I like the facility however On Thanksgiving and Christmas they close early and they don’t mention that when you get your membership. But for the most part, they’re open 24/7. They keep their equipment maintained and they keep the place clean considering how busy it is.

Unfortunately zero stars isn’t an option or that’s what would get. I read the reviews before coming and thought just maybe it was better now and boy was I wrong. We go to crunch locations all over the US being truck drivers and this one is by far the WORST! From the minute we walked in I just knew. Music was low, zero energy, had to listen to two guys grunt and groan and just let go of the cable machines which caused the weights to slam and the cables to slap and sound like gonna break. Even with my own music playing I could still hear them. Dirty isn’t even the right word it’s FILTHY! Employees do absolutely nothing, the guy working when we got there all he did was walk around and I’m almost 100% positive he walked into the women’s locker room while I was using the bathroom and didn’t announce himself and the only reason why I say that is the one towel he was carrying around appeared on the counter and I could hear his keys jingling.
I walked out to our truck to get our shower bags and when I came back in the other guy working didn’t even look up to acknowledge me, when he did see me I asked if I needed to scan back in and he replied “what?” And proceeded to take one of his AirPods out of his ears and didn’t hear a word I said.
Then I went to shower…….No words for the condition of the women’s room let alone the showers. Absolutely disgusting! Dried blood on the floor, trash and toilet paper everywhere, hair all in the shower, someone’s pimple sticker stuck to the shower wall just nasty and apparently the men’s isn’t much better and someone’s underwear was in the shower.
Whoever owns this gym and also the manager should be ashamed of themselves! For the 2ish hours we were there not one trash was emptied, not one thing refilled nor cleaned! And we even drove TWO HOURS to come here because it was the only 24 hour crunch or planet fitness (yes we have memberships to both) I do believe I will be calling corporate on Monday!
I can honestly say I don’t believe we will ever come back here! I’d rather wait until 7am when the Hiram location opens then to come back to this hell hole of a gym!
Oh and did I mention it stinks?! Like mold and mildew and dirty gym socks 🤢🤮

Do not sign up at this gym. Don’t take any offers either. It’s a trap. I took up their so called free membership and never showed up due to personal reasons. Tried to cancel before I get charge and they’re refusing . It’s morally wrong to try to tied people to payments they don’t want. Went on Reddit to read their reviews which I should have done first but apparently it’s a reputation. Do not sign up with them. This one star is only because I can’t post without leaving something. They don’t deserve any stars or credibility.

Do not try to tan here. The customer service is absolutely awful and they are so rude. They also do not know how the tanning works and the process you need to go through to get a tan. They are so rude and condescending. The wait was also an hour and a half but every single spray tan machine and tanning bed was open. Awful experience do not go!!

I tried canceling my membership here and after telling me a manager would give me a call, and never calling me back- I ended up having to contact my bank to stop paying them. I called them again to cancel and now after months of trying to cancel and paying over $100 for a membership I literally used twice, now they are refusing to cancel until I pay even more. I will never be returning to this gym. I’ve literally worked in gyms before and it is not hard whatsoever to fix a customers account for them. I’ve never had such a hard time canceling a membership to anything in my life. It’s absolutely ridiculous, for a gym that says you “can cancel anytime”. Absolutely ridiculous, and unprofessional that a manager couldn’t be bothered to call me back to get this taken care of. Months later, I still can’t cancel.

If I could give no stars I would. I have tried on 3 different occasions to cancel my membership here and each time has been absolutely miserable.

Was first going to drop my membership from $30 to $10 but was told that would be a "20 fee". OK cool, I'll just cancel completely then I thought.

Came in today to cancel (10/8) and was told they would still charge my account on the 11th and said if I put a stop payment on my checking account it would get sent to collections.

I was then told that they would take care of it but I am banned for life by the general manager. That's really not a bad trade off considering how poorly managed this place is. See very since I joined in 2020 the place has gone down hill...only half of the lockers work, the plumbing is terrible, and the showers are so disgusting that I had to stop showering there completely.

