Katie is a fantastic trainer! I've been training with her one on one and loving it. Katie is so knowledgable about strength training and designs awesome workouts. She tailors the workouts to my goals, gives clear instruction on form, and works around my injuries. She strikes the perfect balance between challenging me (which I need!) and encouraging me. I came to Katie as a yogi interested in strength training. Investing in a new skill is awkward and intimidating. Katie really lets you move through it with proper form, until you get it. I highly recommend you just envision yourself moving as she demonstrated. She allows you to develop at your pace but also enforces gains. I signed up to train once a week. Quickly realized it was my favorite hour of the week so I bumped it to twice. Until I can motivate myself to work out on the days I don’t want to, I’m keeping my schedule. The hour is safe, fun, empowering and powerful. If you have goals, Katie can get you there. If you don’t, she can assign you some.

I took Katie’s 12-week women’s strength training program this year and i’m so glad i did! I had no prior formal experience in weight lifting and after completing the program i felt so much stronger and comfortable. I noticed a huge difference and improvement in my daily yoga practice. Katie is a fantastic trainer. I participated in her Women’s Strength Training program as I’ve been wanting to build more muscle for a long time but have been less than enthused thinking about joining a gym. I was in a small group of women and it was both fun and empowering. I participated in both Katie's strength for yoga workshop and women's strength training program. As someone who does a lot of yoga but hadn't lifted weights in years, I had sustained various injuries due to over stretching and under strengthening certain muscles, including the dreaded "yoga butt". I knew I needed to incorporate weight lifting into my routine but was completely lost at where to start. In the strength for yoga workshop, Katie did a fantastic job of explaining different movement patterns and exercises to incorporate into your routine to complement your yoga practice. This also included an amazing ebook with weekly workouts for yoga practitioners that you can do at home with minimal equipment. I absolutely loved her women's strength training program, so much so that I signed up for a second round! Katie creates a judgement free environment where a small group of women can learn proper form and build strength. After participating in this program and doing Katie's at home strength for yoga workout, my body feels stronger, my yoga butt has gone away, and I'm much more confident lifting weights on my own. Thank you, Katie! :)

I participated in the first round of Katie's ATL Women's Strength Program, and it was (and continues to be) a total game-changer for me. Before joining the program, my strength training was limited to sporadically doing squats with 10lb dumbbells at home. I was totally intimidated by the gym because I didn't feel like I had the education or confidence to lift weights. From day 1 of her program, Katie created a safe, non-competitive, judgment-free environment to learn about strength training. The structure of the program allows you to track and visualize your progress throughout the 12 weeks. My proprioception (new word!) has vastly improved, and as an added bonus, I made friends! For the first time ever, I'm comfortable using barbells at the gym. And I had so much fun in round 1 of the program that I signed up for round 2. I cannot recommend working with Katie enough!

I was part of Katie's first group women's weight training class. Katie was wonderful to work with. I had several injuries in the past year so I was not sure how to get back into weight training, and she really broke everything down step by step, and made sure that we had good form, no matter how much we were lifting. The chronic pain I had in my IT band and my elbows is just a memory after 3 months in this program. Katie knows that we all want to look good (and strong) but she is definitely mindful of the practical benefits of weight training, like carrying a heavy suitcase.
And, of course, she has great music and makes training as fun as it is beneficial.

I decided to join the “Teach a Woman to lift”- 12 week program and it’s been worth it! As someone who’s always been intimidated by the gym and lifting weights, Katie lays out everything with easy to follow along videos and written directions for work outs. The app has been great at keeping track of all of my workouts and I can message Katie with any questions I have. I absolutely love our weekly zoom check ins that keep me accountable and they make me feel like someone truly cares about my physical and mental well-being. 10/10 would recommend Katie and any of her programs…totally worth it!!

Katie’s custom program gave me the support and structure to reach my personal best body composition. Forever a skinny/small/tiny person I struggled to gain muscle mass; Katie helped me gain muscle and increase strength while maintaining flexibility.

I trained with Katie during my pregnancy to make sure baby and I were staying healthy. Being the first pregnant client (I think!), Katie did a great job with finding pregnancy safe workouts that still focused on strength and stability. As I progressive got bigger, Katie was super responsive with changing things up as my needs changed and I gradually lost sight of my feet and any core abilities I once possessed. I firmly believe that working out under her guidance gave me the best postpartum foundation for success, helped me maintain a healthy pregnancy, and I can’t wait to get back in the swing of things with her. I really liked that workouts were not crazy long, but still challenging and made you feel like you were being very intentional with your time, not just spending long hours working out, forgoing your actual life to see physical changes. The app is great for communication and seeing what the movements are supposed to look like-so helpful!
