HIGHLY OFFENDED & DISAPPOINTED !!!! Don’t let the size of the facility, the variety of the programs and instructors smiling faces mislead you into thinking that this is a place of integrity. They handle accusations poorly and their HR procedures are little to none. Our 6 yr old daughter was on the Developmental Team and was discriminated against, targeted and labeled. Both Alba and Melodie has been her instructor during the past 3 yrs. The parents of our team have always taken pride of having a great group of parents and girls that all got along. The girls have had outings and attended each other birthday parties.
A few months ago one parent made accusations and kept reporting that our daughter, in their words, was “bullying,” her child during practice. We were never informed of who the parent or child was. We also were at every practice and never witnessed such behavior with any of the girls. Our child attends school and participates in other outside programs also. There’s never been any issues or complaints, nor have we ever heard of such harsh words to describe her.
After 2 meetings with Melodie and Alba about a parent reporting this, their next step was kicking her off of the team once the parent withdrew her children a month later. That parent had other issues with GAA, yet targeted our child before leaving. There was never an investigation, we were never told what the specific accusations were other than “bullying”, and we were never told who was reporting such claims. We had to figure out who it was later. During the 2nd meeting we asked to have a meeting with whoever this parent was, but they never came forward, just kept the accusations going anonymously. They are about the money and obviously could care less about investigating accusations. I’ve heard of other issues there but never thought it would happen to us. Jacobo, Melodie and Alba had a meeting with the parents and made our daughter out to be this horrendous, bullying person and that they now want to protect the other girls on the team from.
We are shocked and devastated by how they handled this situation and treated her as guilty without investigating a parent’s accusations. We will never trust Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta (GAA) again. BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!
Response to your Reply: that’s such a politically correct response. It has nothing to do with how our child was discriminated against and labeled. Your policy for confidentiality should also include, notifying a member of what the accusations are when another member make such claims. Basically, you’re saying that anyone can accuse someone of something, there’s no investigation, you can’t share what the accusations are yet you treat it as if it’s true and then have the person being accused removed from the team. Once I saw what was going on, we chose for her to never return to your facility. GAA has an injustice, lack of integrity, discriminatory, bias culture. We will continue to make all families that we come in contact aware.

I was a visiting coach at a men's clinic and was very impressed with the facility and the cleanliness. The staff was also very helpful, fun and nice. Even as a coach from another gym, I would recommend GAA

The facility itself isn’t bad at all, and the coaches are wonderful with the kids. However, the woman at the front desk is extremely rude. I was really hoping for my daughter to return this year, but I couldn’t even get the help I needed because she completely ignored me. I stood in line, waiting for my turn, only for her to push me aside to assist another person who casually walked up beside me. After that, she acted as if I wasn’t even there. Unfortunately, there was no one else at the desk I could ask for help from, which was incredibly frustrating. Because my daughter and myself enjoy coming . Hopefully this issue gets resolved soon.

The whole lvl 7 team has quit because of the bad coaching. That team was #1 in the nation and they lost out on really good girls because of the verbal abuse that the comp teams face from certain coaches.

Absolutely love GAA. We’ve been coming here since 2020. I’ve had a few different coaches but I do say Alyssa and Davie are the best. I’ve seen so much improvement on my oldest daughter ever since I was able to get a class with Alyssa it’s insane. They’re both very hard to get since they book up pretty fast. Everyone at the front desk has always been extremely nice to us.