I would highly recommend another gym in Athens such as Fitness at 5 or Athens Health and Fitness over this gym. It has been nothing but a giant headache dealing with this place and thankfully I won't be refurning...regardless of a so called "lifetime ban" or not.

Seriously...do better, it is my money not yours so stop penalizing people for not wanting to use your gym anymore.

I've been visiting the Athens location for the past month. I go there to workout with my son, and have wavering about getting a membership of my own. The one sticking point has been that anytime I ask staff at the desk anything, they get confused and come across as put off. The two times I decided to get onboard and set up an account in-store, the counter staff were unable to assist me. I'll probably set up a basic ccount to save on day passes, but bad customer service is a definitely deterrent for me setting up a higher tier account.

Honestly really used to love it here because of the convenience and the amenities that come with the peak membership. This included my weekly spray tans. The workers give so much attitude when you come in and ask for one if there is a waitlist. There also used to be 2 machines and now there is only 1 working. They also stop doing them at 9pm now which I just don’t understand?? I feel like they literally do it out of spite. I am probably going to downgrade my membership because they make it so hard to get your moneys worth

This gym is one of the few in the area that offers 24-hour access. I've been a fan of the Crunch brand for many years. However, this particular location has recently fallen short of the high standards that Crunch usually upholds. The stair master machines sound like they're on the verge of breaking down. The water fountain hasn't been cleaned properly, and to make matters worse, the water filter for refilling bottles was out of order for a couple of days. The showers are quite dirty, and it seems like no one is taking the time to clean that area. The women's restroom is also in poor condition. There was a time when the toilets were so filthy that no one wanted to use them. I even texted the number posted in the bathroom to report the issue, but it seems like no one is actually addressing it, as the paper towels in the women's dispenser haven't been refilled in over a month. For $29 a month, it feels like our fees aren't being used to maintain the facility. When I asked if someone could refill the toilet paper in the bathroom, all I received was a response saying they would inform the manager. I came back the next day, and there was still no toilet paper... So, yeah...

They have everything you need but Oof they need a refresh badly. The shower and locker room area make you feel like you are in a county jail. It is super dark in the gym and it feels extremely cluttered. I would strongly recommend Crunch drop about $200k into the place and bring it into 2025 with a look that will last into 2035 or longer.

I pay for the $29.99 membership so that everything is included. Lately when I go I'm and ask to use the hydromassage, they send you to a room where they have removed the door. Everytime I ask if I can use one of the rooms with the door, they tell me they don't work. I've been a member for a while. And there are also other things that they tell you that you will get when you sign up, but you don't. The t-shirt, you don't get. The free personal training session, you don't get. It is time to find another gym. My child doesn't dislike many places, but the first time I took him to childcare here, he hated it and cried not to go back. So I haven't been able to use the childcare there either.

Everything you’d expect from a Crunch along with super friendly and helpful staff! I was anxious about coming here, I’ve always stuck with smaller gyms or group fitness classes, but once I let Tru know it was my first time here, she gave me a tour and let me know all about the different offerings at Crunch, which made me feel super comfortable and eager to start working out! I’m looking forward to making this my home gym!!

I was a member of this gym for a couple of years, a few years ago, and my son is still a member. The amenities are good and we've enjoyed the gym part of the gym.

My son was in an accident and can no longer use the gym. We called the gym itself, and the representative had no idea how to cancel the membership. He gave me a voicemail number for corporate. They've never returned my calls. I've also tried email and cancelling through the app. All unacknowledged. It's been more than a month and we still can't get anyone at Crunch to help us.

