I will leave this review up once I get confirmation that this gym has cancelled my membership, as they are giving me the "run-around".

I went in person and filled out my cancellation form on 8/15/25. A young lady said "everything should be fine". I was billed 2 days later, which is fine and probably just a timing issue. Then I was billed again in mid September 2025. I moved over 25 miles away and the drive after work in traffic is over an hour - I'm not putting myself through that drive after a long day of work.

So when I got billed in mid September I called them and was told "my boss will get back to you" - which never happened (of course). I went ahead and put a "stop payment" on my credit card. Send me to collections if you want - I have zero need for new credit and never will. If it comes to it I will put this gym on BLAST all over social media and post myself outside with a sign saying these people are greedy, scammers. Oh yeah, I also went to this gym and paid my dues every month for over 8 YEARS. Even during COVID I kept paying to help out a small business. This is the BS I get for being a LOYAL member.

Again, if/when this gym gets their act together and confirms with me that they have cancelled my membership - then I will gladly remove this review and actually post a very positive one since I REALLY did like the gym. Just don't like driving for an hour to get a workout in.

UPDATE: They appear to have stopped charging my credit card, but that might only be because I stopped payment. I will change to 3 stars for now, if they send me to collections it'll go back to 1 star. If not and it has been 3 months, I will rate 5 stars.

This gym has been dirty the entire year I’ve been a member. Machines that were broken when I signed up are still broken today. It’s not the first time the same staff member has given me a nasty attitude when my key tag didn’t work and I’m here 5 days a week. Instead of fixing the issue, they try to sell you another tag. And if you bring up a problem, they don’t listen Never gets fix !! they fight you back like it’s your fault. No wonder so many people are leaving for Crunch where the gym is clean, the equipment works, and the staff actually respects their members.

this place is terrible. Never coming here again. First time I went I saw mold all over the ceilings and there is a whole daycare at this gym. This is a dangerous place for adults and children. Plus place is not clean and stinks inside.

So I came to this gym recommended by my girls….i had a bad interaction. Walking in I did not feel welcomed. I’ve felt very nauseated by this situation and have been overthinking about it. I wanted to bring this to yalls attention. So I walked in already feeling very unwelcomed by the staff. I feel if you are going to work at a small gym at least be a little welcoming! I met this lady by the name of Nikki I believe. I did not like anything about our conversation and how rude she was. I will not be coming back here ever again. All this happened August 25th and I’ve been trying my hardest to move passed it but I have not found any other local gym and this incident is the only thing I’ve been constantly thinking about when I think about going to the gym. Nikki was such an awful person and this has been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever experienced so I will be fur thing this situation to the board of directors and staff.

I have been trying to cancel my membership for three months, following all the complicated instructions, but I still have not been able to. Sigh….. well I used to LOVE this gym when I first had a membership several years ago. Now I’ve been trying to find out how much a membership even is these days and they literally WILL NOT TELL ME. Their website is broken. The link so have a trial week and set up a membership is broken and doesn’t work. They have 3 tries listed but ZERO information about them. I called and tried to talk to the girl at the desk she flat out told me she wouldn’t tell me how much a basic membership is. She said “ we prefer you to come in to talk about it” girl no. It’s a simple this is how much it is. Apparently they are banned from saying how much the memberships are which tells me some sketchy stuff is going on and they are changing the prices based person to person or something. Like how hard is it to tell someone what the basic membership without any add ons costs? Like i don’t want to waste my time and deal with them trying to sell me on things if the basic one is too expensive. I’m going to already say no to everything else it’s not difficult to answer a question unless you’re doing something shady. It’s really unfortunate because this used to be a FANTASTIC gym

Not one to complain, I wish I had something nice to say. Brenna and Brooke ran this place great too bad they’re gone. Gym is run down, teens run the gym itself so it makes sense. I mean I would prefer not to have a child watching my children in the daycare right? Never any soap… machines always broken… seems to be a mold of some sort growing near the squat racks too. For the amount people are paying a month to come here it surely isn’t being put to good use.🙁 Too bad. Also got dismissed when I mentioned the mold in the ceiling tiles, someone’s bound to get mold poisoning.