Shout out to Davie and Charlie B. My boys should run them ragged but they are young and fun. Both GREAT and patient!
A great place to take your kids! My six year old is in ninja class and my two year old is in tumbling. I want to give a thank you to Trinity, she has lovingly corralled both my boys two weeks in a row. Last week sitting on the floor with my upset six-year-old and talking him through some feelings… this week literally hand-in-hand with my wild two year old. Good job hiring some great people. Both their teachers have been kind and patient!
Additional shout out for Cami - she got a kick out of wrangling the 2 year old as well.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
Watched the more muscular woman teacher call out a CHILD soooo badddd infront of all of the children’s peers and said she was WATCHING her in the bathroom put toilet paper in the toilet and the stall got clogged. And she was upset it was now clogged… (why are you watching another child in the bathroom?) The child looked like she wanted to cry, LUCKILY her mother came up and could tell something was wrong. I’m new, and didn’t know who was who. But I did say “you shouldn’t be talking to a child like that, ESPECIALLY infront of other kids.” Because she didn’t talk to the mother like that! It’s a shame that people feel they can talk to children any way! COMMON SENSE! That teacher is BEYOND obnoxious and she’s a liability. You literally have to watch your children day in and day out around others because people are truly unhinged. Thank goodness I haven’t trusted leaving my child for their money grab “parent nights out” whew!
The parking lot gets full fast, and I accidentally parked in the “employee of the month” parking spot and was HARASSED to move my car. Oh sure, I’ll move even though I pay HUNDREDS a month.
Was lied to at the beginning of the season, I was told that my monthly payment included weekly sessions, and then the end of the year competition. Nope, I have to pay for the competition. Now tell me how much sense this makes…. You can opt in up until 4/13 for the competition which is on 5/20! What? Less than a month to learn a routine?
They have A LOT to learn, and they need to focus on more important things! Like not being racist. The lady at the desk is AWFUL with communication! Extremely rude and condescending. (Shorter/ a littler older) sorry I don’t know names.
Also, whyyyyyy do they expect children to relay messages. My children let me know that they can “move up” to the next level when I feel the teacher should be letting me know? They just really need to get their stuff in order. By the time they are done with one class it’s on to the next time slot of classes !!! MONEY MONEY MONEY! No follow ups, no communication about how your child is doing, nothing.
Get it together GAA!

I think all teachers should only wear socks instead of shoes when walking around all the equipment. This is not a very hygienic practice considering that children jump and roll around on the training stations.
Most teachers wear socks during class, but I still see some wearing shoes and walking around every training stations.

There was a lady ( I won't say any names for privacy) who trained my daughter. We started to feel uncomfortable with her lack of interest in helping her achieve abilities. We pointed this out to the staff, but just decided to no longer attend. I would never go back.

My 4 year old son has been attending GAA for a year now and he has made great strides in his athleticism! His coach is Miss Addi and she's amazing! She does a wonderful job with redirecting the little ones whose attention spans are so short. If my son is having a particularly hard time, she'll get down to his level to talk to him and give him a comforting hug. Which I appreciate. I highly recommend GAA for all aspiring athletes!

Such an awful experience. I had my son's birthday there they told me 1 hr 30 min (from 5:30-7:00) for $250.00 and I have 15 minutes before party to set up my decorations, they also promised to have 2 staff to work and play with kids and provide forks and plates.
When we came we saw two young teenagers and they just stand and watched kids literally nothing, they provide 13 forks for a party of 20 adults and 15 kids, the main lights had no power, all trash cans fully loaded because of previous party and by the time when we said goodbye to our guests and try to pack our stuff and leave the door the time was 7:10 and they charge my card for another $75.00 because I refused to leave on time 🤷🏻♀️ Very unprofessional very unorganized and out of my expectation not as they promised at all.

This place is the worst!!! I let the front desk know last week that I would pulling my child for the summer and possibly returning for the fall. They said I was paid up till 5/7 which would be my two weeks. This past Saturday my child’s teacher Alyssa, accuses me of not paying and claims that my child’s last day was last week. Since when do you pay for two extra weeks but are not allowed to come to class. Alyssa who is my child’s teacher lied to my face and almost caused a scene when she said she was told 3 weeks ago that my child would unenrolling. Unless the school had some way of seeing into the future there is no way they would have know till I physically told them on 4/23. Mind you I have paid in full the first of every month for 2 plus years now. They automatically deduct it every 1st.

Highly disappointed in the staff. My son attended a day camp over winter break. We accidentally left his lunch on the counter at home. After telling staff he forgot his lunch they offered him chips and a candy cane and called it good. He was there for 7 hours without proper food and no one let us know. We will not be returning.

