GetFIT by Whit is a private studio in Marietta owned by Whitney Remington. She works with clients on a 1 on 1 basis to reach their health & fitness goals whether it's to gain strength, flexibility, lose weight, and so much more! She primarily uses a Pilates reformer machine, weights, bands, and Pilates springboard. If you have musculoskeletal issues, she has experience working with individuals who need modifications!
Whitney is a Pilates and Corrective Exercise Specialist with over 9 years of total experience! She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Kennesaw State University in 2016 and her ACSM Certified Personal Trainer certification in 2018. She is passionate about helping people reach their healthiest lifestyle!

Whitney does an amazing job as a personal trainer. I met with her for an hour session two and a half weeks ago, and she diagnosed a muscle imbalance and weakness involving my hamstrings and my gluteus muscles. She gave me a specific workout to address my problem. I
have been doing the daily workout for the last two and a half weeks, and I have experienced such improvement in restoring a muscle balance when I'm going on long hikes in the woods. In the past 4 years I have sought help from physical therapists at different times. Brittany was more attentive, more specific, and gave me a better routine then any of the physical therapists that I saw. She promptly texted me the list of exercises and videos that she took of me during the session.
. With her expertise, she enabled me in one session to greatly improve my muscle balance and to renew my ability to go on longer hikes in the woods.

My decision to work with Whitney is one of the best things I have done for myself in years! I have gained strength and confidence and feel so much better, mentally and physically.

Whitney is extremely knowledgeable (and educated) about body work, movement and corrective exercise and is razor focused on each stretch or exercise being executed correctly - for safety and maximum impact.

I also love that Whitney “meets you where you are” and knows how to modify exercises according to your strength and skill level. I never feel discouraged - rather encouraged that I CAN do it, and if I can’t, that we will get there! Whitney works with clients of all ages, body types and fitness levels.

Whitney incorporates hand weights, resistance bands, stretching and classic reformer/Pilates movements (among other things) into every session. No two are alike, but they all are fun (Whitney is a delight!) and challenging. I leave every class stronger and happier.

Communication/scheduling is always easy and efficient, and I love the location and studio!

Highly recommend! I had 2 major strokes in 2018 and went through months of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. Once I was released from outpatient, I started working with Whitney to address my muscular weakness and balance issues. I made significant progress and also lost weight! I have Type 2 Diabetes and the exercise program and nutrition guidance helped to lower my A1C! I improved so much that I didn’t need a cane anymore! She is patient and truly cares for her clients. She’s knowledgeable in how to help and is able to offer modifications which it’s important for a stroke survivor!

Highly recommend Whitney! The one on one sessions have been super beneficial in helping me isolate my weaknesses and strengthening those particular areas. I'm already seeing results after 10 sessions with her. She keeps an eagle eye on my form and does a great job of making modifications when needed, then progressing and pushing me a little more once I've improved. She's good at explaining things, especially to someone like me whose unfamiliar with pilates. Whitney is also very supportive and encouraging. Be prepared to do a little homework at home. It goes a long way to make the most out of your sessions with her!

Whitney is the REAL DEAL when it comes to personal training and Pilates. I am super picky about with whom I work, especially when it comes to proper biomechanics. Whitney pays such great attention to my form and corrects me when she sees me falling in to a compensation pattern (body cheating). She develops a personalized plan of movement to help me balance areas of weakness with areas of strength.
