Highland Yoga is truly one of the best yoga communities around. The moment you walk in, you feel welcomed and supported. Their studios are clean, calming, and beautifully designed, and the variety of classes they offer makes it easy to find something that fits your schedule and your goals. Whether you’re new to yoga or a regular practitioner, there’s always a class and a teacher that feels just right.

The instructors here are exceptional—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to helping you grow in your practice. Their guidance is thoughtful and consistent, and you can tell they love what they do. It really makes every class feel meaningful.

I also love that Highland Yoga has multiple studio locations, which makes getting to a class convenient no matter where you are. And their Black Friday special this year was incredible: 5 classes plus a yoga mat for only $125. Such a great value and a perfect way to stay committed heading into the new year.

My first class here was amazing. This is definitely what is missing from my fitness routine.

Update: I was on the fence about joining and then I took one of Maurine's classes, and that sealed the deal for me. I need her energy in my life, and I'm so excited for the next one.

Started at Highland Yoga a few years ago through a friend and then paused for a while. Came back and have enjoyed every class. The studio is always clean; they wipe and sanitize the floors between classes. Plus, I love that it's always hot yoga with varied classes available so if i'm not feeling a power flow, I can catch a vin+yin or a slow and steady flow. Would recommend to my friends :)

Great 30 day deal . I never experienced yoga before but having a month to slowly slide into the practice to see where you are at I’ve really appreciated the experience and time to find classes I like. Every class I think “oh that’s my new favorite instructor” and then the next class I feel the same way about that instructor. They have a very balanced team and now I have lots of favorite instructors! 😂

I have practiced at Highland yoga for the past year. There is a standard flow that all teachers use which provides predictability. Teachers are week-trained and bring their own flavor to the classes. As an experienced practitioner and certified yoga teacher, it meets my needs. However, I would like to see more knowledge of the yoga lineage, body positioning, and breath work.

We took Nick’s 9am Power Flow class on a Saturday - and it was fabulous. I hadn’t been to a yoga class in at least 7 years, and Nick was a great instructor. The pace was perfect - quite challenging but I also felt capable of most of the positions and movements. Nick was engaging and the setting of the class is lovely. I left feeling somehow both relaxed and exhausted - and like I was ready for the day! I have already been to a 2nd class (at the VaHi location) and have a 3rd booked. This was my re-entry to yoga but will likely become a full time member.

Big fan of Highland for a fast vinyasa slow. It's a very challenging and quick practice, feels very much like a moving meditation. If you're looking for slower, longer holds, or to learn new poses, it's not the best place for that. While each teacher has their unique sequences, they do have a template of poses that they include in almost every class, and they don't stray away from those poses for the most part (unless you're at a workshop). As a teacher at corepower yoga, I think it's a better place to level up your practice with new poses and inversions. If you're looking for a fun cardio challenge, highland is wonderful! Also love Shannon, Lauren S, Caron, Ina & TJ's classes.

I cannot properly express my gratitude for Highland Yoga. The emphasis on building strength, quieting my mind, and improving my practice has had a major positive impact on my life. I encourage any one at any skill level (trust me, I started with none!) to try it!

So far, so good. I've attended two classes here so far. It's a clean and well ventilated yoga studio with a nice and spacious reception area. The area has cubbies for your things, restrooms, and a water cooler in it. The studio temperature is turned to ~97° because it's hot yoga. They start lowering the temperature for the last 15 minutes or so (60 min class), and turning the fans on it appears. They have multiple classes to choose from, and you can do it on the site or app. You will want to bring a face towel for sweating, and if you're doing a high flow class, a yoga towel that grips your mat. If not, they rent yoga towels for $10 or sell them for $45, so it's best to bring your own. The two instructors I've had were good and I'd recommend.

