Kevin and Danny are honestly the best part of Crunch Chamblee! They run the place smoother than a brand-new treadmill. Kevin is the GM who somehow manages to fix problems, hype you up, and crack jokes all at the same time. Danny is the assistant GM but really operates like a co-captain who keeps the whole gym running and still greets everyone like he’s hosting a fitness talk show. Together, they make the gym feel like a community instead of just a place to sweat and question your life choices.

They’re so good at what they do that I would genuinely name my future children after them lol! Crunch Corporate, if you’re reading this, give these men a raise immediately.

This is one of the most ridiculous thing that has happened to me. For over a year, I’ve attended this Crunch, ENROLLED IN AUTOPAYMENT. They charged my card on time every month. Until I came in today and they told me that I was responsible for a LATE FEE. I asked them why and they said my bank troubleshoot the payment so now it’s 10 days late. MIND YOU, I never got a SINGLE email or any notification on my app to notify me that my bank was not letting them take the monthly fee. When I asked if the fee can be waived because I got no notice from it, they flat out said no there’s nothing they can do or no one they can talk to about this. I was just supposed to pay the fee for something I wasn’t even aware of. The manager just said there’s too much to keep track so no one was able to let me know that a late fee was going to occur if I don’t pay, WHICH I DO ON TIME EVERY MONTH. They gave me no option or anyone to talk to. I went ahead and canceled because this is predatory. I tried to see what they can do to help but nothing was done for me.

Crunch Chamblee is a great gym overall — clean, spacious, and full of energy. The staff is friendly, the equipment selection is solid, and there’s usually plenty of room to get a good workout in without feeling crowded.
My only small complaint is that a few of the handles on the chest machines could use some adjusting or maintenance. They still work fine, but a little tune-up would make the experience even better.
Other than that, it’s an awesome gym and definitely worth joining if you’re in the area!

I am trying so hard to continue to enjoy going here as well as keep my gym membership but it’s days like today that really make me want to cancel. This place gets jam packed constantly and I feel like I can’t even complete or do certain workouts because every machine or area I use/need is taken. Or there’s a training class going on and I get kicked out of that area. I didn’t even get to finish my workout tonight because a trainer kicked me out because a class was starting that I wasn’t even aware of. What’s the point in paying $30+/a month if you can’t even really take advantage of your experience there? I find myself leaving extremely disappointed every single time. Im really fed up.

I had a membership with Crunch Chamblee. On June 21, 2025, I went in person and paid an $18 cancelation fee, and signed a document that confirmed my cancelation was effective July 22, 2025. On July 23, 2025, I was charged another $18 by Crunch. I called and I spoke with someone on the phone in both July and August and was assured I would receive a refund for July and August. I received a signed document from Crunch acknowledging the refund for August, which never came to my account. I was then AGAIN charged in September. When I called again, they told me that I was NOT being charged despite me having charges withdrawn out of my checking account. She told me that her system did not reflect they were charging me, and that they issued a refund to me, neither of which is true. She confirmed that my cancelation was effective in July. I had to go to my bank and they put a stop payment on Crunch. After the stop payment, Crunch tried to charge a credit card that I had given that was expired, so the charge was declined. Absolutely inexcusable.

Crunch Fitness Chamblee is the best! The gym is always clean, the equipment is in great shape, and there’s something for everyone, from weightlifting to group classes. The staff is super friendly and helpful; they always greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. The energy in the gym is motivating but not intimidating, and I love how spacious it is even during peak hours. I’ve seen real progress since joining and actually look forward to my workouts now. Began using this gym when it opened. Brand new tennis shoes ruined with black oil after using treadmill. Showed employee shoes and machine that caused damage. Sent GM email with description of what happened with pics a couple months ago. Zero response to email. When I confront GM, instead of taking accountability he defers to owner.
Update: It took 7+ years for someone to respond, and apparently they didn't even read the review. Do better

Overall this place is great. Good atmosohere, lots of machines and racks. Staff members are nice too.

However the locker room area including the bathroom, sauna and the showers have been smelling horrible for a while. They clearly are not cleaning the area properly. It smells absolutely horrible and disgusting. They also need to get a different brand of urinal splash screens because the current one doesn't work that well and splashes urine all over underneath the urinals. There's always a spot of urine collected near the urinal. The Staff often doesn't care about cleaning tissues or soap running out.

Also I wish they had another pull up station that's not attached to the cable machines. The area that has pull up bars and trx machines is always occupied for classes and it's impossible to use the equipment there until class ends.

DONT JOIN! Beware! At Chamblee and so probably this location too here’s how it goes down: They will tell you when you join at a higher monthly fee that you can downgrade to $9 per month at any time - but after months of paying the higher amount when you ask to downgrade they will say they can only downgrade you for a $20 fee. Plus, when multiple family members joined at the same time using just one credit card - they treat everyone separately so the down grade fee is $20 per person. Highway robbers is what they are. Be aware of this tidbit they do not share when you join. It’s a racket!!!

EDIT: 3 years after cancelling 2 memberships, mine and my daughters, in person and in writing - and having to finally call my bank to ban them from charging my card any longer, this thieving company sent my account to collections. This is after I paid for MONTHS after cancelling - they basically just act like the cancellation never occurred. I'm telling you, if you see this review, DO NOT sign up for a membership at Crunch.

I would really hesitate before signing up for crunch fitness on Chamblee, especially for their free membership for a week. If you do not cancel it on time you sign yourself up for three months to pay. Unfortunately, I was out of town for an emergency on that last day and was unable to cancel it. They do NOT accept cancellations over the phone. I went ahead and told my bank to not charge the card but they said they would send the debt to collections if I didn’t pay. This is all in on the contract but this is abnormally predatory for a gym. PLEASE think twice before signing up.

