I don’t participate at this UKS studio, but my sister went to school with Jesse, and I went to school with Brian. Both are great men.
Anyway, I was at the First Bank ATM, parked just past the actual ATM, due to my vehicle’s height and had to walk up to it, earlier tonight, and a gentleman in a UKS van took the time to make sure everything was ok with me and that I was not under an duress. It warmed my heart to know there’s still good people out there.
If Jesse runs his studio with the same compassion, which I’m sure he does, then I would highly recommend anyone to participate at this UKS studio, if interested in the martial arts.

Was told that my son could join his friend in the buy one membership , get one free & that although my child was just friends with the child being enrolled, they were going to make an exception. I called today to ask a specific question & it led to being told no , that conversation never happened and that he can’t participate in the free enrollement . So now I have a 6 year old who was extremely let down & started to cry , all because their family has poor communication skills at this studio. So because they didn’t keep their word & couldn’t properly communicate amongst eachother, they missed out on a good investment opportunity because if my kid had enjoyed it , I would’ve kept him in it and paid for future memberships. Not to mention she was rude answering the phone & didn’t sound very personable. Sorry but you can’t back out of a verbal agreement & have bad customer service skills & let down a child like that and not at the minimum get a bad review. So will def be taking our business to a more preferred karate studio. 😊

I met Mr. Thornton over twenty-four years ago for an introduction class. He has always been an encouragement to my entire family and I. He has always prayed for me when I needed it and has been there for me as a mentor through my teen years and I still look at him as a second dad. I made it to first gup red at 17 and as life happened I had to stop. At 37 I've decided that it was past time to finish what I started and Mr. Thornton was more than happy to welcome my daughter and I home. His wife is a very precious lady and his sons are AWESOME

I have been training with Mr Thornton for 3 years now, and the self confidence/ discipline I've learned in that time is fa- nominal. Mr. Thornton is an amazing man, and like a father figure to me. He is truly an amazing man with a big heart that loves God with its whole ability. He will never give up on you, he will just keep on rolling with the punches. He truly lives his life for God, and you can see that every day. If you are looking for something that can help teach your children self discipline, or self confidence, or you or your child just want a big group of people you can trust no matter what, Mr Thornton's is the place for you. He help me, and he will for anyone who needs it. Not truly 5 stars, but 10!