This gym is far too small for the number of members. I moved here from a larger city where high quality gyms are on practically every corner. In Athens this is probably one of the best gyms for the price. With this in mind, expect to wait for machines, deal with people disregarding your space, and dazed 🥴 people hogging workout stations. The place is dirty, too, which I have found to be true for most gyms in this area. The windows and doors are especially grimy and the floors are dusty and dirty. There are no paper towels in the bathrooms which is slightly disgusting at a gym, especially when that Dyson hand dryer just blows the germ-laden air around on your hands. If you workout in a public place I suppose the silent submission to the bacteria is what you sign up for…😵‍💫

By comparison the Central Florida gyms had professional sterilization methods employed over night by 3rd party cleaning companies and this was before covid. The gyms had to be clean because there’s so much competition! This place caters to college students obviously. With the cost of UGA tuition the university should offer a free gym to all students on campus. That would probably reduce clients here by about 85%.

That said, the group fitness classes are the best in town. I leave and come back to this gym it seems every other year because of the fitness instructors. They need to expand or add a second location and maybe I would increase my rating.

I would refrain from going to this gym. The General Manager is unable to professionally speak to customers or his employees. A complaint was filed with leadership due to illegal practices promoted by this general manager and the company has not taken action. They treat their employees poorly, require them to work off the clock, and the general manager has an extreme lack of accountability. I would recommend any gym over this company! If you look at some of the responses on here you’ll get a taste of his condescending attitude and in ability to provide premiere customer service. He is much more concerned in making you seem stupid than assisting. Tells his ChatGPT to respond more professional because he can’t do it himself.

Don't become a member here. This entire company's sole concern is squeezing as much money out of you as possible. The personal trainers are pushy even when it's clear you insist that you don't want to join their class or get some workout plan.

The locker rooms are okay and the bathrooms are decent most of the time. The showers are gross by nature. The sauna is nice. The actual equipment of the gym is fairly reliable when the place isn't slammed with people. Or when the personal trainers aren't taking up half a room for a class where they blast awful music for the entire gym.

I always enter the gym with headphones already on to avoid the incoming sales pitch from Supreme Nutrition or anyone else. But one time, a PT approached me and started talking to me about why I hadn't done the Crunch Kickoff and proceeded to push me into scheduling my free session with me. I did the session and refused to start a plan. The PT would still try to rope me in multiple times in the coming weeks which made the gym torturous.

The subscription process is designed to be impossible to cancel unless you go in-person. They claim that you can freeze it but I sent a message (and received a reply indicated that they clearly did not read what I wrote to them). Nonetheless, I was still charged.

The desk is always swarming with employees who stare at you when you walk in (or better yet, are trying to sell you something). And despite the fact that there's always 2+ people at the desk, no one answered the phone when I called to cancel my membership and their voicemail is full.

This is not a gym, this is a scam.

Been coming here for a year. The staff are great. Machines are well running. The bathroom and paper towels are stocked. If only Crunch would open a second one in Athens! There are a lot of people that come here. But there are 24 hours to pick the right times of the day to come for less crowds.

For ten bucks a month, I think this place is great. Sure, one of the two toilets in the men's locker room has been out of order for at least two months, some other locker latches are broken, and sometimes it takes them a minute to repair broken equipment, but--come on--ten bucks a month? I've found the staff very friendly and helpful. I do have to hunt for barbell clamps pretty much every time, so it would be great to have more of those available. Convenient location. The custodian seems to be there all the time mopping, vacuuming, cleaning the bathrooms. Busy at peak times. Weekends are a great time to go. Lots of UGA undergraduates. Better than Planet Fitness because of the free-weight squat racks and proximity to town.

Lately the gym has really went down hill. Always a friendly staff but the maintenance has basically stopped. Machines are not being serviced. Men’s bathroom has been out of order for months. The hand sanitizer stations are always empty. The gym has become a less than average gym in the area in the past 4 months. Each member pays a maintenance fee and it’s obvious that the funds are not being used properly.