It was pretty nice place but after yesterday I changed my mine I come in because the guy tells by the phone that you can still subscribe tru fit and active program that is 32 dollars every month and I went there around 5:45 the guy say that he could give me a price of 41.00 and for like a year I was like ok but he say it was not fit and active anymore program I was like ok. But every time I was asking something, the guy next to him was his smiling, like laughing about what I was asking. I feel so bad yesterday because that makes me feel like that was racist, and the way he was looking at me like he was laughing on my face. It was so disrespectful so I just left by the way I was in the gym almost for 10 years. I never received this kind of treatment before so it’s gonna crazy.

DO NOT go to this gym. You are locked into a contract if you choose to do a yearly membership and you cannot cancel it. Equipment is old and worn down, only one leg extension machine that was broken for almost a year before they “fixed it” and now it’s lopsided instead of just buying a new one (this machine is older than me). All the amenities you are supposed to have are not in use or broken. Tanning beds aren’t open, pool isn’t open, steam room always broken, bathrooms are old and gross and never have soap. 3 stairmasters 1 of them is broken, in general this gym should be $20 a month max, but it actually is about $75. Go to the beast, Gainezville, or the new crunch opening this year instead of this gym. Hopefully they go out of business and use this space for something worth while.

The new manager is flat out rude, the gym itself is poorly maintained. They try and justify their price by having "group classes" that haven't been available in what feels like years.

Just gets by - good selection of equipment but relatively old. No classes for over a year and any offering of classes seems abandoned. Equipment constantly breaking down instead of being replaced. Music is WAY too loud!!! You can't listen to what you prefer to work out too. I mean, c'mon people - everyone uses head phones/earbuds these days . . . why do you have to force us to work out to what you choose - so loud??? Aside from that, there are a lot of machines but a lot of it is pretty dated and overused. I go there for the few machines i can't get at the community center.

I’d give it a 0 star if I could. The gym is dirty, nothing is ever fixed, that have 15 year olds running the place, the owner doesn’t live here or care, they offer child care on limited days and hours but then workers no show and can’t provide childcare. Been a member less than 3 weeks and couldn’t go on childcare days 6 times already. Still waiting on the owner to call and the receptionist blade says he doesn’t care and the manager likes to just post on social media and does nothing. Another receptionist named brianna said the owner doesn’t care and probably won’t call but I’ll give him your number. She offered his email but he doesn’t respond to his own employees. The place is a dump.

Great gym, but note to owners: sometimes the staff BLASTS the loudest, worst rap music on the planet. It's incredibly whiney, repetitive, and annoying. And it's so loud you can't think. Stick to the music you normally play - it's so bad sometimes I cut my workout short.

This place conducts very bad business. I went on BBB to see if there were any complaints and sure enough, a situation a year ago with not fulfilling personal training sessions on the part from this gym, but charging you money for personal training is still going on. I am currently caught up in the same situation. I joined personal training to work out with a specific trainer. I signed a 3 month contract, fulfilled it. Then I agreed verbally to do another 3 month contract. I didn't sign anything. The trainer was fired 6 weeks into my 12 week verbal agreement. The owner continued to charge me. The front desk gives you a run around saying "Only the owner can do refunds". Yet the owner lives in Tennessee and there is no way to contact him (David) except through email. He did say at one point that he would refund me my money since he fired the trainer, however he did not and now when I email him...he ignores my emails. I paid for a service that this gym didn't provide, personal training. I don't understand to why a client has to suffer because of a dispute between owner and ex employee? Extremely bad business and sadly these same tactics of his has been going on for over a year. There are also absolutely no workout classes. That is false advertising. I have been asking around about "who" this man, David, is? I have been getting nothing but negative feedback from his own employees, other gym owners and hos current gym members. A very sad situation and he essentially stole $598.00 from me.

