Joining CrossFit Stars and Bars was a truly pivotal moment in my life. After having my first child in my 30s, I wasn’t in the best health when I started CrossFit. Over the course of more than a year of training here, my body became significantly healthier, and my life underwent a complete transformation. Every coach at this gym is professional, kind, and gave me the courage to keep going. Sadly, I had to move away and leave this community, but I will always miss the coaches and the amazing people I met here. I’m so grateful to everyone—thank you!

New to the area and after driving/researching several CrossFit gyms chose this one. Shayne was amazing before I dropped in with responding and answering all of my questions. He, Catherine and Will are knowledgeable and great at helping me with getting back in the groove after being out of the gym due to a military move. Haven't met all of the coaches and athletes but those that I have met have been kind,. encouraging and welcoming. Looking forward to growing in and with this community!

Was only able to attend for about a week, but had a great experience. Shayne and company did a very good job with each class, every single instructor is very knowledgeable and took the time to make sure we understand the workouts, movements, and reps. Next time I'm in town I'll definitely be dropping in🤟🏽

Best CrossFit gym in town! I highly recommend this gym. I am new to CrossFit, and I have learned so much in a short amount of time. I can see the results since I started in January.

Honestly, Not enough stars here to properly rate them. I've been a member roughly 7 weeks and I've gotten stronger, I've learned so much about my limits and the goal of getting my athleticism back has become very attainable. The coaching team is top tier! Knowledge as well as understanding of each individuals limits.
Lastly and my favorite part, they have no problem letting you know when you're going down a dangerous path. Thank you guys for protecting me from myself.
Highly Recommended!

Before coming to Cross Fit Stars and Bars I was intimidated because of all the bad that you hear revolves around CrossFit. I won’t get into that here’re as that is not what this post is about. Not only do I rate this place very high I would highly recommend and here is why. The first day I started with Shayne he made me feel like I was already apart of the family; then when working with all the trainers you see the passion and the love they have. I am still learning the fundamental s but every coach has helped me along the way breaking down and how to. If you’re in the Grovetown or surrounding areas and you want to give CrossFit a try come on in and they will treat you as family.

Best programming you'll find around here. I have been a CrossFit addict since June 23, 2018 and I'm still sore and learning something new each week because of the smart programming and attentive coaching.

I started my CrossFit journey August a year ago. Stars & Bars was the first gym I walked into & have been going since. I immediately felt welcomed and a part of this community not only by our amazing coaches but the owners as well.

Love this gym! My husband and I have been members for 3 yrs now and we couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. It’s truly a family feel at Stars and Bars! The owners go above and beyond to make it a warm and welcoming place.

If you're not willing to accept mediocrity, this is not for you.

Owner told me this is just a "hobby" for her and her husband. You'd be hard pressed to see them there on a consistent basis. There is a General Manager, but in my experience that individual has no authority and is just a figurehead. The absentee owners explain a good bit of why things are the way they are.

When we first started in March we thought things were good there. We felt welcome and had visions of making good friends and enjoying another Crossfit community. We were sadly disappointed to find out that this place doesn't work to build a community. Simple things like in house challenges and contests to bring people together do not happen here. Heck, they don't even have t-shirts for sale.

After a few months here I was approached by the owners as asked why I wasn't as "lively and loud" as I was when we first started. After a day to compose my response I sent it to the owners. My response was immediately shared with some gossip queens in the gym and instantaneously my wife and I became black sheep and those so called "friends" would not acknowledge our existence. I knew right away that the owners didn't take member input seriously then. Offer up any criticism about how things are or could be better and you are shunned. Another example of this lack of concern for members occurred after a recent influx of new members when the on post classes were canceled. Some new people came to the gym, many of them good people. This created some larger afternoon classes. Out of the blue one Sunday evening, it's announced that class times were being changed, effective the next day. No input from the paying members was asked for regarding the times they'd like to see. I was told by one owner that she made the decision because of equipment shortages and if it was inconvenient for some members she can't help that. My issue with it is that she didn't ask the members, or refer to a poll she took 3 months prior where members did offer feedback to new class times. She disregarded what members then asked for, and this time did not even care to ask.

Since I was again one to state some disagreement with how things were run, later that night I was called up and told I could no longer be a member of the gym. The owners think they are running a great thing. Once someone disagrees it's game over for that person. Anyone who has done Crossfit at a good gym will see this is the type of place that give Crossfit a bad name. The current atmosphere either has you in the "owners friends" clique or just "someone financially supporting the owner's hobby."

It's a sad story really. From what I know, there have been 3 owner changes since 2015 when I was last at Fort Gordon. The facility has some great space, it is large and roomy. They have a good rig for pullups, squat stations, rope climbs and ring work. There is a large wall for wallball stations and a roll out mat great for handstand pushup work or pre/post workout stretching. After that, things go downhill. They have mostly old and rusted barbells. There are a large amount of broken bumper plates, specifically having loose sleeves and cracks and chips in the rubber. There are several dumbells that have rubber either missing of peeling off of them. The dumbell and kettlebell assortment is limited. There has always been a broken assault bike that is unusable. The GHDs are old, broken and need dumbells to hold them down and feel secure. It seems the equipment just gets passed down from owner to owner and none of them try to improve the member experience. This is a stain on what Crossfit is trying to be.

I began my fitness journey with 3B a little more than 2 years ago as a 34 year old morbidly obese woman who couldn't do a single pushup or run to the end of the driveway. I am now more than capable of doing full out pushups (not just girly ones). I also completed my first and second half marathons this year. I couldn't have done it without the support and encouragement of my friends and trainers at 3B/CFGV!

3B Fitness/CrossFit Good Vibes is way more than a gym. The members are more like family. I love that we are all "real" people who are extremely supportive of each other add we work towards our individual goals.

The trainers are incredible! They can work with you no matter your current fitness level and help you reach your goals. They can also program for any type of former injury. They have programs and classes to meet a variety of interests, goals, and age groups. Currently my husband participates in Brazilian Jujitsu, Kickboxing (both cardio and skill), yoga, and CrossFit. I do CrossFit, yoga, CrossFit Gymnastics and cardio kickboxing. My 5 year old daughter does wrestling and CrossFit Kids.