The variety of equipment is astounding for the price of admission. I was visiting and I only came for a day, day pass 10$ compared to monthly membership 10$ is standard industry practice. Cheap. What I really appreciated was 15-20 benches they had were all the same, two peice bench that can be seated, incline or decline. My gym at home has fixed benches and half of them are niche positions. All of them being customizable at crunch was awesome. Plus they have a ton of free weights. A little thing I noticed is the single pully cable machine, to a gym rat it does make a difference which I appreciate. If I lived in the area I would come here for sure.

I have been a member for almost 8 years, enjoy the 24 / 7 hours, I like to train early in the morning before the crowd gets there. Last fall I received a email from Crunch telling me that my monthly premium of $9.99 a month would go up if I didn’t sign a new contract, by doing this my premiums would stay the same, so I did . Came in one afternoon in August and signed. Looking through my bank statements I noticed Crunch has been charging me $15.99 starting September, I was a little pissed 😠 so I called them yesterday 2/17/25 to speak with a manager. There wasn’t one and I was told she wouldn’t come in until 11 am, so I left a message for her to get I touched with me, didn’t hear back so I called at 2pm I was told she was out to lunch, I left another message asking her to please get in touch with me to resolve this matter, called back at 5pm to speak with her, I was told she was on the phone and they would give her my message again. I’ve finally got a call at 7pm but wasn’t able to answer cause I was at a soccer game and didn’t hear the phone. I guess management doesn’t appreciate me being a member for so long, enough to resolve this matter, I feel that they have taken money this 5 months without my authorization, and that to me is stealing. So if you’re a member of this club check your monthly payment, they may be taking more than you have originally signed up for

I have had problems like some others on here with being charged for PT after the service was canceled. I also canceled my monthly membership with someone online about them continuing to charge me and now that situation is getting charged again. The PT were great, equipment and facilities are what I'm giving good ratings. Management and overcharging and fraud are the reasons for the 2 stars. I have been waiting for this to get resolved since Oct. 2024. My daughter also had problems and has provided the gym with documents and information at least 3 times

If I could do it over again I would go somewhere else. The people that work their are nice, but the facility isn't that good. The ceiling I think is consistently leaking like all the time and it drips on machines on the floor quite literally everywhere. There is black mold all over the window seals and near the glass which honestly has to be a health violation. Then there is a good chance there is going to be 2-3 machines broken every time you go in.

Noted with such a larger facility there is always going to be things that happen, but this is always happening and has been for like 2 years so I mean if I had to do college over again I would choose a different gym.

Overpriced and the sauna is going to end up killing someone. It’s always left on the highest setting which is insanely hot and higher than any normal sauna. When I try to lower it, it is always raised back to a Temp that is way above what is legal and safe. It’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. Unfortunately im afraid someone is going to be seriously injured if Crunch does not address the sauna temp stat. Crunch please consider the safety of others since most gyms have a temp gauge that is auto regulated…rather than just using a sharpie to draw a line on the temp gauge which is not followed although I’ve tried to turn it down multiple times with no success.

I wanna give it a 2.5, but I’m gonna round up because one of the employees I met was nice and helpful. Benches are too narrow and slick; feels more like a balance act benching here than anything else. Bars have very little knurling. Equipment feels cheap. Floor is messed up by the dumbbell rack. Dumbbells are always mixed up because the rack itself isn’t labeled correctly. Lots of people (not necessarily bad). There aren’t that many clips (at least I can never find them) and the ones they do have suck. Everything just has a lot of wear and tear. They do have a standing calf raise I like and they have some interesting machines, but that’s not enough to offset the sucky main equipment. I’m into powerlifting so I’m slightly biased here. Finally, there’s of course the aggressive membership scheme that crunch fitness has in general.

Edit: Moved down to 2 stars. You cannot cancel over the weekend. I went to the gym in person and I was given a card to call their cancellation office which is only open during regular business hours (even though the gym is open 24/7). But, they sure will let you sign up over the weekend and not during regular business hours, so you can put yourself into a situation where you can’t cancel before it renews.

