Disappointing Experience After Years of Commitment
Our daughter has been attending Gwinnett Gymnastics Center for almost five years, and unfortunately, we’ve seen very little improvement in her skills. For the last couple of years, the quality of coaching and follow-up has noticeably declined — the tutors don’t seem to give kids the proper attention or guidance they need to grow.
When we decided to pull her out, the staff member named Mary handled it very poorly. She didn’t ask why we were leaving, how they could improve, or even try to retain us as a long-term family. Her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, simply saying, “Okay, you’re done,” and that was it.
After so many years of loyalty, we expected at least a little care or appreciation. Sadly, we left feeling disappointed and undervalued.

I am really disappointed that I signed up my daughter at this place. First of all, even though the class is scheduled to start at 7:15pm, they always start late, around 7:22 or later. And then because of some kids who don’t behave and waste time, the time will pass and the kids won’t be able to cover what they were supposed to be doing for the day. The coach don’t care and she just let them waste the time, at the cost of the rest of the kids. I wish I could give 0 or below. ,

My daughter had been practicing at GGC for about eight months now, and she loves it. The instructions are friendly, the kids all get along well.

so, i went here for 3-4 years, did competitive for 2, and it was terrible on my mental health loll. the first year competitive year was fine, but one of the co captains on my team was really mean to me, and i told the coaches so many times, and they didn’t actually care. they were also had CLEAR favorites, and didn’t really try to coach u unless u got good scores. my second year, there were a lot of new people with a larger group, so not much coaching happened. one of the coaches would threaten us that if we didn’t win competitions, then we would have to do a bunch of practices with conditioning, and it never happened (thank God) but she would also tell us that if we won a competition then she would give us an ice cream party, yet only the girls who got really good scores got to have it. there was a lot more yelling going on then teaching. there was also a lot of disrespect from the owners towards a specific coach while i was there, so he left. the owners were very disagreeable, and rude. they also have recently let their daughter take over, and she is really rude and racist towards some girls. please do not send your kids here me as a person who used to compete with this gym do not recommend it, there are so many other gyms you could spend your money on instead of this place. the gym was also really dirty and i got a fungus one time probably from the foam pit!

If I could give this a zero star I would. My daughters were told after going this place for a year that they could find somewhere else to go. This started out by asking a question to the young lady that works at the front desk as to what class my daughter should be in because she had just turn 5 years old and she had to be move up. I will not have my two girl going to an environment that think they should find somewhere else to go.

If I could give zero I could. The gym is disgusting. Not clean at all. Coackroaches running around and nothing was done about it. The owner and the owners wife were very disrespectful. Do not send your child here.

We did a trial run for my 3 year old, and I'm so glad we didn't go ahead and subscribe. Within 5 minutes we witness the coach, Kathy, yelling at the group of 2-3 year olds, manhandling a child who wasn't 'behaving' including dragging him along by his arm, telling a child who tripped it was her fault and she'd better keep going, and warning toddlers 'you'd better behave, Jesus is watching'.

I’m a gymnast here and I trust and love all the great coaching staff here. Coaches do more than just coach you; they become part of your family. The coaches look out for the gymnasts' best interests! Overall, this gym is fantastic, and I would give it a 10/10 recommend.

I started at GGC a year ago and I was a bronze. Now I am a level six training level 7. The coaches may be strict but it’s because they are dedicated to making champions! Coach Aretha couldn’t love us anymore than she does! They are about form and technique and making all the girls united as a family! Over 10/10 love it here❤️

Gwinnett Gymnastics Center could be a good gym however the girls are not properly trained. They get very little condition, yet the coaches will body shame, the get NO form work. And the girls have to find there own ways to better themself the coaches don’t do that for them. The coach’s spend more time yelling then actually coaching. There is also a lot of favoriting. The coaches favor the girls that get better scores. This kind of training is not beneficial to the team as a whole and only leaves 1 or 2 strong/ high scoring girls. There is also a lot of drama between coaches and it is not professional. Over all this gym is not a good place to go if you want ur child to excel in gymnastics. I would not recommend unless you are just doing the sport for fun. The

I went to this place at the age of 8 and stayed there for about 2 years but then I stopped for a long time because I didn’t have time because I had many other things going on. I honestly really liked this place. Right now I’m 12 years old and I’m considering going back. This place was a great experience and I absolutely loved it. Especially the summer program it was really fun. The reason I’m giving it a 4 star instead of 5 is because one of the coaches was really mean and didn’t encourage me at all. She taught us nothing. She would humiliate me when I couldn’t do something right instead of helping me. I don’t think the other girls liked her either. She wasn’t supportive and would rush everything like I was 8 lady leave me alone. She couldn’t do a single thing her self so she made one of the girls show us how to do stuff it’s like she wasn’t even our coach. I don’t really remember her name well I think it started with an A but I’m not sure. But anyways luckily I was able to get a different coach. I remember her name well. It was Coach Fizza. I absolutely loved her she’s the complete opposite of my other coach. She would always get me less stressed and would actually help people who needed help. And I remember always getting stressed out but she would help me and make it much easier. SHOUT OUT TO CAOCH FIZZA!!!! And unlike my last coach, Ms Fizza could actually do the gymnastics to help us. The only thing I don’t like about ggc is that coach. Overall this place is amazing I’m actually thinking about going back. Highly recommend but I really hope no one ends up with that coach.