I’ve been taking classes at HY for a couple of months and it gets the job done, it’s fine. I always feel refreshed from the workout after taking a class, but it’s not my favorite yoga experience. Some things to improve upon: music and culture. The music played during classes is extremely distracting and does not allow me to get into the flow and mindfulness of yoga. The music really makes it feel less like yoga and more like just a typical work out class. The culture of the studio is also cold and not particularly welcoming — first time I visited, I was not greeted, I was not given any kind of tour or orientation of the space. Since I’ve continued attending, I have not met any of the teachers, none have introduced themselves to me or asked about myself. This hasn’t been my experience at other studios, where teachers are a lot more engaging with students in an effort to understand who is in their class and make it more comfortable for folks to request support or modifications in their practice. This culture also makes it feel like this is a place to get a work out in, not to practice yoga. Overall, I’ve been practicing here because of convenience and proximity, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to take classes at this studio.

I’ve been going to Highland Yoga for two years now, and it’s honestly been a life-changing experience. The space is incredibly welcoming, and the instructors are not only skilled but genuinely care about each person’s growth. What I really love is the variety of classes. The heated Slow and Steady classes, in particular, have been a game-changer for me. They offer a perfect blend of gentle stretching and deep strengthening, and the heat adds an extra layer of relaxation and detoxification. I’ve been attending classes for 8 months or so now, and being newer to yoga I found it to be fun and challenging. My body definitely feels better after I leave each class. I’ve had nothing but kind, positive instructors who have their own twist on each class so it’s a little different every time.

Warm deep stretch is a great way to start the week. Vinyasa is a great workout but not as intense as Power Flow. For Power Flow, I would recommend making sure that you’ve eaten enough and have had enough water. There are a few of those classes where I could tell my body wasn’t quite ready for that workout - so make sure you nourish your body throughout the day before attending!

I think there is an area of opportunity for some of the instructors to let people land their poses before signaling for the next. I understand it’s supposed to be fast-paced - I am pretty fast. But even for me, sometimes it doesn’t feel like an efficient or effective pose or workout if we can’t even properly land it before moving on to the next. (This is mainly pertaining to Power Flow classes).

Atlanta traffic is wild - the Memorial location feels impossible to get to with the roads nearby it. I missed a 7:35 class but arrived at 7:40, so I almost made it but didn’t get to enter the studio to join. I recommended leaving way earlier than you think you need to because the traffic is bananas.

Overall, I’ve enjoyed my experience at Highland Yoga! It would be cool if the unlimited monthly membership included the events like sound baths - I was so excited to attend and didn’t end up going because it would’ve been an extra $30. I would’ve thought that an unlimited membership included events like that.

Absolutely loved my experience, to the quality of the classes and the hospitality of staff, everything was amazing. The only recommendation I have is to offer more variety of classes. Other than that I loved it all!! Thank you!!

Some of the yoga instructors don’t make the space welcoming for new students. They don’t speak or greet you. It was uncomfortable. Also they did not suggest any modified positions for new students knowing that there are new faces there. You can see who’s new when they sign in also.

As someone who just took their second yoga class ever I can say the experience has been amazing at Memorial. Lauren Salgado has provided an amazing space for someone new to learn and not feel intimidated. Highly recommend trying her classes and going to this location!

Highland Yoga (Memorial) has been such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I did a month of yoga and I did 2days out of every week. Hot Yoga & warm deep stretch is my favorite. The instructors are warm and polite and always creating a safe space to breathe. I’m definitely going to continue coming

Beautiful space! I go between Sandy Springs & Westside but this one might be growing on me as one of my new favorite locations. HY also does a great job w/ selecting studios with accessible & free parking for easy access. All studios are clean; they offer mats, blocks & water if needed. Heated Slow & Steady is my favorite class & I am glad that they offer different classes outside of Power.

I just completed my second class at Highland Yoga and it has been nothing but positive vibes so far! Both teachers I’ve had have been welcoming, kind, and highly skilled at guiding a challenging flow. The room is just the right temp for a sweaty but not too hot workout, and is perfectly glowy with natural light. I feel welcome and encouraged. The sign-up/check-in process is very convenient and simple. What more can you ask for!

I signed up since the studio was offering $30/first month, unlimited sessions for new students. I have had a great experience so far! I will definitely be signing up for more classes after the period is over. There’s plenty of time slots and different types of classes throughout the day, the studio is clean and all of the instructors I’ve had so far have been really friendly and helpful. The only thing I would say is that if you are new to yoga, you’d probably want to start with the slow flow classes. The power yoga classes (in my opinion) are not for the inexperienced or newbies.

