The classes I was able to attend were fun and informative. I didn’t get to enjoy the full class pack I purchased because I got sick. When I called to ask if I could finish up the class pack I bought I was told I had to use them within three months. Fair. I explained that I didn’t attend in the allotted time because I’ve been dealing with a cancer diagnosis. “Well didn’t you read the terms when you bought the classes?”
I understand sticking to policies to a degree, but this felt cold. If you’re looking for a studio that is compassionate and accommodating you may want to look elsewhere.

Monitor your Credit Card
** UPDATE: early 2025, the studio credited me with the classes owed, as agreed upon**
• Oct 2023: Studio double-charged me $150 without authorization and never credited me for the extra payment.
• June 2024: I authorized a one-time $220 charge, but within 30 days, my card was charged 4 times, totaling $880.
• When I flagged the extra charges, Crystal dismissed my concerns, despite my credit card statements proving them.
• When she stopped responding, I disputed the unauthorized charges with my bank, which refunded me $660.
• After my bank reversed the charges, Crystal suddenly became responsive—but accused my bank of “taking money” from her. 🚩🚩
• In Sept 2024, she fabricated a backdated monthly contract (which I never saw, signed, or agreed to) and sent it to my bank or a third party—who rightly rejected it.
• Crystal even admitted that staff mistakenly told me the $220 package was a one-time charge but later insisted I should have known better as a long-time student.
• I filed a complaint with the GA Attorney General, and Crystal later offered via email to credit me for the classes I’d paid for. After she didn’t follow through, I filed with BBB. Then she followed through a couple months ago, 2025, rectifying this situation. This is resolved and Crystal followed through with her solution.

Took my consultation money, it's been 2 weeks and they've never contacted me for a consultation piano lesson for my kid, asked for a refund and now they're not answering any voicemails or emails. Kinda sad to say but typical Atlanta behavior from businesses.

Great space to rent for rehearsal. Affordable pricing and very spacious. I contacted them at the very last minute because we were in need of rehearsal space and they accommodated us. When I inquired about the space the response time was very quick! Ellas customer service was very welcoming and friendly and addressed all of my questions and concerns before booking. They make the rental process very easy! I would rate this place 10/10 for the experience I have received and will be renting the space as needed moving forward.

This is the best Latin dance company at that studio I have ever been to! Well I go to Atlanta dance and music academy for the Latin salsa in the evening the instructor Fu is very knowledgeable in his craft! He teaches beginners / intermediate. He has teams he has trains, that he travels with and hold conferences all over the world. He also gives great deals for his classes! You should come and try it. Fuego y Hielo Dance Company

Ive tried for 3 weeks to schedule some wedding dance prep for my fiancée and I. All I've ever gotten is "someone will call you back." Finally, a receptionist directs me to schedule through an app that does not address my needs. The Atlanta dance and music academy came highly recommended but I can't see how.

I've been taking classes at Atlanta Dance and Music Academy, on and off, since 2017. Though they share the similarity with many studios in having an extensive kids' programs, they also offer ballet and other dance styles for adults.
What I've enjoyed is participating in the adult performances, my own participation starting in 2021. Not all adults want to be in the optional performances: in our case, any funds raised go to the partner non-profit City Dance Inc. Some adult students prefer simply to take classes.
There is a good camaraderie among the instructors and the adult dancers. I believe the environment is welcoming to adult dancers of any age, background, or ability. I started myself as a wobbly beginner and have continued to improve over the years. Ballet takes some dedication to get better, and this studio can be part of your own fitness and artistic journey.

This company’s professionalism is absurd. To have the owner suggest I come and do a “tryout” was the best thing that ever happened. So grateful I did not decide to, or allow my daughter to attend. They will charge your card freely for tuition whether enrolled or not and then act completely clueless over the missing funds. Please use careful consideration when kids are involved.

I can't emphasize enough how amazing our experience was here! My daughter blossomed from clumsy child to graceful young adult at this studio. Ms Pamela, started out a patient yet stern teacher, became a wonderful mentor, and now she remains a steadfast friend of my daughter as she heads off to college. The very diverse group of girls that were in her classes became some of her best friends. And now with the pandemic interfering with so much in our normal lives, I see such commitment and energy being given to keep the students safe, yet connected. Ms Pamela checked in on the girls on at least a weekly basis during video classes this summer, giving such positive and helpful physical and emotional support. If your son or daughter is interested in dance (or music), you really can't go wrong here... I truly believe Ms Pamela and the other great teachers at ADMA contributed to my daughters successful transition to adulthood.