my husband dropped off my daughter here not knowing that he was dropping her off early he thought the class was about to start the young lady told him that it was ok and she could sit there until they allied her class. She was doing a make up class and we were told to bring her at the time we came however, that time was not the right time but not our fault. When my husband came back to pick her up and as they were leaving the young lady followed my husband to the door and told him that they are not babysitters and he needs to drop off and pick up and the correct time. My husband was so surprised by her saying this that he couldn’t respond the way he wanted because my daugher was standing right there as she told him this. He told the young lady that he didn’t appreciate her talking to him that way and that he would follow up with the manager. I then called several times and the young lady answered and was very rude and would not or a manager or owner on the phone. She the. Proceeded to hang up on me several times because I kept calling back. A day later the actual owner got word of what she did and called us personally and apologized and said he was sorry for her behavior and it was not acceptable and that the young lady would be suspended for few days and he would accomadatw is in any way. He also said she was fairly new. I’m not sure if she was suspended or not but my daughter finished out the month and did not return. Has anyone had anything like this happen to them because she really wants to go back in gymnastics but I’m just not sure????

The Gwinnett Gymnastics Center is a great place for kids to get thwir exercise in and learn new activities. They have a foam pit, balance beams, high bars, and many other activities. The classes start at 2 year olds and go up in age group and experience from there. The staff is well trained and very patient with the kids!

I am really grateful to be back!!! My daughter left at 3 because we moved and now I’m driving from Covington for practice and conditioning here. The level of professionalism and expertise is astounding and Ms. Aretha is everything one could ask for. I admire her sternness and ability to reach out and relate to each child. Assessing their areas of weakness and then shaping and building confidence while teaching technique. Proud Gymnast Mom.

Let me start by saying that Coach Aretha and Coach Angie are truly AMAZING!! Seriously they are knowledgeable, loving and motivating. Coach Aretha has even become family to myself and my kiddos. The reason I am giving the facility a 1 is due to the lack of consistency, motivation and overall experience. There are some coaches that do not even seem to want to be there and unfortunately it comes at a cost to the children. The more seasoned coaches have far too much responsibility and as a result are unable to fully focus on training the children. This is painful for me to write because of my love for the people mentioned above. I do understand that things happen but when I am paying for a service I expect to get it 100%.

If your child don't already know gymnastics this gym is not a good fit. The classes are large and the coaches will skip over your child and move on to the next one if your child is struggling. So far I have experienced no value for the money.

I am sad to report this place didn't live up to my expectations. And simply put, I was expecting the WOW Summer Camp program to be a place that my kids would enjoy some gymnastic instruction, make some new friends and have fun. What happened was that the other kids in the camp were "rude, mean and sassy" (that is a quote from my 8 year old daughter). In addition, during the trip to the pool, my child reported having been kicked in the face by someone else at the pool. When I asked if she talked to her camp counselor, she said she couldn't find one... My kid couldn't find one of the supervising adults with a group of 14 camp kids while they were at a public pool?? Ummmmmmmmmmm. I think not. I'm happy that my kids have been rescued for the day -- and that I only paid for one day of camp. We are going back to GGA Camp. It's totally out of the way, but totally worth it.

I loved totsies gym which is for 3 and 4 year olds. Its the cutest set up for little ones. You wont see that at other gyms. The little ones are totally away from the bigger kids so it helped my daughter stay more focused. She had to move up the week she turned 5 which I was afraid of but she is actually doing great! She learned how to do the bridge at Totsies and now in WOW she has learned how to do a cartwheel in like 2 classes!! I tried to teach her the cartwheel for days and it wasn't happening. Her coach had her doing it in 2 classes!! I love watching my baby on the beam with a huge smile on her face. There is a bit of waiting around but that happens in soccer, karate, and pretty much any other sport where there is 1 coach vs. multiple kids!
I've had to switch my daughters class twice and I didn't have a problem about it at all with the front desk. I'm loving how much my baby is learning and how well training is balanced with having fun!!

Over the summer I took my daughter here. She seem to like it there for the most part. I went on to the site to sign her up for classes. The site allowed me to make the request. When I called to inquire about the request. I was advised that there was not any openings, and that I never made the request per her computer. I advised the person on the phone that I have a screen shot with the request and the code. She did not seem to care. She offered to put her on a waiting list and was extremely condescending. When I asked why did the site allow me to make the request. We will not be going back there.

We spent a few seasons with GGC. The coaches stood around a lot, and there was a lot of standing in line with the girls waiting for their turn on the rotation. When the girls were standing around they more played together, talked & were not focused. Not a lot of correcting through warm-ups, and no clear direction if girls were on their own on side work. Pre-team was the same, but more expensive and twice per week. We could never get through to the front desk, and leaving messages doesn't mean a call back will happen. The gym always has an old, musty, sweat smell too - the upstairs where parents sit is not sanitary at all!! We moved gyms and a lot of other girls have too, due to the same reasons. If I had questions or call for information it seemed I was bothering them. They don't smile often at the front desk, and the owners are rarely in a good mood. They always seemed too busy to be of any help. When we left, by letter as they require, the letter was literally snatched out of my hand, the front desk never looked up at me to say anything. Dan told us not to come back. That if they are not good enough to stay, they won't be good enough later & they don't want "gym hoppers". Dan, the owner, was clear and very blunt about this. We won't be back... no worries there!! I've heard him with other parents as well. I don't want the same experience for others - find an alternate gym before you waist your time and money on this one. There are much better gyms that actually keep the girls busy, working out and learning faster than this one. The owner, Dan just always seems angry, and is just rude! I don't need this for my daughter!!
