I never imagined I would have to explain to my 3 year old daughter why she was no longer allowed to return to gymnastics, a place that was supposed to encourage joy, play, and growth. Instead of nurturing her, this program allowed a teacher to single her out and remove her from class for behaviors that every parent of a 3 or 4 year old knows are completely normal and we see at every class.

The moment will stay with me forever. My little girl, confused and embarrassed, walking out with the new teacher while other parents looked on in shock. One parent even whispered that after all their child does, they could not believe their child had never been removed. Another parent said they had never seen a teacher behave this way toward any child before. And yet, this happened to mine.

What made it worse was the silence. The teacher walked past me, as if I didn’t exist, avoiding eye contact, refusing to say anything as if we were invisible. The disrespect was deafening. We had paid nearly $300 in 2 months for this experience, and the only thing my daughter walked away with was humiliation and rejection.

I am a firm believer in accountability, which is why I asked her ballet school and her preschool if they had ever experienced issues with her behavior. Both confirmed she is a joy in class and has never been a problem. That leaves me with the painful conclusion that the issue lies not with my daughter, but with the way this gymnastics program chose to treat her differently.

No parent should ever have to explain to their toddler why they were excluded from an activity they loved. No child should be made to feel unwelcome at such a tender age. My daughter deserved patience, guidance, and compassion, not to be paraded out of class as an example.

If you are considering enrolling your child here, please think about what happened to mine. Imagine paying hundreds of dollars only to have your toddler walked out of class in tears. Imagine having to watch your child’s excitement for gymnastics replaced with confusion and sadness. This was not just disappointing, it was heartbreaking. I will be filing a formal complaint and will make sure my daughters experience will not go unheard. God bless every child who walks through your doors, because no parent should ever have to console their toddler after being discarded like they are unworthy of belonging.

There is no communication. When issues happen, they don't let parents know at all. The coaches are different for each class also.. A child in there was pushing and hitting my son, and they were not aware of it..I informed them twice my son has high functioning autism, and they claimed they were not aware. So instead of letting me know there were any issues, the office manager emailed me and told me my son needed to take time off because of the issues he was having in class . I observed every class, and did not see anything too concerning. I am not a coach. I just saw my son having fun and jumping around..He was not in the way of other kids or classes. thought If there were issues, the coaches would communicate it with me. I would have worked with the coaches to make sure my son was not misbehaving..So instead of being able to correct the situation, I am left with minimal details, a hurt child and a bad taste in my mouth ..

Expensive building and facility.... Got to pay for that!
In the mean time there is no cell reception and they do not share their WIFI, this means I can not work while I have to wait for my child!
Will not renew, time to go somewhere else.

Our first time here and we were thoroughly impressed! We have tried out a lot of youth gyms in the Fayette area and this is hands down the nicest, biggest, most organized, friendliest and most fun one yet!

Clean facility, kind staff. Gymnasts seemed well prepared for competitions. Only problem was the concession stand was short on food and closed really early.

6 year old g-babe attends here. She loves it. I keep her in gymnastics because she experienced nurse's elbow by the time she was 2 years old. Small price to pay for upper body strength.

If there was an option for zero stars that's what I would give. Let me start off by saying this gym has a TON of customers and TON of kids on waitlists...let me be clear when I say that it is not because they are good or have great staff. Negative, this is simply a supply and demand issue, as there are very few gyms in the area to chose from. The fact that there are only 41 google reviews about an organization that probably has close to 500 or more students should tell you that it's not worth most peoples time. Keep reading.

