The owner/manager Katherine is an extremely rude and unprofessional person and she should not be allowed to talk to customers. She has no respect for her customers since she probably thinks she can take advantage of her primarily student client base (even though they’re the ones supporting her livelihood) and has no qualms against calling them up and straight off the bat swearing and belittling them even when they’re being respectful. She came off extremely immature and uneducated. This gym illegally charged me twice without me ever going to the gym, or signing a gym membership contract/picking up a mat (they acknowledged I didn’t have a signed contract on text earlier, but later falsely claimed that I “signed one over the phone call”) and they also record phone calls illegally without disclosure. They have no corporate email to complain, and it’s all up to that vile woman who owns the gym.
I had a family emergency and had to leave GA, and while they initially agreed to refund me over text, weeks later they said they won’t despite me not visiting this gym or using any of its services even once. When I repeated all this to Katherine, she stated verbatim “that’s irrelevant, I don’t know why you’re telling me you had a family emergency and had to leave GA,” and when I asked her to confirm that she did indeed say that’s irrelevant, she said “I don’t deal with bullshit,” and started yelling within 5-6 seconds into the call.
I informed other HOTWORX locations of this owner’s behavior and they apologized on her behalf and walked me through actionable steps. Will never ever recommend this gym due to the horrific ownership/management.

The door is almost never locked that’s too dangerous especially because theirs always homeless around. I would like to go at night after work but considering that you never know if the door will be locked or not I rather not . They should fix that

I have recently signed up for hotworxs membership and I am highly disappointed that most of the equipment I have used there are like 2 or more machines broken. There is a sauna with no sound and lights coming out of the ceiling. You need to get these fixed.

The worst location I have been to. A lot of things are broken or have a lot of wear and tear. To be paying as much as it is monthly you would think they would have better upkeep.

DO NOT sign a membership here if you don't want to get scammed out of your money! The membership sign up is especially deceitful to anyone hoping to join late into the school year since you are locked in unless you want to pay $99 to terminate. Per their "logic" and policy that was intentionally very vague upon signing up, I should have put in my notice to cancel the day I signed up! 2 months notice to cancel a gym membership is ridiculous and an absolute scheme to scam their members. Also would like to mention that upon the "promo" that I signed up with, it would be $40 a month, yet I am getting charged $60+ a month?? Also verified with the employee that this rate would be honored, yet my credit card statement says otherwise. My experience at Hotworx has been nothing but shady and deceitful. Do not sign up at this gym, will not be doing business here again and will be sure to warn my friends against their dishonest business practices.

The attempts to scam college students in Athens by burying information in a long contract. The website and advertising states you are locked in for 90 but you are actually locked in for 150 days as you have to give 60 days notice to cancel so you will be continued to be charged for 2 more months. To immediately cancel costs $99

I love HotWorx but I visited this location while visiting my parents and it was terrible. There's a review from a year ago talking about the poor conditions, and nothing has changed since then. It is a gross studio and some of the negligence actually presents dangers.

The workouts are nice but you are locked in for 3 months after signing up and it costs $99-$120 to cancel so definitely be sure to get all the information before signing up. To immediately cancel costs $99 or there’s a 60 day waiting period where you will be charged for those 2 months and you can use the facilities during that time. I thought I read the entire contract and I was aware of the 3 month lock in, but the cost of canceling the membership must have been buried in the fine print.

I love Hotworx and the workout here definitely delivered just like my home studio. My review is aimed at the college students who don’t wipe down their equipment after use. I’ve visited three straight days and I have yet to see anyone pulls wipe except for myself.

Hotworx in theory is amazing. Well rounded workouts and the benefits to spending time in the infered saunas are well documented.
The problem with this one is the owners don't take proper care of it. It seems they treat it as passive income so they don't like to re-invest in upkeep. I had sent emails when something has broken and been told 'it will be fixed soon' only to now months and months later still have those same things broken.
Hotworx wants you to pay a premium price (it's double most other gyms here) but they don't follow that up with the service it requires.
*None of the blast machines (a seated hit machine in one of the sauna classes) screens work. The whole point of a blast workout is the instructor tells you what level to put the resistance lever at without screens there's no way to know what level your at. (These have been broken 6+months)
*The cycle bikes break a lot, it takes awhile but usually simple things get fixed on them. There's one where the handle bars won't lock so any pressure makes them shoot out to their furthest extension but that's been broken like that for years.
*They just started a new one with rowing machines and one of them is already broke
*Some of the water holders in the sauna have been broken/missing for going on a year plus.
*Lately especially they've been running out of sanitization wipes so you can't wipe down machines.
* This is going to sound weird but no one dusts. There are so many spider webs behind the weights and between the lockers and wall it's creepy anytime you have to go near them.
Great concept but unless they have a manager that actually cares about the cleanliness and upkeep and owners that give them the budget to do those things it will never be worth the money they charge. Especially since my new gym I pay $30 get classes included, have real weight equipment and machines then I just use the gym sauna afterwards

Been a member since November 2018. I truly believe these workouts have helped my overall health. Losing weight is much easier, but more than that I love the workouts, sweating, and challenge. Counting calories on your watch is also motivating. Give it a shot!

I absolutely LOVE Hotworx! This is not just a workout, its a relief system! Every time I was feeling stressed I would come here and feel like myself again. The staff is so friendly and accommodating! They also keep the equipment clean and the facility organized. Also a great place to go for a quick workout if you're in a time crunch because some of the classes are only 15 minutes! Highly recommend this place!

Great place for workouts but communication, common sense and customer service are lacking. They require a two-month advanced notice to cancel your membership. They clarify this when you sign your contract. On Nov 2nd, I canceled it knowing I was moving out of the country early January. That is all of Nov and all of Dec as my two months advanced notice. They however still charged me in January because they charge the automatic payment on the 1st. The manager was unwilling to override this issue. It is not written in the contract and was not communicated in person that November does not count in my notice. In fact, the staff stated that I would not be charged in January. Very frustrating situation and do not advocate for this disappointing service.

I absolutely love this facility! It is a 24/7 facility so I am able to come in on my own time. They have such great infrared workouts that have noticeably improved my skin, flexibility, cellulite, and not to mention physique. Love the staff as well, they are super welcoming!

Absolutely LOVE this infrared experience! They have a variety of virtually instructed classes so no matter what I feel like working out for the day, there's a class for it. Also really like the FX zone- while it isn't a full gym there's still enough to work out every body part with weights. The staff sometimes has challenges/competitions with prizes!

If you are looking for a new gym this the place. I’ve been interested in trying Hotworx for a few years, until I finally went to check it out in December. They have a wide range of workouts that allow you to change things up each time. The girls are always excited to see you there and encourage you on your journey.
