This place has a horrible bullying problem. The teachers do nothing about it despite watching it happen and being told numerous times that there is an issue. I have seen multiple times a young mixed boy being picked on and cursed at by other white kids. Not sure if the parents are made aware that their children are bullying others, but they should. The teachers here should be ashamed to let such behavior happen in their classes.

We've been going here for years, and they have always been great. They are very attentive to the kids and helpful with the kids emotional needs. Even with large classes, they are able to give kids focus and notice when they're struggling or having an off day. EPIC is instrumental in the physical and mental maturity of my two young boys. For over a year now, my boys have attended both the afterschool program and instructional classes, which they have made a decision to routinely attend. They are excited about learning martial arts and they respect their coaches.

My oldest son has autism and he has been through several therapies since he was a preschooler and as he gets older, it is important to adjust his care based on his needs and EPIC has been a great addition to his support team. The training provided helps him continue improving on his mobility and physical health. It also teaches him respect, integrity, patience, and discipline. Most importantly, it contributes to building his confidence.

For my youngest, I am so impressed how the coaches can manage his high energy and take the time to critique him as well as celebrate his achievements. This builds trust between teacher and student. Their care in his training fuels his desire to pursue a black belt.

I truly appreciate EPIC coaches and staff for taking care of my boys. They all show care in their wellbeing and committed to their growth as strong, confident young men.

We are loving Epic Marshal art for our little Ninja, at first I just wanted something for summer for my 5 years old , but after our first session we had no doubt that we should sign him up and we didn’t stop there and decided he continues even after summer break, the coaches are so professional and sweet , they teach confidence, strength, self awareness, patience, concentration, they give your child respect and winning mindset with their belt ceremonies and belt test and … so much value. Our son has been taking classes at Epic for 8 months now, and he absolutely loves it! Not only is he having fun learning martial arts and staying physically active, but his coaches and his training reinforce important life skills we are teaching him at home like focus, discipline, integrity, confidence, and respect. The coaches and staff are fantastic. Every single one of them. They push the kids to do their best and be their best, but they also truly care for and pour into the students. As a parent, I feel well-informed and in the loop with everything that’s going on and how to best support my son’s training at home.

My son was also able to participate in a few weeks of the Epic summer camp program this summer, and it was a fantastic experience! I was as at peace knowing my child was having fun while also being safe and well taken care of during the day. As an added bonus, they worked all his energy out during the day with a variety of engaging activities. He slept GREAT those weeks he was at camp!

I wish I could give more than five stars because five just doesn't seem enough nor does mere words do justice to how I feel about Epic Martial Arts. We've been with them since 2019 and they'll have to kick us out because we have no intention of ever leaving. I've loved witnessing my daughter starting out as a bashful, skittish girl and blossoming into a confident, empowered young lady over the years under their leadership and guidance. Their creed and values align with our family's and they care about each child's development and success. My daughter is now a conditional black belt and now part of an instructor training program that promises to build and develop her leadership skills which is something she can use anywhere without hesitation to further her career, whether it's in the area of martial arts or not. She's made amazing friendships and the camaraderie is unmatched and meaningful. They not only celebrate each other's triumphs but encourage each other through the challenges. Our children have not started yet, however please read. We recently moved here and it was hard to adjust and feel comfy bc of the times of work and school schedule. On a whim we found this location on line. I called and I believe the gentleman I spoke with was Adam. Anyway after a good length of time discussion without being rushed I was so put at ease. Today my children, husband, and I came and had the tour sign up. we came early to get a sneak peak of the class and how it ran. Very impressed.
Mr. Paul greeted us and knew who we were which means he knows the children and staff.
We spent time on tour and going through their process. Between his profession knowledge and personality with the children we are so excited. 100% so excited. They are great with security as well which is a huge concern for us as parents.

Worst karate experience for my son, student to instructor ratio is 10:1. Ownership group only care about taking your money, instead of investing time and attention to the students. The most important factor is; students learn the technical, craft, and the discipline itself.

My son started evening classes just before turning 4. He struggled a little in the beginning with participating because of his attention span and it being something new. Now he looks forward to class and asks to go all the time. Mr. Wilkerson is great with the little ones.

I can't compare epic to other places around here because this is the only one we have been to but it works great for our family being able to attend multiple classes each week on the days and times that work for us and not having to stick to certain days only. Everyone looks forward to summer, but the change in routine can also be a challenge, especially for working parents. We trusted EPIC Martial Arts with our oldest boys and that was a mistake. I just want parents to be well informed before you make the same mistake.

After picking up our boys from camp our oldest son reported that one of the instructors “grabbed” our 6 year old and another child because they were talking. After talking with one of the owners I was assured that they would look into the incident. I followed up later that evening and was basically dismissed. They said they work 12 hours days and had already spent a significant amount of time dealing with this incident.