We had been a loyal customer for 2 years and both my daughters attended, 1 was on pre-team and moved up to team for the duration of our time there. Amongst many issues like zero communication from coaches, lack of information about competitions or your child's progression, the business is poorly ran. I firmly believe they will do anything to increase revenue at the expense of children. The gym changed the times for practices during the summer to 1pm - 4pm. Once I was notified of this change, I immediately asked if they considered working parents when they made this decision. The answer I received was that I could have my child car pool with a stranger, 3 x week for 8 weeks. Obviously that was a subpar answer and an unrealistic answer. This gym does not allow a competitive gymnast to take a break for the summer, if they don't attend practice, they are kicked off of the team. Therefore, I had no option but to pull my daughter from the team. When I did so, through email, I received no confirmation of receipt. I called, received no call back. I finally went in and spoke to the Teams Director and she proceeded to tell me my daughter, who has been on a team for 2 years and COMPLETED this years season, was "uninvited" from the end of season banquet. Shocked, I repeated what she said and clarified by saying "So my daughter, who completed an entire season on the team, is not invited to attend the team banquet in a couple weeks?" Her response: "That's correct. She's a quitter. If she quit and comes to the banquet, then it will spread like a "bug" and other girls will want to start quitting". Dumbfounded, I walked out steaming with anger that my daughter who consistently placed in the top 3 during every competition, worked extremely hard all season, and who was a teammate to the other girls, was NOT ALLOWED, in fact, UNINVITED from the team's banquet.

A long story, with a lot more details, but I'll end with this. If you are looking for an organization that will help teach your children valuable life skills, increase and build character, DO NOT GO HERE. They are solely focused on revenue at the expense of children. Needless to say, I pulled my other daughter out of her rec class and will never do business with Gym Sports Academy again.

I started back in January to get my son started in gymnastics. There is poor communication and lacking coordination. First it started off as an hour session they told me it went to 30 minutes I suppose once she learned Darian was special needs. Between the coordinator and the gymnastics teacher they can't decide who makes the scheduling and how to make it. The last thing I was told I could come as needed and adjust schedule online in the system and or ask the gymnastics teacher Tammy her schedule. So today I come been waiting since 1:00pm since my son got out of school. The gymnastics teacher Tammy said she couldn't do today because I needed to make a schedule with her. The last time we spoke she specifically said she her schedule was always free at those times on Tuesdays. She said she could work me in at 3:00pm that day though. So, she had me waiting for another whole hour to tell me at 3:30 as she so rudely sat there and not communicated that she couldn't see Darian at 3:00pm. So now because she has so many people without disabilities, she has to attend to their life schedules. I'm pretty sure no one else has to schedule except for me and Darian because he has special needs. I will never come back to this facility again. They are unprofessional when it comes to making and creating a certain schedule on a calendar. The back and forth and back and forth on who makes the scheduling.

The staff had no problem leaving several children at a birthday party in tears. When I approached the employee she laughed about it and then slammed the office door in my face. There are other good gymnastics/tumbling gyms in the area that actually care about the kids they teach. Don’t waste your time with these people.

I have been going to this gym for 8 years now. They have incredible service, and a wonderful, huge new space. I encourage more people to go to GSA because it’s a place for everyone. Gymnastics in my opinion is about focus and having fun. This gym certainly offers that.

Gym Sports Academy is a professional gym lead by two dedicated leaders, Igor and Mariana. They are A USA Gymnastics (USAG) and AAU member club. I love the communication and respect we get from the front office to the coaching. The coaches are teachers, and the children enjoy learning and having fun. Katie and the staff are overly friendly and helpful. I really appreciate how concerned they are with our well being. If you want a friendly place to send your child to learn gymnastics, then this is the place to go.

We had such a good experience with the mommy and me toddler class! Coach Melissa was so good with my nonverbal 3 year old son on the autism spectrum. I thought gymnastics was something that he would enjoy but was so nervous that his limitations with communication would hinder us from having a good time. Melissa was so patient with him and such an encouragement to me as a mama trying to figure out this special needs life. It was worth every (reasonable priced) penny, and we hate that our schedule doesn’t allow us to attend anymore! Thanks for being so great, GSA!

I liked to go to gym sports acedamey for gymnastics classes but, I noticed the coaches wouldn't spot you in many skills.i was in the advanced class and we did jumps on the trampoline. The coaches said they had to see what I could do for a few months before I could do more advanced things.it never happend so I tried another place called the rock athletes.i went to a try out and they barely knew me and already spotted me in a backhandspring.the only problem is that the rock is only tumbling so hope this helped