Today was our first day at GAA. As a former gymnast, coach and gymnastics director, I can have unfairly high standards for safety, quality, and customer service (even when I try to only use my mom lens). As we walked in today my toddler and I were both greeted with big smiles (could see them even under the masks) and helpful guidance for class procedures. Coach Tayla greeted us as soon as she finished up with her previous group. She took my little one’s hand and began chatting with her; and all I had to do was head upstairs because she and her assistant coach made my 2 year old feel so welcome and safe. As I watch not only my daughter’s class; but the classes around the gym, I saw safe practices and procedures. There were friendly staff and focused gymnasts of all levels enjoying the sport in a safe, disciplined, positive and fun environment. Coaches seemed organized, happy and engaged. The facility seemed clean (as much as a gymnastics facility can be). After practice Coach Tayla took time to chat about my daughter’s first practice, which I know can be challenging for coaches between classes. With my gymnastics background, I was hoping for a place where I could put my faith in the coaches who value safety and provide quality instruction that would allow me to relax and enjoy my daughters gymnastics experience as a supportive mommy and not a former coach. I believe we found it! My daughter begged all the way home for more classes today and tomorrow; so I know she’d give 5 stars too. So, if she has her way, we’ll end up there a couple nights a week! We just moved back to GA and I am glad we landed on GAA. I’m looking forward to more great experiences there!

A gymnastics academy offering classes from toddler through high school age. The classes include recreational through competition gymnastics, tumbling, day clinics, summer camps, and even parents' night out.
We started going when our daughter was 3. There are a number of different instructors, so we were able to find a couple that she really works well with. All of the staff is wonderful with children, so it was just a matter of finding the right couching style for our child. It's amazing to see how quickly the kids progress, gain strength, and learn new skills - gymnastic sure, but also listening, waiting in line, and following complex instructions, etc.

My daughter went here for about 9 months. Her instructor Lauren was wonderful and very delightful however the front desk is lacking. I don't care how awesome the instructor was when the customer service given by Allison was horrible, first impressions are everything. We had to take my daughter out and we sent in our 2 week notice then we got a bill in the mail. When I called to question why we got a bill I was told by Allison that they just needed it by the 15th of the month (we sent it in on the 1st of the month) so she could have gone for those 2 weeks. When I asked if she could come in for the 2 weeks Allison says Ive never had anyone ask me that before. She then says "no she can't come in for the 2 weeks, did you not understand that?" Who gets an attitude with a customer and asks that?!!? She then says that she will take the balance off of the account and hangs up on me. I call back and she says "oh I thought we were done talking" Uh???? we were in the middle of a conversation????? Giving it 2 stars because Lauren was awesome, can't give anymore because of the horrible customer service.

I am taking my 5-star review down to a one-star review with a heavy heart. Beth was an incredible teacher, and GAA puts its all into making young gymnasts thrive. Sadly, when fall registration came, I did not act quickly enough and was left with a teacher who did not interact much with Presley. She spent much of the class slouched over waiting for her turn. I decided to withdraw her after trying a Saturday morning class, which just wasn't realistic given our schedule. So I turned in our two-week withdrawal. A few weeks later, our credit card was charged $35 even though we had given ample notice. When I spoke with staff, I was told that I had not given enough time. I was also told that they could not locate the withdrawal notice.
If you are going to invest in GAA, I would recommend that you find a teacher who has experience and passion. Should you choose to withdraw, make an extra copy of the letter to ensure that you are not overcharged.
My previous review was here:
This place is awesome! My three-year-old started a year ago. She has advanced quite a bit. She practices at home a lot. I love the professionalism that GAA offers. They have state-of-the-art equipment and top-notch teachers. (We have been very happy with Beth.)

We had a birthday party for my 3 year old granddaughter this past weekend and while the kids had fun on the obstacle course and the parachute games, the party room facilities/services left a lot to be desired! The place smells like cheesy feet from the time you hit the door and the staff was very unfriendly and nonchalant as they served food to the kids with their bare hands instead of using serving gloves. I asked the party hostess if they had serving gloves and she quickly brushed me off with a simple, "no we don't". She didn't try to use napkins or a fork to serve the chicken nuggets which would have been a great alternative. They didn't have ample utensils,etc.. Aside from that, they only allowed 30 minutes in the party room for food/cake/gifts for 15+ kids. I would have expected them to allot more time considering the food and number of kids in the party. Instead they were unprepared and rushed us through the process. This place should obviously stick to gymnastics and do away with hosting birthday parties as this is definitely not their area of expertise!