My wife went in person today to request to review their video footage. They refused and said they would no longer be able to service our family.

We did report the incident to the police, who requested and were granted access to review the video footage. The video corroborated our son’s story, although it was difficult to tell intent or force.

The incident itself shouldn’t have happened, but we are also extremely upset at how the situation was handled. They refused to allow us to review the footage, they never gave us an account of what happened from the perspective of the staff that was involved in the situation, and they never took responsibility for what happened or apologized.

Parents, do your due diligence when leaving your children in someone else’s care.

Love it so far. We have been going since the beginning of the summer. We even got to have a birthday party there. My son loved it and all his friends really enjoyed it. No better place for your children to train in martial Arts or use after school program, they even do day care during school breaks, all whilst under the supervision guidance and care of martial arts experts, a safer place I doubt exists.

They recently added Brazilian jiu-jitsu with Professor Robert Peters and Guard up Training an excellent addition, great people training together with a common goal. All ages too, from preteen to 50+ both male and female. Great instruction in a very safe and friendly environment.

We have two children enrolled in Karate our daughter 9 red black belt and our son 13 testing soon for his second degree Black Belt, who recently also took up BJJ with Guard up and seems to be enjoying it.

GREAT staff help make it a perfect place to train either Karate or BJJ with the added benefit of afterschool and camp to members and None members, well worth a visit.

I have seen so many improvements in his home and school life because they not only teach karate but teach them concepts such as integrity, self control, perseverance etc. I have never seen my son commit to something so easily and it’s all a direct result of the investment of the staff to each student on an individual basis. They teach them in a way that even the most novice student can understand and follow. Highly recommend!!

My son began his instruction with the Little Ninjas program. We had tried t-ball before and his level of anxiety just wouldn't allow for a positive experience. When we enrolled him at Epic, it took a few tries with the instructors paying extra attention to him but they were able to coax him out of his shell and he began having fun. Unfortunately, the anxiety returned when it was time to graduate to the Discovery program. He refused to get on the mat with the other children and it became a massive chore to try to get him to participate. It seemed all hope was lost and worried us so much that we considered therapy.

This is when Mr. Paul, Mr. Wilkerson, and Mr. Gasaway stepped in. They spent time, mostly one on one, with my son, pulling him away from the class and focusing on his development and shyness. The goal was to reintegrate him with the class while not letting him fall behind but also to build his confidence and show him that he was on par with the other kids. It was challenging for them and they had to compromise some of their martial arts values to get him to that point (he can be quite stubborn). What amazes me is that they did this with a smile on their face the entire time. They never faltered with him and never let him feel like he was a burden. More importantly, they never let us feel that we were intruding or infringing on their time. My son adores them and respects them as a result.

Finally, he began joining the class and has been progressing on the class' level. If you were to look at him today, you would never know there had ever been an issue as he participates in everything they do and absolutely loves going to his sessions. They have taught him respect, self control, and have motivated him to open up to new experiences.

I know this was long but I don't know how to express my gratitude without diving into the story. This review has been a long time coming...I'm terrible about singing praises where deserved!

This team is exceptional. They are amazing with kids, have a blast during their sessions, and truly enjoy what they do. Mr. D, wasn't there during the ordeal with my son but he is just as enthusiastic and a pleasure to watch lead the class. His (and all of the instructors') mannerisms with the kids makes this an outstanding environment. Pure and simple, it's fun...and that's what it needs to be.

Mr.paul was rude to my grandmother she trying to take me out for about a month and she said that mr.paul said he cant talk now "cause he was busy with summer camp" also all they teach us is how to punch and kick and form we would like to Learn more and also we do exercise that hard and i felt like it just a day care for people that there mom at work, but mr.Wilkerson was ok same as mr.d and mr.gassaway and i call mr.paul mr.hypocrite

Our little boy loves going to Epic. They are so good with the kids. I'm quite impressed with how well Mr. Wilkerson and Mr. D, his two instructors, interact with the younger children. They know how to motivate them as well as having fun and giving their young exposure to martial arts a positive experience. I've also had the opportunity to watch them instuct older, more advanced groups and am impressed with their approach there, as well, regarding discipline and control. It's clear that they pay attention to their students' strengths and weaknesses and take the time to work with them to improve both. Their focus on honor and integrity is especially important. And hey, their summer day camp is fantastic! Our son has gone to two different weeks and loved every minute of it...he didn't want to come home! Highly recommend them, you won't be disappointed.

We love Epic Martial Arts! We started our son in classes when he was four years old and needed some help with his concentration and self control. We felt martial arts would be a great a outlet for all his energy and overall good physical activity. We absolutely LOVE EPIC!!! My oldest daughter has severe anxiety and they work with her one on one and have done WONDERS in just a few months with helping to alleviate what years of scouts and other activities her therapist suggested we try, couldn't fix.