Check your accounts, YTD. They've stolen $300+ from me. Never refunded me and then claims I own $500 plus for PT which I already paid for. They do not give refunds. They do not wave late fees even though they claim to. THEY ONLY ADD ON MORE CHARGES.

Now my account will hit collections because in order to cancel with this gym I have to pay the 500 I ALREADY PAID FOR AND HAVE PROOF OF PLUS THE NEXT MONTHS FEE BECAUSE IT TAKES 30 DAYS TO CANCEL.

None of which they were willing to look at. Manager is rude and blantly looks at you as stupid. "Everything is over the phone" yet everyone on the phone demands I go in person. Yet everyone in person demands I go through the phone.

This is a legal scam and something seriously needs to be done. I'm always going to never recommend this gym. Years ago it was perfect.

If this is how crunch wants to keep their customer base, I would prefer any other local clubs instead.

I have been trying to cancel my PT membership for several weeks now and am still getting charged 180.00 every 2 weeks. I spoke with Skyler and Alexa at the gym, who both said they they would give the information to the director (I think his name is Darrell?) who was supposed to cancel my account. However, today I received another charge to my card for the 180.00. I contacted my CC company to submit a request to block future transactions from Crunch, but if anyone at the gym could provide further assistance or insight, that would be much appreciated!

Edit: Removed a star because they also can't read. Not once did I say they didn't clearly state anything. Actually, I said the opposite. They scam you and are proud of it. Secondly, I WAS a member of crunch. How could I cancel a membership if I weren't a member? Lastly, I don't care if you're locally owned by God himself, your contract is shady, and the owners lack of reading comprehension bolsters my point: They don't care about you as a student. Saying you're the best in Athens is setting the bar pretty low for yourself considering your competitor is Athens Health and Fitness. To the owner: Maybe, since your gym is so good, you should consider mental strength training before responding with diarrhea of the keyboard next time.

They claim no hidden fees but then make it nigh impossible to cancel. Be aware, also, that signing one of their contracts is tantamount to opening a line of credit. They will charge you, and keep charging you, regardless of whether you pay. Paying what you owe is important, but so is consent. Which these morons clearly have no perception of.

Secondly, making it a requirement to cancel in person speaks heavily not on Crunch as a company (Crunch allows online cancellation), but the franchisee of this particular location who has decided in-person, or certified mail, are the only 2 ways to cancel. There should be a push to make this unreasonable request unlawful.

In summation: greedy, deceiving, and thieving. You are better off sticking to Ramsey.

If you’re not sure about going to the gym regularly, don’t buy a membership here at all! It’s incredibly hard to cancel. I wanted to cancel after my first month, but they told me that even if I cancel, I still have to pay a $50 annual fee, so I decided not to cancel. I’m paying the highest price, which is $30, just for a Zumba class. However, I noticed that in the middle of the class, lots of people just walk in and join us! The class is supposed to be limited to 30 people, but it often exceeds 45. I’m suspicious that they aren’t actually paying the full membership fee since they usually join in the middle of the class! I can’t even move freely due to the overcrowding! When I tried to cancel again, they told me there’s a one-month prior cancellation policy, so they’ll charge me again before canceling! To sum up, in four months, I went there a maximum of 20 times, and I’ve paid around $200 with taxes!

After, I was told that I couldn’t get a refund for some reason despite me coming in a whole 2 weeks earlier to cancel since I was moving out of state. This company can be described in two words/ phrases: deception and hidden fees. They advertise that you can join for $1 and that it only costs $10 a month. Yet, unless you sign a year contract, it costs $17 a month. Furthermore, once a year you must pay $50 just to maintain a membership. No classes are included in that $17. Finally, when you cancel they make you come in person, which is unfortunate if you move away, and you have to continue to pay for another full month. Also, many of the machines are broken, and I usually have to wait to use a treadmill or to have a spot on the mats to use the weights.