I got a membership to this gym in hopes to take classes, yoga Zumba etc. just like the website says as well as use the tanning beds when I go to the gym the lady at the desk told me they are not currently doing any classes and the tanning beds have not been working since Covid hit and she’s not sure if they’re ever going to work again. Gym itself is fine - a little outdated but the best in Gainesville in terms of access. Can get a bit crowded however. The main issue I had was with responsiveness to communication via email and phone. I cancelled my membership in January and was still charged all the way through May 2023. There is a 60 day notice to cancel after your first year contract. I had to submit 5 requests to cancel before it was finally completed. Gym itself is good, communication is terrible.

Unfortunately the girl at the front desk gave us every reason not to join. She told my husband and I to not leave stuff around because the customers steal. She pointed out the sauna and the steam room but said the steam room never works. The rap Music was so loud in the pool area that we couldn’t even hear each other. She said the men’s bathrooms are “absolutely disgusting” and that the customers are disgusting. When it came down to the different memberships she kept saying it’s nearly impossible to cancel and they will just keep charging your card. Needless to say, we were very disappointed and signed up at another gym.

I can only speak of coach Ismael Saturno’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. I studied bjj with him for around a year and 100% recommend everyone interested in bjj try a class with him. His knowledge is legit and his teaching ability is among the best I’ve had in the sport. He does conditioning along with techniques and sparing. Amazing for all ages and skill levels.

This gym has seriously gone down hill. It is now an overpriced Planet Fitness.

The bathrooms and equipment are not cleaned properly. The bathrooms are disgusting. 2 of the public restrooms are still closed. The pool is not heated. There are holes in the doors in the tanning bed rooms ( which are closed)

Group fitness classes has been closed since before COVID due to "repairing the floor". Now they have gotten rid of the Les Mills classes and brought in an independent contractor to do classes for an additional charge to an already high price membership. An additional $50 a month for something that was included before.

The leg press machine has not had a pad on it for weeks, their solution is to wrap a mat around it. They advertise a smoothie bar, has not been open since 2020.

Their child care situation is not reliable and is infrequent to begin with...not offered daily. Maybe someone will show up have to call the day of to see IF anyone is there on the scheduled child are days.

I understand that businesses have taken a hit due to COVID however stop advertising things that are supposed to set this gym apart from the other gyms.

I used to go to this gym prior to everyone losing their common sense over a virus. This gym is still probably the best gym in Gainesville. I went back because I heard they had reopened the sauna. That was the main selling point for me. I was really excited. I get in the sauna on the first day, and the temperature is somewhere near 100 degrees. I tell the front desk. They say they'll check it out. Maybe they did. Maybe they didn't. I do not know. What I do know is that a sauna is supposed to be around 165 to 200 degrees. I have been hotter at the beach. I am very disappointed. I took a star for the sauna. I also took a star because of the disrepair the place is in. The showers are poorly maintained. The lockers are cracking and have broken doors. It almost appears as if the owners are essentially just letting the place decay. I can only assume that memberships are down, so they are just half stepping on the quality of the gym. Wish I could give more stars. After reading through the reviews on here, I do not believe they are going to do anything about it, which is unfortunate.

We were staying in Gainesville for a small mountain trip and we normally find a gym to train at while on our trips. We decided to visit Elevation Fitness to see if they had the proper equipment for my training, since I am a powerlifter. The lady at the desk would not let us walk past the front counter to look at the gym. We could only gaze from a distance. I understand if this is a rule however she could have offered a chaperoned walkthrough or a summary of available equipment. But she was very to quick to stop us so we felt uninvited and I would not pay for a day pass if the gym wouldn’t work for us. Very unprofessional, as we are gym owners ourselves in our hometown.

The gym used to be a okay gym, but over the past two years it has gotten gradually worse. You can join any other gym and get what you get out of this place for a fraction of the cost. The steam room is always “out of order” but is never getting fixed. The pool is constantly out of order or broken. The aerobic room has been closed for over a year and is no closer to being fixed from the day it was closed. The sauna doesn’t even get hot anymore. All of these problems and you are still charged like you are able to use them.

