not only did they lose a contract, but most likely an ongoing client indefinitely. It was very disappointing, because I had and still do have, the feeling that they ARE just that good.

One of their employees lied to me about having insurance credit on my account.
For nearly 3 months, I was paying for every visit immediately concluding each visit. After one of my appointments in mid-March, I pulled out my card to pay for my visit and the curly blonde haired lady behind the desk said “You dont owe anything today. There is a $200 credit in your account”. I asked her if she was sure, because we discussed previously how my insurance wouldn’t cover anything until I met my deductible. She told me that she was positive, and so for the next 4 or so appointments, I didn’t pay out of pocket until she (same lady) told me I had finished using my credit. I stopped going to their office in late April.
Now, 6 months later, I’m getting bills in the mail for $200+ because someone in their office messed up. I was paying each visit and only scheduling visits as I could afford them to avoid large amounts out of pocket all at once.
Avoid this place. There are plenty of other chiropractic offices in Brunswick to go to instead of this one.

I got a great workout here every visit. The coaches are friendly and motivated. If you're looking for a great place to get in shape, visit here. It's usually a group atmosphere, they do offer individual classes, but every participant is watched and instructed based on their current level of fitness. If you are considering a massage gift certificate for someone, go somewhere else. Their policy is they will not take anything from last year. My birthday was at the end of October and it expired 3 months later on December 31, 2014. Therefore, if your birthday were December 20, then you would have 11 days to use it.
Everyone is entitled to their own policies, that is fine. But if you are looking for a gift for someone, consider yourself warned, gift cards here will actually expire and the manager will say there is nothing they can do.

AWESOME! My girls and I have been seeing Dr. Wellman for over 8 years. My youngest was suffering for asthma, in and out of the hospital. After see Dr. Wellman not only did she stop going to the hospital she has never taken asthma medication again! Remember everything in your body is connected to your spine.