Gym has good variety of equipment and the price is nice. The problem is getting access to the equipment you need. It’s consistently crowded and hard to stick to a plan when you go in. Also seems to have a lot of trash laying around on the ground due to trash cans being full.

I cancelled my membership after two months, and only three visits, because I am fed up with having to walk around and dodge cameras to work out. I don’t want to be in the background of someone’s TikTok. I realize this happens in a lot of gyms, but this place was the final straw for me. Done with these budget gyms.

I asked the front desk lady “Emily” to use the hydro bed and she treated me like If I was not a member or if I was going to steal the hydro bed. If you bar your code when you check in why do you have to be brining this code everytime you want to use the hydro? Great gym and the people who work there are awesome! One thing. The blonde woman that works in the morning constantly behaves weirdly. Noticed for a couple of months. If management has a camera, they could see that she laid herself across the front desk at 7:21 this morning. Her coworker looked so done with it. DO NOT PURCHASE A MEMBERSHIP AT CRUNCH. This is a predatory business, with predatory business practices, THEY WILL NOT LET YOU CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP.

My story is I went ahead and got a membership at this Crunch in Chamblee, my first session made me extremely uncomfortable, an aggressive patron kept taking pictures in the locker room, at one point doing his best to get me in the frame while I was changing.

I approached staff to report this behavior, and they flatly ignored me, and declined to 'take a report' because the 'general manager' wasn't there. My privacy was violated, and probably because they didn't want to deal with the fact that sexual harassment had just occurred in their locker room, they dismissed my concerns.

I tried to take a shower and get out of there, and their showers were either broken or the clear glass doors didnt close properly and left you exposed to the rest of the locker room while you try to conduct hygiene.

I was fed up, and since I had just gotten this membership, I figured it would be easy to have them cancel, but again, the 'GM' wasn't there. and they wanted me to come back tomorrow, so I did, only for the general manager to stall and waste my time and tell me he couldnt until after the 3 month period which they would have charged me 100 dollars, THEN they could cancel it, but not any sooner.

They explained when I signed up that it would be easy to cancel. Just come in and talk to someone at the front desk and theyll take care of you. That was a bald faced lie.

I had to take extraordinary measures to stop their little scam from unfolding, I had to dispute the charges with my bank, I contacted the Better Business Bureau, with little success, and there is practically no recourse, so I'm posting this review as a warning and as an ad for anyone seeking compensation for damages against Crunch Fitness, LLC.

They don't have contact information for their corporate offices either, but based on the number of reviews with this exact same experience, I think we know why.

I picked up a work shift in the chamblee area and went to this crunch on my break. I was going to get a day pass for $15 but the lady at the front desk said I could sign up for a membership for 6 cents and then cancel it on my way out with no strings attached. So I agreed and signed up, worked out, and then spoke to her on the way out and cancelled my membership with a signature before leaving. 2 weeks later I got charged for a membership. I reached out and was put on hold a few times after speaking to multiple people and finally spoke with a gentleman who said my membership was never cancelled and stated that i have to pay for 3 months of the membership before being eligible for cancellation . I knew the staff here was pushy about memberships but didn’t think they’d resort ro straight up scamming people. :/

The gym was super packed for a Sunday, with only one machine for each type, which meant waiting around just to work out. Several machines were worn down and some were broken. This location is clearly over capacity already, so offering 1¢ sign-up deals just makes the problem worse since the gym can’t handle the capacity of new members. I canceled my membership the very first day I went.

Unprofessional and inconsistent staff. The Front Desk staff are literally just there to socialize. You can tell they don’t care about anything except hitting their membership or private training quota. I’ve had multiple trainers in my DM’s and it’s uncomfortable. The equipment is fine but could definitely use some deep cleaning. They bring vendors in pretty often and you literally cannot get through the door without someone in your face trying to sell you something. This gym just has a weird, uncomfortable culture and it’s definitely due to the staff.

A very decent gym at a very decent price point. They have a wide variety of free-weights, machines, and racks to fit around your routine as well as a turf room, dance studio for movement classes, and a cycling studio. Saunas, massage chairs, and tanning beds are also available. It is a popular gym, so going during peak hours can make it seems smaller than it is, but overall, I don't have an find myself waiting for a long time to get my workout done. This review isn’t just about billing—it’s about the entire broken experience, from the predatory charges to the run-down facility.

Let’s start with the billing scam: I canceled in person multiple times—both gym membership and personal training—and they kept charging me anyway. Every time, staff claimed “it’s taken care of,” but refused refunds and told me to “just use up what you paid for.” I did exactly that, used the rest of my sessions, and confirmed cancellation.

Then—THREE MONTHS LATER—I was charged again for personal training. This was after canceling the gym membership too (and still being forced to pay one more month even though I canceled before renewal).

When I called, Sierra told me there was no record of any cancellations—either a lie or proof that Crunch’s system is garbage. She also falsely claimed my last session was in February (it was March), and when I corrected her, she kept blaming me. She even said, “I put you on hold to calm you down.” That’s not calming—it’s gaslighting.

And worst of all? When I canceled, they had full access to the system and could’ve canceled everything right then. They either ignored it—or it was never recorded—which makes Sierra and Crunch look like liars.

Oh, and this isn’t just my story. Go look at their 1-star reviews. You’ll see the same billing traps and shady behavior happening over and over again. This is not bad luck—it’s how they operate.

As for the gym itself:

Too hot to work out — AC barely works

Half the machines are broken

Cramped and overcrowded — too many people, too little space

I’ve reported them to the BBB, and I encourage anyone who’s been burned to do the same.

Avoid Crunch at all costs. This place is a scam factory. You’ve been warned.