Never been to a gym with such rude and inconsiderate management and staff. Training to be a cycling instructor in the Fall and was practicing on the instructor bike- a bike the same as all the others just in the front of the room and was told 10 minutes into my workout "I needed to get off to preserve the instructor bike". I was practicing a week ago where a crunch teacher told me I could practice on this bike. Not sure why the instructor bikes are more important than the other ones that are riden hundreds of times by PAYING customers each month. The lady's tone, way of asking, was completely unacceptable.

All of that being said- I regularly encounter rude, angry, staff and management here. I've noticed this happens to a lot of students, it seems like in general they have chip on their shoulder with younger people.

Crunch customer for 6mos. In a facility this large, with so much equipment, so many machines, tanning beds, saunas, etc, it’s easy to notice “down equipment” or facilities. But what I’ve noticed is how quickly things are repaired and restored. That is invaluable for me as a customer. It is clear that the management cares for the facility and customer experience.

Source: Google

★ 1

Nice equipment and well kept cleanliness. MISERABLE to deal with from a customer service standpoint.

When my membership was increased by $5/month without reason, I was told I ‘should have received communication from corporate.’ I did not. Had to go in person four separate occasions to resolve the issue as ‘only a manager can assist.’ It wasn’t about the $5, it was the principle of someone being able to take money from your bank account without notice and without the ability to assist you unless you constantly keep visiting, calling and questioning. Even after revising my membership, they said I have to be locked in for a year to go back to my base plan.

Cancellation policy is CRAZY! I knew when we moved I would have difficulty cancelling, as my husband did many years ago and again had to go in during business hours on several occasions to try and catch a manager. This was very difficult with his hours working in a hospital. For my membership, I tried to cancel over the phone, which was unacceptable. Was told I’d have to go in person, which having moved over an hour away, I declined. I was then instructed to write on a piece of paper my name and reason for cancellation and mail it to the facility. Not sure what that accomplishes that can’t be don’t over the phone. They definitely want to make it as hard as possible to cancel a membership.

All of this to say, if you like Crunch, find another location instead of Athens. We recently joined a new Crunch facility and have had the best experience! They were familiar with the problems at the Athens location and apologized for the trouble we’ve gone through. They were also confused as to why I was locked into a base plan, which lets me know that it’s not corporate policy and just the Athens locations making poor business decisions to negatively effect their customers yet help their wallet.

This is my first negative google review ever! That is how much of a struggle it has been doing business with Athens Crunch.

It’s a clean and well maintained gym. But their cancellation policies and customer service information is lacking. I cancelled my membership in person at the end of February, and was told I’d need to pay for March as well due to their 30 day policy. I agreed and signed to pay for it and then be cancelled. Later that day they called me to inform me that they would cancel my membership immediately, without the 30 days, to avoid me being charged their annual fee. I thanked her but a week later *was* charged the annual fee. When I called to ask about it I was told I would receive a refund and they apologized. When I hadn’t received the refund after a week I called back, and again the employee said it should be there after a few more days. Finally I called a third time to ask when the refund would show up, and they informed me I actually wouldn’t be getting one, because of a new policy. If I hadn’t of called they would have continued to charge me March’s monthly fee as well and not have cancelled my membership like I was told numerous times had already happened. The ‘resolution’ they were able to offer me for not honoring the refund I was told I was getting, was simply that they weren’t charging me for March. Which an employee had already assured me they wouldn’t do, and really was not a resolution at all.

Edit: I emailed member care a week ago and still have not heard anything.

The showers are not any better with their own layers of ick! it is just concerning especially if they clean like this there tanning rooms and beds are getting the same level of service as the locker rooms and other parts of the gym . think about that next time you lay in one of there tanning rooms or wash your hands ect they charge outrageous prices for an over sold gym they don’t keep up with !

Unless you enjoy having to wait for machines, I'd strongly encourage shelling out a little extra each month to go somewhere nicer if it's in your budget. I only go here because it's a 20 minute walk from my apartment.