I booked/rented this space for a single & independent singer. The Owner/Operator — Pamela— was not easy to work with. The first phone call we hand, she hung up on me while I was still talking. I explained my needs and she felt the need to repeat what I said as if it were her own knowledge.🤔. She has to have the last word on everything and has to say something about everything. The niceness of the studio space and the price is what encouraged me to follow through. She doesn’t know how to treat people/professionals! I would recommend the space with 5⭐️ but would have to take away 2⭐️ because of the poor social and poor professional conduct of Pamela! Just be prepared to have an assumptive and combative interaction when dealing with Pamela. Everyone else seemed to be more kind and the facility was what we needed!

I absolutely love this place. After having been to several classes at the Atlanta Ballet Centre and leaving unsatisfied (and almost with the belief that ballet maybe wasn't for me) I found this place and it's exactly what I was looking for. Everyone is so nice, the dance studios are big and well-kept, the class sizes (adult ballet basics) are small enough to where the teacher is still able to pay attention to each individual and tailor the instructions appropriately for each person, and the teachers just really know what they're doing. I would recommend this place to anyone who has an interest in ballet!

I am a forty something year old mom ( have not done ballet since I was 8) and I started taking the ballet basics with Mr C about 6 weeks ago. I am hooked, my body is changing fast and that class is my getaway from all of my daily grind issues. This is a mix of floor work and ballet one day and then ballet the other day. Mr C is an expert, take this class and it can change your life!! Love it!

I love Studio Dionne! I studied dance, mostly ballet, from the age of 12 to 18 at the studio and take classes or teach there whenever I am in Atlanta. The director, Pamela Dionne, has been a huge influence and help in what is now my career. I really enjoy the intimate class setting and individual attention. It does not matter if you are trying to become a professional or just trying to work out; Studio Dionne is a welcoming environment to grow your love of performing arts.

When I turned 40 I decided it was time to do something that I had always wanted to do... Take a Ballet Class. Luckily I found Studio Dionne. The Studio Owner, all the teachers and the other students were so welcoming that I felt at home right away. I have been dancing there for six years now and have gone from ballet basics to the advanced class. Whether you are a beginner like I was or have had years of dance training and just want to get back into it, Studio Dionne is the place to go!

I am writing this review in hopes that it will prevent someone else's child from being hurt or discouraged from pursuing their artistic dreams.
I enrolled my now 4yr old daughter (3yrs old in the beginning of the fall session) in her very first ballet class. I chose Studio Dionne based on convenient location and some good reviews that I read online. However, I am definitely now regretting this choice!
My daughter is the only African American enrolled in her class and I can honestly say that I have never felt welcomed by the school. When going to pre-register my daughter for the next fall session for the 4 yr old aged class last Saturday I was told that my daughter was the only child in the class that would not be allowed to move forward to the next class. When questioning why, I was told that they feel my child is not "emotionally" ready and does not have the attention span to last the additional 15 minutes that the next class requires (btw none of these "concerns" were ever brought to my attention prior and my daughter has been in this class since August). Also, here is the icing on the cake...If someone walked into studio Dionne today with their 4 yr old child that child would automatically be enrolled in the class they say my daughter isn't ready for just based on age....but my daughter who has been at the school for 10mo and is 4 yrs old is not allowed to be enrolled into that same class.
I know most parents are going to speak highly of their child (in which they should), but my child is exceptionally smart and ahead of most 3-4 yr olds in many areas (socially, emotionally, and academically). This has been proven via the state test and assessment given at my daughters school and to say that my child is not "emotionally" ready and does not have the attention span in my opinion is a load of crap! I can't stand when individuals play the race card, but in this situation race was the only difference of my child and every other child in that class. It's kills me when individuals of the opposite race try their hardest to "label" an African American child at a young age.
At this age introducing a child to the arts should be fun and exciting, not trying to discourage and humiliate a child. In this day and age when the arts are starting to diminish you would think that a kids dance school would do everything in their power to encourage children to enjoy and embrace the arts. Dancing may not end up being my daughters "claim to fame" but at this age I want to expose my child to every opportunity and as she gets older see what she enjoys most.
My child has 2 more weeks left in the session and I am seriously considering not letting her attend. I DO NOT STAND BY ANY COMPANY OR ORGANIZATION THAT TRIES TO KILL AND DESTROY MINORITY CHILDREN DREAMS.
I do not recommend Studio Dionne to anyone! Especially minorities!