Don’t get me wrong, I love this gym. Lots of equipment, UP TO DATE equipment. But I feel like they haven’t done enough to make sure guests are coming to a clean environment. Employees tend to eat around the front desk. Seems to be the “hangout” spot. Employees are seen sometimes wearing a mask, I’ve seen one ever wear it on his head! 🤣 I’ve also heard from a former employee that 3 people have tested positive for COVID and they haven’t reported it because they don’t want the gym to shut down. A few of my friends have stopped going because of this. Not sure if it’s true but I believe it’s why they’ve started ‘wearing’ masks. Guests are ‘supposed to’ clean their equipment when they’re done, don’t find too many doing that. The most I’ve seen done is maybe someone vacuuming? Be careful in there corners that’s where lots of dust and hair tends to collect. Just wish they were more serious about keeping the gym clean and keeping themselves protected.

I absolutely would NOT recommend anyone going to this gym. I had the front desk hold my $2000.00 TAG watch that I wore by mistake. Assuming the front desk wouldn’t steal from me and after my workout I went to collect my item and low and behold it’s gone. Of course it was on video. When my lawyer called to get the video suddenly the film had vanished. The gym did not try to make this right by anyway. The lockers do not have locks and things have been stolen from the locker room prior.
This Gym is also dirty, poorly managed. Customers don’t wipe down equipment. Beware!!!

I was scouting out gyms and really thought about going here. But the entryway is so dark. I'm not the only one that feels this way. Once you get inside it brightens up. Why is the entryway so dark? That first impression is so important. I think they should put some lights in there. You can't even read the menu for the juice bar it's so dark. If you are a real fitness enthusiast or have been unimpressed with other gyms like Planet Fitness, then you will love Elevation Fitness! It is a very beautiful facility with plenty of equipment and offerings. A membership includes access to classes, tanning, indoor pool, sauna, and a crossfit style free weight area. The ONLY small downside is that they are not open 24/7. 🙁

Elevation is a big, well equipped gym. There are generally lots of options for machines or equipment even when it's busy. My wife and I also work with a trainer, Nick Short, who never fails to put together a challenging workout and who is a master motivator. You'll find yourself doing reps you didn't know were possible. This gym, the staff, and Nick are all top notch.

Good variety of equipment but music selection (rap) not good due to inappropriate language. Wifi is weak in locker room and back half of gym. Otherwise it is best gym I've been to in Gainesville, Georgia.

Wow!! I called on a Sunday, spoke with David who was extremely nice and informative. My family and I schedule a tour that same very day and really was impressed with the amount of equipment and amenities they offered. A plus for me was the towel service. David extended a one week pass to me and my nephews family which was awesome! Tuesday morning upon entering I asked for 2 towels. After looking at the towels they were filthy with all kind of makeup and other discussing marks. I mean to the point that I didn’t even consider using them to stand on let alone sit on them and using them was COMPLETELY OUT OF THE QUESTION. After I attended the Sprint cycle class, I went to the sauna. I sat near the heater and noticed a drywall screw protruding out (wth). I mean David was adamant about filling out a disclaimer while on the tour but clearly a liability is just waiting in the sauna. Their isn’t a clock to keep track of your time while utilizing the area then I noticed a SMALL digital clock on the other side of the area.their was no one who new how to operate the whirlpool etc.. Ok, on my way out I went to the front desk where I met a rude heavyset white guy with black hair, who once I ask for the manager or David. He replied “ I’m a manager “ I unfolded the towels and showed them to him and said would you use these towels?” He said Yeah sure would there’s nothing wrong with them. Once I pointed out the obvious dirt and filth. He then said yeah our washers are old and they leave rust on the towels. Huh!!!!!!! Clearly Stevie Wonder could see that was not rust.

Five stars if the music was not so loud and really sucks.i should program it for you .I have thirty six years in radio and the record business.you do need help in this area.employees are great.new treadmills are super fine.i have been a member for thirteen years.

Its a clean gym, wipes available for cleaning the equipment. Lots of machines. Front counter is friendly. The only improvement needed is letter stating "no nudity", the old timers tend to walk 100% naked in the men's restroom, which can cause blindness. 😷