My only dislike is that the studio plays a lot of music with lyrics and it’s that hipster edm with a white lady singing the music. Throws the entire vibe off. Wish it was more geared toward tranquility and meditative sounds or instrumental. 1000% ruins my practice every time.

I especially appreciated my class with Kathryn Hays. I was stretching my hips before class and it seemed like extra focus was on hip opening. The end of the day high power class was slightly challenging to keep up with but in a good way. The suggestions to modify poses felt genuine. I prefer studios with a smaller teacher to student ratios and showers. I’m not sure why entering and exiting classes in the memorial location is so awkward. And the charge you to rent a small towel deal feels pretty corporate. Nevertheless I’m enjoying my discounted month.

Really lovely welcoming people. Instructors were were well educated in a particular series of poses but welcomed students modifying. Studio atmosphere is very quiet. I am enjoying my first month of Highland Yoga (for $30! Unheard of!) and look forward to many more months of practice here. The space is lovely and the yoga is appropriately challenging - the community here are dedicated yogis. That said, they do seem to make it approachable for beginners, so I would feel comfortable bringing a new yogi to these classes as well. Come for the practice - stay for the cool, essential-oil infused towels at the end!

I have been going to Highland Yoga, mostly at the Memorial location, for more than a year and a half. It's the fitness activity that is making the most difference in my strength and endurance in my life. I'm older than the average student (55) but I've steadily made my way toward being able to complete even the most vigorous flow classes (although I prefer the slow and steady class). Sometimes I have to slow down or take extra beats between poses, but this works for me. The quality of teaching is consistently excellent, although teachers each have different styles/areas of emphasis, and they are all willing to work with you individually on poses after class. Also, there are all different levels of ability and body types in the room, which makes it feel welcoming and accessible. Everyone is friendly. So grateful to have this studio in my neighborhood!

I've been using this studio because it's the closest one to me and had a membership level that worked with how often I want to go. However, I wish they had better class times on weekdays. The 4:45 is too early since I get off work at 5 and the 6:15 is later than I would prefer. The instructors also don't do any modifications/assistance and as a beginner I'm always a bit worried that I'm doing things wrong since I don't get any feedback.

I am new to Atlanta from Orlando but have been practicing hot yoga for 15 years. This studio was nearby and I feel like I chose well. The check-in was simple after signing up online. I chose to buy the 1 Month of Yoga for $30. You can use it at any of their 9 locations. There’s a water fountain if needed and secure place to store your things. Class was crowded but I had enough room to flow. The HY Power Flow class led by Ally had an excellent flow and energetic music with great mantras/lessons at the beginning and end. We were given a fresh, cold washcloth with essential oils right before corpse pose. It was divine. I really look forward to the next one I attend.

Honestly wish I could leave a better review, but there’s much to be improved upon.

The space is nice and the power flow class was good, but not for me; it was a bit too fast paced, in my opinion, and I felt like my form went out the window bc I had no time to land the poses.

I don’t understand the logic of having no one at the front desk while there’s a class in session. I must have impeccable timing, because every time I called this studio(about 10 times), it would go straight to voicemail, meaning the two people working there were in a class. I left a voicemail after the first time I called, asking for a call back ASAP, bc I left something in the studio. Of course there was no way to get my things, even 10 min after I realized, because they lock the studio and no one is at the desk during a class. I’m glad it wasn’t something truly important (this could be quite dangerous if it was). I did eventually get my things back the next evening, but it was not easy to get a hold of anyone.

I also do think a shower would be welcomed at a hot yoga studio, and a $10 yoga towel rental is a crime… buy one instead.

Beautiful studio. Nice people. But they don’t respond to requests for help. The studio used to be for vaccinated only clients. At some point that changed but my repeated queries for information on this have been ignored. They also do not keep their studio at the 92 to 94 degrees they advertise. The last class I took was 105 degrees but my feedback produced no answers.