I'm genuinely curious why the UGA students don't just go to Ramsey, considering it's included in the cost of they tuition.

This place is constantly completely packed, unless you go really early in the morning or really late at night (after 10).

The positives are that the gym is very affordable, spacious, and easy to use. There's a range of facilities and for the more popular items there's enough provided that wait times are usually short. I have worked with two trainers, both of whom I found helpful. However, I have found the other staff unhelpful and occasionally rude. I was double charged for my trainer sessions, when I asked to speak to someone about this they first denied what I was saying was true, then defended themselves, and finally told me they could not help me. With my trainer's help I did manage to avoid being continually double charged, but I wasn't offered a refund. Additionally, I was encouraged by my trainer to use the workout log booklet the gym provides to track my progress. Today I discovered that the gym threw out this booklet along with every other in the second drawer of the filing cabinet. The staff denied knowledge, told me to ask someone else, and offered me nothing but a new booklet which I'm sure I'll enjoy until they throw it out again.

I started a membership here in January since I’d heard good things about Crunch from friends, especially about how good they are if I ever had to cancel. I was disappointed with the yoga classes, especially since one of the instructors made it more like pilates than yoga, which I have trouble with due to a bad knee and back. I decided to cancel my membership within 60 days and was met with alot of pushback from the managers and assistant manager. I had to get them to print the actual contract I signed, read it, and then read them the specific line that allowed me to pay off everything I owed to cancel my membership. Only then was I allowed to do this. It took three trips to Crunch within 24 hours and over 2 hours of my time to get this sorted. The managers were very helpful once they realized they made a mistake, but the assistant manager was very flippant with me, which I didn’t appreciate. He told me they don’t mention it as an option since “most people can’t afford to pay it all off at once”. So just be warned if you are interested in trying Crunch.

I would not go to this gym. Everytime I came majority of the machines were out of order. When I came in to cancel, it is a 25 day policy, so you will be charged for the next month. Due to the inconsistency and disorganization of the gym, I shouldn’t even be charged for next month. This gym is not up to par, I recommend going somewhere else.

Update: I received a response. However, I am not pressed about the policy, but you should not charge people a full amount for the gym fee. The machines NEED to be fixed as soon as possible. It is ridiculous to pay for something that you can not use.

Once I got my membership, they set me up with a body scan and just an hour with a personal trainer to help me better understand what i need to do to reach my goals. I honestly think this was the best decision too. This gym is amazing, all the workers are very welcoming. The facility is too tier and the environment is like no other gym in Athens. Crunch is one of the only affordable gyms in Athens that you can go to that isn’t planet fitness or a high end club style studio. I pay the $30 membership so I can take all the group fitness classes, which are great, always have enough seats open, and are super challenging, which I’m looking for. I also enjoy getting to bring in guests for free and be able to visit multiple fitness locations.

This location however is always extremely busy when UGA is in session, but it is 24 hours so you can try to alter your schedule around when it might be busy. There are often people waiting in a line near a machine to use it. The overall facility is generally clean, management could possibly look into buying some de-humidifiers to use during busy hours due to lots of humidity from the tightly-packed environment. As of 1/25/2024 I have counted 12 treadmills that are “under maintenance” which doesn’t help when the gym is already always busy & there is limited space & equipment. The bathrooms are very gross. I have seen some stains & goo that’s been on the floor ever since I have joined. The toilets stink and are constantly out of toilet paper. Management should definitely consider retraining their employees/ adding different cleaning practices and products because what they’re doing isn’t working. However, I appreciate what the gym does do and I will continue recommending this location to others, but I feel there could be some much needed improvements done.

Been coming to Crunch Athens for about 5 years now, and I’ve tried other gyms in Athens, but Crunch is my favorite! Everyone is always so helpful and friendly! Especially Tanner! If you need a trainer or some good gym advice, definitely ask for him! :)

Super affordable and plenty of space. Less busy than the campus gym which I very much appreciate lol
